Booked for it's close proximity to the Hollywood Bowl, hot tub & pool. Nice staff, easy check in, great safe location. Just a couple blocks to good coffee and fun late night food. The room was clean and the bedding was nice. Microwave off the lobby / our room didn't have one. But if we needed it that would have worked fine for late night popcorn. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

The staff was great and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the key cards for the room. They did not work a few times, and one of us had to stay in the room so the other person could get in. The staff tried to fix this situation, but it was still an issue. We also overheard other guests complaining about the key card situation. Otherwise, we had a really nice stay.

I chose this hotel because it was close enough to DTLA, it offered free parking & had a hot tub, I always look for a place with a hot tub as my husband & I always like to use the hot tubs when staying at a hotel, but after we checked in we say hotel employees put cones around the hot tub as it was out of service, which was super dissapointing as we would of chose a nicer place to stay without a hot tub

This place was great to stay at for our visit to Universal Studios (7-10 minutes away). Lots of parking on site and free. Rooms clean and quite to sleep in. No breakfast but they did serve coffee, tea, and pop tarts! Staff was friendly and nice, no issues.

room was very clean and staff were friendly. our cold water wasn’t working in the shower and they quickly sent up maintenance to fix it. greatly appreciated with the summer heat! however the a/c units outside of our room made our beds vibrate and that made it hard to fall asleep. there is also no a/c in the hallway or elevator. the lobby is updated but the rest of the building is really outdated. lots of free parking. pool area is nice. overall for the price and close location to the rose bowl it was a nice stay for a quick trip

We were disappointed in the overall quality of the hotel. The carpets were dirty and they weren't vacuumed. I found strands of hair in the shower. The fan didn’t work in the bathroom the mirror was fogged even with warm water. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is it was close proximity to The Galleria Mall.

Room was run down. Not as nice as it looks from the lobby and website. Strange smell. Had some ants in the bathroom. A suspicious hair on the bed sheets. I bought overpriced pepto bismol from the machine in the lobby. It spit out a bottle that wasn’t sealed properly. We came back from our event, the bathtub was filled with sewer water. The whole room smelled like a sewer. We talked to the front desk and they told us there were no more rooms so we had to stay in the room we had. So, after a day of walking around LA, we were unable to bathe at all and were forced to sleep in a room that smelled like feces. The night of the incident, Joshua was very understanding and told us the management would handle it in the morning. So, in the morning, I asked to talk to management. When I was greeted by the manager in the morning, first, she was rude and not understanding at all. She had called me that day and asked for permission for the plumbers to enter the room. I gave permission. So this tells me that there was a KNOWN issue with the room we were staying in, but after the plumbers left there was no plan in place for us to move rooms. They must have seen the poop water in the room. When I talked to the manager, she said that since she had left me a message (a message I never received) that it was not her or the hotels fault. There is nothing she can or should do for us. She then said that she had messaged the night manager to give us another room, but the night manager did not see the message so its not her fault. She constantly blames others on staff without making any attempt to rectify what the HOTEL did to our room. I want my money back for the night of misery that the hotel put us through. The hotel DAMAGED our room.

GREAT SERVICE REPS !!!!!!! Clean feel , new looking bedding, seems like they care about presentation, however I saw 1 roach on the wall, during the last hour of my stay 😔. Otherwise WOULD HAVE BEEN LOVABLE STAY.

Room was dirty. Bed was dirty. Bathroom dirty. Toilet dirty and had to double flush to make stuff go down. Shower would not turn off unless really turn hard to tighten. The bathroom door would not close. Mini fridge did not work. Outside I felt unsafe with hookers and pimps hanging out in the parking lot. Not sure if they were staying there or conducting business. The room was fine. The bed was decent and it is spacious, but the issues were the room, not being completely clean. We found long black hairs in the shower and also noticed black mold in the air vents in the bathroom, which probably cost us to sneeze a lot would’ve been a good day if they did a better job cleaning and also kept the room more sanitary

Given a room with a balcony that faced a cement wall. Room had limited light and no basic accessories such as USB outlets. Closest outlet to bed was across room from bed. Coffee was instant coffee packets with an electric tea kettle. Lastly due to being berween two cement walls TV would not stay connected to services. Basically, left with no TV starring at a cement wall. I was disappointed after reading pretty good reviews.

Balcony opened to a wall. Sliding glass door could not be locked safely. It did have a chain lock but the actual lock to the glass door was missing the locking part. So we did not feel real safe or protected. Poptarts were actual packaged pop-tarts not the bakery style shown in the picture.

We were in town to visit Universal studios and this hotel was very convenient for that! The beds were pretty hard but the staff was friendly, parking was easy, it was easy to get to and was a fun place to stay!

Loved the decor in the lobby, but everything else was straight out of the 70s. The rooms were large but not enough electrical outlets to plug your phone in with. Our room was by the stairwell and we heard the door slamming all night. In addition a smoke detector must have had bad batteries because it beeped all night. The towels were the thinnest towels I’ve ever used, worn and scratchy. Overall just a hotel to sleep at, not super comfortable or relaxing.

Property is outdated, looks like it’s a new company trying to revive and make an old hotel look like a boutique. It’s good hotel for the price and 1 night stay but definitely needs a big overhaul. Decor, furniture and carpet need to be re done. They look like they’re 30 years old and so does the bathroom. Overall, not bad for the price and location.

The room was fairly clean ,the maintenance and cleaning staff were nice and friendly. The front desk staff were very dry and not friendly, check in takes over 10 minutes without a line. The place is super scary if you bring children due to it being more of an attraction, it’s run down compared to photos. The rooms and hallways are something you’d see in a horror movie and doesn’t feel safe at all. The parking is not a very secure area as well. If you want a place that looks like you’re in the 1960’s then it might be a good option. It was a cheap stay compared to the market and there advertised photos were very misleading. This is a place you go to last second when you can’t make the drive home just to lay your head somewhere.

The staff was great and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the key cards for the room. We called a couple days ago to ask about early check-in and even offered to purchase an extra night before. And the employee that answered talked us out of purchasing the night before saying early check-in would be no problem. They would do a rush clean on the room and we would be able to check in by 10 AM. When we arrived at 10 AM they said no the room is not ready, we don’t know when it will be ready and no, we cannot contact you when it’s ready. Very unprofessional for a customer that rents from you on a regular basis.

Convenient to freeway and just about 8 miles from universal studios. Parking was plentiful and easy. Room was clean, but dated, and very thin walls. There was a loud party next door till after 12:30 am. I had to call twice for security to quiet them (I had my 10 year old granddaughter with me). Room did not get made up (we stayed 2 nights), disappointed to return to that after a long day at Universal. When I mentioned at checking out, I was told I needed to request for that to be done. That would have been nice to have been informed of that when checking in. The man was helpful and happy to let us check in early for a $25 fee, but neglected to tell me of the housekeeping rule. The free breakfast was only poptarts 🙄

Not very accommodating nor happy to assist, tried to get ahold of the front desk the whole day to confirm my booking to finally reach them once I get into town than find out (my mistake) I booked for the next day.. I asked if I could just switch the booking for correct day and was told I would have to deal with it in the morning with a manager mind you it’s like midnight.. so after all that I wasn’t able to get a partial refund or anything so therefore I not be recommending this place

I initially considered giving the hotel a five-star rating due to the exceptional assistance provided by the front desk staff, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately, my overall experience was impacted by significant delays in room service, making it extremely difficult to have our rooms attended to in a timely manner. I arrived early to leave my car and checked with the desk about coming back as a late arrival since I had an event to attend. While I was at the music festival with no cell service they called at to tell me they overbooked my room and would need to put me at another hotel. I arrived at the hotel at midnight to find out I had no room there and would have to take an uber to their sister hotel in Burbank. they didn’t even offer to pay for the uber to the new hotel.

Checking in was delayed, at first it was understandable, because I came around 2:30 ish which is really early than the checking in time which is 3:00pm, I came back at 3pm, they said room is not ready yet and they’re already rushing it. Back at 3:30, I was told that room os bot ready yet, was offered a different room but I can’t coz I am with my 2 kids and husband, we reserve a 2 queen beds, We were able to check in at around 3:40 ish, and the guy in front desk didn’t even show any empathy to us, did said sorry but didn’t feel the sincerity. No power outlet on the side table. Room is pretty decent and clean though, 2 queen bed with only 2 pillows each bed. Ask for an extra pillow, we waited for 4 hours, nothing came, we have to go down to the lobby to get an extra pillow.

Check in was at 3 my room was not ready until 7 pm. The room was dirty , the air conditioner barely worked, the vent was hanging from the ceiling. They did not offer breakfast you were given coffee or hot water and a pop tart. To bring the luggage cart from your car to the entrance you had to walk it all the way to the public sidewalk to get up the ramp. Im very disgusted with my stay there

Coffee and pop tarts in the morning. But Starbucks is so close. Snacks available, but we door dash. The place is clean and remodeled but dated. Still had a great stay for what we needed. The area is perfect, staff is great and we felt safe. Price is excellent.

Very good overall stay and value. Cool oldies vibe and decor. The location was right off the freeway and great for seeing the local sites (Universal, Zoo, Griffiths Park). Ample parking spots and large enough for larger vehicles. The pool area was pretty standard, but a great way to cool off and the kids enjoyed it. Not a huge deal, but they even had coffee, tea and pop tarts in the morning (unexpected surprise!). The room was fine. Pillows and mattress were a bit soft. AC was old school dial-controlled but worked fine. Bathroom was spacious and I like the safety grab bars in the tub. The toilet flushing was oddly slow. Shower pressure good. They had charging outlets but strangely were high and far from s surface surfaces to place your devices. So bring long cables! Staff was all friendly and helped answer our questions or meet our requests. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great value for your money.

Our check in was the bare minimum they could do. They didn't tell us where to park or how to get to our room. We didn't even know where our room was. They didn't tell us there was any breakfast in the morning. They just take your money and throw you to the wolves I guess. The pictures of the breakfast are misleading and false. They are packaged pop tarts if you are lucky to get them before they are gone for the day. You might get a coffee but nothing lasts. it would be better if they offered nothing then the expectation would be gone. What they do have is presented poorly...Down a dark hallway by the closed bar. Put it in the lobby FFS!! The rooms are big and they could put bigger beds in them and still have room left over. I get that they are trying to fix the place up that's obvious. But they need to try harder.Things are just poorly presented. I've stayed in worse hotels. You get what you pay for and it did its job. The bathroom was very clean but all the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were all empty. Bonus: It was quite.

The hotel was old and dirty, AC was FULL Blast or nothing at all, no climate control feature it made us both sick, breakfast was a joke, actually no breakfast just coffee and tea. We had to reprogram the room keys everyday otherwise you’re locked out. Staff unfriendly and not very knowledgeable except one young lady. Price very reasonable but not enough to justify for the sacrifices.

I thought it would be in better condition. Needs some TLC and a cleaning. The bar and restaurant were under renovations which I didn’t know until I got there. Don’t think I’d stay again.
