Too much ‘perfume’. Eyes watered and stuffy head within 20 minutes. Better outside lighting would be helpful for evening arrivals.

This property is undergoing bathroom remodeling. So only the bathrooms are being worked on. Desk service was not great due to a plexiglas panel with no speaker and the clerk did not have good English. For some reason they are using gym towels instead of regular bath towels. Breakfast was just coffee and muffins, there was a new bathtub in the crate sitting in the breakfast room. We went to Hardee's

We only came in for the night. Got here pretty late but check in was smooth and easy. Room was clean and fine. Bathrooms have been update very nicely! Didnt need breakfast so not sure if it was offered etc! We were in late and out early.

The hotel and the room were clean, the staff were nice. My only issue was the elevator did not work and I had to carry my bags up the stairs. Traveling alone, I felt safe during my stay and would stay here again if necessary.

Inside, the friendly receptionist efficiently checked me in and provided all necessary information. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of order, forcing me to climb two flights of stairs, but the hallways were decent given the building's age. The room met my expectations, with a slightly musty carpet, patched walls, and a new, efficient AC unit. The renovated bathroom stood out with a lovely vanity and pristine cleanliness. The comfortable bed featured clean sheets, and although I skipped breakfast based on prior reviews, my overall experience was satisfactory. I would certainly consider staying here again.

Had to stop overnight during a 14 hour drive traveling back from Louisiana. Hotel was really dated but the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was completely redone and new but room looked like it was from the 70's. A/C worked and it was good enough for us to resume our drive the next morning.

Staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean. Only negative was of the 3 lamps only 1 worked. Also need to sell water in the vending machine. Plenty of parking and Jim and Nicks BBQ is a nice walk away.

Stayed for one night. Everything went smoothly. The room was clean as well as what I saw of the rest of the property. No issues during our stay. I would stay again.

The room was not clean. It had a mildew smell. I actually saw mold on the bed skirt of the bed, it looked disgusting. I didn’t sleep in the bed at all. I slept in the chair. The cover on the bed look old and had stains. The pillow had yellow stains. I didn’t feel comfortable at all. The hall floors was nasty and sticky. They are not clean.

This would have been perfect had the room not had a strange smell. The sheets were clean and the bathroom was imaculate. Great hot water and plenty of towels. The lady at check in was one of the most professional and friendly hotel clerks I have ever met.This was an excellent value for our brief stay. Coffee available 24/7. Breakfast is fruit and muffins. (note: I am extremely picky!)

The front desk staff were very nice. The room was in disrepair: a hairdryer fan was already broken and was overheating, loose bathroom shelf, a burn mark from an iron on the carpet, worn unstable desk chair and inadequately vacuumed carpet. A 2 star hotel is not a 5 star hotel but every guest deserves a clean room with decent upkeep.

There were roaches in the room. We will not return.

The smell as soon as you walked in was awful. Our pull out sofa was broken. Switched rooms only to have dirty sheets and carpet not vacuumed.

You get what you pay for. Reviews of this property were “acceptable enough” for the price but reality was much different. ENTIRE building interior smelled of smoke and marijuana masked with Lysol air freshener. Hallways and commons areas unkept and dirty. Bedding had stains. Late night and early morning activity in the parking lot….beware…..you get what you pay for!

Its supposed to be a non smoking motel and it reeked of cigarette and weed...the furniture and walls werre was damaged. I will never stay there again.

Not a fancy hotel, but just what we needed. It was clean, a good shower and the bed was comfortable.

TV wouldn’t shut off. Slept with on all night and sound turned down. Couldn’t get temperature in room comfortable. (Sweated all night!) Toilet seat broken. Muffins, apples and granola bars was breakfast!!! Staff nice.

Just a very basic hotel. They seem to be updating the place. My biggest complaint was there was literally about 4 or 5 cars in the parking lot. As soon as night hit the room upstairs sounded like running and people moving furniture, then a bit later people were talking in the hallway about 3am the sound of something cranking and voices in the hallway again. I didn't sleep at all. Went to check out their breakfast: it consisted of a mini muffin, apple and watered down orange juice. It's basic - it's super 8 but I do expect to sleep. Have no idea what all the noise was about.

Deodorizing treatment was a bit overwhelming. The wifi was dicey. Minimal toiletries. The morning fare was scant, hardly a breakfast. The staff members were pleasant and accommodating. Nice to have a mini-fridge in the room.

This property is a good place to get a night's sleep. (It is right off of Route 65, so there is some traffic noise.) The room was clean. It is priced to be a good value. Overall, a convenient "no frills" experience.

Lady at checkin was super friendly beyond that the stay wasn’t what I was expecting. The property looks good on the outside and the hallways are tile but you step inside the room, and it’s very dated. Besides the musty smell that hits you immediately upon entry, for the tile being in the hallway, why have dated carpet in the room? Also with the comfy lounge chair, an ottoman is needed. Finally, hotels these days have a Keurig in the room. This property had a dated single bag coffee maker. Get up with the times please.

The hotel as a whole wasn't the greatest but it was clean. The problems that I had was I booked 2 rooms threw Hotels.com. Got there and the gentleman who didn't speak very good English said I only had one room booked. Told me I had to contact Hotels.com. It was 11 pm and we had drove 4 hours. First, he ran my card and said it was declined. I asked him to run again and it went threw. Then I said can I just get another room? It is too late to call Hotels.com. Sure, at a higher rate. I paid it and both of the rooms were non smoking, yet one of the rooms smelled horrible of smoke. We get up, check out and the next day I go to look on my account to check my balance and the Clerk charged me three times. So the first charge DID go threw and so I called the next morning and spoke with a nice lady who said, just wait and it may come off on Monday. I will make a note and put it on the Managers door and he will call you. It's Monday and it is still there. Now I will have to file a dispute with my bank because nobody has called me back to rectify the situation. Poor management and shady check in. I won't be back. Beware!

The place was ok, but the heater did not work and it was freezing. It was difficult to find the desk staff during check in/out of when we were looking for someone for blankets.

The ownership is very pushy and inconsiderate. I have several children and we need about 15min to gather prepare and go. The ownership is literally knocking at the door every minute late as if we didn't just pay 100 USD for a night. WHO TRYS TO STAY IN A HOTEL ROOM THEY DIDN'T PAY FOR WITH 6 NOISY KIDS? The last straw was when the old Indian lady from India followed me to the bathroom while the nice mature white lady tried to let me use a service bathroom. She explained to me that the ownership wouldn't allow me to use the bathroom I just left out of. I'M LIKE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC PLEASE RETIRE. THE OWNERSHIP IS THE PROBLEM NOT THE STAFF.

The room was satisfactory but I arrived from out of state an hour and half earlier for chk in and was charged $20 fee to chk in an hour early.

The website states cribs are available but when we asked, we were told rudely that they didn’t have any. The staff seemed very uninterested in being courteous. The “continental breakfast” was just muffins left on the counter. Our room was clean at a glance, but the carpet turned our socks brown and the room smelled like urine. Sometimes it was very noticeable and other times just a faint smell.

Everyone was nice. Very accommodating on unplanned late arrival!!

Overall, the hotel was good for the price… But the neighborhood was a little sketchy.

I stay here overnight regularly when I'm in Birmingham for a performance downtown. The staff is friendly, the location is just off the interstate and there are places to grab a meal around - you may have to go to the next exit or two if you want something specific. The breakfast is very minimal so just expect that. In my view the stay is a good value without extras.

Great stay, comfortable, clean, safe. No free breakfast, no breakfast at all. Check in took longer than usual because their computers weren’t working as they should.

My experience was okay. Fairly comfortable. The hotel said it had breakfast, it did not. It had grocery store mini muffins, small over ripe apples and a coffee machine.

When l reserved the room last week , l chose the super 8 by Wyndham in homewood , Ala. The hotel ad stated that breakfast was included… Well l got up this morning and went to eat some breakfast around 7:00 Am. There was a tray with small blueberry muffins and orange juice and of course coffee .. nothing else , no cereal, no nothing …lm sure they charge more for there rooms when breakfast is included …If they list breakfast being included, they should at least try to do better than that …
