Holiday Inn London–Shepperton by IHG has always been our family’s most favourite hotel in the UK. Whenever my son’s school term break or a long holiday begins, this is the first place we want to come to refresh ourselves and truly enjoy some chill family time. During this Christmas and New Year season, we enjoyed two unforgettable and amazing stays here (22nd–23rd December 2025 & 2nd–3rd January 2025), and once again, the hotel exceeded our expectations. Our wonderful experience began at reception. When we discovered that something in our room was not working properly, the amiable and professional receptionist Ms. Tea approached our room immediately. She showed us the utmost care and concern and helped us exchange for a much more comfortable and convenient room, especially suitable for my only son. As the kids’ swimming time was set until 7:00 p.m., Tea kindly suggested that we go swimming first and return to reception later to collect the new room keys. Thanks to her thoughtful arrangement, we had more than enough time to fully enjoy the excellent swimming pool, Jacuzzi, dry sauna, and wet steam room. It truly helped both adults and kids to relax and chill completely. After our swimming session, we were very hungry. At that moment, Restaurant Manager Mr. Nadeem approached us and brought my son some board games and painting sheets. My son was extremely excited, especially because Nadeem remembered him. His warm and thoughtful gesture made us feel very close and cheerful.

Clean and comfortable. Efficiency booked into hotel. We used the pool, which was a little grunby around the rim. Only slight niggle would be paying to park for the night £8. Hotel is in a pleasant area with a marina and parkland around it.

Good out of the way hotel which caters for the athletic types with a gym and swimming pool. Has a large car park good as you have to have transport to get to it.

Great hotel. Very clean and has a great small gym, pool area, sauna and steam room

Helpful staff , despite some IT issues. The lobby and restaurant were spotlessly clean. The hall way to our room could do with somw TLC, and the door to pur bathroom was the same. Gym was small with not mich kit there but the pool looked nice- no kids after 7pm.

Great pool and spa facilities, lots of parking, reception very helpful, meal at the restaurant was nice although a little overpriced. Amazing breakfast!

Good gym, pool

The service was really good overall, but there are two matters that need to be addressed On the second day of our stay, we went to the pool after signing in at reception.around 11am However, after about 10–15 minutes, we were asked to leave due to a regular class taking place. This was disappointing as we were not informed about it in advance, and the kids were really upset.

Everything is well-maintained. The spa and pool were a huge bonus. The bar area is great - spacious and comfortable, serving tasty pizza til 11pm. There's a beautiful outdoor area by the river. Breakfast is high quality. We wish we had booked another night!

Have stayed at the hotel a few times now and like it very much. The only fly in the ointment with our most recent stay was that we received a parking ticket for parking in the hotel car park. Even though we checked in and booked the car in on the screen at reception, this did not prevent us being threatened with the fine, which was swiftly dealt with by the hotel staff and revoked. We understand these things happen, and it would not stop us from rebooking with the hotel.

Enjoyed our stay, the room was spotlessly clean , the bed was comfortable, the under floor heating in the bathroom was amazing. We had a minor problem that was sorted when we spoke to the reception staff.

Safe wasn’t working and wasn’t fixed after being reported / checked. Lots of hairs in bathroom. Fridge was warm.

Very friendly helpful staff. Room was spotless and spacious. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Lovely breakfast and good choice of foods. Very nice stay thank you.

Room not clean, very noisy doors just outside the room and breakfast was terrible.

Clean and well run

Had a lovely relaxing stay. Staff incrediably helpful & friendly. Room was comfortable, my only comment would be the net curtains in our room could have been cleaner-black marks. Everywhere else very clean.

The staff at Shepperton were all amazingly friendly. The hotel itself was very very clean, our room was spotless and made up every day of our 5 night stay. The breakfast buffet was also top notch with a selection of and cold food to suite every taste. The air-con in the room was perfect, which was good as it was in the late 20,s outside. The car park is large and £3 per day, you really need a car as the hotel is out of the way. We used Shepperton train station to get into London, it is about a 25 minute walk there, the train takes about 55 minutes to Waterloo. The hotels fitness centre was a popular place, always somebody using it and the pool. The only problem we had was that the internet was hit and miss which meant that the tv apps didn't work, I ended up using my mobile as a hot spot for my laptop.

Hotel was very busy - coiridors littered with trays and old dishes not cleared. The first / second day of a 3 day stopover- room not serviced despite reguests

The room was dusty and not cleaned very well, hair in the bathroom for one. The room although refurbished is badly maintained with paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom and all walls and skirting boards scratched and dusty. You can also hear people in the rooms next door showering and flushing the toilet. Would never stay again.

The room to small for 2 people and no refrigerator in room .

This is a very nice hotel in a good location with a nice restaurant & bar. Only negative for us was the location of the room as our room was next to the fire doors which are closed at night so every time someone went through them the door would bang.

Lovely staff lovely room But very noisy was woken up several times but an event and people shouting and arguing. No air conditioning so windows open as hot room.

Very noisy toilet system sounds like drilling so they moved us to another room but should not havevhappend and was an inconvenience

Arrived at the hotel from a long journey booked a family room what I can I say didn’t full fit the family . Sofa bed was small and terrible no way could of fitted 2 children onit wasn’t happy ask the receptionist can we change room the answer was we don’t have any bigger size room but rudley just offered a refund back there and then no sorry or anything I would have took the refund but as I was travelling 5 hours drive lasthing I wana be doing is looking for hotels. Didn’t like the receptionist she was rude horrible and not welcoming.i would have had at-least like some sort of compensation for not full filling are family room for us . Would I stay there again NO.

Arrived and booked through Hotels.com, was greeted by reception warmly, was allocated room on the first floor, sadly no view whatsoever as it was blocked by Roofing, therefore made the room feel very dark. Room could do with a lick of paint and the air-conditioning unit seem to come in and wake you up on its own accord. Room generally film tired, but okay for a night stay. Parking is chargeable at eight or £9 per night, website states only £3 for residence, this is not the case. It was raining when I checked in, and the newly refurbished tiles on the entrance to the hotel are a death trap, so slippy.

The paint work in the room was really dirty and stained. The worst part was the air con. I spoke to Simon who tried to fix it, but the room was stuck at freezing. He was unable to fix it, so the room felt damp as it was so cold …. It was horrendous getting out the shower

Room TV kept going back to standby mode, so moved to another room. had dinner in bar area, had to wait a long time for meal. also was auto charged 10% gratuity on top of meal ! not happy with this.

Very good service as usual we always feel welcome when we stay here. We would like to point out your receptionist Tea was very helpful.

Loud banging of doors, people talking loudly in the corridors, running in the corridors. This went on all night long. We called the reception but nothing was done. Hardly any sleep all night.

Excellent stay in Shepperton, for a work trip. Celine was great during check in and check out, making us feel very welcome and showing our kids the play area in the lobby. A great selection and quality at breakfast, where Julie was a great server.

I was ahead of the queue so did not have to wait long but 1 person on check in peak time and a lot of people at the back of me. Got to the room no sofa bed made up for our some no bedding rang house keeping and reception twice no answer . After an hour I went down to see them yes I will sort said the beleaguered receptionist , he did not an hour later after multiple calls house keeping answered . “Are you in a hurry because we have only one team member on and a lot of will to do hotels full. .” No it’s ok we will go eat and you can access the room” An hour later not done , approaching 9.30 it was done all fine. Meal was better than last year same event , breakfast was great usual holiday inn style.

Excellent location for our trip and a 2 night stay. Hotel looks good, spacious car park. Room good size, bed VERY comfortable and aircon good. On arrival, male Receptionist quite brusque, almost offhand. No info re breakfast timings, for example, plus directions to our room were vague. Other Receptionist much more welcoming and helpful. Food….two breakfasts excellent choice and tasty. Two evening meals as per breakfast, very enjoyable. On the second night, all guests key cards were not working so trip to Reception to sort. Overall, would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We received poor service from the front desk lady named Nina. She was very pushy making us to confirm we have booked our room using a master card ending xxxx, with a very unfriendly attitude. We answer in an unsure tone trying to explain we booked through expedia and we would not have used a master card to book. She was very unhappy with the response and said "that's fine this is your key", without even letting us to finish our sentence. Ended up we were correct, most likely the master card is an expedia account, but we do not want to have another conversation with Nina. The gentleman helping us the next morning for checkout was nice and friendly, I hope the check-in with Nina was a one off experience.

Superb check in, extras and a refurbishments to the hotel resulted in an excellent stay that I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area or looking to commute into London

Very slow check in. Maid told me to check out was 10am not 11am which was frustrating

We stay only one night and it was great, you can walk into town with lots of pubs- restaurants etc. easy access to the train station

Property generally OK. However, it is quite remote and not much else around.

Reasonable hotel, with a mix of clients, business and tourist. Clean, modern with all you could want. Why they need to charge for parking is unwarranted. The hotel is fairly isolated.

Located in a quiet wooded area, the hotel could use some updating (like new carpet in the hallways) - Breakfast and room service are very good

Second time here with family. The atomsphere and facility is of 4 star hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is locates in a beautiful area and has great facilities. There is indoor swimming pool and a gym. It is close to many important landmarks including Thrope park. Also there are nice walking paths in the area

This is an older property that has been updated in recent years - It is off the beaten path - Not close to very much - Room was comfortable and the team were very nice and professional

Good Hotel,good breakfast but location not good.Far away from everything

It was quiet and a pretty scenic location just a bit inaccessible without a car

I always stay here when I am on business for the last few years All very good including all the staff But the breakfast options in the morning have gone down hill Please bring back small boxes of cereal and yogurt cartons plus juice cartons as well

Breakfast was great

Excellent facilities, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Food ok, breakfast - a good variety but taste was a little disappointing- I've had better, but would stay again.

My wife fell over on arrival and hurt her knee and elbow just before checking in due to rug not being properly set, flat on the floor. Staff were helpful and offered assistance. Breakfast was chaotic! To say the least. We informed reception manager of the breakfast problems, he said they were being looked into. Have photos to proof the mess at breakfast. Absolutely terrible!

I have stayed at the property a number of times and it is clean and quiet with excellent facilities. I did eat in the restaurant again this year, but the standard of food appears to have dropped considerably. This may have been a one off, chef not in etc, but we were disappointed with the food which we did inform the bar.

Room great.Bar ok but expensive with some drinks not available.Breakfast buffet not to usual standard, had a 7:30 breakfast and most items were cold

Food in the restaurant not very good. A few meals in our party were burn But a good breakfast
