This property is next door to the art museum, recommended site to visit, close to their national football stadium, onsite car rental--but another car rental 3 minutes walking right around the corner for almost 1/2 the price. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. There are 2 restaurants onsite- a Japanese, where we ate once and their main restaurant--where we ate delicious daily breakfast and dinner a few nights, also delicious. The staff was awesome, the place clean and quiet. There is also a casino on site, but I didn't visit so can't make addtl statement. 5 minutes drive from downtown San Jose and 25 apprx from the airport. Would stay here again.

Great location, close to the heart of San José. The only detail is that the hotel parking is shared with the parking lot for guests attending events held at the hotel, so you may have to leave your car a little far from the entrance.

Ive stayed in countless hotels around the world and sometimes things dont live up to expectations, but always believed customer service and delight can fill the margins and make the difference. The delightful gal at the front desk made my wife and my last night during this visit a truly fine one. Oh, the property. Yeah. Spacious interior, ample and safe parking, easy access to the freeway, dining options, solid rooms, ICE readily available, and proximity to services are as good as it gets in town!

This hotel is really in need of an overall. The linen is of poor quality, carpets are filthy, and room smells terrible. The curtains should be lighter. A better coffee machine should be placed in the rooms. Just a really low quality hotel. Staff are very pleasant, though.

The hotel is across from a supermarket but there aren’t any restaurants within easy walking distance, and walking after dark did not feel like the right thing to do, so I ended up eating at the hotel restaurant, which was okay. Just okay. Hot water seemed to take a long time to get to the 2nd floor. The room had a coffee maker, but with porcelain cups, which made me wonder if they were dishwasher clean, or washed in the room with my towels. Ditto the drinking glasses. No refrigerator. Breakfast was satisfactory and they keep it open until 10:30 am, which was nice, as I’m not hungry when I first wake up. And if you bring a guest to your room for a visit, they charge an extra $50.

Staff went above and beyond to help me with directions and exchange currency. Bellman was extremely helpful in securing transportation and interpreting with taxi drivers. Restaurant staff was very attentive. Daily breakfast buffet always offered a variety of hot dishes and fresh fruit. Omelets to order. No complaints here.

We have stayed here twice and always enjoy it. Not much to do in the area but it’s across from a Walmart Mercado which is convenient. You can walk during the day but beware at night.

Excellent service, great staff, nice clean hotel. The breakfast included was very good. Great location, huge park next door. Good exchange rate given at the front desk. The only negative was the hotel restaurant and hotel boutique, very expensive and not good value. Better to eat and shop elsewhere. I would stay ther again.

Restaurante Nattivo consistently delivers sub-standard food and sub-standard service and all this at resort prices!! In my opinion they desperately need a professional to teach them back and front of the house basics like how to cook and perhaps offer the appropriate condiments like salt and pepper or ketchup when serving French fries or a hamburger!!
