Terrific check in and very friendly Lobby Staff! Our room had new carpet and vey clean! Dated bathroom.. low toilets and sink. Regulating the shower water was terrible. Breakfast bar offered very few items… powdered eggs were gross! Muffins and cereal were good. Did not try the waffles but that was a hit with others! Pool was ice cold and hot tub was not even working! Disappointing as we were looking forward to that! Tables and chairs and umbrellas were all in disarray in pool area!

Family one night stay. Pool was cold, but hot tub was nice (no bubbles tho). Breakfast was decent/okay with a variety of food items (yogurt, toast, oatmeal, cereal, make your own waffles, bacon, coffee, juice, and milk. Room was old and not updated. Morning sunlight shines through random holes in the front door. Screen was not on the track of the patio sliding door. Seemed like a really run down hotel, that could use some fresh paint and updating. A huge plus was that beds were comfortable!

The room was spacious and the mirror in the bathroom was huge. It was very quiet. There was a large spider web in the corner for days. The edges of the carpet were filthy as was the back of the door. The soap was used and the bottom of the soap dish was scummy. There was a piece of candy on the floor by the bed. We also didn’t realize there was no elevator and there were no rooms available on the first floor.

Unfortunately, this La Quinta (unlike others we use) has no elevator. We were booked into a room on the 2nd floor, but needed accessibility. The only room available was on the back side, blocked from exit. Only working ice machine was also a long walk. Not up to usual standards of the brand!

Before booking my stay at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tucson East, I called the hotel to confirm they had a hot tub. The front desk told me, that they did. Upon our arrival at 4:30om on December 3rd, we were told the hot tub had been out of order for 4 months! After a long drive, my fiancé and I were looking forward to a nice relaxing evening in the hot tub and it was a reason to stay at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tucson East. We would NOT have stayed there if we had known, as the hot tub was a priority for our stay. Having a major amenity out of order FOR 4 MONTHS is unacceptable for a Wyndham property and the front desk should have told us when I called that it was not working. Then I would have booked another property. I am disappointed in this Wyndham experience.

The cleanliness and condition of the room and bathroom were very disappointing considering the cost. Bathroom tub was rusted and painted over but chipping. Cockroaches in the bathroom. A very visible white powder was sprinkled along the edges of the room, assuming a pesticide? Didn’t feel like that was safe with my children in the room. The only really positive was the staff, including the cleaning staff were very friendly.

It was an older property, but the rooms were modern. The bed was nice. I had problems with two of the lamps not working, and the water temp wouldn't regulate in my shower. I liked that my room had a balcony.

Since my last stay here, the place is under NEW Management, the rooms are completely renovated and pleasant. The attendant who checked me in was very kind and polite. In the morning, my internet said NO CONNECTION AVAILABLE (which worked fine the night before). I went to front desk to ask if they can perhaps reboot the wifi. The RUDE and dismissing attitude I received from the older gentleman at the desk was UNACCEPTABLE. First he said there is nothing he can do. Then, he turned to another attendant and asked if she had wifi, without waiting for a reply, turned back to me and said "We have wifi. We can\'t help you. Its your computer". He suggested I contact the wifi provider and figure it out for myself. I asked if he was not going to help me, and his reply “Not that I won’t, I can’t” and ended the discussion. The attitude and customer service was not only unacceptable, it was rude and inappropriate. He made it very clear he was not going to provide any means of assistance. In the evening, the attendant that checked me in the night before was there and she told me “Yes that room sometimes has wifi issues”. She apologized and instantly she switched me to a room that worked fine!! NOT my computer, but the room was the problem. If only the RUDE assistant cared enough to do something other than blame my computer for the fault. NOT returning there until he is gone.

I rented 4 rooms total. Our room had a big gap on the door you could see outside. My mom’s was given a dirty room she had to move. My sisters tourist didn’t work had to move. Karina’s room had ants in it. She is still trying to have the manager refund her one nights stay because she rented 2 additional nights and was charged for 3 nights although I had already paid for one night with my reservation.

Comfy bed. That's most important. Property is old for sure. But not horrible. If you stay here, try to get a room off of the pool area. MUCH nicer than the room I got. The courtyard rooms have nice landscaping to look at, chairs outside of the door, and some have doorwalls. I got a room that felt like it was by the loading/unloading area. I thought the hotel was dumpier because of this. I took a walk around and the courtyard area was lovely. Wish I knew to request that. The breakfast is meh, but there is a Denny's right next door- walk to that. Denny's was stinky but better than hotel breakfast. Hotel coffee was great and available 24 hours. Staff was nice.

Overall, this hotel is a good value. 1.) The breakfast far exceeded expectations 10/10. 2.) Bed was a sinkhole and very uncomfortable. Mattress should have been replaced long before. Changed room on 2nd night which helped some. 3.) Occupant next door decided to try out his new subwoofer from 3-4 am. Lobby clerk did trace the source and stopped it; problem recurred the following night. 4.) Convenient location on main artery and walking distance to many good restaurants. Again, some problems to endure, but good for the price.

I had the worst experience with the manager by the name of Jajaune He was extremely rude when I tried to let him know about issues I had in the room like not having clean sheets which I had to go purchase and hair in the shower and sink clearly not cleaned properly. he replied thats not my problem very rudely and proceeded to answer and answer the phone making faces as he replied to customers over the phone like annoyed and not acknowledging that I was standing in front of him! When I told him I wanted my receipt he said I had to wait because he was the only one there. I asked him for his name and he refused to tell me his name so I had to get a card! I filed a complaint with corporate and I will follow this to the end because I have never dealt with such a disrespectful person that guy is on a complete power trip and should not be dealing with customers worst yet manage the place when he clearly doesn’t care! Who else would I contact if I had issues when the person in charge of resolving then refuses to do so and says it’s not his concern because he wasn’t working at that time it happened! I would always stay there for my business trips and so did my company but never again! Very disappointed in the service and treatment received. 👎 and to top it off he is the one responding to the reviews like he genuinely cares and believe me he doesn’t!

Our stay at La Quinta was absolutely unacceptable, and I am extremely frustrated with the experience we endured. From the moment we arrived, the service was unprofessional. The front desk host made rude and inappropriate comments about my family, setting the tone for what would be a miserable stay. On Sunday night, we returned to our room only to find that our key cards no longer worked. When we went to the front desk for replacements, the staff was openly gossiping about other guests, mocking them for complaining about a bug infestation in their room. They even went so far as to dismiss their concerns, laughing and saying, “they were likely on drugs.” This was beyond unprofessional and, in hindsight, deeply concerning. Monday morning, our worst fears were realized when my 14-year-old daughter woke up covered in bug bites. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety of your property. On top of that, the shower still hadn’t drained from the night before, and to make matters worse, housekeeping left behind a rubber glove on the desk. Given these conditions, we had no choice but to leave and book a room at another hotel late at night. This was not only an unexpected expense but also an extreme inconvenience to my family. I even returned to the property the next morning to take photos documenting these issues. At this point, I am asking for a refund or credit for the unacceptable conditions we had to endure.

I read all of the great reviews before I chose this hotel and did not believe any of them. I thought "oh the front desk was bored so they did all of these reviews themselves!" Boy was I wrong. This place is as comfortable as a 4Star resort for 1/3rd the price. This was a staycation. This place had overstuffed matresses that were the most comfortable I've slept on since the Hilton I stayed in in Dallas. This place had a WONDERFUL hot breakfast. The rooms were clean and overfilled with towels and toiletries. The folks at the front desk were extremely kind and EXTREMELY Fast which I loved. The choice of balconies around the pool is one I will definitely make next time. The rooms had blackout curtains which are important in the desert summers. The A/C worked great as did the TV. When you stay in a newfangled Hotel you get shared A/C and when it's 114 degrees outside your shared can sometimes be lacking. Not here I kept it below 68 and the A/C didn't even struggle. Please believe the reviews they are real. Why this only rates a Good is beyond me. This place is run like a well oiled machine it's in tip top shape and I hope this review doesn't raise the prices too much! LOLOLOLOL

We had to wait 10 minutes at the front desk while the employee walked past us twice without acknowledging us at all while she was on her cell phone with a personal call. She wasn’t friendly at all and she didn’t give us the room we reserved, so I had to go back to the front desk again to get the room changed. No apologies whatsoever. Hotel was nice. Check-in service was appalling and unprofessional.

Staff friendly, Lilyana got us quickly in checking in. Room was clean. Free breakfast was ok. Upon check out, hotel rep explained that the $100 security deposit will be refunded back to the bank card used within 7-10 days.

La Quinta Tucson East - first the positives: (1) a great, multipurpose location with restaurants, shops, etc., (2) great breakfast nook with plenty of seating and decent food , (3) the central courtyard with pool and vegetation is an oasis and family friendly. (4) beds were comfortable, (5) TV worked. Negatives - understand this is an ageing hotel that needs a bit of facelift. Still decent, but my door lock was broken so that I needed to manually push in the deadbolt to lock my door. A couple of the towels were gross, even after many washings and should have been thrown away. I hope these were exceptions.

Great place to stay in the east area of Tucson! Hotel is in the middle of a high commercial area full of dining and shopping. Staff were patient in answering questions and taking time to show where amenities were located (eg, laundry room). Appreciated that the room had a receptacle for recycling.

There is no elevator, so be certain to request a ground floor room if you have older family members with knee,hip,respiratory issues. There is only 1 flight of stairs, however, harder for people with compromised mobility, or weak lungs. Very conveniently located to Raising Cane's and Denny's (no car needed). If adventurous, and feel like crossing the 4 lanes of traffic, it is close to Mod pizza, Burger King, and Texas Roadhouse.

Enjoyed my 3 nights traveling from NM. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Only thing the hair dryer outlet wasn’t working or the hair dryer so I couldn’t fix up my hair. Lol Other than it was a pleasant stay. Continental breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to Caines and Dennys. Would definitely stay here again.

Check in was amazing. Super friendly front desk staff. The breakfast lady was very rude. Stood over by the front desk and people kept asking for items that had run out. No milk, coffee, waffle mix, eggs, coffee cups….. Cut off time of 9am, is not enough time. I was shamed for taking breakfast to my room but there was no where to sit because everyone was rushing to get breakfast before 9am cutoff. Bathtub is painted and so are countertops. Peeling paint around sink. Property was clean.

The rooms are average at best. Breakfast seemed good first night because we got up when the first started at 6. Next couple days were much different. Scrambled eggs, toast,or waffles. No potatoes no meat,yogurt, or bagels or granola bars or cereal like the first day. Ive worked in this industry and i know the cooks and employees have a limit they are willing to make just so they can take the rest home for themselves. Its sad the economy is rough right now but whether it was a bad economy or not employees just cant help themselves and they steal leaving us shorted. The place is loud and seems obnoxious at times. Also had a homless person walk into our room on the last night and the got in out bed. Funny thing was the front desk asshat actually called our room to complain thatvwe said we had 2 occupants and they thought the homless girl was with us. What a circus. Id say good if you just need to crash but i wouldn't bring children here

Very nice front desk people . Very good location. Walking distance or very short drive to many restaurants, and stores. We stayed 2 days. The first breakfast was no good. People were standing there waiting the kitchen service to bring food out and not much food choices. The next morning breakfast was excellent.

Bed very comfortable. Really fairly quiet considering we were close to the pool. Stayed 5 nights and it was ok. Although one evening someone was smoking pot and the smell was wafting all around the inside of the courtyard. Breakfast options really limited. Not even any yogurt. Instant oatmeal available but did not see a microwave to prepare it. Could have been hiding someplace.

Very Good: Staff friendliness, open for late check-in, pretty good breakfast, mostly clean, nice clean pool area, excellent linens and service. Could use some work: door mats, updating bathtub and bathroom floor, gate to enter the pool, sliding door to pool area, choices for TV channels. Overall a good experience, but a little updating would really make it a stand-out experience.
