Very pleasant room on 9th flt with expansive views of the harbour and eastern suburbs. Has fantastic extras such as basic cooking facilities, crockery and cutlery and a sink. Bathroom looks recently renovated. All in such a great location in Potts Point.

This is a good place to stay if you want to be close to everything. The property was relatively quiet, housekeeping will clean if you don’t put up the “do not disturb” sign, bus stop right in front, near a Woolworth’s and a 7 minute walk to Kings Cross train station. Access to a legit gym which has weights and squat racks. The front desk people were very nice and accommodating. The only thing is I felt the room looked a bit worn compared to the pictures. Otherwise it’s great and has all the needed amenities.

Was disappointed that the property was listed as having breakfast, but in fact it was only room service that the attendant said he was happy to do but advised us to go over the road. Also the parking was full and we were sent up the road with no idea of the cost.

The staff on reception are a credit to the hotel. I was so happy to be given a map, details of public transport and restaurant info all on paper. During my trip I was tired of being directed to an app or to scan a QR code. The receptionists took time to ask about my day and enjoyment. The hotel is about 10 minutes steady walk from Kings Cross train station and there is a bus stop literally at the front door. It's a pleasant walk down to the Botanic Gardens which leads onto the Opera House and Circular Quay, I was lucky enough to be allocated a Harbour Bridge view room which was amazing. The apartment had ample crockery and cutlery. I only really used it for breakfast so the kettle, toaster and hotplate were all I needed. There is a laundry on every floor for use of the guests. The decor is probably becoming a bit dated, but the service. cleanliness location and views more than make up for this

This property does not have a restaurant or gym on site. There is a grocery store, conveniently located across the street that we found very nice. There are several restaurants in easy walking distance, but we had a hard time finding food we like.

The location was excellent. We did have trouble finding as there is another building nearby called the Macleay. So we found it confusing. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our only complaint about our room was that the bed spread had a huge stain on. It looked like it might’ve been a coffee stain so it should’ve come out if it had been washed. Or if they couldn’t get the stain out, it should’ve been replaced. Besides that our room was clean.

Stayed a week here to be near hospitalised family; easy walking to many places, loads of dining options, bus outside the door. Potts Point is much more 'friendly' these days. Room had great comfortable bed, decent desk, good wifi, was cleaned to spotless every day. Fantastic view of Bridge and Opera House, and loved opening windows for fresh air. Staff were really helpful and friendly. My new "go to" for Sydney stays.

3 night stay over NYE 24/25- staff excellent. Only complaint is slightly noisy through door but no outside noise which was great. Bed comfortable, kitchenette just right for small meal prep and bathroom clean and functional.

It is all about the view. My 9th floor room had a phenomenal view of the harbour, bridge, and opera house. The staff was very helpful and friendly, overall very clean. My room had a mini fridge and micro with basic utensils and dishware. The hotel itself and the rooms are very dated and could use a refresh or jus some basic maintenance updates.

I didn't really like the room. There was no heating, no lock on door and no safe. The view was great but for the price I just didn't really like it. It was also very noisy all night with banging from the lift or the tumble tryer behind my room. Wouldn't stay again.

Room 601 is very noisy, next to the lift which makes a clunking sound every time it clgoes up or down! Make sure you request a room right away from the lifts. Room small but ok, nice bathroom, hard bed.

Beautiful view. Older style urban hotel design with actually keys to open the doors. Nice clean rooms and comfortable bedding with enough towels and a bonus to have washcloths. However, there was no bolt lock on the room door which made me nervous. Also there was only electrical outlets ( no usb usb c plugs) so don’t forget your international wall adapter. That made it a bit inconvenient for my multiple devices. Otherwise, a good location for a long but delightful walk to the harbor.

There is no safe in the room or the hotel, money and valuables are exposed. The windows are thin so its noisy and the ac has no thermostat only on or off. Definitely not worth the price.

I travel often and I don't believe I have ever come across such a wonderful staff. Everyone for the people at the front desk to the service staff were lovely people. They really made me want to come back for another stay. The rooms were clean and well serviced. The area around was very nice with many restaurants and coffee shops, and they to were filled with some of the nicest people i have encounter while traveling. I would strongly recommend staying here.

For those who enjoy walking, the hotel is only 30mins (2km) from Circular Quay. Macleay Hotel will be my new go to property when visiting Sydney. Highly recommended.

Receptionist on check in was not at all friendly or welcoming. Noise from above unit was unbearable. Sounded like an elephant was thumping around until the early hours. Very disappointing, as I really needed to have a good night sleep, which I did not. Male receptionist on checkout very friendly (think his been there a long time). Unit and property overall was very good, but this for me let it down.

Great location. I love Potts Point, great walking area. The hotel is dated, there’s construction behind the hotel. It’s noisy during the work day. The manager took prompt steps to help me with a few issues. Overall good value.

The advertised room picture bore no resemblence to what we got. Our window (patio) opened on to a shared patio, also overlooked by other buildings, meaning that we had no privacy unless the curtains were closed. At one point we left our key in our room. Reception handed us a spare key with no verification of who we were.

Staff were very friendly & helpful & the kitchenette was quite useful for making our own breakfast. Plenty of coffee & dining options within easy walk. Highly recommended.

Vi hade en bokning för 3 nätter på Macleay. När det sedan visade sig att vi kunde stanna 2 nätter längre hade vi tur att kunna boka ett annat rum på samma hotell. Supersmidigt att bara kunna flytta väskorna, och det nya rummet låg dessutom på plan 8 med utsikt över hamnen. Toppen! Trevlig personal som verkligen försökte hjälpa oss med en grej vi bad om, och bra läge - både att gå till botaniska trädgården och shoppingkvarteren, men även bra närhet till Kings Cross och många tunnelbanor.

徒歩30分ほどで綺麗な大きい公園を抜けながらオペラハウスまで行けますし、公共交通機関を使えば観光スポットはかなり周れます。キングスクロス周辺は想像以上に治安がよく、夜もある程度人通りもあり、安心して夜ご飯なども食べに出かけられます。この立地で、広さも十分なホテルで、清潔感もあって1泊1.6万円でした。良いホテルだと思います。

The choice of hot porridge with a luxuriously rich mix of stewed fruit from the breakfast menu was such a delight during my winter stay. I'm not sure what local kitchen this is ordered from but keep it coming. Delicious! Room had the most glorious uninterrupted views across Sydney Harbour however in general the decor and bathroom needs updating which would literally grow the spaces 1000 percent. Also, this goes for every hotel/motel style accommodation where I've stayed . . . .. and that is hooks, hooks and more clothing hooks and/or places to hang towels, clothing etc.. in the bathroom or elsewhere. A folding luggage rack wouldn't go astray either, even if it is something that can be requested during or prior to a stay. This property is in a fun, village-like location and the staff were lovely and super helpful but it's the little extras that would take the experience to another level.

Breakfast price's, so went elsewhere for breakfast. Internet and warmth in room was adequate. Location is 30 minutes walk from city. Quiet streets, plenty of shop's nearby. Pool was small, but no mention of it,nor rooftop grill. Maybe not operating during winters.

Lovely staff. Easy and reasonably priced parking - small carpark though, so not suitable for a larger vehicle. Decent sized room and kitchenette. Great location with plenty of dining options nearby. Comfortable bed porticot provided for our toddler.
