Excellent experience. Exceptionally well located near Sol and Plaza Mayor. Room was large enough, but the bathroom was wonderful with a rain shower and quite large. Stadf very helpful. While there are an abundance of restaurants in madrid, the Cafe Varela, within the hotel was OUTSTANDING. Actually, nothing to complain about.

Area is convenient and close proximity to attractions. Finding the hotel and parking was a challenge due to lack of signage and information on site. Given the hotel is in a very busy area of city centre and that tourists are not familiar with the area and the traffic signs, it was a nightmare to locate the hotel by car. Rooms were clean and ok size but no view in most rooms. Most front desk staff were not welcoming or friendly at all. It felt like non of them wanted to be there. We were expecting more from a 4 star hotel in Madrid. I would not return.

Strong Wi-fi, clean room, strong AC... gorgeous lobby and hallways. We only stayed 1 night and I loved everything about our stay. The room had some miscellaneous furniture that could be improved (desk, chair, etc), but otherwise everything was clean and comfortable. I liked that the drinks in the mini bar were complimentary. Staff was curt and professional.

Our stay was fine. Our room was large and the beds were comfortable. I thought it was a bit dated. There was not a coffee maker in the room. Just instant coffee with a hot pot. The shower ceiling had mildew spots all over it. We had a balcony that had a canvas cover that was full of rain. We were afraid to sit out there too long that it might drip all over us. The front desk was very helpful in calling cabs for us,but was not overly friendly. The location is good, but it is very noisy. If you like being in the center of the tourist area this is a good choice. I just think it’s a bit pricey for what you get.

Outstanding property in a nice location. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was great. The only small critique is the lights in the room/ bedroom were all controlled by one switch which meant all on, and too bright, or all off and too dim. Could be an easy improvement.

The Hotel Preciados is in a great location, close to lots of dining and shopping options. It’s also within walking distance to many of the historic sites that travellers are likely to want to visit. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the free mini bar that was kept stocked with a variety of drinks. It was very hot in Madrid at the time of our visit and we found that the air conditioning in our room did not cool the room enough to feel really comfortable at night. It can be a bit noisy at times at night due to the close proximity to all of the bars and restaurants but it did not disturb our sleep.

Although my room was in a weird location on the floor, literally hidden behind what seemed to be an emergency door (a door behind a door), the room was impeccable, spacious, and very comfortable. From the bedding to the service, everything in the hotel was top notch. The location was fantastic, it was centric and in the middle of it all; with that said, the interior of the hotel was very quiet.

I had an inside, tiny room. Did I choose this, maybe. Or was this a “cheaper” room listed on Expedia? While tiny with no view, it was clean, well appointed & quiet. Ok for 1 person. The bath was especially nice & updated. The staff were excellent. Very close to the Palace, Cathedral, Opera House, & Grand Via the main shopping street. Not too far by foot to Plaza Mayor & Mercado San Miguel for food stalls. Dinner at the attached cafe was good. Breakfast was so-so, but then I’m picky about buffet food. The staff booked me a taxi for my departure to airport & it was the same fixed rate €33 as my outbound on arrival. My sister stayed at a different nearby hotel & her departure taxi was €50. So Preciados staff did a good job.

Great hotel in a great location! The staff are awesome. In particular, Sean and Bon Villanueva went out of their way to help me find restaurants and a place to get a haircut! You walk out the door of the hotel and you are right in the heart of the action. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Everything about the hotel is amazing, starting with the front desk agent Ivan, if I spelt his name correct. He was super courteous, professional and accommodating since before I arrive in the hotel with all the help he provided me over the phone when I was still in the US. On my arrival Ivan was at the desk and I was happy to have met him in person. He also provided me with an early check in which made a whole difference specially being on a 6 hour time zone difference. The hotel is beautiful, clean, super well situated with a great staff. Like nothing is ever 100% perfect my only two negative points are: the breakfast price is a little hefty and I was in room 401 which outside by the window there are these humongous lamps hanging from the ceiling that according to the strength of the wind they keep wobbling and hit the walls around them causing a very disturbing, annoying thump that can be heard in the room throughout the night even with the window closed and the blinds down. In all, it’s a wonderful hotel, I would definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it.

Hotel Preciados is a very nice property, well located. Unfortunately they charged for a ballon decoration we didn’t order. Even do we explained there was no celebration or motive to ask for LOVE balloons, they insisted on charging and they did charged for it.

This was our last hurrah in Spain and we wanted an upscale stay which we got. It was not their fault but the garbage had piled up right in front of the hotel from the various restaurants, it was pretty awful and it took two days to get it out of there. However, the staff were top notch, the service was great, they were very friendly and helpful, as well. And the restaurant took us without a rez and we had a great experience- we felt special. it is a hustle/bustle like area, right on the edge of the “NY Broadway” type experience if you know what that means, but the hotel itself was quiet, and it is central to all the hot tourist spots so nothing is too far away. That made it convenient to drop off things as we were walking about that we bought. It was super nice not to have to park the car ourselves, we were not used to the tiny spaces these garages allow for a car. So the valet experience was a pleasant gift we gave ourselves. It was easy to get out of the hotel to the airport. In all, it is a wonderful experience, but it is not a cheap one.

Great location, lots of restaurants nearby and close to Metro Walking distance to many of the historical sites. I would stay here again Just an FYI , from airport terminals , 1 2 and 3 , the flat charge ,should be $22 and not the $33 my driver charged Nothing to do with the hotel ,just be aware

Our room faced a very noisy street that did not quiet down until well after midnight. After the restaurants closed, all the tables and chairs were noisily stacked up. Early in the morning all the trucks started unloading food for the restaurants in the area so sleeping was difficult.

Buen hotel, cerca de lugares de interés a donde puedes llegar caminando, la ubicación es lo mejor. El desayuno bufet es de precio alto para lo que se ofrece, muy poca variedad y diario es lo mismo, por otra parte los meseros no están atentos a recoger los platos, tienes que tener todos los platos sucios aplicados en la mesa. La habitación muy agradable, comoda y limpia.

Wonderful hotel for our 4 night stay. Near metro stations to travel further. Walking to palace was about 10 minutes. Lots of choice of restaurants near by. We had corner suite/room for the 3 of us which was clean and spacious. Great choice of food for breakfast.

Very great and clean. Black out shades were nice while we were adjusting to the time zone difference. It’s also in a great location. Only recommendation is to make the price of breakfast clear. We thought it was complimentary with the room and we were both surprised by the bill. Would have preferred to dine at nearby options with better quality breakfast and much cheaper.
