Elevators were broken. Extremely poor service at the Bruins.

Hot tub is lukewarm, staff is disingenuous about where there is parking, and there is a really cool looking bar/restaurant on the top floor that is inexplicably closed, but location is great and if you go in expecting a discount hotel you’ll be very impressed. Easy to get the sense that it was a much nicer hotel ten or twenty years ago.

We could not find the pool/workout area labeling which floor at the front or halls would be great. Over all very nice

The beds were full-size instead of queen size. They made us pay for parking and then had no parking available and they told us to just go park at a paid parking lot. The sink did not drain and neither did the bathtub. The pool was cold and the Jacuzzi was out of service. The men at the very front were the only helpful ones.

When the construction ends it will be amazing…that’s the only downside. The hotel is clean and light, great location, friendly staff , gym and indoor pool are pretty close to what you hope for and better than most.

This was the first time my family and I stayed at your hotel.It was a surprise for my husband for Father's Day.Upon arriving, staff was very friendly and great on explaining things to me.I like that there was lemon water set up in the bustling lobby for the guests.Our view on the 14th floor was great and I got the water view I requested and a scenic mountain view which was a bonus!I did notice however that part of the window frame was broken and just hung when you opened the window which was daunting. They layout for the hotel was a little confusing and the pool was quite a distance from our room.(in another tower on the 5th floor.)The facility was nice and had a wonderful view of downtown and the Sleeping Lady.We were happy with the temperature of the pool but while sitting in the(outdated)jacuzzi with the jets on, the water kept flying in my face so I had to basically squat so I could stay above the water. Also, a small(block)portion on the edge came loose/off when we tried getting a grip to sit up higher. During the night I couldn't sleep well as there was a constant ticking sound which ended up coming from within the walls by the window, the bed wasn't comfortable, the air conditioner was very loud and the constant traffic sounds of honking, road ragers tearing it up the strip and thudding of music throughout the night, left no peace for sleeping comfortably or at all.Upon checking out, I got hit with an unexpected charge of $15.00 for parking that I didn't know about.

No restaurant, no room service.

Horrible room. The first room had a mouse run under the door right in front of me. We had to demand to get moved and they moved us across the hall! Like that mouse couldn’t run 10 more feet into our new room. We had to sleep with a towel under the door. Both rooms were extremely old and run down. They could have moved us to a different floor but I got the feeling they kept the nicer rooms for their Hilton members only. The hot tub was drained and broken. If we weren’t so exhausted we would have left and stayed at a motel. We were just too tired after traveling all day. Oh and it was our anniversary. Was shocked at how bad the stay was.

The staff was outstanding. The lobby was under renovation and that just has to happen. Parking was sketchy and awkward. We shouldn't have had to pay for it in that condition especially when the public can just pull in free.

There were lipstick marks on the glasses in the room, streaks of poop in the toilet bowl, and the food I ordered was stinking like it had gone bad. Horrible place. NEVER staying here again

Great hotel. Just needs a deep clean. Too much old grimm in the rooms.

The room was not clean, and it seemed that the sheets on one of the beds had not been changed. There was makeup on the pillowcase, and I even found toenails on the floor, which was very unpleasant. Another issue, although not under their control, was the train horn that could be heard throughout the night. On a positive note, the breakfast was good, though I felt it was overpriced.

The hotel was a huge disappointment. The room had old, smelly carpet that gave me allergies, and their “solution” was to spray perfume on it. The bathroom was worn out, with a dirty tub and toilet seat I wouldn’t use. Construction noise inside and outside made it worse. Parking is misleading — it’s $25 (not $15), a block away, and no valet service. Definitely not worth the stay.

It was a nice place to stay. The only thing I found wrong was that there was men’s facial hair in our bathroom sink when we went to our room.

Line of 6 people attempting to check in and only one representative. Get to room, within seconds someone else uses their key and comes in our room… Within the next 15 minutes we find old food on the floor. We leave for the day and come back after driving to and from Seward, get up to the 5th floor and we’re locked out our room. Go to shower and notice hair on the floor in the bathroom. Goes to bed, wakes up in the morning, leaves for the day, comes back to see room service didn’t take the trash, didn’t make the beds, didn’t do anything BUT take our dirty towels and not replace them… not to mention no valet parking but wait $25 a night to park your own car across the street. Horrible experience… when having staff text “how was your stay” a response would be nice.

Bathroom was not clean in shower, hair. Room was dark, outlet light in bathroom. Toilet sounded like a freight train.

Hotel room was an upgrade due to it being our wedding day. We got a beautiful view of the water, Alaska railroad, and many mountains. Great room aside from needing a microwave and mini fridge. We had nowhere to reheat or refrigerate food which was unfortunate as we had leftover wedding food we had to toss out! Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, incredibly quick elevators! Overall a good stay.

The room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. The bathroom was the tiniest I’ve ever seen with no counter space and barely room to turn around in. The elevator went up and down all night long and was ridiculously loud. We will NEVER stay here again

Comfortable, lots of restaurants nearby. Staff was nice. I wish I would have asked for a room with a view because it has a side with an awesome view. Restaurant was good. Breakfast was too expensive. Train station was close so it was convenient. Close to excursion pick up.

I have never in any hotel stayed in such a tiny room. I was blown away at not only the size of the room but the condition. This hotel is very very old and it shows.

The windows were very thin so you could hear the street noise and trains all night long.

One of the most dated hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It seems that they have done nothing to keep the rooms up-to-date.

Rooms need updating. The train is loud so I’d recommend installing better windows or window coverings.

The AC in the room did not work

Staff rushed; room no super clean and old; just not kept up for standards of hilton and price point. Would not recommed to friends.

Inconsiderate, poor staff and service, lying staff

I was here for three weeks. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I really enjoyed interacting with them! Everyone from the front desk, security, dining staff and housekeeping was amazing! High-quality! Will stay again.

Very good location, but the hotel is nothing special. The staff rude.

I didn't know that Hilton does not provide shuttle service. When I called, Hilton guy asked briefl hold of my call. I responded it's ok. But I could not get him back in 7min so I had to take taxy because of cold environment. When I arrived hotel I met him.and he said that. Call has been terminated. So I complained that I could not hold my phone because of long waiting time instead of brifoment. But I understood his condition. He stayed on front desk alone and received several calls and I had to wait even for check-in. Hilton does not have enough man power. Hotel ad saying warm hospitality and 24 hr service, current status is terrible. And also when I entered room, room was stinky. I opened window fo a while to refresh air in the room Also room key system and elevators are old not modern. And also the room does not equip bath, only shower. I dissatisfied Hilton. I will choose other mextime

The Staff was Outstanding!!

Staff was great and when above and beyond in helping meet my needs.

Everything was as nice as usual except check in was very slow because they had only one person working the front desk. Other than that everything was great.

Nice hotel in a walkable downtown location convenient to the Alaska Railway. Breakfast and dinner were both terrific. Room was comfortable and clean. Some construction at entry but not disturbing.

Room was small but adequate. Comfortable bedding and great view. We spotted Denali from our window! The train depot is a short walk away. I wouldn’t walk it alone as we had to pass by an encampment of tents and people who were obviously high on something. The hotel is in a nice area though.

Downtown Anchorage is small and the hotel is at walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums and other nice places.

This was a perfect location for our stay in anchorage. Within walking distance to the Alaskan railroad depot to catch our train into Seward the next morning. Also within walking distance to Pablo’s bicycle rentals which we did and biked the shoreline trail and had a fabulous dinner afterwards at the brewery on 49th. Amazing food! And an amazing time while in anchorage. We saw 9 moose while biking the trail!

Hotel is in a great location. Looks to be in the process of updating the lobby area. Rooms were comfortable and clean but not particularly spacious or modern. WiFi worked fine. Did not try the breakfast buffet but looked good. Opted for the Snow City Cafe which is an easy walk. Very friendly staff.

Convenient to the Alaska Railroad station. In a walkable part of town. Many good restaurants available in the area.

Hotel is in a good location..plenty of dining, site seeing and drink within easy walking distance

If you like being woken up all night by loud (train?) horns, idling buses, and by loud patrons at the bar(s) across the street then this is the place for you. There is a $25 fee for parking next to the homeless camps across the street as well. As a bonus my daughter and I saw a man urinating on a house next to the parking lot. Cross your fingers your car doesn’t get broken into and hide any valuables.

Insanely overpriced for a dated, run down hotel. Tub wouldn’t drain properly. Food is awful. Rust in the bathroom.

The food from the restaurant was excellent. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The beds were not comfortable.

Melissa G was an incredible resource. 5 stars would have been applied but property continues to undergo large scale renovation. Available food service of high quality but likely above average pricing. Looking forward to a return visit.

The Hilton was less than expected. The lobby was under construction. They hand out ear plugs where you check in. The fridge in our room was not plugged in and had to be moved to find an outlet. The whole time we were in our room, all you could hear was the Elevator going up and down. Hence the ear plugs I guess. I was afraid to try the restaurant knowing how much they charge for anything. They needed another option for food, here's an idea, how about a complimentary breakfast for the price you pay. They did have some free rock hard cookies in the lobby. I'm assuming they were free.As a parting gift and on the way out during check out, they hat you with an extra $ 25.00 parking fee, instead of free parking somewhere, or at least including it in the price of the stay. Really lame on the way out. But I did get a bottle of water on the way out. Yay ! Their parking lot was kind lame too, it gave you an un easy feeling with all the homeless wandering about. Not goin back there. Not worth the $$$.

I needed accommodation near the railroad and I’m pleased I chose the Hilton. The staff, especially the men who help with storing luggage, were friendly and kind. My room was spacious and clean, something I was grateful for as I’d heard mixed reviews. I ate in Bruin’s bar and the food was very good and reasonable prices. I’d stay here again if I were visiting Anchorage

Excelent service at the cafe especially Anna. airport shuttle would be desired. Check-in was easy and quick (Mallissa). For the most part a very good experience. Thank You

Room was nice and seemed to be updated. Food options were terrible for breakfast or room service. Very expensive for low quality food option. Better to go out for breakfast
