Accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Nice to have a kitchen however there were multiple dining options within walking. Check in/out was easy and they offered luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures.

Overall, a pleasant experience. It is a convenient location and seamless check-in/out! The price for a king room with a full mini kitchen was extremely reasonable and something I think is a rare find. There are a few things worth noting that lost some stars. The AC unit in our room did not work properly and it was very loud, but at least that drowned out the downtown noise of sirens and music. The room felt very warm even with the thermostat off. A window open on the second night was better. Secondly, the entrance to the little underground parking lot is very tight. We’re lucky our car has cameras or else I’d be very nervous to enter / exit the area.

Great spot, nice property. The only issue i had is around parking. I purchased on-site parking at the time of booking. When i arrived i was told there was no access to the parking due to construction taking place. It would have been helpful to have that information when i was booking. With no parking available, i was forced to choose between walking several blocks for parking, or, parking illegally on the street. Had i known, i would have chosen a different property. Nice hotel, though, with a great location. Improve communication and i may visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Staff was available during the day, they were all extremely helpful and friendly. Lockers are available to store luggage. They have both small and large lockers for travellers. The area around the hotel is great for restaurants and bars. Do yourself a favour and check out Sunset Beach, Hook, and Breka Bakery. You are in a city so you will hear city noises, like sirens and the occasional loud person outside. If you want a quieter stay, request a room on the Burnaby Street side. We did not hear any interior hotel noise. Downloading the Sonder app and filling out our information before our stay made check-in easy. We would happily stay here again.

Really nice apartment in an AMAZING area but our floors were freaking STICKY and when we swept the floors just in case upon arrival, we ended up with a big clump of dust and hairs so the apartment was poorly cleaned before our arrival. Communication via app was great. $25/day parking is ridiculous - just park on the street, free 10pm-9am. Quiet aparthotel located very closely to English Bay Beach/Sunset Beach, dining options, and shopping.

During my one-week stay, I sometimes had trouble sleeping because of noise during the night. I stayed with my child, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for families. In fact, there were a few issues—bugs appeared at times and the door didn’t always close properly—but nothing major occurred. I’m always grateful for the prompt responses from the staff! Although most communications were via chat, I received replies very quickly, which made me feel reassured.

The location of the hotel was great and parking was convenient (if a little tight). The actual bed was nice and we enjoyed the kitchen and layout- however, we traveled as a party of 4 adults and sleeping was pretty tough for multiple reasons. We were on the second floor facing the alley and were kept up until about 2am by loud music/DJ we believe coming from a bar nearby. We probably should have known when we saw ear plugs on the bed. More importantly, I’m 5’7 and my feet dangled off the edge of the sofa bed— instead of a normal hotel sofa bed with a mattress that unfolds, the back of the sofa pushes back and another piece pulls out so it’s 3 distinct different cushions. Each cushion was a different height and an inch gap between them with a metal rod. If you can sleep through noise okay/sleep late and are only staying in the queen bed or have small kids on the sofa bed, this is a nice place. But 3 or 4 adults will not be having a good time on that sofa bed.

What we liked: quiet, comfortable and very clean suite, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and cozy living room, pots/pans/stove were in good shape, it was nice to have a separate living room, easy walking distance to drug store and grocery stores, short walk to the water, easy access to Granville Island and Stanley Park. Room for improvement: kitchen was missing a few key items such as a cutting board, oven mitts, teapot (but we didn't notify housekeeping, maybe they would have supplied these things if we did). We would ask for a room facing the street next time, as we were on a lower level facing the alley, which was noisy with emptying of garbage containers at times (again, pretty minor issue but could be irritating to light sleepers). Overall, we enjoyed our 3-night stay as the suite was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Stay was fairly nice and clean but unit was not fully air conditioned. It said unit had air conditioning but it only had a window unit in the bedroom that didn’t come close to cool the whole unit! I didn’t realize till that last day of 3 day stay that some of the units did have air in the main room. If I had realized earlier I would have asked to switch rooms! I was very disappointed that I paid extra for 4 guests and was not comfortable at any time during the day and it was very uncomfortable to sleep. Honestly very supersized Marriott has attached their name to this property with not all units being fully air conditioned!

Good spot right in downtown so it’s very walkable with a lot to explore. The staff were very helpful and nice, they were happy to help. Plus it’s 24/7 help even if nobody is in the front desk. I got the 1 bed room and it was pretty spacious I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was king sized and very comfortable. The bathroom was small but I’m not too worried about that as it’s just a place to handle your business and freshen up. Nice living room with Roku which is great and a nice balcony! I recommend this place!

The unit was very, very spacious. Had a balcony and great lighting. The living room and kitchen was great for hosting guests (we invited friends over one night for wine and games). I loved how well stocked the kitchen was (glassware, dishware, pots, pans, coffee machine). There were cleaning supplies like soap and sponges as well. What's also really convenient is that your phone (via an app) can function as your room key - just open the app and tap your door. You don't need to worry about accidentally forgetting or losing a key card. The area is tucked away and quiet, but it's just a block away from Davies St, the main street going through the vibrant and hip gayborhood. Will definitely come back to the Sunset (Sonder) again!!

The location was perfect for exploring Vancouver good bus and water taxi service. Staying in the city provided all services within walking distance. Information prior to stay was prompt, helpful & reassuring. Siobhan from Kerry provided a warm welcome, and lots of useful practical information. All staff were helpful and hospitable.

Great stay, refurbished apartment building done in a modern style. You could see the age of the building, but it was redone in a beautiful way. All amenities worked as intended and the room was bright and comfortable. The highlight of the stay was the front desk team, Siobhan & Shenice made a huge impression on our family and were so naturally warm and helpful. 5/5 for service!

The digital check-in process did not work. When Hotmail identified that email was accesed from a different location/computer they blocked the account. We couldnt unblock till return home. Every thime we returned to the property, we found someone waiting because they could not get in. There was never a person available to solve problems!
The digital check-in process did not work. When Hotmail identified that email was accesed from a different location/computer they blocked the account. We couldnt unblock till return home. Every thime we returned to the property, we found someone waiting because they could not get in. There was never a person available to solve problems!

The apartment itself was great- nice and roomy. The kitchen has the basics, but not fully equipped. What we found very frustrating was that everything is on the app, I mean everything! You can’t get real help from anyone. I made the mistake of not doing the check in prior to arriving so once we got here it was extremely painful as I couldn’t get it to work.

The stay started badly. The Sonder is a 'self serve' hotel with NO staff on the front desk and the entire check-in process is done on-line, or with an App. We were not informed of this fact and were locked out of the hotel until another guest let us in. We were unable to check-in because there was nobody at the front desk and it was by fortuitous chance that someone came out of the back office and helped us with the check-in process. After a laborious registration with their app and check in, supervised by that hotel person, we were able to check in, but a six digit pin, selected by them, to access the hotel and room is arduous. On the bright side, the guest luggage lockers worked well.

Our stay at Sonder was just perfect. It was just a block away from Davie street, which has every dining experience possible. The hotel room was clean and the bed was a literal cloud. The little kitchen was convenient and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We landed a little early so we went to go put our luggage in the 24 hr storage lockers, but I had to change my shoes first. The front desk staff saw me trying to do that in the lobby and let us put our stuff in the room and check in earlierthan we were meant to. As we were checking out and the larger storage lockers were full, another front desk staff let us keep our luggage in an office while we walked around until our flight. I can’t even explain how pleasant they made our trip! We will definitely be back to Sonder and I highly recommend it!

The property was conveniently located downtown. Accessible by foot to dining, drugstore and groceries. 5 mins walk to Sunset Beach area to access pathway along the shore. It takes you directly to Stanley Park. Property is well kept. Maintenance was being done on elevators during our stay but they were on top of their communications.

This apartment is located in a lovely leafy neighbourhood while also being in striking distance of downtown. We particularly enjoyed walking around the Sunset Beach area and right through to Stanley Park. There's a great little Thai around the corner and Sonder also provided some quality tips for local dining. While it did seem a little older than the photos showed, it was nonetheless a comfortable, safe and convenient place to stay.

The location of the hotel was great and parking was convenient (if a little tight). The actual bed was nice and we enjoyed the kitchen and layout- however, we traveled as a party of 4 adults and sleeping was pretty tough for multiple reasons. We were on the second floor facing the alley and were kept up until about 2am by loud music/DJ we believe coming from a bar nearby. We probably should have known when we saw ear plugs on the bed. More importantly, I’m 5’7 and my feet dangled off the edge of the sofa bed— instead of a normal hotel sofa bed with a mattress that unfolds, the back of the sofa pushes back and another piece pulls out so it’s 3 distinct different cushions. Each cushion was a different height and an inch gap between them with a metal rod. If you can sleep through noise okay/sleep late and are only staying in the queen bed or have small kids on the sofa bed, this is a nice place. But 3 or 4 adults will not be having a good time on that sofa bed.

We had a short but amazing experience staying at Sonders! It surely helped making our time in Vancouver even greater. The staff is amazing and the app is super easy to access all the information we needed to have a smooth check in. The location is also a plus as it’s super close to the beach and have great restaurants around!
