When they say beverage included, that means coffee or juice from a machine in the lobby. The room was basic, but all you need for a night's stay, including very spacious with a little sofa and desk. The hotel was in a good neighborhood to where we were going, felt like a nice place. Close to many amenities, great coffee shops, lots of fast charging stations and easy access to the freeway. The room was huge, clean, quiet and very comfortable. What I wasn’t happy about is the up charge for the parking. It feels like a cheap shot to advertise one price then tell you, oh, ya, fork over 30 more bucks a night to park here, sucker… Just be transparent and HONEST, include it in the price, that way there are no surprises.

It was very different to have check-in through a screen, and not knowing for sure that staff were on site was a little odd. It was fast and convenient though, and the room was large and spacious. Water and coffee machines in the lobby were a nice touch, and it was quiet all night. There was a bit of a funny smell in the room, and it would have been much nicer if parking was included and not an extra cost.

Room was large and quiet, bed was comfortable, free beverages were readily available in the lobby, free ice was available, the location is convenient with many places to eat nearby. The surfaces of the furniture were dusty, and especially the closet shelf had not been cleaned in some weeks. Room service (such as change of towels) must be requested each day. There was a problem with the plumbing that was readily fixed. The hotel charges $15 per day to park. There is no front desk and no one in the lobby; check in and out is with a staff member via kiosk screen. People ahead of us had already been waiting 10 minutes for the kiosk screen to open in order to check in. Our wait was about 5 minutes.

From the initial arrival I had problems. My room floor was incredibly wet. Theres no way to talk to manager all there is a person on video kiosk who is very incompetent to even communicate. The people on top kept making noise through the whole night. The walls from the room above to the room I was In was incredibly thin. The whole night I kept being woken up to the sound of a bed frame creeking from the room above me. I asked to talk to a manager fir a late check out. I was denied and told I need to leave by 11 or ill be charged. After I didnt sleep the whole night and the cleaning people knocking on my door to rush me out at 9. Ill be leaving multiple reviews on multiple sources. There was also poop on the inside of the toilet seat

This hotel was perfect for one night!! The interior of this hotel seemed to be kept up pretty good over the years. Our room was IMMACULATE!! One of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever stayed in and because of this, we will be back in the near future. The front desk guy was cool, he let us know there was coffee 24/7 in the hotels entry lounge.

I think they have bed bugs. We stayed for 2 nights and my son and I woke up with red bites on our necks. We asked the employee at the reception but he said he didn’t know he worked nights and to go back and complain after 8:30 😩

The room I had was very disappointing. The AC barely worked and the room felt humid and stuffy most of the time regardless of what I set the thermostat to. The shower floor had dark stains on it and there was a baby roach in it when I first arrived. There was also a lot of rust that had accumulated around the shower base and near the bathroom door hinge. The comfort of the bed was the one plus. You check in with a virtual agent through a kiosk. A little strange, but it was quick and easy. Even the location is super convenient for me based on where I need to get when I visit LA, I can’t see myself staying here again.

Room was large and nice. The carpet had large wet spots and smelled. Might have just been the wet wool smell. Other than that the air conditioner took a long time to cool down the room. I think they should leave the air on so the room stays cooler. We were going to the Greek Theatre so that was a nice place to stay. Good coffee

Room is comfort with sofa, big desk, and it's very clean and smell well and fresh. Lobby is comfortable, although the Front Desk been Covered to Silk Grass. We check in with virtual assistant and very grateful they did reserve the room in the first floor for us.

the walls are thin. you can hear people upstairs walking, and people next door coughing. the place is clean. parking is a little tight, i have a half ton truck and i could barely fit in the parking spot, but then again that seems to be a common theme in big city parking spots. would i stay here again, yes, mainly because of the cleanliness and convenience of how close it is to universal studios.

I had a terrible experience with the hotel staff First I disclosed I got a Service dog after that the lady start to argue with me about a classification for service dog The most Terrible thing was I got a call at the room phone and the front desk lady said the housekeeper need to come in my room to check the room before my check out The first day I let the check in lady know I got reservations for other night for more expensive room and she ask an other $25 for downgrading my room This was terrible experience and against the law for service dog and moral behavior and norms

Overall the hotel was good especially for the price. Room was nice and well furnished. Everything worked and was clean. My biggest negative was that there are no staff or front desk. There is a virtual kiosk with terrible acoustics where you check in. The agents have difficult hearing and all documents are done by email. It was a frustrating process.

The positives-- The location (for what I needed to do), the price of the room, excellent vending machines in easily accessible places and my room was quite spacious. The not-so-good-- Honestly, I tried to like the digital check-in system, but it's pretty creepy. The strange, disembodied faces that float around the kiosk screen and fade in and out are just weird. The poor senior citizen woman ahead of me at check-in was NOT comfortable with the process, and I felt sorry for her. The clerk was very kind and patient, but the woman had so many questions about how this system could possibly work, what she was being charged, how she would get the things she needed, etc. I had some of the same questions including, "If the WiFi password will be sent to me by e-mail...but I can't access my e-mail until I get WiFi, how will I manage?" It turned out that no password was needed, but I had no way to know that when I was checking in. I think the worst part of this system is knowing that there is NO ONE on duty downstairs, if I have a problem or an emergency. Like the woman ahead of me at check-in, I too am a senior citizen woman traveling alone and I saw no evidence of staff or even security anywhere. That one thing alone would make me very reluctant to return.

From the moment I walked in I noticed there were no people there's a screen and I have to talk to a robot to check in. I don't like that I like a person. Secondly, if you wanted maid service, which you would expect every day in a hotel that you're paying that much for But you have to ask the robot for it every day if you want it and then they won't even tell you what time it's gonna come because they don't have the maids there they have to come from somewhere else thirdly my phone didn't work so I couldn't call down for anything because there was no place to call. There was no room Service The only good thing I found there was the hot chocolate in the lobby. and the shower..

I liked the size of the rooms and the comfortable beds. What I didn't like was you had to check in on a computer kiosk. Very strange, In all my traveling I never experience something like that. I always enjoy speaking to a human being. It makes it more welcoming and personable. They should post that on their website. I saw people freaking out that they could not find a person to talk to.

At check in time, the kiosk was out of order. There were 4 people in front of me. There was no indication of what the problem was. No emergency phone number listed anywhere. Business numbers on the cards, and on line not answering. In frustration some people left. Myself and one other person stayed. It was more than one hour before we were assisted. I like this hotel,but the have taken away, the customer service, and replaced it an inanimate object, that's as cold as ice.

The hotel was decent. It isn’t very new but it is kept relatively clean. The check in process is untraditional with no live person at a front desk. It is a virtual check in and we experienced technical difficulties while checking in and we waited about 30 minutes to check in because of this. We stayed 5 nights and we expected someone to come tidy the room at some point, or at least empty the garbage. This never happened. At check out I brought it up but apparently we were supposed to request a housekeeping visit. This was not explained to us at check in. I get that hotels are trying not to wash sheets and towels every day, but I would have expected one courtesy visiting for tidying during our stay. I should have asked about it earlier but we were busy with activities each day. The beds didn’t have fitted sheets, just a plain sheet on top of the mattress under the comforter. It was ok but for a five night stay we expected less issues. Ultimately things were fine if you are ok with a virtual check in and knowing you need to ask for housekeeping.

This hotel recently changed from on-site staff to kiosk services and the changes have been horrible so far. My recent stay resulted in taking 45 minutes to check in because of connectivity problems finally ending with the kiosk inability to produce a key card for the room.that took another 45 minutes. Not the first time with check-in issues here.

We had an overall good experience staying at The Glendale Hotel. The building is quiet and clean, and is located on a main street with bus connections as well as right near two major freeways. There were food options and a Target within close walking distance. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. You can hear a little bit of noise from the hallway when someone is speaking near your door, but it's pretty minimal (muffled) and never kept us awake at night. Staff were helpful and kind!

The property was good for a brief stay at a lower cost than other hotels in the area. We were barely going to be in the room and just wanted a descent place to sleep and it fit what we were looking for. It’s close to freeways so very convenient that way. The room had a bit of a funky smell which I think is somewhat common in older hotels but the room was otherwise clean. The coffee and water station was a nice amenity.
