Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa Phuket

Beautiful landscaped tropical gardens surround the resort. The staff are all really polite and friendly. The swimming pools are huge and the beach and sea sits just on the other side of the seating, with a sports centre that arranges kayaking, paddle boarding etc. The pool bar is great and the staff here are all very accommodating. I highly reccommend.

We stayed 22 nights here with a beach side cottage. Many positives with the resort, incl. zoo (open 2x 1 hour per day), large swimming pool and private beach. The breakfast has various alternatives, but we would have enjoyed if they added more variation to the breakfast. The resort seems to us a little bit worn down with some lack of refurbishment to become top rated. The resort is located somewate remote, so prepare for taxi/ hotel shuttle if you want to go to Kamala or Patong (or Phuket). Majority of the staff was very friendly, especially in the restaurant. Hope the resort add matrasses to the sub beds as they don't have that now. It's not very comfortable sun beds...

Room Clean, Staff always on their cell phones so i had to interrupt them to get their attention most of the time. Noisy staff in am talking to loud outside. No Free sporting equipment for pool etc especially when ocean was full of rocks and unswimmable all day until tide came in. Activities not complimentary either. Gym closes at 6pm prices for dated rooms and food quality (meat undercooked)was not adequate for high prices being charged. Not 5 star quality. They need to put money into that hotel to bring it up to 5 star The only hard workers who had 5 Star quality was the Grounds Keepers & Pool staff. The Grounds & Pool was Excellent! Sunset can only be seen by walking to the extreme end of beach at the Pier.

The hotels l was in the beach so I could enjoy it directly from the hotel. And the pool was amazing. One thing I didn’t like about was there were a couple of smoking spots by the pool or beach. The smoke from there bothered me a lot. It would be five stars if smoking was prohibited on the premises.

My expectations were high. The hotel has great marketing and the visuals on their site looked amazing. In reality the rooms were a little tired. We booked a two bed/ 2 bath suite with sea view which is one of their best rooms. I expected decent in-room coffee but this doesn’t come as standard. A cable car is available to take you to rooms on the hillside but this runs at limited daytime hours. Although buggies are available if you want to wait. There was considerable off-season maintenance work going on which was noisy and very disruptive. I would expect to know this when booking so I can make the choice to stay elsewhere. I think keeping this information from guests is actually quite dishonest. As a result much of the resort was not open and there was no evening entertainment. We chose the low season because it suits our schedule and we prefer it to not be super busy but felt that more effort was needed to create a fun atmosphere in the evenings. The private Beach is excellent and pool would be great but due to maintenance the loungers are very tightly crammed together leaving no space for privacy. This is billed as a spa resort. The spa is very good but I expect the wellness theme to reflect in the fitness centre. The gym is quite poor. For those wanting to workout properly there are no weights machines/cables. No pull up bar. No barbells or plates. And the dumbbell set is incomplete with weight markings missing from many and the odd dumbbell missing.

This resort is like a real jungle village, the amount of different plants, trees and animals is amazing.We had a wonderful stay there. There were mini zoo, swimming pool, beach. The hotel staff was really helpful too, especially Mrs Joy.Nice private beach and large swimming pool for relaxation. You definitely do not want to go outside of this place as it has everything you need in it. Fantastic restaurants with nice food. The is also a bakery, tailor shop and the happening Crocodile Bar which is a must visit.The breakfast was great with a lot of choices

Virkelig flot og rigtig god service. Det der trækker hotellet ned er deres cabel bil op til værelserne hvis man bor op af bjerget. Skal man fra poolen og op på værelset kan de nemt tag 20 min fordi man skal vente på cabel bilen for at komme op.

This is absolutely not a "5 star" Hotel. The room was not cleaned very well prior to our first night, the air conditioner made the floors and surfaces in the room sticky, couldn't be barefoot or in socks in your own room. Found a few bugs and ants were all around the property. I picked up plenty of glass from the beach, just a little while after staff had "cleaned" the beach area. Forget about coordinating the shuttle too! Worst hotel we stayed at in 20 days of Thailand! It was supposed to be a fancier place to stay! 3 Star resort (maybe).

Questo non è accettabile MAI, e per un hotel a 5 stelle dovrebbe essere automatica la compensazione. Non abbiano ricevuto nulla, solo perdita di tempo alla reception. Questo ha rovinato il viaggio e non siamo soddisfatti di come hanno gestito la situazione. Hanno controllato le telecamere a circuito chiuso per verificare, ma OVVIAMENTE nessuno va in giro uscendo dalle Camere con oggetti presi ben in vista. È finita con un nulla di fatto. Siamo molto delusi e dispiaciuti di non aver in alcun modo una leva oltre ad una recensione pessima.

Old hotel, bathroom not clean, pool water very dirty, trash on beach, depending on the tides there is no chance to swim, no restaurants or anything around, Worst part: Every day there is a „zoo“ in the afternoon. Every can hold/feed pigs, birds, big turtle, bunnies etc. birds appear not to be able to fly anymore, pigs are pushed around, birds are kept in very small cage in the full sun without shade. I cannot believe that this is still a practice just to amuse tourists. We checked out one night earlier. We do not recommend booking.

Location is great, staff was great but….needs major updating ….no ventilation in bathroom, ice cold showers for 3 days, house keeping skipped us, mequitos we’re def an issue, food and breakfast buffet just ok. We were talked into $3500 baht dinner because they said there would be a fire show but as we finished and paid for that dinner they cancelled the fire show. Great view but can’t really swim much cuz of the rocks.

Pool unclean full of algae broken tiles in pool difficult to walk into pool. Property very dated and not maintained. Spa closed so nearest massage is in Patong 20 mins away. Beach difficult to swim in due to low tides. Restaurant menu very limited. Better resorts near by. This is a 3 star hotel over priced

Thavorn Palm beach Resorts at Laron beach is awesome property. As we arrived , The check-in process at Thavorn Resorts and Spa was seamless, thanks to the Expedia booking reference which made everything quick and hassle-free. The staff were exceptionally polite and gentle, warmly welcoming us and, as a wonderful surprise, upgraded us to the private beachfront villas at no extra cost. This 5-star property is truly a tropical paradise blending lush flora and fauna with stunning ocean views, creating a serene forest-meets-sea atmosphere. The grounds are impeccably maintained—spotlessly clean and beautifully landscaped. The peaceful ambiance is enhanced by the gentle sounds of the ocean, making it a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. What really stood out were the numerous ancient Thai statues and idols scattered throughout the resort, adding a rich cultural vibe and bringing the surroundings to life. The petting zoo was a delightful bonus, especially fun for families or animal lovers. Dining here offers a healthy selection with plenty of variety, ensuring there's something to please every palate. The hotel is lovely, I would put it at a 5 star level, staying at many 5 star hotels. The staff is very friendly but in terms of fast service it’s a bit of a nightmare. The quality of food is below average whether you order of the menu or buffet, it’s nothing to make you think to go back for more. The pool is the highlight of the resort for sure, it’s just difficult for me to understand, you book 5 star and you get water temperature at full heat at 25-28 degrees and very little water pressure. The housekeeping is extremely slow, but sometimes only getting to our room to be made up at 3-4pm. The location is 5 star but everything else would be 3 star level When you say staff can speak English, i wouldn’t say so. We used multiple times google translate to help us talk to staff that didn’t understand us at all.

Overall an average experience. The property is very outdated. Bed/pillow sheets have stains on them. Room feels too humid and has molds on the ceiling. On the good side. The scenery is very beautiful. Food is good and the staffs are nice. Kids really enjoyed the pool access room and the petting zoo but we won’t consider this hotel again unless they do a full renovation.

Nice location by the beach, and rooms were ok but some needed to be refreshed a bit. We had a cottage which was nice and clean but had alot of ants in the cupboards and countertops which annoyed the kids a bit. Otherwise the food and service was generally good and the distance from the beach was perfect.

Overall the hotel was great with the exception of items, the bed and the WiFi. The bed wasn’t what I’d expect for a 5 star hotel, it was far too hard and the WiFi couldn’t handle Netflix.

I like everything about it BUT they should put in some shelving or dresser drawers for you clothes in you stay in one of the Hillside Units. The only complaint.

Had a good stay. Could have been better if we were checked in on time and not asked to wait for 3 hours. Also, it would have been great if the cake that was ordered for my mom in law had arrived on time.

We, stayed in both the tropical and the beachfromt ... The staff were amazing . Joy, maria and the team ensure me and my partner were able to create memories for a lifetime and help us when we ran into a local issues. Their willingness to go above an beyond will be a reason I would recommded and look to stay here again.

The excellent service of the entire hotel staff and especially of the manager Maria for her personal and professional service must be noted. For every problem and request, we received immediate service and attention even at night.

Too many workers in the restaurant did not speak or understand good English. Too bad for a place that relies totally on tourism.

Våra 10 nätter på detta fantastiska hotell har varit toppenbra. Vänlig personal från början till slut, alltid hjälpsamma, lyhörda med allt. En miljö som var magisk med ett troligen oslagbart poolområde i Phuket. Maten vällagad oavsett måltid och fint presenterat. Ett väldigt lugnt och fridfullt ställe.

The pool was great, the breakfast was very good. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in but they gave us a voucher for cocktails which was fine. We had to call reception for an extra towel and robe and the door to our room wasn't working properly so we had to request it be fixed twice in the 5 days we were there.

Thavorn Resort was a really great and gorgeous resort to stay at. It had all the facilities i needed and the beach was right there. The surrounding gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Staff were friendly and very helpful. A all round great experience. Will stay there again when in Phuket.

This resort was so beautiful. I came here with my husband and teenage daughter and we enjoyed our 2 day stay. The attention from the moment you arrive was great, we arrived a bit early, but went to go have lunch at the restaurant and the food was sooo delicious. Our entree plates, appetizers and dessert plates was presentable and delish and it exceeded our expectations. The resort is huge so our room was on hill a bit far to walk in this Thailand heat but they have a cable car and tuk tuk to take you to and from your room to the lobby area. There are so many beautiful places in the resort for beautiful pictures because of the asthetic of it. Pool was clean and we had clean towels daily. If you wanted to walk out the resort theres nothing nearby as everything is a drive down near Patong beach about 7-8 mins away by car. All in all I would be back with my family, but next time we’ll def get a room closer to the pool or beach.

If you want calm, beautiful gardens, amazing lagoon pool than this the hotel for you. 25 minutes to town in the free hotel shuttle is very handy. Jung Ceylon mall is fantastic for shopping and food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back. Recommend the pool access room.

The property was beautiful. Quiet beach, and awesome pool. We did an all inclusive option. It was ok. We were expecting more like a Mexico/Caribbean type of all inclusive. We were only allowed to choose from a smaller menu for food and drinks. We aren’t major foodies, and we went off site for some meals as well, so it wasn’t a show stopper, just something to be aware of, for others. It was our first time in Thailand and we have been sad about leaving ever since we left. Wonderful property all in all, and definitely hope to visit again. Peaceful and quiet, yet only a short tuk tuk ride to the action of Patong Beach!

If you’re after a resort-style experience, this is a good all round choice. There’s a shuttle to nearby areas, plenty of activities, and it’s well-suited to families travelling with children. The breakfast buffet is quite average, but meals from the Crocodile Bar were very good.

While the property itself is somewhat beautiful, the surrounding landscape needs lots of attention. Everyday we did see pool cleaners but no one caring for the lush landscaping around everything. They must have been doing painting between guests because we had plastic on our light switches and there was still painters tape on the fake shutters in the room. The breakfast buffet was huge, so many options and very good. The menu the rest of the day was just ok. All the Thai food was amazing but if you moved away from that you might be a bit disappointed. Ie….. the pizza was soggy so it’s hard to handle, the nachos are very flavorless and no salt somewhat stale tasting but they come with a small amount of guacamole which was runny and pico not salsa. The staff by the pool only work at the restaurant so no one comes around for drinks during the day. You have to go to the bar yourself for drinks. The lounge chairs by the pool were all very uncomfortable, one tour had a bar in the middle of your back but both were not good on the lower back. The petting zoo in the mornings is very cute, small colorful birds, piglets and rabbits all to feed. Lastly, if the front desk says they are going to contact you when you’re room is ready, don’t be surprised if they don’t follow through.

Such an amazing, peaceful experience here!! Cannot rave about this place enough. So beautiful, such friendly staff, was so sad to leave!! Breakfast was amazing - great restaurants for dinner options too. Everyone was just so nice and welcoming we absolutely loved our stay.

Not what we expected. advertised as a wellness spa resort, but reality is not! We requested an early check in as we arrived at 9am, this was not met, waited 6 hours for our room! Wasn’t given the right information at check in. If you book half/ full board or all inclusive they give you coupons, to present when you enter the restaurant. (did not like this at all!) you get a different menu, very basic and the same menu for every meal, after 3 days we were ready for a change!! Lots of young children, big inflatables in the pool, large groups, music playing all day, does not equal a place to come, relax and recharge! We had to ask to move rooms as the first pool access room faced out on the main pool area where everyone seemed to gather, making our room very public! (Room2114) avoid!!!! The second was like going into a different resort, room 2118! What made this place was the staff, all so friendly and accommodating, trying to take care of your every need! We got the feel the staff were being closely watched, which made the atmosphere a little tense! On a positive note, the pool areas and grounds were beautiful! A useful note, take pumps for climbing on the rocks for when the tide is out!

Stunning property! Comfortable beds. Included breakfast was FANTASTIC!!!! This stay is a must!!!!

Absolutely fell in love with this place. The breakfast was amazing. The food, the pools, the staff, the amazing lush greenery. Absolutely gorgeous property. We would definitely stay again. I would recommend a very small grocery store for small items like sunscreen, tylenol, etc. Not much on site for gift shop etc but it was all fantastic.
