This is one of the most unique hotels I have ever been to. Basically, they renovated a complex in the old city and transformed it into a hotel. So, the atmosphere is special and quite authentic. However, there are no blinds or curtains and one should know that many steps are all around.

Check-in was smooth and although we arrived 3 hours earlier than check in they were able to get us into our room within 10 minutes. The location is prime and the bar was fabulous with a piano and saxophone player the two night that we were there. The room was austere.

Great experience in an 800 year old build with the charm to go with it. In the middle of the Medieval section of Prague. If your driving a car it's hard to get there for a couple of blocks, but their doorman will valet your vehicle for a charge. Just blocks from the Old Town square and Medieval Bridge. Get the breakfast option for good food and time saver. Your out the door in the morning to explore.

Veldig hyggelig og bra Hotel i Gamlebyen. Veldig sentralt og lett og finne frem. Litt knot å komme med bil, men etter litt jobbing klarte vi det tilslutt. Parkerte ca 10 min unna. Bra restaurant og topp personale👍👍👍 Valuta for pengene her i høyeste grad!!!!

Had a ground floor with little traffic to annoy and room darkening curtains for the door. There were no windows in room and A/C needed adjusting as heating was too hot. The lication is fabulous-could'nt ask for better. Walked everywhere. The included breakfast was fine; however you have to walk thru the kitchen to get there.

The hotel and rooms are absolutely fantastic. The location is great! The only problem with the property is finding it specially if you are driving. There is no option to park your car yourself since the parking location is 1km away so the parking fee is the fee for parking plus the valet parking, no other option. Further more, you have to request your car 2hrs before you needed. But the property is beautiful and great location.

We had a nice stay at Iron Gate. The staff are so nice and friendly. However, the room that we stayed in had a funky smell. I am not sure if it is because of all the wooden furniture, but it smells like a septic tank! Also, the bed is too small for a double twin bedroom.

The hotel lobby, restaurant and staff were wonderful and the location was very convenient. I was disappointed with the room. It was very dark during the day with minimal lights. The bed was partially under a sloping roof that I hit my head on when getting in/out. The bathroom was very outdated and the shower curtain was covered in mold. It was hot at night and we could only open the windows to cool the room but it was very noisy. I don't feel like the room was represented in the photos that I booked.

Very close to the heart of Old Town area. This was an unexpected find via Expedia. The restaurant on location was very good. Service at the front desk and the experience checking into the room was a great experience. The room itself has a combination of "old town" charm with a few modern amenities. A lot of space in the room and an excellent view into the central garden. Would love to have stayed longer.

Very nice, centrally located hotel, just 200m from the main square and within 10 minute walk to most popular places in the Old Town as well as the trams to many locations. Staff were great and helpful, the shuite was spacious, well maintained and had the option of a lift or stairs. Wifi however was on or off and only 1 bar amd as expected was noisy outside over the weekend. Otherwise, a recommended stay.

Overall a plesant experience, but lacking in a few areas. The location is amazing, a short walk from olf town square and the Charles bridge. We stayed in a twin room, and the room was adequate. Everything was clean and the room were styled in an old fashion fitting for Prague. However, the sound proofing were quite bad - if some one were talking in the hallway, we would hear it as if they were talking inside our room. Earplugs recommended... Breakfast were, to be nice, not good. Placed in a small room which felt like the staff kitchen with lackluster options. Avoid paying for that and eat breakfast somewhere else, theres plenty of options just a minutes walk away. The staff are friendly and efficient though, and overall i would stay here again if i could get a decent deal.

We were very disappointed with the five-star Iran Hotel and Suite.After uber driver dropped us off, he admitted he didn’t know where the hotel was either. We had to ask two people for directions, and finally dragged our luggage down a rough cobblestone street to find it. The hotel’s sign was so small it was almost invisible; after quite a bit of wandering around, we finally located the entrance. By the time we arrived, it was already 10 p.m. The front desk staff were unfriendly and extremely slow, making us feel unwelcome. We had booked three rooms in total. The first one was acceptable;The second room, located on the first floor, was damp and smelled of mildew. When we asked to change rooms, the receptionist demanded an extra €30. After 40 minutes of negotiation, they finally agreed—reluctantly—to switch us to a room of the same category; The third room was tiny, right next to the street, and unbearably noisy at night. Fortunately, the front desk lady on duty the next morning was kinder and helped us move to a slightly quieter room.What was most unacceptable was that the hotel clearly had available rooms but refused to change ours unless we paid more. This is absolutely not the standard of service one expects from a five-star hotel. When we checked out, we discovered an unexpected “service fee” added to our bill. It was the first time we’d encountered a front desk charging this kind of fee. Overall, the front desk service was poor and the staff lacked professionalism.

I expected to pay a city tax. I was in a hurry at check out and not familiar with Czech currency so paid 300 crowns. I later found out that only 100 was city tax - the other 200 were “recommended tip”!!

I receptionists sono stati poco collaborativi, al limite della scortesia. La camera poco confortevole (ultimo piano mansardato!!!), il riscaldamento, nonostante le segnalazioni, non funzionava, sul 5 era tiepidino. Al check out, previsto per le 12, verso le 11,20 la chiave elettronica era già stata disattivata!!! Sala colazioni angusta, si deve passare per la cucina, con conseguenti odori. Unica nota positiva la vicinanza alla Città Vecchia.

En general bien, pero no es para un hotel de 5 estrellas. El hotel está bien ubicado y el personal es en general atento. Las fotos de la web no se corresponden exactamente con las habitaciones, sale una sola habitación y te hacen creer que todas son iguales, o parecidas, pero no, hay una gran diferencia entre ellas. En la primera habitación la ventana no cerraba bien, la calefacción no calentaba suficiente, el jacuzzi no funcionaba. Y por último, me hicieron un cargo que no procedía del minibar de 6.4€ por una botella de agua que en realidad no cogí, llamé escribí un correo y rápido contestaron que se habían equivocado, bien por la corrección pero son detalles que no pueden pasar en un hotel de estas características.

I didn't drive in nor did we shop. It's right off of old town square so it's very convenient for tourists and the tower suite has a view of almost every landmark in that part of the city. The staff were very helpful and even communicated with me on WhatsApp to update me on a request. It was a great stay.

A 2 mn de l'Horloge et à 10 mn du pont Charles, l'hôtel, à la décoration baroque, est magnifique. This is a beautiful property right in the heart of old town. The location is excellent. We prepaid for the breakfast and the buffet was very good. The staff was very friendly except for one night clerk at the reception. It is in a pedestrian area so if you get an uber or taxi it will drop you away from the hotel. We booked a taxi at the hotel to take us to the airport and that came right to the hotel door. Might be a good idea to contact the hotel to make arrangements for transportation to the hotel. At check in I gave them another credit card to charge the balance but they still charged my credit card that i had used to book. You may want to confirm and double check if you are doing the same.

Great experience in an 800 year old build with the charm to go with it. In the middle of the Medieval section of Prague. If your driving a car it's hard to get there for a couple of blocks, but their doorman will valet your vehicle for a charge. Just blocks from the Old Town square and Medieval Bridge. Get the breakfast option for good food and time saver. Your out the door in the morning to explore.

Amazing place with old school charm. I liked the daily replacement of nice travel toiletries. Great, walkable location, although cars can't drive right up to the place as it’s in Old Town. Breakfast was pretty good.

Location is top notch! Right next to old town. Astronomical clock is 5 min walk, Charles bridge is 10 mins. Plenty of food options outside. The attached restaurant has exquisite desserts! We stayed in a duplex which was great value and very luxurious. Breakfast was diverse and sumptuous with very helpful staff. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Seems very family friendly. Noise from the streets could be an issue for some as it is surrounded by pubs and night outers tend to be loud. The bathtubs were very high and people with mobility issues will have trouble climbing in. We would strongly recommend this hotel! The service, food and location all hit the spot!

A beautiful building with a pretty courtyard aream, ideally placed in the Stare Mesto (old town), very close to the old town square and other sights. In terms of the hotel itself it’s historic and the rooms are well equipped, though not everything you would expect of the hotel of this class. Compared to a 5* in London, this doesn’t come close to that standard, but for the price you still get a good standard of room and facilities. Rooms lack a proper coffee machine (instant only), but otherwise well equipped. However, the breakfast is awful. I would suggest either paying for a la carte options, or going somewhere else (such as the Cafe Slavia, which is superb). The buffet is very basic, with juice from a machine that is horrible, and served in a room through the kitchen (!) The staff are surly and ready to kick you out at 10am (which is also an early finish for a 5* hotel). Reception staff are friendly and helpful but service lacks the polish of a London 5*. Also I found my ground floor room a bit dark. Overall, but bad for the money, but avoid the breakfast.

Overall a plesant experience, but lacking in a few areas. The location is amazing, a short walk from olf town square and the Charles bridge. We stayed in a twin room, and the room was adequate. Everything was clean and the room were styled in an old fashion fitting for Prague. However, the sound proofing were quite bad - if some one were talking in the hallway, we would hear it as if they were talking inside our room. Earplugs recommended... Breakfast were, to be nice, not good. Placed in a small room which felt like the staff kitchen with lackluster options. Avoid paying for that and eat breakfast somewhere else, theres plenty of options just a minutes walk away. The staff are friendly and efficient though, and overall i would stay here again if i could get a decent deal.

Absolutely wonderful! This hotel is basically perfect. It is in the best location you could ask for and the rooms are absolutely stunning. The service was impeccable and the Deer restaurant was tasty. I can’t say enough great things about Iron Gate.

We enjoyed this hotel and will stay again. Its location suited our purpose very well. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. It is beautiful and well maintained. However, I would not buy the buffet breakfast again. The options for a pescatarian or vegetarian were limited or non-existent. The cheese was mediocre. Some of the food was prepped in advance which one might expect but seemed dried out.

Upon entering the hotel, the lobby was beautiful! The staff was very polite and helpful if we had any questions. The gentleman that took our luggage to the room was extremely helpful and explained how everything worked. The room was charming and comfortable! Our room was spotless and had a tea kettle with coffee and tea options. There was plenty of wardrobe space for clothing and bedside tables with drawers. It was very convenient to walking everywhere for restaurants, pubs, cafes/bakeries, shopping, and historical buildings. This is a wonderful place to stay and if we have the chance to return we will definitely stay here again!
