Vibe Hotel North Sydney

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the CBD. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice amenities within walking distance. Pool was cold though.

Parking is rubbish. Into a cave and round and round SIX tight levels into the ground. VERY limited headroom I. Carpark.

Nice hotel, clean, good sized rooms. Only downside was the elevators - 2 of 3 were not functioning so wait times were too long (would make more sense to service one at a time).

Very comfortable beds, the rooms were spotless, coffee machine in the room was a win. Good gym and pool. Good proximity to shops and cafes.

Hotel und Lage sind super gut und empfehlenswert. Allerdings war das housekeeping nicht gut und hat echt nur das nötigste gemacht, was bei nem Aufenthalt von einer ganzen Woche wirklich traurig ist. Am Pool nur 5 Liegen bei einem so großen Hotel ist verbesserungsfähig. Sicher kein Badeurlaubshotel, aber etwas mehr Liegen anzuschaffen wäre wirklich sinnvoll und gastfreundlich. Betten sind hervorragend, fitnessraum naja, Lüftung im Bad läuft ununterbrochen. Supermarkt und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe

Parking was a bit confusing and so was the cost of parking. Signs says $15 per day for public hotel charges 45. Besides that great experience

The bed was really comfortable. The shower had great pressure. I liked the pool but there was a foul smell up there. Like a grease trap. SBS didn’t work on the TV. Internet was poor. Most of the staff were good but one guy said that he’d bring a sewing kit to my room and didn’t. He also didn’t ring me to tell me that he didn’t have one.

Was a convenient location for getting into the city and for working in and around North Sydney. Only downside was their lifts werent working so you had to carry your bags up the stairs one level to get to reception. They did have a lift from reception to rooms working. Otherwise rooms were comfortable, clean and easy. Would definitely stay again.

The location was excellent. Located right across the street from the metro and bus stop it was easy to get anywhere we needed. There were a lot of good shops and food locations near by. The room itself was quite noisy with music from the restaurant right above us audible until around 11 each night (we were on the main floor). The conference rooms made me feel a bit awkward walking past a business meeting every time I went to my room. The water in the room was not adequately hot and it took a very long time to heat up both for hand washing / shaving and shower. We found a lot of dust on the AC vents and under the bed which was a little unsettling. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

The cleaning is poor. Carpet is stained. Not vacuumed each day, if at all in the week we stayed. Broken chair and completely broken table. The tv kept turning itself off. Been staying here 5 years and it is sad to see decline.

Unfortunately, this room has black mould in the silicone of the shower, loud whirring of the extractor fan (which doesn’t turn off) and has green and red power lights at the door, which is directly across from the bed. Not the best night’s sleep.

Nice room with modern bathroom, but shower screen had a curly hair on it and needed a clean, sheet had a rip in it, blanket had a blood/sauce stain on it and when housekeeping cleaned the room between nights they removed rubbish from room but left crumbs all over the desk instead of wiping it down

Good size rooms in a new build hotel. A bit of a rabbit Warren if you’re in the higher numbered rooms on each floor, but the rooms are big for a Sydney hotel. The staff is without exception rude. No pleasantries, no-one smiles, they were literally rude when I asked for my room key to be rescanned as it had stopped working. This isn’t unusual, it happens all the time - I don’t expect to have to wait 5 minutes for it to be done (no one at the desk, when they eventually came out of the office took forever to do it.) A dirty sheet left on the floor in the corner of the room was still there for the entirety of my stay, despite me alerting the front desk, and my room being made up by housekeeping after the first night.

Overall a fine place to stay. Unfortunately there was a big cockroach running around in the bed. Not sure I'd stay again, just for that reason.

Nice modern property. Plenty of transport and dining options, although hard to find anywhere open on a Sunday morning. Room quiet and tidy except for black mould in bathroom and filthy bathroom door.

The hotel was lovely and clean, they cleaned our room every day and provided us with a bottle of wine as part of our booking. They also stored our luggage on the last day which made it enjoyable. Overall a great experience

Great location, close to public transport and has parking. Friendly staff. Large, quiet room with comfortable bed. Bathroom could have been cleaner but overall a great hotel and I would stay again.

Amenities are great and location is close to metro, buses and easy to catch an uber. The room was spacious with a modern look and feel. However the room was extremely dusty! We had 2 rooms and both rooms were equally as dusty. Dust all over the headboard, the window edges, and the edges are black so it is very easy to see. Our mini bar/ kitchen area has a used sponge so that was kind of gross.

Very courteous check in gentleman. Lovely spacious room. Huge bed and very modern spacious bathroom with walk in shower. Very clean.

I was in room 1029 it was so noisy! From 6am to 10.30pm my door was constantly rattling and shaking it was so noisy and not relaxing.

Booked a city view room got a view of the office building next door maybe that’s what they meant

The staff were friendly and the facilities good. The towels were rather thin and worn. My biggest issue is that in the early hours of the morning, we were woken and kept awake by drilling and vibration, presumably from deep underground in the adjacent Metro. This went on for some hours. My wife and I luckily both have noise cancelling ear buds, so we had to try to sleep wearing them and listening to soft music.the desk clerk said they often aren’t advised of such work (this may be true, but a waning might be useful.). Being told we should have called the desk at the time (3am) wasn’t really realistic either.but perhaps a warning would help

Pros: Great size room and well located near transport and dining and shops. Cons: Most TV channels did not work in my room and neither did the chrome cast.

Great gym and pool, comfortable suite and everything in great condition and a quiet location. The free wifi was the only disappointment. Very slow.

The air conditioner didn’t work properly and shut off automatically after every 3 hour block, making it very difficult to sleep on a hot night.

The hotel is well appointed, clean and friendly. Our main complaint was a lack of ventilation in the room. It was either freezing or very humid and warm. The lighting is for looks and mood but there should be better lighting in the bathroom.

On Day 2 of my stay, I noticed that the bed was not made, and there was no coffee replenishment, with only garbage removal completed although a sign to clean the room was posted on the door. On Day 3, I specifically requested full service to be carried out. Unfortunately, I had to follow up later in the day as there were no housekeeping carts in the area around 3:30 PM. On Day 4 was particularly concerning. Despite having a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, a staff member opened my room at 8:30 AM without knocking. Housekeeping services at this hotel is poor. I would definitely not recommend. I reached out to the manager via email and they never responded.

The staff were amazing. The person on the front desk was so welcoming and accommodating. He was truly very professional.

I visited Vibe Hotel North Sydney for a 2 days 1 night stay from 1st March to 2nd March. Being a VIP member of Hotels.com, I am eligible for an early check in and late check out. Upon reaching the hotel, we were told that the system is down and we have to return at 3pm. We dropped off our bags and saw people checking in. We decide to call the hotel to check in on what's happening and to our surprise, they told us that we can actually check in. At 12.30pm, we went to check in and was given an access card but since the system is down, we can't access our room without the help of someone from reception to open our doors for us. The room was decent but there were missing items from the so called pantry and we had to tell housekeeping to replenish it for us so that we won't be charged for not consuming them. Each time we request for something, they will take a long time to get to us and we have to go to reception to ask which is very inconvenient. The system was down throughout our entire stay and we didn't have the flexibility to go in and out of our rooms as there are times where the receptionist is busy. Being my first time in Sydney, it was a very unpleasant experience for me and I would never go back to a hotel which did not provide us with a fully ready room but a room which was half done.

They charge $60 for a sofa ‘bed’. This is NOT a bed and is NOT suitable to be slept on. There is no mattress for the sheets to be tucked into, no mattress protector, it is hard and you can feel the divets from the chair. We had to call reception to request a pillow. My son ended up having to sleep at friends house. We requested the duty manager to come up to our room to discuss. I said I wasn’t happy to pay for the sofa, he said he will get housekeeping to take away the sheets and asked if my 16 year old son will be sleeping in the bed with my husband and I. He was extremely rude, unhelpful and condescending. Although he was disgraceful, the day manager was very professional, helpful and understanding and she did end up refunding us for the sofa ‘bed’, however we were extremely unhappy having to be separated during a family holiday. Do NOT stay here if you have children, it does not accomodate more than 2 people in a room. As well as no mattress protector for the sofa ‘bed’, no pillows had protectors on them either. The dirty linen shute was left open and overflowing with dirty linen in the halls at 7pm at night. The hotel states that they have a restaurant, however this restaurant is run by an external party and is closed over the Xmas / New Year period. There is no room service and no bar. The pool is also extremely small with only 8 sun lounges so everyone was having to sit on the ground. There is also no umbrellas and the towels had not been filled up.

I called prior to the day to make sure we had twin beds instead of king, as i was staying with my teenage son. In that call they said tge systems were down, but they would take note. When we arrived i spoke reception again and they said it should be done but if not call reception and they would send someone up. The beds werent split, and we called reception and they said they would send someone up to fix...but that never happened. When we came back to hotel later it wasn't done and it was bedtime, so we just shared a bed. Not cool!! Also, gym was locked on Friday afternoon /evening, before the 10.30pm close time. Nice hotel, and we enjoyed out stay, but disappointing service .

The staff here are wonderful and the rooms are well-appointed, modern and clean. Parking was insanely cheap at just $15 for the night, though it is several storeys underground with low clearance height (1.9m or so, wouldn't fit a Nissan Patrol). Easy walk to train station and there's lots of eateries, shops and pubs all close by. We were surprised, however, to find that not much was open on Sunday other than Woolworths Metro (less than 200m from front reception). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay at Vibe Hotel North Sydney again.

Great location, a few minutes walk to the train and plenty shops close by. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and service was great.

We feel like regulars here as it’s our ‘go to’ hotel for a weekend in Sydney. And now the metro connects the hotel to Barangaroo or Martin place from Victoria station - right opposite the hotel - it’s even better

location was excellent. A few minutes walk to Victoria Cross and North Sydney Stations. Plenty of food choices around vicinity of hotel and Woolies Metro. Northpoint Tower Eat Street food outlets just a step out of the entrance to the hotel.

We stay here quite regularly. It’s partly because the price is really competitive- but it’s mainly because the staff are always fantastic and the rooms excellent. Add to that the new Metro station (Victoria Cross) whisking you to Barangaroo or Martin Place in 10mins from immediately over the road ……what’s not to like!

Great location easy to get to sights of Sydney but a little less busy.

The staff was professional and helpful. The location was SAFE, Clean and accessible to the Metro station.

The property is close to the railway station,no car required. Many restaurants and cafes close by.

The Vibe hotel is clean, modern and the staff are very friendly. The beds are comfortable and I've always enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is very close to the metro, walking distance to Greenwood plaza and many other eateries. North Sydney station is a couple of blocks away. Parking directly beneath the building is very convenient.

Best stay for public transportation. Plenty food courts. I would recommend this hotel.

My review was for the Hyatt about the airconditioning that I just sent previously. Mistakenly thought it was the Hyatt which we enjoy as the picture of that came up as I was doing the review. Vibe great location but first room not clean in bathroom and study desk was sticky. Made up for it. One staff member unfriendly. No restaurants during our stay at the hotel

Overall, property was great and meet our needs. Limited dinning options as many closed on the weekend and other options while in walking distance mainly fast food. Would stay again knowing would have to arrange and travel away from North Sydney and either up to Crows Nest or into the city for better dinning experiences in the evening.

Convenient for what I needed. Clean and comfortable. Doesn't have any food or cafe or bar area . Depends on the food court downstairs which would be great but isn't open on weekends.

The hotel is actually only a bedroom. There are no other facilities for dining or having a drink and limited facilities nearby. The area around is quite dead after work hours. I cancelled after one night but was unable to obtain a refuced from Expedia although the hotel agreed but said I would have to contact Expedia which I was unable to do.

Had an issue with my check in as they couldn't find my name, only inhouse dining was a curry place. Restaurants next door were average.

There was nothing open for breakfast today (Sunday) which was a little disappointing but the property was excellent. Shops in the hotel but nothing open.

We really enjoyed our stay at the North Sydney Vibe. Loved the classy style of the furniture, bed was very comfy and the outdoor pool was a great bonus. The only thing that disappointed us was there wasn’t a breakfast dining option when there is so limited breakfast options around on the weekend in the area and the bathroom fan and ventilation in our room was terrible.
