Homewood Suites by Hilton Belmont

The hotel’s interior and exterior were spotless. While some staff members were friendly, others were not. Our room was clean, but we faced an issue with the toilet flushing. The parking lot is extremely limited, making it challenging to find a spot, especially if you arrive late at night. Considering this inconvenience, they shouldn’t charge 20.00 per night for parking. They also have an indoor pool that’s separate from the building. Unfortunately, the 2 days we went to the pool all the towels in the pool area were used, so my husband had to request clean ones from the front desk, which he had to go get himself. Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a great time sightseeing.

Our second time there. We will be coming back. Our kids love the pool and hot tub. Great option for families needing separate bedroom for parents and kids can sleep in the living room.

Our stay was really great except for the fact that people are reservations put me down for two days running three days. I had to book an additional day separately, which caused a lot of issues. Then when we moved, we asked them to hold some meat for us because we were gonna use the barbecue which we tested out the day before they lost the meat, it took about an hour to find it. The guy seem like he really didn’t care and then once we got up to the patio, the barbecue wouldn’t like there was two of them both broke very disappointing.

Pros: Friendly desk staff, plenty of on-site parking with easy access into hotel (both front and back), clean facilities, free books for the kids in the lobby, housekeepers will tidy/refresh your room if you request a day in advance, free breakfast, easy access to freeway, happy hour Wednesday evenings with free snacks. Drawbacks: The pool was a bit too cold and they couldn't adjust the temp, traffic noise at night from the freeway (I used earplugs), free breakfast was not as shown (no waffle machines, always a breakfast burrito bar which my kids didn't care for), ADA accessible rooms have a flat walk-in shower which always let water spill out onto the tile floor which is slippery. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we really enjoyed having a 2-bed suite with separate kitchen and living room area. Great for a family with kids.

Parking was completely filled so front desk advised to park at motel adjacent to hotel

The staff was great but the parking is terrible. It's barely sufficient and the spaces are super tight.

It used to be better. Need to remove parking fee, turn back the water pressure in shower heads It took a long time to a take shower (30 mins ). Also need to increase temperature in both hot tub and swimming pool!

There was not enough towels for my family and I. I had to call for towels 2x. Also there was no blankets for my kids bed which I also called for. I also found a moldy plate of food in one of the cabinets. The provided body wash was also empty.

Carpets in room and hallways are filthy and are the way we judge the cleanliness and condition of the hotel. Needs refurbishing.

The room was not thoroughly cleaned. Crumbs are seen on the couch. Bathroom shower has weak water pressure.

This hotel looks nice, but wasn't very clean. The pool and hot tub would have been much more enjoyable without all of the hairballs we found everywhere. The hallway rug wasn't vacuumed at all during our 2 night stay. The chairs, couch and rug in the room were heavily stained. The person staying above us was moving furniture around at odd hours of the night and sounded like they were exercising in the room. In all, it was fine, just not as nice as it could have been. I've stayed in equivalent hotels for 1/3 of the price.

Great hotel stay for our family! Spacious rooms with everything you need for a two day stay for a volleyball tournament. The kitchen was a big help for our stay and had everything you needed.

Everything was nice and clean. The only bad thing was the shower. The curtain didn’t help stop the water from escaping. There was a puddle of water after each shower. We had to lay towels on the ground.

The air conditioning unit was making a funny sound and the toilet took forever to fill. The computer system was down so the nice gentleman had to check us in manually which took a bit.

Over it was a comfortable stay with a few hiccups. The heater did not work. The front desk was contacted and maintenance attempted to fix but was unsuccessful after several attempts. The unit should have been replaced. I was offered a room but was quickly told that the problem could be resolved. Changing rooms was never members again.

I booked a 2-bed room at Homewood Suites Belmont, CA for $166, but the stay was completely unacceptable. When I checked in, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the room temperature was 86°F, unsafe and impossible to stay in. Staff came to look at it but couldn’t fix the issue. I had 3 young kids with me. They then offered to move me to a one-bed room, even though I specifically booked and paid for a two-bed room. Despite the downgrade, they refused to adjust the price or issue a refund. This was not my fault, yet I was expected to settle for less than what I reserved. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to make things right reflects poorly on Hilton’s standards. I would not recommend this location unless management seriously improves its customer service and maintenance.

This property was perfect for our family of 6! The rooms were spacious with a fully stocked kitcken. It was quiet, safe and great. The breakfast in the morning was also really good.

The receptionist wasn't having a good day, we waited one hour and 30 min to be check in, and they have rooms available, they want us to pay early check in fee, even asking 30 min before she didn't want to, probably not coming back.

Well, I was blind-sided by the $20/night parking fee. I MIGHT pay for parking … IF the thermostats worked, microwave oven screen worked, all wall outlets worked, ice machine on my floor worked, hall carpets were cleaned, room service did more than empty the trash twice when asked (in 6 entire days!), breakfast food wasn’t of the cheapest variety, doggie poop area was cleaned up, housekeeping didn’t go home at 4:00 p.m, manager’s appreciation snacks weren’t just on Wednesdays, there was a doorman or concierge to help load/unload your car, fast internet wasn’t an extra charge, getting late check-out didn’t cost $50, they replaced the coffee pods in my room even once, the kitchen had even one sharp or serrated knife, the empty shampoo and conditioner bottles in my bathroom weren’t glued to the shower wall, there was a bottle or two of water in the room when I arrived, and there was someone at the front desk throughout the day to give help when needed, and I had gotten an accessible room as expected. The front desk couldn’t even extend my stay an extra day. Because I had made the original reservation online, 100% paid in advance and nonrefundable by the way, I had to do it online. And, of course, the quoted approximate $146/night turned out to be an average of approximately $187/night because of the weekend and holiday. I ended up moving my car from the hotel handicapped spots to down the block street parking each night. Never again for this Hilton ‘Honors’ member.

I booked 2 one bedroom suites with 2 queen beds in each suite, because of the number of people we had. Instead, they gave me 2 one bedroom suites with 1 king bed each. So, my family of 4 had to share 1 kind bed, which was a disaster. I didn't sleep for 3 nights. In the other room, my elderly uncle had to sleep on the sofa, which left him with an achy back during our entire vacation. What's the worse is that I left several messages for the manager, and never got so much as a courtesy call back. I definitely recommend that you don't stay at this hotel given the poor management and how they treat their guests.

There was long period that no one was at the front desk. We wanted to purchase beverages from the convenience area next to the front desk, but no one was around.

Our dishwasher went out and leaked all over our room. We cleaned it up called room service in which they told us they were unable to change our room since they were full and didn’t offer any additional service or discounts. They sent a person from maintenance named Elvis who did not touch the machine and so it was out of use the rest of our stay and they really didn’t bother to address the issue or check on us our remaining three nights. Overall had that not happened I think the property is nicely located and has convenient parking. The facility was otherwise clean. Breakfast did not change daily like they have posted but was pretty tasty not a lot of kid options.

My stay here was great it had a very clean environment and very accessable to the freeways. Overall loved the stay!

Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Only one restaurant in close proximity. Care has to be taking to walk to other locations as you have to cross freeway ramps to get to them. That is assuming you don’t mind walking a mile each way. Despite the close proximity to the freeway, we could not hear traffic once inside.

I love that it had all the necessary things and was very close to stores also close to the freeway.

We had an actual suite with a full kichen and large refrigerator. Dishes, glasses and cooking implementa included! The bed was around the cirner from the kitchen, so you werent really looking at it. Goid size living room area with corner sifa. Everything was ckean & comfortable & it was on the front of the hotel facing highway traffic, but the noise was barely noticeable. Great hotel, would definitely return again.

Spacious suite near Redwood Shores Lagoon where I went to watch a college rowing event. Met my needs perfectly.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! By far, the highlight was the breakfast. Unlike most places that offer just a continental or pre-packaged breakfast, this hotel had some unique options. They served carnitas tacos with your choice of red or green salsa, and the next day they had tinga. The tortillas were flour and served cold, so we used the rotating toaster to warm them up. They weren’t restaurant-quality or fully authentic, but they were tasty and a welcome change from the usual breakfast fare. They also offered the usual breakfast staples like eggs, potatoes, and more. The service was good overall, with friendly staff, though there was one person who didn’t seem too thrilled to answer questions. The lobby was clean and inviting, and the parking area felt very secure and well-lit. The rooms seemed modern; I did notice some minor discoloration/rust around the bathroom door, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The shower had excellent water pressure, though there was no tub. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would probably return. I’d also recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The room we stayed in was adequate; however, there were flaws during our stay: (1) a big stain in the carpet in the living area; (2) the bathroom smelled like dog urine -- faint, but it was present (this after waiting a while to get our room ready); (3) breakfast is underwhelming for a Hilton suite. In the hotels I've stayed at, from 2 stars to 5 stars, they provided eggs and another protein (i.e., bacon, sausage links, etc.) Not here. It was only scrambled eggs and overcooked and dry for 4 straight days. Not sure if not serving a second protein is a cost-cutting measure, but at least learn how to cook eggs properly. Most of the staff were nice, from the maintenance guy to the cleaners. Unfortunately, the front desk woman, when we arrived, could use a little more customer service training and attitude improvement. Travelling with kids is not easy especially when they are young. When your room is not available around check-in time, it's frustrating but I understand it happens. The problem with the front desk is she did a poor job conveying the info about when our room will be available. "I don't know what to tell you" is never an acceptable response especially after she already gave an arbitrarily selected time range to wait. I know she hates her job and is just going through the motions and doing the bare minimum but if you're going to be the front-facing staff for the hotel -- DO BETTER!

Unbeatable hotel for the price paid. Loved the kitchen, size of rooms, facilities within the including jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool and breakfast was included which was the best during our stay in California. Really recommended
