A hotel that is really run down and now under renovation, where only 2 of 3 elevators was working leading to 10 minutes wait for elevators throughout the day. It was so bad, that hotel staff at peak hours guided guests to the staff elevators to minimize frustrations amongst the guests. When asking the reception for news on when the elevators would be operational again, it was repeatedly told the closed elevator would Be operation next day. We were there for 6 days and the 3rd elevator never worked and finally found a staff member, who admitted the renovation would take the better part of 2 years. In general terms, this is a tourist hotel and definitely not a business hotel. We called 5 times for laundry pickup only to be told to deliver it to the reception ourselves. The WiFi in the rooms worked sporadically at best and prevented the working from the room. When checking out and requesting 4 hrs late check out, it was rejected unless we paid extra despite being told there was plenty of open availability for the specific day. Difficult to see where the 4 star rating comes from.

Very centrally located. Walking distance of max 1.5 to 2 km to all major attractions of Sydney. Very well kept hotel with spacious rooms. The only downside is that the parking of your car was chargeable. But that’s I believe is with every hotel in CBD area . Lot of eateries & Convenience stores were just a 5 min walk away. Tram stations were just below the hotel.

Excellent location to explore the bustling Sydney CBD with tonnes of shopping and attractions at your doorstep. Major problem if you are driving, be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for parking. Public transport options are fantastic. Staff are polite but lack attentiveness and mostly cold. None stood out in particular for me. The pool had no one to facilitate towel changing and locker key distribution. Spa is non-existent / non-functional.

Stort og pænt værelse. Super god rengøring og fantastisk beliggenhed. En god pool og gode faciliteter i det hele taget. Grunden til at de ikke får 5 stjerner, er det kaos, som hersker hver dag ved elevatorerne. Check in process was overly long. Rooms were not available until 2 hrs after 3pm check in. Location is great and the art deco style of hotel is beautiful. But the rooms were dusty and the fold out couch bed stained. Despite complaints it was still not appropriately cleaned.

This property was very centrally located. The staff, especially, Phurba, were incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast on site is well worth it. There was a very vast spread with fresh pastries, egg station, fresh juice, and lots of options. The breakfast was our kids most memorable part of the property. Unfortunately, the bathroom in the rooms were dated. Also the room could have been cleaner with stains on the sheets and couch.

Room was dirty and not cleaned well, dirty teaspoons in drawer, old chip or food behind coffee machine, dust in drawers, I complained to front desk and simply said will get house keeping to look at it. Later that day new teaspoons, still mouldy sticky stuff in drawers and the old bit of food still behind coffee machine.

Great location in central Sydney. We had a spacious corner room on the 13th floor, which was quiet with plenty of light. We did note some cleaning issues with mould in the tea cabinet drawers and bathroom shelves, but otherwise the room was clean, comfortable and well presented.

First of all, I love this hotel, especially the location of the hotel is very convenient for everyone. And all the staff members are very nice and professional, love them. But I didn't enjoy the view from my room. It felt have nothing outside the window. All I could see was the roofs of nearby small buildings, and taller ones blocked my view of the outside, like streets or anything interesting. I had no idea which appliance was making noise with whole night kept me awake.

Check in was terrible resulting in having to attend a formal meeting in casual attire and then missing a second meeting. Other than that, the hotel is nicer than the pictures online. Rooms are large and comfortable. Room service was quick and efficient. Overall a mixed experience. Not interested in a standard "we apologise and will do better next time response".

This could have been an easy top rated review but for issues with their reception staff. I'm sure they have to deal with difficult customers all the time but other hotels seem to get it right more than swiss tried. We discovered a charge had been imposed after we had been told it would not be. Of course by then we had left Sydney and moved on to our next destination And when referring to individual guests, the word "missus" should never be used as a substitute for "Wife". This came across as disrespectful and passive aggressive in the manner it was used

I can't say the staff were all super helpful. We arrived just after our check in time and the room wasn't ready, which wouldn't have been a huge issue if we hadn't planned on walking around the City before our event. They wouldn't initially take our luggage and we were made to wait. When we approached them again after 45mins they took our luggage and we could go out and wander. Shame they hadn't done that earlier. Otherwise the facilities and breakfast were good.

When getting my facial, my therapist started vaping. Wildly unprofessional. The staff member who checked us in was rude and said multiple times “put money on your card” while he was the one in error. Have never been spoken down to so poorly. All other staff were great. But the two definitely ruined the holidays we were there for. The rest of the staff are the only reason I am giving more than one star.

This property located right near tram stop QVB Queen victoria building - that is a huge shopping area. This tram goes to circular quay and down to darking harbour, paddys markets so central. Perfect location to access shopping, dining and public transport options. Comfortable beds. In room tv with casting from device never worked, wifi not great. A compendium in room instead of trying to download from QR code would have been better for info about the hotel (understand this is likely to decrease printing etc but QR codes didn’t work easily and no info about what time breakfast etc was or phone numbers within the hotel like housekeeping). Pool was quite cold even on a hot 30deg day, ? Not heated. Breakfast buffet was quite bland and basic. Egg station with pre-cooked then re-heated poached eggs were cold and well over cooked. Ok if you like hard eggs I guess. Need these to be made to order if there is an egg station.Coffee station only, barista coffees extra charge.

The hotel location is super convenient annd this is the reason I stayed in this hotel again. Excellent Customer service but the bathroom looks dated! Tried the breakfast and it was not as good as another five star hotel. I would say the breakfast quality is 3 stars.

The staff were excellent, breakfast seating was a little chaotic, coffee very average. Cocktails were excellent. Room was comfortable, there was some inconsiderate guest who decide it was okay to smoke in their room, which made it very uncomfortable for everyone else, as the smoke filtered through everyone’s rooms and hallway.

Beautiful hotel at a reasonable price, located in downtown Sydney. Went with my three tweens and husband for vacation and it was wonderful. Worth paying extra for breakfast which is a bargain for a plethora of food to choose like chef baking omelette. Cool roof top pool, next to a mall and convenient to walk or take the Tram.
