We enjoyed a night stay here. Host graciously let us change room to avoid stairs, and let us check out late to use space for a business call. Thank You! Property was renovated a few years ago (?) but our room condition was still excellent; all was clean, furniture, bed, bathroom in tip-top shape. Property has wooden steps to top floor, it's fine, but you will hear ppl going up and down. great location, short walk into the downtown Ocean Ave shopping/restaurant district. Short drive to Pt. Lobos Park. Breakfast offerings kind of standard hot egg/sausage/pancake,and variety of fruit, yogurt, cold. Note that Breakfast area is cramped, but still was fine for us and other guests.

Loved the location. Clean, easy access, quiet, beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection, however there is not much room to sit by the reception, it’s a tiny area; therefore most guests grabbed their food and left. Staff was friendly and provided us with a map of the area. Bruno’s market it’s right behind it so it was easy to grab a sandwich, water and snacks, totally recommend it. Parking was the only downside, they only have a handful of parking spots and there are 2hr parking around the area.

The location was convenient as it was off of one of the main roads in carmel. The walk to the beach is doable but a bit harder than expected. Easy to get around and just down the street from their farmers market on thursday! Check in and check out was super easy and staff was friendly. Parking lot was a bit inconvenient due to few spaces and lots of cars but there was free roadside parking very close by.

The location was very convenient, close to downtown but the parking was challenging very minimal spots at the Inn. It is mainly street parking & could be several blocks away, very challenging & disappointing. We won’t be staying there again.

This hotel was great for what we needed. Rooms were bigger than I probably thought they would be and were spotlessly clean. The free breakfast was good too , in a very small room but managed to get a good selection into a small space. Definitely worth a stay here if you are looking to stay in Carmel

The hotel manager was very nice and friendly. Nice complementary breakfast. However, the room was not cleaned daily, had to request to be cleaned, including emptying the trash cans. Parking was a problem too.

Pros: Location is right next to shops and restaurants. Room decor and furniture are simple but updated. Bed was comfy Cons: Registration area is small and outdated. Super noisy at night and the walls are thin. Room had no air conditioner and the old heater didn't seem to work. It was freezing in the morning. The room is tiny! Bathroom sink was a bit dirty and the shower curtains were torn. Outdoors is outdated, dingy. Looks better at night.

The walls were paper thin. My room was next to their laundry, and about 7:30 am. It was so noisy the walls were actually shaking. I could hear the person in the adjacent room snoring. The ceiling shook from the kids in the family in the room above me. You get what you pay for.

Nice motel for a reasonable price for the area, room slightly small and not too well insulated against light or noise but overall was very comfortable for an overnight stay. No comment on the breakfast as we did not have any. Just a short walk into town for a selection of restaurants.

I've stayed at this property four times and enjoy the close location to town, it's quiet/low-keyed atmosphere and the fact that they have recently remodeled the property. I didn't realize and maybe this has changed over the years, how noisy Ocean Avenue is until the wee hours of the morning.

The location and included parking were why we chose this location and both were great features. The location is perfect for walking to Carmel's shopping and restaurants. The beach is only a 10 min walk and it's a 10 minute drive from Monterey airport. The area is great and felt very safe. The outdoor seating area was much appreciated and we used it to gather with others in our group. The breakfast was basically a very simple continental, plus scrambled eggs and sausage. The cons are no soundproofing in rooms - we heard everything from our neighbors and felt like they were in the room with us. People walking by were very close and it was very loud. The rooms have little air circulation and no A/C, so when it's warm the rooms are hot and stuffy. All in all, fine for what we wanted, but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a romantic, private stay.

The hotel is in a great location and the price is good. The room is clean and I love the beachy decor. Unfortunately, the walls and floors don't have enough insulation to absorb the noise. I was given a room at floor level and I heard all the foot noises upstairs. Also, at 9am, I also heard the vacuum going which was too much. I would love to come back again but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to due to the noise.

This property is super close to downtown Carmel. It’s only one block away. Super convenient to stores, grocery marts, eateries, etc. Rooms are modernized, although not entirely sound proof. Very clean rooms. Front reception area is small, with breakfast options in the morning. It’s not extravagant but enough to get you started for the day. We enjoyed our stay there.

The staff was very kind and allowed us to check in early so we could park our cars in the parking lot and walk into town. We were also able to leave our cars a bit after check out which was super helpful. We had a pleasant stay!

The host lady was very rude and not too personable. She spoke with an attitude and was very aggressive. I will not be using this hotel ever again due to that. I spent a good Amount of money to stay there, and it was not worth it at all!

Had a pleasant 1 night stay here in January. We were able to park the car easily. The room was fine - very basic but cute from the outside. We needed to wear earplugs at night as it was very loud, especially when other rooms were using their showers. The room was spacious and clean. The location was good for the price. It’s on the edge of the walkable shopping / tourist district. We walked to the sea and back easily. We visited mid-week in January and found it a bit difficult to get a late dinner in the area. Maybe book somewhere for dinner. When checking out the hotel really went above and beyond for us. Instead of holding our luggage for a couple of hours, they let us keep the room for a few extra hours. They knew we had a long drive and said we could store our luggage and also freshen up before the drive. This was exceptionally helpful and kind. Thank you!

I booked this hotel after seeing good reviews of it. It is walkable to downtown Carmel which was a plus, however I requested a room second floor based on reviews saying there was a lot of noise on the first floor. I arrived and heard the front desk give a woman in front of me a 2nd floor room then tell me there weren’t any available. When I stepped out for a minute the front desk told my fiance they were “completely sold out” for the night other than our first story room, but when I came back in he said he had one on the second floor for 30$ more a night because it is a kind bed. I said ok that is fine and had him transfer me to that room. We got to the room and it was a double bed. At this point we were frustrated but took it for what it is. Terrible service here, not soundproof at all even on the second floor I would not stay here again. The front desk lying was ridiculous to me.
