Poor from the moment of check-in. Room wasn’t ready ant check in time and just told to wait, we weren’t informed it was ready so had to go and check. Upon finally reaching the room it was still being cleaned. Had to park a fair distance away in the overflow car park, electric charging facilities were unusable due to people parking there. Pool was closed most of the stay which was the primary reason for choosing the hotel. Room was dated and had 3x types of fan/heater lined up as the air con didn’t work. Room was also noisy, music from the ceiling speakers in reception could be heard at all times. Really poor quality overall and way below what I expect from Marriott.

Very good hotel and close to airport for early flights. There a shuttle bus that takes you to airport. Plenty of parking available and GREAT food. I come here once monthly and I love its the fitness area is also great.

Spa and swimming pool not open during our stay. Very unsure how I had not noticed this when booking as it was a major reason we chose this hotel. Reception team were well versed on dealing with my complaint when I checked in so it is not just me who has got a surprise

Hotel is nice, clean and efficient for flights from Manchester..two nice restaurants attached. Big downside for us was we arrived to use pool and Spa facilities, but these were both fully out of order for refurb. We probably would have just used a cheaper hotel chain if we had known that at the time of booking on Hotels.com.

Check-in was quick and easy , no stairs so easy to get to room. Room was clean , modern ,with comfortable bed. Limited range of coffee AB’s teas available in the room. Two restaurants to choose from, menu choice reasonably good. Shuttle bus to Airport was easy to book, on time and driver polite and helpful. Airport is literally around the corner.

Dirty tumblers on the floor outside the room from when we arrived and for the whole of our stay. Pool out of order (the pool was the main attraction for us) and had to chase twice for compensation (originally offered free parking as compensation and then 25% after z as mother complaint). No butter and no full fat yoghurt at breakfast, staff didn’t understand the difference between margarine and butter. Dirty and smelly carpet in the staircase to lower floor. Door lock broke and staff had me walk to and from the room 4 times and wait for someone to let me in so I was late for a business meeting. Dirt under the beds, looked like they haven’t been cleaned for a year or so. All in all not what we are used to when we have a family stay at Marriot.

Swimming pool and spa were good, lack of hot water in the ladies changing room showers. Rooms are advertised as air conditioned but this seems to mean a tower fan that made little difference to heat. Furniture in room was chipped and scratched and drawers not clean. Fridge was a bonus. Breakfast area had chipped furniture and in need of a deep clean especially the tables, even salt and pepper wooden shakers were sticky. Cooked breakfast was poor, scrambled eggs drowning in liquid, with poached the only thing that looked edible. I opted for the poached egg and items from the continental table which was fine but had been looking forward to a full breakfast. Disappointed.

We were really looking forward to this stay, and then we got here. Took over 40min to check in, staff didn’t know what they were doing. We then entered the room (after a long walk to it, with a 2yr old and accessories). Glasses dirty, glass table top loose and sliding everywhere. Very unsafe. To top it off when we told reception about this, she didn’t even apologies or seem interested. A blank expression on her face reassured us we won’t be going back

Hotel looks nice outside and in reception. That’s where it ends though. Beds are like those found in Russian Gulags. Rooms showing their age and the amount of dust under the beds only goes to confirm it. San Carlo is fantastic however.

There was an empty bottle outside our room on arriving. Dirty plates were left in the hallway. The well worn bottom sheet on the bed had little holes in it. One of the bath towels was a grey shade rather than white. Also had to pick up our car at this hotel, only one sign we saw at the front of the car park. Had to ask 2 staff members to figure out where the car rental office was. No clear signage. Was very disappointed in the hotel as it was overpriced for the room. Will not stay there again.

Clean & tidy hotel with great restaurants only a very short drive from Manchester airport. Unfortunately this time was not a great experience. Room was far too warm with no visible control to turn it down and we also seemed to be next to a generator/boiler room. It was very noisy.

Clean spacious room with the travel cot ready on arrival. Perfect for what we needed, a relaxing start to our holiday. A shame that the pool was out of use when we arrived but we weren’t planning on using it on this occasion so it wasn’t a problem. Thanks to the lovely reception staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall it was a nice experience. However, there are a few things that could be improved: I wish there had been a bit more lighting in the room. It was quite dark, especially when trying to do makeup. It would be great to have an extra roll of toilet paper available without needing to ask for it. The toilet flush was quite weak and didn’t always work properly. The water pressure in the shower was also rather low. Despite these small issues, I truly appreciate the stay and the good service. Thank you for a nice visit!

I stayed here for 2 nights for work, I have stayed here many times before as it is ideal for business meetings and seeing clients in the local area. The hotel stay this time was not as good as previous times, the bar staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than serving, and in general the rooms are starting to get a little tired.

We stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our room was in the basement, with no elevator access, which was really tough for me as I have a bad knee. While the staff did help carry our bags when we checked in, we had to manage everything ourselves at checkout, which was really inconvenient. The basement had a strong carpet smell as soon as you opened the door, and the AC never cooled the room enough for us to sleep comfortably. The staff did provided us a fan, but it wasn’t enough for our family of four. For the amount we paid (almost $400 CAD per night), we expected a lot more. We also found a couple of spiders in the room. On our second night, we came back around midnight to find our toilet was clogged. While the staff responded quickly, they weren’t able to fix it, and we had to use the washroom in another room upstairs, which added to the inconvenience. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, even if it cost half as much.

Poor from the moment of check-in. Room wasn’t ready ant check in time and just told to wait, we weren’t informed it was ready so had to go and check. Upon finally reaching the room it was still being cleaned. Had to park a fair distance away in the overflow car park, electric charging facilities were unusable due to people parking there. Pool was closed most of the stay which was the primary reason for choosing the hotel. Room was dated and had 3x types of fan/heater lined up as the air con didn’t work. Room was also noisy, music from the ceiling speakers in reception could be heard at all times. Really poor quality overall and way below what I expect from Marriott.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent service provided by the breakfast staff, in particular. The hotel reception area is very clean and welcoming, as was our booked room. Also impressed with the scented aroma around the hotel corridors which made the building feel clean and fresh. Brilliant location and lovely surroundings. Our only disappointment was the unexpected overnight parking charge. Will stay at the hotel again.

Located off M56. Popular for business meetings. Hotel is tired. In need of revamp. Parking is a nightmare - too busy. Beware the walk from reception to your room - I was in 2500 and it was a LONG way to wheel some really heavy cases (no offer of bellboy). Breakfast was excellent and the staff there very friendly. Bar staff for drinks on ground floor bar/restaurant area were not at all friendly. Overall - an ok option if you are flying next day but there are better hotels right at the airport.

Pros: Use of amenities included - although used by other public members who arent guests and for what looked like 1-1 swimming lessons? Room was ready before check in time. Room was big enough for 2 adults. Cons: No plug sockets for use by the beds or surrounding areas. Only sockets were on the table where the desk/tv was. The heating in the room was broken. It kept bringing up an error message and blowing cold air. The temperature in the room was 15 degrees. My boyfriend went to reception to ask for assistance with this. We went to have a massage and use the amenities and when we got back, it was still broken. My boyfriend went to reception for a second time and still nobody came. I called reception around 9pm to advise that still, nobody had been to look at it. They asked if we'd like to move rooms - at 9pm the night before checking out- we declined, so the receptionist said they would bring us an extra heater - nobody did. Thankfully we had a plug in radiator which we'd left on all day & night to try to heat the room. I asked @ check in if we pay for parking now, receptionist Collette said 'dont worry ive sorted it', upon check out, a different receptionist tried to charge us for the 2 nights parking, we explained what collette said to be met with 'why would she say that'?. My boyfriend then explained about the broken heating, having to ask for assistance 3x and not getting it and not getting the promised extra heater - to which they then waived the parking charge.

Check-in was quick and easy , no stairs so easy to get to room. Room was clean , modern ,with comfortable bed. Limited range of coffee AB’s teas available in the room. Two restaurants to choose from, menu choice reasonably good. Shuttle bus to Airport was easy to book, on time and driver polite and helpful. Airport is literally around the corner.

Lovely hotel really handy for the airport with parking while you're away (charges apply as would be expected). Staff very friendly and helpful and good choice for an evening meal with either the bar, San Carlo's or Brasserie Blanc. Food good in all three. Breakfast good too. Handy free shuttle service to the airport which is only a few minutes away.

Very good hotel and close to airport for early flights. There a shuttle bus that takes you to airport. Plenty of parking available and GREAT food. I come here once monthly and I love its the fitness area is also great.

Swimming pool and spa were good, lack of hot water in the ladies changing room showers. Rooms are advertised as air conditioned but this seems to mean a tower fan that made little difference to heat. Furniture in room was chipped and scratched and drawers not clean. Fridge was a bonus. Breakfast area had chipped furniture and in need of a deep clean especially the tables, even salt and pepper wooden shakers were sticky. Cooked breakfast was poor, scrambled eggs drowning in liquid, with poached the only thing that looked edible. I opted for the poached egg and items from the continental table which was fine but had been looking forward to a full breakfast. Disappointed.

We enjoyed a four night stay here on arrival from Australia, for a family wedding. We had booked a family room. Two queen sized beds. The breakfast was a good choice and standard with full English and continental choices. We ate twice at the Bistrot. Excellent French cuisine. My husband is French and rated it highly. My parents stayed in another room and unfortunately on arrival my Mum was ill . The staff went to great efforts to make sure she went to the emergency and showed a high level of concern and care. I am a doctor myself and appreciated their help. The leisure club was lovely. A nicely heated pool. The rooms were warm and quiet. No airport noise at all. Two EV charging parking places were useful.

The appetizers & drinks in the the bar were pricy: 4 pounds for 4 small slices of bread is too much. We paid as much in the bar as we did for the excellent dinner at San Carlo. Otherwise, no complaints.

This was our second stay at the hotel. The staff are really welcoming, the hotel is modern, comfortable and facilities are great, especially the pool and spa. We had the most wonderful meal in the restaurant (steak for two), the food was delicious.

Hired a car from Hertz on site very convenient. Check in was smooth and informative. Room was large with 2 double beds and a bath with shower over. Very clean room and all facilities you would expect from a premium hotel (bedside charging points, iron, fridge and safe). Leisure facilities were excellent and overall an excellent experience.
