A quaint peaceful little beach area with its own wading area even its own boat dock ! Basketball hoop for the kids, bbq and picnic tables. Nice relaxing area to sip your coffee watch the ducks and the boats out on the early morning water.

The Lakefront Lodge offers a beautiful view of the lake in addition to a BBQ, ping pong table, basketball hoop, and volleyball net. Families with small children can sit beachfront and watch their kids enjoy the shallow waters and swimming ducks or play in the garden play area. Easy to launch kayaks and paddle boards in calm waters from the shore or floating docks. A complimentary selection of breads, oatmeal, and coffee is available during breakfast hours. Property is slowly being updated, but is a great value for the lake views. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lakefront beach area, barbecue, pier for docking boats and fishing, children’s play area. Gorgeous sunrises and sounds of nature. Continental breakfast and free parking. Walking distance to Village restaurants and shops.

Location is great. Close to the village and other activities. Lakefront with docks. The hotel itself is old and outdated. Hotel staff was nice and helpful when my son and I were trying to find the ping pong balls to play on the table. Lady at the front desk told me there were no pets allowed, but I saw dogs on the property, so not sure what that was about.

Very relaxing location. The facility is aging and a lot of maintenance is needed, but it is very relaxing and the staff is friendly & helpful. Part of the aging of the property attributes to the charm. The location is great as is the staff. I would be interested in returning again.

We had a wonderful view of the lake. It was no more than 50 yards away. We sat on our patio drinking our complementary morning coffee while watching the ducks. One flight of steps down and we were sitting in the lodge's chairs with our toes in the sand. We grilled on the barbecue using all the lodge's provisions. What a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Room was dirty. Beds had dirty sheets. TV signal wasn’t good and couldn’t enjoy the tv. Floors were dirty had old food and hair. Wall heater was not secure. Hallway smelled like fumes. Bathroom wasn’t clean. Had to hold handle to toilet down until it completely flushed. Left room the same night.

Well after checking in we thought the room looked a little weird, but couldn’t quite put our finger on it. It wasn’t until after we laid down to go to bed that my wife felt something crawling on her leg and we flicked the light on to see what it was, and seen a bunch of cockroaches scattering all over the place, including the one that was running on her leg Once I called management at 11:30 to let them know that we’re checking out I was met with a lady Donna, who had a terrible attitude. And all I wanted to know was where I could leave the key because I wasn’t gonna subject myself or my wife to sleeping in a hotel that has cockroaches. Once I told her about this, she exclaimed that they never got complaints on room seven and that’s the handicap room. That explained why the room was just one box with a bed, which was really uncomfortable By the way…. I actually have a picture of it (roach) and I would love to upload it to this. I think I should get a refund and I would consider taking my review down if I was compensated.

Horrible everything! This place has not been cleaned for YEARS (I’m not afraid to say that). It was scary to sleep, especially with an infant. I was scared of rats getting to my little one, so there was no sleep at all((( never had experienced anything like this in any hotels, and I traveled quite a bit throughout my life at different places in the world, never would imagine that somewhere in the US it is possible to see this kind of “picture” I cannot name it home nor hotel.

The room was very dusty—fan, vents, and furniture all had visible dirt. Clearly not cleaned properly. Manager seemed okay with everything and didn’t take concerns seriously. Very disappointing.

Dirty bathroom Room dirty floors spiderwebs coffee bags but no sugar nor sweeteners not clean cups Not safe patio/deck sliding door lock did not work properly hard time to lock it no maintenance Ceiling Fan had a very short chain to stop the fan Light worked Really bad place Deceiving pictures shown on line shows a nicer place Told all my impressions to the check-in clerk We couldn’t get another place because the whole Big Bear area was booked and packed with visitors We were staying one night only thank God so we decided to slept there for one night and we left next morning And by the way BREAKFAST WAS A JOKE!!! there was no hot water and it wasn’t going to be fixed until the next day, room was dirty found toilet paper on the floor behind the door, there were crumbs on the table, the table was loose, one of the beds did not have a mattress topper it was only the springs and I found a long hair on one of the pillows, lastly the beach area was super dirty

This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed. The bathroom was horrendous, filthy beyond description. I dont think anyone has ever scrubbed the tub or toilet. The towels looked like they were never washed, so we went to ask for more towels at the front desk only to be given more dirty towels. There was wiring exposed in the bathroom at the light switch. We didnt even dare sleep under tbe blankets. Luckily, we had taken a throw with us and just slept on top of the comforter and used the throw. There was a strong propane odor in the hallway. We had to hold our breathe every time we ran by. I can't believe Expedia associates itself with this place. It is literally a dump. The only positive is its location.

I rate the room OK. The essentials worked...bed was comfortable, hot water for shower. But there was only 1 chair in the room and none on the patio so we couldn't sit on the patio together, the handle on the microwave was half broken, no ice available anywhere, and the TV was small and about 13 or 14 feet from the bed so hard to view. Also no channels available, only via Internet connection so we watched Youtube videos.

It was a nightmare to take a shower in this place. It was either scolding hot or more pressure than a fire hose. The main door and bathroom door looked like they had been kicked in and silicones backed together. So much silicone on the bathroom door that it never closed properly. By the end of the second night we had ants in our room. Multiple outlets did not work. This place was ok for me because im a fisherman and this hotel was on the water but actually staying in the room made me feel like i could have found something a little better. If i were to stay here again i would call ahead and make sure some of these issues will not be in my next room. Staff was good, property was nice, fishing from the dock was awesome, but sleeping and relaxing aspect wasnt there.

The property has a gorgeous view of the lake with easy entry into the lake except for a little grass .nice dock out in front great view of fireworks -only problem we had was the TV is tiny, and the remote did not work to change channels. Would return again!

The room is a nice size but the the plumbing is very loud. The units on the second floor can be heard all night. Very thin walls and loud stepping sounds through out the night.

To be fair I booked the hotel late after an event we decided to stay. when we got to the hotel no one was at the front it was closed even though it said they should’ve still be open. We got there at 10 and their office hours was till 11. We called and the person that answer was very dry and wouldn’t even let me speak she just said what to do but couldn’t understand her and she would hang up before I could even speak back with questions. After the 3rd time calling her and trying to figure out what was happening we got the keys and went into the room. The room smelled of smoke but he had to make do. I wouldn’t stay again.

Great location, but poorly managed. While the location is excellent, the property is very poorly run. I was asked to return three times because my room wasn’t ready or cleaned. Only one staff member appeared to be working and was handling everything alone. There were no towels available on the property for guests. When I asked about them, I was told there simply weren’t any—and they might not get more until next week. Overall, very disappointing experience despite the convenient location.

Our host was amazing from the moment we checked in until we left. We were a little high maintenance (ran out of TP, towels, the heater was running in summer, etc.), and the fella in the front office fixed EVERYTHING for us with such kindness and hospitable manner. We didnt deserve his care! We also had a perfect front row seat for the 4th of July fireworks... from our balcony! It was a wonderful stay, highly recommend for a trouble-free, easy, and friendly stay in gorgeous Big Bear!

Absolutely loved our stay at Big Bear Lakefront Lodge! The staff (Terry and Marisol) were extremely courteous and accommodating. They offered my family a warm reception when we arrived. The view is amazing!! A beautiful, inspiring panoramic view of the lake and trees. Even better... this cozy lodge is located right smack dab in the heart of Big Bear Lake, literally down the block from the village! The beds are comfortable, room was tidy. Perfect for the family! Big Bear Lakefront Lodge is a gem!!

Arrived early, at 12:30 office was closed, manager didn't answer the phone. Had lunch - came back at 2:45, office was closed, manager didn't answer the phone. Current occupant came out and said the manager never showed today, and there is no hot water on property which is why they had sub 100 dollar rates. After I found other lodging and spoke with Expedia at 3:30, I got an email at 3:58 from the property confirming lodging and check in, etc. I got confirmation and instruction 1 hour after check in time. Additionally the instruction state they are no longer pet friendly, Expedia lists them as pet friendly. We had already drove over an hour up the hill with a pet.. All in all horrible, office closed for over 4 hours during open hours, and not answering the phone over 6 times during those 4 hours. Will never attempt to stay here again.

This was awful- I literally left after 20 minutes and they refused a refund. There was garbage in the room, no towels on premises, didn’t have the room I reserved, and rude front desk service. I had to find somewhere else to stay after driving 3 hours to get to this place. The pictures are not accurate, the “beach” is a gross mud pit

We arrived to check in and met with a note taped to the door, “be back in 15 minutes” so we stayed around for 15 minutes with no return, and decided to leave to get an early dinner only to arrive back an hour later to the same note still there, once we were allowed into our room we were met with a bathroom floor covered in water popcorn kernels on the ground and rat droppings on the counter and inside of the microwave, we were awoken through the night because of the plumbing that runs through the paper thin walls, everytime anyone does as much as turn on a sink or flush the toilet the ceiling and walls shake and scream. A cherry on top is when I was in the shower the front desk decided to give another guest the keys to our room so we had unwelcome strangers come into our room while I was naked. If there hadn’t been a terrible storm I would have left that night, however we stayed and left the next morning and canceled our small get away early. We booked for two days and had to leave early because of how disgusting this property is. All of these issues were brought to the attention of the staff, and a very nice man tried to remedy the solution and called his manager, I asked for a refund and the manager offered a voucher for a different stay there instead. Obviously I will never return to this property. So I paid for 2 nights and got none of my money back. DO NOT STAY HERE AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Big Bear Lakefront sits right on the lake. It's near The Village where there are a lot of shops and food. Close by park areas to play in the snow and about 10 mins from the ski resort. A lot of traffic during the day in that area. The people were really friendly.

This is a cozy property right on the lake! They had a property-wide maintenance issue on our first night but the front desk employees were friendly and accommodating about it. The issue was resolved for the second night and we were compensated for our troubles. Our little one liked the balconies overlooking the courtyard. This hotel was in a great location and within a short walk to Big Bear Village. We'd recommend you stay at this hotel, especially for the price!

The place is undergoing new management The front desk should be given training/seminar how to welcome costumer. Did you see the continental breakfast. What was that. Not even a microwave. We stayed in 3 diff hotels that weekend, this is the only place I'm not coming back to.

Great location, unfortunately rundown. Traveled with 2 kiddos and we didn’t have any cold water for bath time the entire stay. Breakfast wasn’t available Saturday morning so come Sunday morning we just ordered food to be safe and avoid any hangry meltdowns.

They had no hot water in our building but they said Hotel.com was not supposed book the rooms in the first place. They did take $100 off for our weekend tho. But continental breakfast in just a coffee machine, dry cereal and granola bars. 2 queen beds in my room and 1 of beds literally had a box spring as the mattress. Cool they had a boat dock. You can keep your boat tied up all weekend. Besides that. Not a fan

The cleaning staff did not come in daily to replace the towels, sheets, or clean the floor. It was snowy during the stays we were there and there was not a place to put your dirty shoes without the dirt and water leaking on to the floor. The breakfast included was a just continental with a small Danish, two cereals, and coffee. Since the staff did not get in until 8 am there was not coffee ready until about 8:20 most days. However, the room heater worked EXCELLENT. Actually, I blame expedia because when I was looking at various, this was not the site I wanted and ended up paying a non refundable fee to a less than desirable site.

Told until 9:00 am Went at 8:30, door was locked Nobody there- I have two small kids, so DID NOT buy milk cause they said they'd have it Was no dowels Was no got water Beds are like jail spring mattresses Was no beach like advertised I want a refund...
