Stayed 1 night

The room itself was clean and generally well maintained. However, it was quite cold overnight, and there were no additional blankets or covers available in the wardrobe, which would have made the room considerably more comfortable. Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing. The overall quality and selection were poor. The yoghurt was labelled as Greek yoghurt, but it had neither the taste nor the thick consistency I would normally associate with Greek yoghurt. The fresh fruit selection was also very limited, and the coffee was particularly poor. For a hotel breakfast, I would have expected a much better standard and greater choice. The Wi-Fi was another significant frustration. The connection was very poor and unreliable, making it difficult to use properly. In a hotel, particularly when guests may need internet access for work or travel arrangements, reliable Wi-Fi should really be a basic expectation. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was a positive, but the lack of adequate warmth, very poor Wi-Fi and disappointing breakfast considerably detracted from the stay. Improvements in these fairly basic areas would make a significant difference to the overall guest experience.

Overall a good stay, being a conference centre it was a little noisy until the bar closed. The restaurant and the staff working there was very good, they were very busy but remained attentive and kept me updated on waiting times. It is definitely a good idea to book your table for the restaurant prior to arrival.

Stayed 2 nights

We stayed for 2 nights at the weekend. Really comfortable stay and breakfast was very nice. The only thing that let it down was our bathroom, cracking in the bath panel and sink and general tiredness of the decor. Staff were all so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you.

Absolutely terrible stay. Booked a superior room as I was staying for business and required an early start and so was in bed before 11pm. At approximately midnight guests staying in the next room returned and were very noisy. Having stayed in many hotels before, I always carry ear plugs, unfortunately, their noise was too loud and could still be heard even with them inserted. At approximately 12.45 am I decided to inform reception to ask if they could speak to the other guests, which they did. Unfortunately the noise continued. I then went to reception and asked in person for assistance with the matter. Upon returning to the room with receptionist the guests then proceeded to start banging on the walls deliberately in protest at my complaint. The receptionist then informed me that the only solution was for me to move rooms. This is now at 1.15am. Having started to feel uncomfortable around the other guests I agreed to change rooms and in the process was accosted and verbally abused by the other guests, who, also watched to see which other room I was staying in, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I did not sleep at all after this encounter and their behaviour was very threatening and I don’t feel that the hotel staff defended my position as the wounded party at all. Moreover, I feel they failed in their duty of care to ensure that not only did I receive a room that was adequately prepared for restful sleep but that they failed to provide a room that I felt safe in.
