Everything was fine at the hotel and with the staff. However there is a very loud Irish bar across the street that is annoying if you are facing it. Nothing the hotel can do about it and they do supply earplugs.

A perfect location, a 15 minute walk gets you almost everywhere. The shopping, the famous bakeries, ice cream, soup restaurants, street food are all moments away. Walk up the hill from the hotel to the church or down the hill to the waterfront and the voyager sculpture on the waterfront. The staff are very pleasant, not in the usual over the top hospitality is my life dream way, but knowledgeable and willing to help may your stay perfect. The breakfast included is hearty, oatmeal with toppings, cereal, bakeries, herring, beets and sour cream. Hard boiled eggs, skyr and meats and cheeses for protein. Milk, juice, coffee and tea for beverages. Rooms can be a little small but fine for your visit. A great location, parking garage right down the street, with limited street parking. I would recommend!

Location right in heart of things. Room was nice size. Breakfast decent variety. Down side: parking is huge hassle as there is no dedicated parking and street parking is difficult. Can’t use parking garage if you need your car before 7 am. The Irish pub across the street had very loud music until about 1:30. And the biggest complain is the terrible bed. The coils poked against the surface when laying on the bed partially in the hip area. Made for a very uncomfortable sleeping.

Disappointing! I was given a room on the fourth floor (50 stairs) but was advised the lift was out of order. Although Rooms became available on the 2nd floor the following day (a couple I was talking to who arrived the next day were given one), I was told they could not move me. The lift was actually not out of order, but being replaced, so was not available for the entire duration of my stay.

Center Hotels Klopp is in a great location. It is walkable to many restaurants, sights, and bus stops. The included breakfast was simple but good. Only complaint is that there was a foul smell in the elevator. Overall, we were pleased. And I would stay there again.

That is convenience store, souvenir stores, restaurants, bars, tourist attraction all around. For the Expedia gold status, VIP perks they offer a drink voucher; however, the hotel itself doesn't have a bar so you will need to use it in other Central hotels.

Me and my husband spent 6 nights at this hotel and we had a great time. The hotel is in the city centre: it is very easy to reach lots of bus stops from there. The rooms are quite big, warm and cleaned every time you ask for. Breakfast is nice, I would suggest it should start at 6.00 am and not 7.00, as many tours start at 7.00. Anyway, they allow you to have a very early breakfast if you ask for, with croissants and hot drinks. It was a really nice stay!

First night of my trip. The best thing about the hotel is its location and the friendly staff, but unfortunately, that is where it ends. From the 7 places I stayed at, here the breakfast was the worst, with the most basic of all offerings. But the worst part was the room, which is in dire need of updating. The shower is grimy, dirty and needs fixing. I had no hot water, because the valve to turn it past a certain point was broken. So I showered cold in the morning and told the hotel at checkout. Honestly, Center Hotels has a few properties in town - for example the Grandi, so stay there instead: it is night and day, while also being at a great location. Again, staff was amazing, location is great, but the place needs plenty of maintenance.

The property is in the center of the city. Everything in Reykjavik that is interesting is walkable from this hotel. That's why we booked it. The rooms are tiny, almost impossible to move around. If you use the chair in front of the table for laptop use, then there is no way to reach the side table. The shower stall is about 22 inches by 32 inches and the shower stall ends six inches from the toilet. The hotel is clean. The morning breakfast is bare minimum, but was adequate for me. The front desk receptionist (Farouqe) was super helpful.

The single room was cozy but plenty of room - as mentioned by others, the bathroom is VERY compact with a small shower, but again perfect for one. Staff very helpful with directions and storing luggage. Try the Cocktail Lounge next door for fancy gin drinks in a restored Champagne Train car!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great and easily walkable to all sorts of bars and shops. The staff was friendly and check in process was quick and easy. The room was a bit small, but that was expected. It was also a bit difficult to keep the water from the shower from going everywhere because it was quite tiny, but it still worked well for us for one night. Would definitely stay again!

Great location but very loud. Across the street was the Irish Bar. Could not sleep. As we were checking in the guest leaving was asked about their stay and they said, "too loud". The room was very small. If your 5 ft 8 inches or taller you will have a hard time fitting in the shower. Not enough plugs to connect your electronics. Would not stay their again.

Lovely staff and great location apart from the fact it’s opposite an Irish bar! Which can mean a disrupted sleep if you are at the front of the property. Rooms are tired and bedding and towels feel old. Breakfast was good, small but everything you need. Staff are what make this a good hotel, they were really helpful and you are located in the centre so easy for shops, restaurants etc. But it looks dated and the rooms feel very basic. Feel it’s due an update.

My booking was cancelled without explanation at 5:00 PM and I was relocated to another hotel, Center Hotel Plaza. I was assigned an attic-style room with a ceiling less than one metre above the bed, which was unacceptable, so I had to go to the front desk to request a normal room. After my stay l discovered my AirPods Pro were missing; I messaged the hotel to locate my AirPods Pro but have not received a reply. I hope the hotel will take my request seriously and assist in locating and returning my AirPods Pro.

On the receptionist desk, there’s a sign board “we love chat.” It makes it easy for all the guests to ask questions about possible day tours etc. to the receptionists. I see all the receptionists were passionate in giving supports for tourists and exchanging friendly chat with all the guests. I believe all these excellent staffs’ attitudes are adding value to this hotel significantly.

This is a great place to stay to explore the city on foot and is a quick walk to the pickup for bus tours. It is a bit of a walk from the bus station to/from the airport, but certainly doable. Great staff, nice room. I would return.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, with almost everything Reykjavík has to offer in walkable distance. One block from the shopping district and lots of restaurants, two blocks from the bus stop, and a five to ten minute walk to Hallgrimskirkja or the harbor. Would definitely stay here the next time we visit Iceland!

This was good for one night prior to cruise. Good location. Our room was a bit small and noisy until the restaurant next door closed. Good blackout curtains. Breakfast ok.

Center Hotels Klopp is in a great location. It is walkable to many restaurants, sights, and bus stops. The included breakfast was simple but good. Only complaint is that there was a foul smell in the elevator. Overall, we were pleased. And I would stay there again.

For me the main priority is being able to sleep. The room was immediately opposite an Irish pub which played loud music until 3am both nights. I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to sleep!

Located opposite an Irish pub. Music till early hours with loud singing. Plus seemed to be a main thoroughfare all night for passing revellers. We got no sleep at all. Bathroom had a very strage smell also. Very small rooms.

This hotel was great and was right within walking distance to all of the shops and easy to get to the bus stations we needed for the tours we picked. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast there were not a lot of options and the WiFi didn’t reach our room.

Extremely friendly staff and super helpful. I’m in awe with the service they provided. The room had just what we needed, nothing more, nothing less. Not a big room if that’s what you’re looking for. It was big enough for us. We didn’t go to Iceland to spend our vacation in a room so not a deal breaker. Breakfast was amazing, they brought the breads and pastries fresh from a bakery every morning. Everything was delightful. The location was walking distance to everywhere we needed to go to.

The hotel front desk staff was very friendly and answer all our questions and helpful. The hotel was 2 blocks away from bus stop 14. Breakfast was wonderful. The lady who took care of breakfast did a great job working alone. Very quick and efficient and very friendly. Room was clean except not a fan of the shower situation. Floor got wet every time. Frig was a plus except we did not make use of it. We will next time. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Will definitely stay at this hotel next time.

Great location and helpful staff! We were able to store our luggage when we left for an overnight excursion. Breakfast was convenient and tasty! Just know if you want to get a takeaway breakfast to book 24hours in advance.

The rooms were clean and well kept. The breakfast was very good. My only issue was that sleeping there on the weekends can be a little rough with a noisy bar adjacent to the property. Sunday night was fine. It wasnt terrible, but if you go in a weekend, bring ear plugs.
