Great stay - club room had a fantastic view of the Tyne and was very spacious. Parking on site - nice and easy. We also had a couple of complementary drinks when we arrived and a nice full English breakfast before we left. Bathroom a little dated but other than that we had a wonderful time. Would recommend to all.

The hotel is in a great location and parking is very convenient and very reasonably priced. The hotel lobby and bar area is nice but the lift areas and upstairs areas are dated. Bedrooms are far to hot the big ceiling to floor windows are great but only a tiny part of the window opens.

The hotel location is excellent overlooking the quayside just a short walk from everything, it is in need of modernisation though , the bar is also card payments only , the bar staff were not very attentive as we waited for a barrel to be changed but when it was it took them a while to forget about our drinks !!! There is a bit of noise from the train bridges we had a free parking pass which we had to input every 24 hours for some reason using the “special” tablet team and coffee making in this day and age need addressed the kettle takes an age to boil and the cups are small my advice would be get some tea, coffee and milk before you go as there is a handy fridge , cold drinks from reception are ridiculously overpriced £3 for a coke !!! Maybe we are being a bit nitpicky but a few tweaks will help it along

The car park attached to the hotel is owned by another company. It is very very confusing as the website says £12.50 for 24 hours but when we paid £12.50 at 12.40 pm it says it was valid till 4.50 pm. A sign said something about redeeming your ticket at reception. The receptionist said we shouldn’t have bought a ticket and we should have gone to reception first , yet there is a massive 4 foot sign in the foyer and next to pay station saying pay on entry. Initially both the receptionist and manager said we would have to pay again as the car park is nothing to do with them and then the receptionist exclaimed , oh I’ve remembered we can put you the hours in free till tomorrow. We won’t be coming back.

Lift from car park was out of service so this was very inconvenient. Parking charges are also £10 per day Attended a course at the venue and the sandwiches catered by the hotel did not have any food allergy labels attached ..You could not tell what type of sandwich it was until you picked up the sandwich. Free bottled water provided in room. Very clean rooms and bathroom.

I was mostly really disappointed that parking wasnt included in the hotel. The main reason I booked was to have parking in the city and was happy to pay extra for it. Next time I will be staying outside of the city in a place that lets their own guests use the parking for free. Room was alirght but for that price again...parking should be free. So easy to do and is just due to greed.

Everything was great! I forgot some items and they shipped to me in London! My only complaint is that there is no heat in the gym, it was freezing in there…other than that, comfortable beds, hot shower s and great location. Staff very friendly

Reasonable overnight stay. Lovely riverside location but the hotel itself is tired and dated. Lots of notices in the room threatening fines for various misdemeanours. Mouldy bathroom. Breakfast was both overcooked and cold. However, staff were friendly and helpful.

The room had plenty of space. The bathroom was cramped and flooded whenever a shower was used. There was no explanation about housekeeping so we did not know we had to put a card on the door requesting the room be cleaned so it was left untouched during the two days there. The security people were miserable and did not respond when we said good evening or hello. Reception staff and bar staff polite and friendly. The view from the room was nice. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Bit pricey for what it is. But overall experience ok.

Good stay, staff were great, especially reception. Room wasn’t cleaned - there were 3 different tags to hang on the door dependent on what level of refresh you wanted. It wasn’t clear that the refresh meant the bed wouldn’t be made, simply clean towels. Bit disappointing to come back to an untouched room each day. Breakfast was average and for the price, expensive. Location good. Hotel next door has a great restaurant for evening meal.

Could not fault our stay at all. The room was absolutely immaculate, clean and also lots of room. We only stayed over one night but it was brilliant. Very comfortable mattress/pillows, clean bathroom and good facilities in the room, specially the kettle! The staff are very friendly and helpful and shoutout to George, one of the cleaners, who was extremely polite and bubbly and he recommended a few things going on in Newcastle! He let us know that if we needed any extra towels or tea bags etc, he'd provide this. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we will definitely be back. Really good value for money and it's also so close to the train station/city centre etc

Great location Good carpark, Good room but got a bad night sleep as extremely noisy with trains passing on the train bridge, seagulls squaking and drunken people walking past your hotel room window at 2 am even though I was on the third floor. Great location, but I won’t stop there again.

Some features of the room are dated, particularly in the bathroom. No hot water in the bathroom in the morning for a shower. Air con system was unreliable, maximum fan speed setting seemed very weak with little air flow and temperature regulation was poor. On the plus side, twin beds were very comfortable (subjective I know). They were Hypnos mattresses. Great views over the river and having a balcony was a bonus! The room was a good size, clean and quiet over night so all said and done not too bad as I paid a very competitive rate

Check in was quick and easy. Our room was okay and seemed very clean, although we felt it could do with a good update. We couldn’t close the Juliette balcony door fully so we could hear traffic and kittiwakes during the night as our room was on the East end of the hotel. We enjoyed the bar in the evening. It did seem strange to receive a text and email on the morning of our departure asking us to select a check out time. We already knew the check out time and left well before the deadline, but the reminders made us feel like they were keen to get guests out as quickly as possible!

Great location, with reduced parking rate of £12.50 for 24hrs for guests. Hotel has dated decor but rooms are large and clean. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room does not work (the panel said we had it set to 17 degrees as it weakly blew out warm air). The large windows cannot be opened and allow sun to stream in but no heat to escape. The room was stifling on arrival with no means to cool it other than a desk fan which helped a little. The beds are comfortable but the heat level in the room led to an uncomfortable night. We have stayed here a few times as it is good value for the location, but we would hesitate to stay during summer again unless we read that they have new air conditioning.

The night staff and security for want of a better word, had poor communication skills, made myself and female friend feel threatened and uncomfortable. There appeared judgmental and prejudiced. The day staff are professional and the hotel is spotless.

Great hotel in newcastles quayside. Nice river views. Everything was clean and how you'd expect it with friendly staff willing to help. Rooms are nice and big aswell! PARKING- give your reg at reception and then pay the cheaper rate at the machine also in reception.

Kind and caring staff, beautiful location next to river; close to a lot of the lovely places to visit in New Castle. 10 mins from Central Station therefore close to metro, busses and train to anywhere you would like to venture if you want to. You can easily spend a couple of days around the walking distance anyways, nice scenery, nice restaurants and nice people. Glad we picked this hotel.

Lovely clean room, lovely view from the bay window, beds and pillows comfortable. Toiletries provided though don’t like shower curtain in bath. Would prefer a walk in shower as climbing over the bath is a real slip hazard. Furniture in room a little outdated but plenty of space in room to move around, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge is a real bonus would have liked a bottle of water. Staff obliging but food served from the bar at lunchtime was poor, jacket potatoe tiny with virtually no filling, leaves and 2 cherry tomatoes for about £12 a rip off and tasted old and greasy. Sandwiches not that great quality either.

All staff were excellent..in particular Nicola at the front desk..nothing was too much trouble and with a lovely welcoming manner. The room was superb with a lovely view of the river Tyne from both indoors and from the balcony. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent and the fridge was a bonus. Breakfast was great..lots of choice in both continental and cooked. Decaf coffee and oat milk were on offer - very unusual! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be staying here again when in Newcastle and will be investigating other hotels in this chain.

Excellent location and lovely staff. Great breakfast and exceptional value. Delighted with parking facilities and general ambience. Only negative was the evening meal which was very disappointing but will definitely return.
