Hyatt House Belmont Redwood Shores

Room was supposed to sleep up to 6 people but anyone sleeping on the living room foldout had to walk through a bedroom to use the bathroom. 3rd floor room with no elevators. Otherwise comfortable beds, nice shower, nice pool and quiet

I loved everything about the property except the paid parking. It is outdoors, not covered, and didn't seem to have any security. Also, no elevators!

The pool was dirty both days we were there and it wasn’t too warm. The breakfast was ok. They did provide us with plenty of towels when we asked and some extra pillows. The check in girl in the evenings was very nice. You do have to pay for parking unless you have a handicap pass. Unfortunately we did find some trash from the previous guest in our room which was a bummer

We were on the 3rd with no elevator. As a couple in our 60’s, it was very difficult to carry our luggage.

The staff was very friendly when we checked in. The property is setup like a time share. Meaning they have bbq grills for us, a basketball court, small workout gym and a pool. We had a two bedroom which was spacious and clean with a kitchen. It was everything we look for in a room for our trip.

The staff was excellent. The outside area around the bbq and fire pit was overrun with rats Not a good look. Still a nice place to stay though

I will not stay there again. There are no outlets near the bathroom sinks. We had kids playing basketball until after 11:00 at night right outside our room. There were garbage bins left out all night. It used to be a wonderful property but has gone down hill.

My only negative is the lack of security cameras on the parking are.

Great place. Easy access to hwy. Pool was nice. Not crowded May 10 weekend. Breakfast was typical. Comfortable bed. Very spacious rooms. Kitchen well stocked with silverware, knives, pans & such.

Complementary breakfast was nice, although it certainly got crowded. Hotel's in a quiet area, next to a neighborhood adjacent to a nature preserve. Staff took care of several of the requests we had, including providing a crib, changing the day when we requested a cleaning, holding a package for us. Overall cleanliness was not great though. There were 4 or 5 open bags of dirt left next to our door for some reason, which were attracting flies, which flew into our room anytime we opened the door. We asked the staff if they could remove the dirt several times until I finally moved the bags myself and put it next to a main walkway, hoping that a staff member would see it and take care of it, but then no one touched or moved the dirt for the remaining 2 days of our stay. Staff just pretended not to see it or something.

Breakfast good with scrambled eggs, pork sausage, potato wedges, waffle station, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, water and coffee. Room wasn't very clean. Cobwebs in several corners with some bugs that I needed to eradicate with a tissue. Long black hair on one of the "clean" bathroom towels. Garbage had been unemptied and was overflowing with trash under the kitchen sink. Kitchen refrigerator was very loud, had to close bedroom doors to shut out the noise. Climate control terrible. Whether I set to heat or A/C it would blow cold air, not appreciated in winter. Seating ok in dining/living room and bed very comfortable. If I were staying several nights I would have advised the staff. For short stay I tolerated the issues. If these items were addressed could be 3-star motel (units have outside access). In current condition I rate 1.5 or 2 star.

I stayed in one of the first-floor suites, and there must have been some water damage, as the shades were black at the bottom with water stains. There was a black bag right by my suite, which looked like it was there to keep water away. My shades looked like black mold. The kitchen ceiling light had dead bugs in it. A few days into my stay, I smelled something horrible coming from the kitchen. I told the staff, and all they did was clean the room and spray some deodorizer on it. I believe it was a dead rodent under the fridge or stove. I asked to move rooms which they provided to me a much better room. I had to pack up for one night and move everything over. It would have been nice for the staff to ask if I would like some help, but that was not given. I have a hard time walking, and using the cart to go across the other side of the buildings was difficult. As I went to return the cart to the hotel, a raccoon jumped out right in front of me. He hissed but ran away. I found garbage scattered all over the ground where employees would typically dispose of it in the dumpster. It was clear that the garbage had been left there and could have been easily disposed of. On my way back from dropping off the cart, the raccoon was back. The pool was nice, but unfortunately, for 4 days, the many leaves at the bottom of it were not taken care of. It looked dirty at the bottom, and on the last day I was there, it was finally cleaned.

We stayed here before and it was a bit better. This was unfortunately one of the worst stays here. My family and I travelled to SF to celebrate my bday. Unfortunately it almost turned into a disaster. One of the showers never worked and it never got repaired during our stay. The carpet was full stains and very sticky. There was no toilet paper and finally the bed sheets looked dirty. Like I said, we stayed here before due to their 2 room suites but it seems that their rooms have taken a beaten since. The staff did offer to return our parking fee as a courtesy for the shower incident. But honestly, I’d rather pay for parking fee and have a working shower and clean carpet.

I’ve stayed here before. I always clean the bathroom and tub before I use it. The bath tub was dirty and the shower curtain that would have gone in the shower was filthy. And the soap dish was broken which could have scratched one of my kids. Even more disgusting before I got a chance to do a walk through I usually get on the floor and see if I can see anything since I have a 1 year old that puts things in her mouth.There was also an old piece of chicken my daughter found and put in her mouth. I asked my husband what did you feed her? He said nothing! I was horrified!

It was nice but noisy, you can hear traffic from 101 and other guests which sucks if you’re a light sleeper so I suggest some ear plugs. Family friendly, great breakfasts, parking was easy. We enjoyed the walk around the neighborhood but in the complex there was a lot of overflowing trash which attacked raccoons. Great for an extended stay if you have kids. Beds were comfortable.

We got in late and the room was not stocked with what we needed. I’m not even sure the room was cleaned there was blood on the blanket and the room had a horrible smell of fish.

The facility Libby service is decent but rooms are old and not clean, old flooring and windows are filthy. We felt our bed had bed bugs too Couldn’t wait to checkout. I requested room cleaning and they said they do it every 3rd day which we were checking out

Hyatt House served its purpose for us as a family of five during our San Francisco visit. We booked a 2-bedroom king suite. It has plenty of room for all us. The property is near industrial district, it is in a clean, quiet neighborhood. There are some stores and restaurants within a five mile radius. However, during our stay we found that the room wasn’t clean well. There were yellow stains in the toilet bowl in both bathrooms. The pull out sofa bed was filthy. There were trash shoved in between the mattress. The sheets provided had holes and the mattress was stained. Pro: location is convenient for us, spacious, and front desk staff were pleasant. Cons: run down property, dirty room, stained mattress, yellow stained toilet.

Nice and spacious

It was lot of noise from outside and it was too much light from street lamp inside our room. It was very inconvenient to sleep with lights in to my eyes!! Noise from upper floor! There’s no noise insulation totally! You can hear every step of your neighbor!

Huge room full of space and amenities to make it feel like home. The staff member greeted me warmly as a valued guest and by the time I woke the following morning I was bragging to friends and coworkers about the excellent place to stay.

Everything was very good except Wi-Fi was very slow.

We were here for 2 nights and had bought some food to prepare in the unit based on the "fully stocked" kitchen. There was 1 small saucepan and a stockpot. No toaster. Tiny microwave. Random glasses (like 4 mugs but only 1 wine glass). Just felt like it hadn't been checked between guests. Beds were very comfortable, AC was great until it shut off in the middle of the night. We wanted to open our bedroom window, but there was no screen so didn't really feel like having people walking within a few feet of us sleeping. Quiet property, breakfast was really good.

Pros: Beautiful room and friendly, helpful staff. Dog friendly. Helped us after Extended Stay America cancelled a reservation they had promised to hold. Lovely redwood shores area. Nice for dog walking. Cons: No elevators! Request first floor if you don't want to haul your bags or pay to have them hauled upstairs . Did not like the $75 cleaning fee for having a pet. Have not paid that much at other Hyatt hotels.

Room was comfortable and quiet, but a bit sterile. I had a suite, which was really more than I needed.

Spacious rooms with multiple beds, bathrooms & tv’s

Have 2 separate bedrooms was nice for our family but the living room was small. The kitchen saves money on eating out and the morning free breakfast was actually really great. Hot food every morning, waffles, eggs breakfast meats, juice and coffee. Clean enough but carpets look pretty old to me. The biggest bummer was the cable. There is no guide that actually correlates with the right channel. But overall it’s good for the price and space it gives you for a family of 4 or 5. Pull out sofa bed is terrible too. No extra blankets or pillows in the room either but the staff if super helpful and really great.

The staff was not professional. She even forgot to return my credit card to me when I was checking in. I booked a suit with five persons total, but there was no bedding on the sofa bed and we had to get the bedding at the front desk by ourselves.

Service.. asked for wake-up call and did not receive

We called for cleaning service. They promised they are going to come. Came back at 6pm, room untouched and was informed the cleaning team left and they couldnt do anything about it. We were given an email to write to report the incidence. We sent the email and no one bothered to get back to us. Very unprofessional

Receptionist was very accommodating and nice. Didn’t hesitate to provide upgrade when I requested for a view.

Great place if you are traveling with a family and on a budget other than that there are far better choices in Burlingame. The front desk is seriously understaffed!

Our check in was great. We needed to change rooms for two reasons, one of which fr health purposes. Th GM accommodated us expeditiously. We did have an unfortunate items to come up missing and the Housekeeping Manager was unwilling to accept our complaint. We refused housekeeping for the duration of our visit. This was not good.

Not as impressed as with other Hyatt House properties. Whole experience was just okay. The sofa bed didn't have any bedding. The lobby was closed passed a certain time at night, no staff.

The hotel was great for our large family. It was better than we expected. There were so many spaces inside and out for relaxing. I wish I had brought my camping cook box. The kitchen supplies were sparce. All the employees we encountered were gracious and friendly. We would definitely stay again sometime.

Ruby at the front desk was the most hospitable worker. She is nothing but a bundle of joy and ensured that we had the most comfortable New Years stay. The property is more homey than anything, and I can assure you that whatever you need will be heard with open ears. The best way to start off the new year.

Very spacious for our family of 5; kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast. Location close to airport and just about the entire peninsula is great. close enough to downtown SF.

It’s close to highway exit and convenient.

We were visiting San Francisco and opted to stay in this area as it is reasonably priced and not too far from the city. The suite we got was a 2 bedroom including king beds with full kitchen and living. This was great for our family of 6. Ample parking and great complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Convenient location from airport and also in the bay area overall. Breakfast was good

Staff was very friendly. Great stay. Downtown San Carlos was just a couple of miles away with great restaurants and cute area to walk around.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Location convenient in that it is close to places on the Peninsula I wished to go to. There is a nice running/walking trail within a block of the hotel. Restaurants and shopping are close for driving, but not really convenient to walk to. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The city area where the hotel is at is pretty good, quiet. The room 921 was spacious and clean. I feel that the breakfast selection needs improvement, we just came from Hyatt Place Santa Cruz and compared to them, the breakfast selection was better than Hyatt House Belmont. And the one thing was obvious the moment we entered the room was that the rooms smelled like curry.

Nice quiet place away from the city. Staff was great! The the facility itself seams a little outdated but other than that wonderful stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Overall it was a good stay. We had family with me and we cooked two bedrooms suite. Room space was okay. Bathrooms were little small. The kitchen and living area were spacious and the kitchen had sufficient amenities to cook. We wish we could have a few more pans. The breakfast buffet had limited options and people were waiting for refills. They could add more options of fruits and vegetarian options. The location was kind of at center of places we were going. Outside areas were not cleaned properly. There were many spider webs at the stairs, also the lawn area was not properly maintained.

We liked the location, the breakfast is amazing.

Everything was great - just be aware the Expedia app says that breakfast on the weekends starts at 6 AM, but it really doesn’t start till 7 AM. I didn’t bring anything for breakfast because we had planned on eating at the hotel, but had to be to our sports tournament at 7 AM.

The staff was all extremely friendly, and the breakfast was hot and well-stocked. Rooms are large, and it was nice having a full kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/utensils already in the drawers (no need to call front desk). Pool was surprisingly warm considering it was mid February. Our 3 homeschool families would definitely stay here again.
