The room we stayed in was huge (room 330) however if there is a noisy function taking place then you will hear the noise from it although it is supposed to finish no later than 11pm. Best to get a room much further away from the function area if possible. Bed was great as was check in and check out - very simple and quick. Be warned though that onsite parking is hugely expensive!

Very friendly staff, overall great condition of the property. It was quite cold on Sydney during our stay and the staff arranged a heater immediately upon request. Enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi quite a bit. Had a problem with the locker keys, but the staff reacted immediately and provided us with a spare key. Highly recommend this hotel as the area is beautiful and there are a lot of nice dining options in the vicinity.

We recently stayed in a Double Double room at Ovolo Woolloomooloo and had a mixed experience. The room itself is that’s lounging on the daybed or using the dining table. The bathroom was a great size with a very cool design, but the lighting left much to be desired. It’s definitely not where you’d want to be doing your makeup, and in fact, the general lighting in the room could use an upgrade or more fixtures overall. On the plus side, there is a full-length mirror, which is surprisingly rare in many hotels and very much appreciated. The beds and pillows, however, were not particularly comfortable, which was a little disappointing. The view from our room was nice, and I loved the shutters and door that allowed fresh air in, but being on the road end of the building was less ideal. If you stay, I’d recommend requesting a room further down the building for a more pleasant outlook. As a smaller hotel, room service ends at 10pm. Unfortunately, we came back after an event to find no food available. While Uber Eats filled the gap, it would be great if Ovolo offered even a limited late-night menu. The staff were consistently polite and made both check-in and check-out smooth and easy. Breakfast had a solid variety of hot and cold foods, pastries, and the option to order extras directly, which was a nice touch. My biggest frustration of the stay was the valet parking. This hotel is architectuarally beautiful. We were there in June and as a result of the open stairways to the harbor it was very cold all the time in the restaurant, lobby, and hallway. The free guest laundry was amazing. I may be one of the only people that does laundry on vacation but it made me so happy to have it available and having it for free was even better. The pool and hot tub were warm and clean. The service was good.

Disappointing on a few fronts: had to change room as the first had a bad leak from the shower so although inconvenient was good to leave the musty/mouldy smell. The jacuzzi in the pool didn’t work, had to miss breakfast one morning after running out of time after waiting more than 30 minutes after ordering (only one other table in cafe so it wasn’t busy). Had a mix up on our dry cleaning and lift O/O one day, had to use the fire stairs to get out - no signs to assist/advise. Overall very average and wouldn’t return to this one.

This is NOT a five star hotel. Stayed in both their highest end room, Ultraroo and loft. The furniture is so stained that I would not sit on it. The rugs are also stained in the floor, head, dust, bunnies, and trash that I wouldn’t walk on it barefoot. There was a used fork on the counter, and the counter and desk were sticky. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and kind. Breakfast was good, but never changed. This place is overpriced for the accommodations. Furniture and rugs need updating and the cleaning crew needs retraining.

Love the architecture of the building and location. However, the rooms are now very tired and it does not feel looked after. For example: shower curtain not big enough, floods to rooms. Wrong toilet seat on toilet, stains on bed valance, lampshade falling off, bathroom in first room not cleaned (had previous guests stuff on bath, etc. Reception team friendly and welcoming.

Building was very cool and unique. Location is great but there were NO food options nearby after ten pm on a Sat night. Hotel restaurant closed at 945 and wouldnt even serve us a drink on arrival. Breakfast was generous for the cost but slow and a bit discombobulated with service. No mimosas before 10am which is a bit of a downer on holiday. Bed was very comfortable but bathroom lighting was terrible. Ac didn’t work and the fridge was leaving. Mini bar apparently used to be complimentary but is now very overpriced. Luckily there is a liquor store just across the street. Overall loved the property quirkiness and design, loved the staff, but was lacking in terms of being called a 5*.

Hotel is in a great area. Plenty of restaurants and walking distance to everything. Our room was adjacent to the road and was extremely noisy. The nearby construction only added to this. Road noise from every car, motorcycle, and could even hear groups of people on the sidewalk with clarity. Room was nicely appointed but had some wear. There were a couple of spots where the carpet was ripped and fraying. The shower was great size but the head was leaking which limited the water pressure. The handheld in the shower was almost useless as there was no pressure and some of the nozzles were clogged. Everything was clean, and the staff were extremely helpful with every request we had. Overall I would stay here again, but hope to be in a room further off the road.

We had a very pleasant stay at Ovolo Woolloomooloo and would happily give it a 5-star rating. The food was delicious, with a great assortment at breakfast. The staff were genuinely accommodating — even arranging a burger for us outside of normal hours, which was much appreciated. Our room was excellent: modern, very comfortable, and still cozy. The hotel was beautiful, but the common areas were open to the outside and cold. Lovely room, but the water pressure in the shower was very low. No free upgrade was offered. I was told one free bottle of wine per night with my VIP status. But I was given one cheap bottle of wine the first night and that was it - the wine was of such poor quality we did not ask for more. The staff was friendly and professional.

Have stayed at ovolo a few times now. First room I was allocated to the air-conditioner was not working and on a hot 30° day I waited to unpack whilst I waited for the air-conditioner to start working, I ended up having to ring reception and they were very quick to move me to the wharf side, which was in my opinion of the better side anyway, and had a brand-new air-conditioning system. I will note though that the air-conditioner appears to be on a timer of some sort and continuously would turn off at all hours, I would only be aware of this because the room would always start heating up. I remember the bar used to be quite a popular place to go back in the day but while I visited it Dead and no atmosphere. There are many other restaurants and pubs/bars around though in walking distance. The first night parking cost me $90 valet as I was coming from Canberra and not too familiar with the area I felt that was the best option, but on the second evening I managed to get a car park untimed right out the front. I loved the little one bedroom two story loft. The downstairs lounge room had everything I needed for comfort for a busy few days of work. I ordered in a few times and the food was all spectacular. I never got to see the pool or much else as I was just too busy. I will definitely stay again though.

The customer service at this hotel was amazing!!! We had issues with our rental car breaking down and they went above and beyond with trying to assist us. We had even checked out and they still continued to help us and were extremely communicative, hospitable, and friendly. The room had a gorgeous view, was very spacious and decorated in a trendy/modern way. The location was about a 20 minute walk to the Sydney Opera House and Botanical Gardens. The onsite restaurants were decorated beautifully and were very welcoming. I give this property a 10 plus out of 10! It was a great find:)

Poor service for a 5-star hotel. I asked for two bottles of water at 2 p.m., and after requesting three times, I finally received them at 9 p.m. Room service is also very poor, they don’t clean the room, they just make the bed. Overall, great location and a friendly vibe!!

Amazing customer service, would like to especially mention Margot who checked us in and made my stay everything I was hoping it would be and more. Definitely made it a memorable occasion. The hotel itself is in a very nice and quiet location and the candy buffet and arcade games in the lobby are a plus.

Bed was very comfortable but bathroom lighting was terrible. Ac didn’t work and the fridge was leaving. Mini bar apparently used to be complimentary but is now very overpriced. We recently stayed in a Double Double room at Ovolo Woolloomooloo and had a mixed experience. The room itself is that’s lounging on the daybed or using the dining table. The bathroom was a great size with a very cool design, but the lighting left much to be desired. It’s definitely not where you’d want to be doing your makeup, and in fact, the general lighting in the room could use an upgrade or more fixtures overall. On the plus side, there is a full-length mirror, which is surprisingly rare in many hotels and very much appreciated. The beds and pillows, however, were not particularly comfortable, which was a little disappointing. The view from our room was nice, and I loved the shutters and door that allowed fresh air in, but being on the road end of the building was less ideal. If you stay, I’d recommend requesting a room further down the building for a more pleasant outlook. As a smaller hotel, room service ends at 10pm. Unfortunately, we came back after an event to find no food available. While Uber Eats filled the gap, it would be great if Ovolo offered even a limited late-night menu. The staff were consistently polite and made both check-in and check-out smooth and easy. what an incredible stay we got upgraded to a double room. The staff looked after myself and my son even spoilt him with a big cup so he could fill up his cup with lollies. He also left his iPad behind and they looked after it for him would definitely recommend this hotel swimming. A pool was fantastic the gym facilities and the spa as well. Beautiful room is great views and staff.
what an incredible stay we got upgraded to a double room. The staff looked after myself and my son even spoilt him with a big cup so he could fill up his cup with lollies. He also left his iPad behind and they looked after it for him would definitely recommend this hotel swimming. A pool was fantastic the gym facilities and the spa as well. Beautiful room is great views and staff.
