The hotel is in a super location, close to everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was very big with a superb view. The parking situation isn't ideal, you have to drive through Utrecht 's narrow streets to get there. Driving in Utrecht is a nightmare in general. Watch out for the cyclists they're in their thousands and everywhere. All in all, a very nice hotel.

We arrived and were told we hadn't paid and had to pay for the room on arrival. After checking later in realised that we had paid so had been charged twice. This did eventually get sorted out but did take about 5 days. At the property the lift was often not working which was an issue for someone in the third floor with mobility issues. It is generally a nice hotel and other staff were helpful in sorting out issues after the initial check-in. Overall 3 star due to the fact that I haven't had any issues in other hotels of a similar standard that I've stayed in.

Hotel was prima in het centrum van Utrecht. Wel een beetje moeilijk te vinden. Voor de lift, ingang van de etages is een pasje nodig. De kamer zelf was prima maar de waterkoker was lek wat best gevaarlijk was. Verder was de parkeergarage in een andere straat maar dat krijg je pas te horen als je wilt inchecken en je de auto voor de deur hebt geparkeerd met de alarmlichten aan omdat je daar niet mag staan. Eenmaal aangekomen op de parkeerlokatie moet je een code intikken en de deuren met heel veel kracht open duwen. Hier betaal je 31 euro voor. Parkeerplek zelf was overigens prima.

The staff was a high point in an otherwise mediocre stay. The room with a view on the 3rd floor was cramped and dark with a minuscule bathroom. No common area or breakfast available. Parking was about .3 blocks away. You could pull up to front door of the hotel but there was no proper sidewalk to unload luggage, just a busy bike lane that was dangerous as bikes whizzed around the corner toward you. The elevator broke down on our checkout morning leaving us to negotiate 4 flights of stairs with luggage. If you are arriving by train not car and have minimal baggage and don’t mind a barebones experience but want central location, this hotel would work for you, otherwise keep looking.

The hotel is in a good location, and the price was reasonable. However, on arrival, i was told the lift didn't work (not a big deal), the room was half the size advertised (certainly not 25sq m, more like 10 to 12), and the bathroom smelt of drains. Only staying one night so didnt kick up a fuss, but i wouldn't return.

It was a CATASTROPHE. first of all we wanted to book another NH but got this one by mistake, nevermind. At the entrance they told us there is no breakfast.. and that the elevator is not working. We lived on the third floor. We tried to ask hey could you call a specialist on call as it's usually normal to have a company responsible for urgent situations but they said that someone came and said they can't fix it?? 😅😅😅

Quick trip with a Dutch friend to Utrecht. Hotel is in a great location near all of the bars/restaurants but still peaceful. It's a beautiful old building but has been modernised so that not much of the 'old' is evident. Rooms are very comfortable. Only drawback is the reception area is really small and gets very crowded at check in/check out times and there is nowhere to sit if you want to get any work done. There are two restaurants in the same building but independent from the hotel. Would stay there again.

Fantastisk beliggenhed. Hotellet er dog temmelig slidt og trænger til en renovering. Vi var helt igennem uheldige med vores værelse, hvor vi dagligt manglede håndklæde, toiletpapir, kaffe etc. Flere "defekter" ledte til, at vi faktisk fik et nyt værelse de sidste par dage. Personalet var gennemgående meget søde, men det var som om, de ikke havde tilstrækkelige muligheder for at afhjælpe problemerne. Rengøringen gik stærkt! Vær opmærksom på at hotellets egen parkering er 50 % dyrere end hvad de faktisk oplyser.

Op zich een prima hotel. Alleen was er bijzonder slecht gepoetst. Toen we de kamer kregen lag er veel haar op de vloer van de badkamer en was ook de wasbak nog vies. Jammer dat het hotel geen ontbijt serveert.

Estive por 4 noites no hotel e não recomendo. A internet é lenta, tão lenta que vários sites informam que não há internet. A única vantagem é a localização. Ótima. Fora isso o quarto é pequeno (a mala de bordo, do menor tamanho, só pode ser aberta em cima da cama, que não tem colcha) e só fingiram uma limpeza depois que liguei para a recepção e perguntei o quê eu teria que fazer para que limpassem o quarto no dia seguinte. Uma vez em 4 dias e me arrependi. Nem sequer lavaram ou trocaram os copos. Sujos de suco de laranja estavam e sujos ficaram. Às 4pm do dia em que pedi limpeza para o dia seguinte disseram que mandariam pelo menos toalhas limpas. Nada. Ninguém veio. Ninguém deu qualquer satisfação. A única presteza do hotel foi pedir que eu pagasse as taxas municipais no check-in. Fiquei no quarto 212 que por ser interno, apesar de todo marrom!, é silencioso quanto aos barulhos vindos de fora. Mas as paredes são tão finas que eu ouvia o ronco do hóspede do quarto vizinho. O funcionário que fez meu check-in foi muito gentil, já o que fez o check-out foi bastante desagradável.

Location of the hotel was fantastic. The room was ok, but can use some more cleaning, especially in the bathroom. There was black mold growing in the shower and the air vent was basically plugged up.

My room had a terrible smell of sewage all during my stay. I had to buy room deodorizer, which didn't work; then toilet sanitizer and odor control. Finally I bought bleach to pour down the sink and shower drains every day, which did work, but I had to do it everyday, twice a day. Location is fantastic, hotel is good, staff are good; but sanitation needs to be addressed.

Excellent location. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. My only complaint is cleanliness. I don’t think my bathroom was cleaned. There was a bit of mold in the shower and dust in areas.

The room size was great, very spacious. However there was no air conditioning, so at night the room was boiling. You couldn’t leave the window open due to the noise outside. The service was ok, but on a number of occasions, the receptionist was not at the desk, so you had to hang around and wait. Not sure if we will return.

This was such a beautiful stay. We were so lucky to be given an upgrade by the staff and were surprised by a gorgeous upstairs room overlooking the square outside. I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the old city and hence great value for money, I would stay again. The down side, the room needs refurbishing, the shower head was not attached properly and the TV didn’t work, these took 2 days to rectify. The AC didn’t cool properly and was not fixed, this wouldn’t have been a problem but the windows do not open and it was oppressively hot in the room. Receptionists and staff very friendly and nice, I would return to this hotel if only for the price and location.

Enjoyed our stay at the NH Central hotel. The room was on the small side but perfectly adequate. The hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the railway station and is close to Utrecht’s historic streets and canals. There are numerous restaurants, bars and cafes. The hotel does not provide breakfast but I would recommend either Cupp or Anne and Max which are a few minutes walk away. Would recommend Utrecht for a short stay about 3 days is ideal.

1 night stay in November. Easy walk to old town, lots of restaurants close by. Only complaint would be the noise level. Hotel construction in the day and the bar underneath at night (till quiet late). Perhaps that's why there is complimentary ear plugs?

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait car très central, donc cela permet de se promener à pied dans le coeur de la ville. Par contre, l'hôtel est désuet et mal entretenu (exemple : porte-savon mal fixé, qui pend dans la douche). On dirait qu'aucune rénovation n'a été faite depuis 30 ans, et très peu d'entretien intérieur. Par contre, il y a un échafaudage extérieur en ce moment (janvier 2025) pour la rénovation de la façade/toit, ce qui obstrue la vue sur l'extérieur, et les travaux se font de 9 h à 17 h (on nous a averties que cela pouvait être bruyant, mais comme on est parties à 8 h, je n'ai pas entendu de bruit liés aux travaux). Il y a un bar juste en bas de l'hôtel et, comme les fenêtres de l'hôtel n'offrent aucune insonorisation, c'est très bruyant la nuit dans la chambre (on entend les clients du bar crier et rire). On entend aussi les nombreux autobus comme s'ils passaient directement dans la chambre. Bref, jamais au grand jamais je ne retournais dans cette établissement. Il n'est pas du tout à la hauteur de la bannière NH, au contraire : il lui fait honte.

The layout (hallways, doors, lobby) is a bit strange, but not a big deal in my opinion, what is a big deal is the noise from downstairs, they didn't take care of this issue, thin glass on windows, not sealed, etc. There is a restaurant (not sure what business) nearby, and the employees were making a lot of noise, we struggled until 2 am, I get it, they are just working but I would assume that the hotel would take care of these types of issues with thicker glass on windows or soundproof, two tough nights.

This was such a beautiful stay. We were so lucky to be given an upgrade by the staff and were surprised by a gorgeous upstairs room overlooking the square outside. I would absolutely stay here again.

We arrived and were told we hadn't paid and had to pay for the room on arrival. After checking later in realised that we had paid so had been charged twice. This did eventually get sorted out but did take about 5 days. At the property the lift was often not working which was an issue for someone in the third floor with mobility issues. It is generally a nice hotel and other staff were helpful in sorting out issues after the initial check-in. Overall 3 star due to the fact that I haven't had any issues in other hotels of a similar standard that I've stayed in.

This is the second time I was staying in this pleasant little hotel. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. This time, we were especially pleased that the hotel is pet friendly as we brought our little Jackrussell with us. Also, the staff’s situation awareness in fixing us a late check-out was remarkable. The fact that they don’t serve breakfast didn’t bother us as there are great bakeries and hipsters cafes nearby.

I had a great time, location is fantastic , short (just 15 min) walk from the train station and right in the middle of the old town. Nice specious rooms, clean bathroom, great staff, a lot of food options in the area. i highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at the NH Central hotel. The room was on the small side but perfectly adequate. The hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the railway station and is close to Utrecht’s historic streets and canals. There are numerous restaurants, bars and cafes. The hotel does not provide breakfast but I would recommend either Cupp or Anne and Max which are a few minutes walk away. Would recommend Utrecht for a short stay about 3 days is ideal.

The staff was a high point in an otherwise mediocre stay. The room with a view on the 3rd floor was cramped and dark with a minuscule bathroom. No common area or breakfast available. Parking was about .3 blocks away. You could pull up to front door of the hotel but there was no proper sidewalk to unload luggage, just a busy bike lane that was dangerous as bikes whizzed around the corner toward you. The elevator broke down on our checkout morning leaving us to negotiate 4 flights of stairs with luggage. If you are arriving by train not car and have minimal baggage and don’t mind a barebones experience but want central location, this hotel would work for you, otherwise keep looking.

Op zich een prima hotel. Alleen was er bijzonder slecht gepoetst. Toen we de kamer kregen lag er veel haar op de vloer van de badkamer en was ook de wasbak nog vies. Jammer dat het hotel geen ontbijt serveert.

I stayed in the 'cheap and no-so-cheerful' single rooms for a business trip. I don't mind that rooms are small and basic or extremely drab in decor for this kind of trip; I just need a comfortable bed and sensible sleeping temperature. Unfortunately that's exactly what was lacking. The bed was extremely firm (read 'hard') and the room horribly hot and stuffy. The aircon didn't work, and even though some kind of air was blown into the room it's on a timer and turns off after about an hour of it's own accord - meaning I woke up every hour or so due to the stuffiness and heat. I opened both windows fully, but even this couldn't reduce the heat of the room and you are then treated to the Musicial Clock chiming full tunes every half and hour through the night. It's a shame as the location is fantastic and it could have been my regular overnight location, but being able to sleep is paramount.
