Such a cute little inn close to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. Love that it's dog friendly! I will stay here again... the only thing that could improve is either having a water refill station or a vending machine to purchase water.

It was a charming resort. Most are individual cottages--some with a common wall. Easy parking. Very private and quiet. Very convenient with fridge, microwave and table with two chairs. Good Internet (no cell service). I'd stay here again.

The place was quiet. Other than the room was very small about the size of hotel bathrooms, Bathroom smelled of mold and shower needed attention, Bed was squeaky, Door was warped and didn’t close all the way, Windows were open when we arrived after 9pm so the room was very cold. The only heat source was a plug in heater which didn’t heat the room very well. Everything was outdated except the Tv. Very disappointed in paying over $300 for the night its a complete rip off.

We stayed in the Ocean House. Spacious with good amenities including flat screen TV, microwave, mini fridge and in room coffee. The bed frame was squeaky and we couldn't get the heater to work. Otherwise, very quiet and peaceful.

We enjoyed the stay and would stay again but in a different room. The room walls were a bit thin as we could hear the neighbors conversations pretty clearly and we found the motion sensor bathroom lights/exhaust fan a bit obnoxious but overall it was a good room with comfy bedding and a good amount of amenities. You get a designated parking spot which was great. The fountain/pond area was nice at night but be aware there’s quite a few critters roaming around, they weren’t an issue but it’s worth noting.

Our room felt like a cabin. Which we didnt expect but were pleased. We stayed in 129 which was in the far corner away from the other rooms. Which was nice and had direct access to Guadalupe street making it easy to come and go. Room was a little odd, but everything we needed was there. I did panick when I realized there was no AC, but found a room fan in the closet that really helped move the air. It isnt hot in carmel, but I get hot easily. Property is a 5 minute drive from downtown and the beach. I would definitely book again.

The person checking me in didnt give me any additional info such as where you can get ice, the room doesn't have air conditioning but there's a fan in the closet. Room was extremely stuffy when o got there. Sat on the little porch and keep the door open to air out the cabin.

Great stay! But my only complaint is the lack of service in the area. No cell service and the WIFI did not work. That is the only complaint for me other than that everything was clean, accessible, and affordable.

It was fine. You have parking for one car in front of your room, if you have a second car you need to find street parking. The bed/pillows weren't super comfortable, but not horrible. Thankfully there was a portable fan in the room since there is no AC. Location is nice to be close to Carmel without being right downtown

Cons: The room smells especially the poor sewage. We booked two rooms and both had clogged toilets. Water was leaking outside our room. Pros: Staff were attentive and helped us with late check-in.

First of all, there is no "real" address to find the place, and it took us 30 minutes to find it. It wasn't where our GPS told us, because it's an imprecise address. Secondly, the Internet was bad, and finding it became all but impossible without any Internet service in the area. Finally, the front desk person was unhelpful; no suggestions for places to eat, nothing. Overall, a below average experience because of the above reasons. But, the place was clean. Also, the tv was small; hard to watch a basketball game. It's as if we were prisoners there because of poor Internet/wifi.

I arrived early and the receptionist allowed early registration so that I could park on the property so I could go on a long bike ride. Also room was available well before the 4:00 p.m. check-in time.

Pros: Check-in was easy, room was clean and property was nestled in a neighborhood. Cons: fireplace/heater did not work, bathroom window did not close or lock and I felt like the neighbors were in my room. It is not walking distance to Carmel by the sea but a short 4 minute drive.

We used to stay here in the early 2000’s because it was charming and cozy. Somewhere in the last 20 years, it lost its charm. No longer do they leave a cute basket of breakfast on your doorstep. On the plus side, there was a roomy fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, a fireplace and a dedicated parking spot. However, the bed was like sleeping on marbles and I had bruises on my hips, the shower head was too low, even for me at 5’ 3”, and there was no place to put your clothes in the big bathroom. A couple of throw rugs, a vanity in the bathroom and a foam bed topper would go far to make it comfy again.
