We rented 3 rooms in in 2 of those the AC was not working. Also the shower tab was not useful, was not working. Staf was not of much help either. So that is the reason for 21/2 stars

The first thing I will say is that the staff are WONDERFUL! They went out of their way to be helpful. My wife tripped in Mdina and hurt her knee badly (no bones broken!) when we got back to the hotel, she was limping badly, and the staff made an ice bag to help the swelling and booked a taxi so we could get to the hospital to have it checked. The next day all those involved asked how she was doing whenever they saw her, and offered to get more ice or anything she needed. Thank you, Guys! The rooms and the public areas were all clean and tidy. No fault there, but the hair dryer in the room did not work, and we were told none of the hair dryers work, because they are a fire risk, so had been disconnected. So ladies, if you stay here take your own dryer, because the manager refused to supply one, even though it is advertised as being supplied. The other problem was the air conditioning. It works, and is sufficient to keep you cool at night, but not strong enough for the June heat during the day. I'd hate to think what it's like in August. We could not stay in the room during the day. Breakfast was normally okay. We paid for it up front. However, the juice was a poor watered-down concentrate. The cooked breakfast was okay, although on the last day, they replaced the hash browns with chips! Really? Chips for breakfast is a red line, and they were cold! To be honest, if it hadn't been for the wonderful staff, my rating would be lower. I doubt very much that we will stay again.

I had a very bad time while at this hotel since the very beggining. We arrived at the same time as a large group of people that apparently got booked due to a special reason (not sure if it was due to a cancelled flight or something similar) but they were also offered dinner. I explicitely told the receptionist we were not with them and he rushed us to eat, I though maybe it was part of the rate and also asked if dinner was free to which he responded yes. We went to eat and I again told another person me and my father were not part of the group he was including us into, he then went to talk to the receptionist who came to us again upset like the mistake was ours, I reminded him I told him we were not with that group and he still sent us to eat. I was charged 25 euros per meal for a less than a decent dinner, so a total of 50 euros for a mistake the receptionist made despite me telling him multiple times we were not with that group and making sure dinner was free. This person was very rude since we all arrived, I asked to speak to his manager but he did not want to give me a number or anything, just because I am brown, he assumed instantly I was part of another brown skin people's group and immediately treated rude. I do not recommend this place under any circumstance, the rooms are super small and outdated, the elevator broke multiple times and we had to use the stairs to go all the way up to 6th floor carrying our heavy luggage.

The hotel is on the Sliema seafront. Parking in the area is very limited so arrive by bus or taxi. Check in was easy. The receptionist on 2nd May in the evening was polite and friendly. The room was quite small, no balcony. The air conditioner wasn't working. It was set to 16c and high speed but it wasn't blowing cold air. There wasn't coffee, tea or bottle water. This is something I'd expect im a 4 star hotel. The bathroom was clean, the shower head fixed and quite low down. I'm not particularly tall but had to stoop to get under it. There was a lot of noise at night from other guests. The hotel staff did deal with it Breakfast wasn't great. Almost everything that's supposed to be hot wasn't. The coffee was ok. The hotel is ok but I can't really recommend it. There are better options in Malta for the same money
