The Embassy Suites is clean, quiet and spacious. The staff is very helpful and attentive. My only gripe is the cost for parking, it doesn't make sense to pay $18 a night for parking, there is no guard or parking port. Its all really public parking. Other then that our stay was great!!

Hotel is comfortable. Breakfast is a nice option. Gym is actually in great condition and has the basics. This hotel needs a little TLC- chipped paint, furniture with rips in the "leather", door was a little rough to close...overall it was comfortable and I do like the product, but it needs some attention.

One elevator by our room was broken. It took forever to get up and down. Our door was old and broken and had to be shut hard to close. The parking is shared with public parking and a theater next door. We are charged for parking but can’t find any open spaces because the public parks there for free. Besides that everything else was great.

We booked this hotel specifically for the indior heated pool so the kids could swim in winter. However, when we arrived at the hotel, the pool was shut down. Thr kids were so bummed. There was also only 1 remote for the tvs in our room. There were 2 tvs but only 1 remote. The food and service were great. The hotel was very clean.

Everything in this property is broken. I choose this hotel because I had to be in Downey for 2 weeks for business and I needed a gym, laundry. Wanted a pool. This place - laundry broken, when I told the manager she said she didn't have enough money to get it fixed and I could do the laundry mat down the street. Folks, I paid 240 a night for this Gym machines weren't working right Elevator out of service..would take 10 mins to get to my room on the 7th floor. Jacuzzi is broken, my shower didn't work right and they promised to fix but never did. Half the lights in my room didn't function Breakfast was good but there was always a 20 min line for a breakfast and they only served for all of 2 hours .... So I ended up with a bowl of cereal. It was a toss up between this and the Marriott. I choose this place because it was about 1.5 miles closer to where I was working.. I really wish I went to the Marriott. One thing..the place diosa across the street had to be one of the best Mexican places I've been to in forever.

The pool was never cleaned my entire stay. The jacuzzi was discussing and smelled like pee. Food was the greatest. But the alcohol drinks and room was Amazing

This hotel was horrible. The staff was nice but the cleanliness was the worst! It was moldy and stuffy. The showers had scum on them. The pool had a layer of chlorine and was not able to swim in it. I will never stay here again.

Bad experience from the get go, I tried to check in on my stay which I've booked about 2 hours prior, and got their and wasn't able to pull up, after 30 minutes Expedia called them to advise that they had the reservation was good and is Valid, so they had to resend to the Hotel. Something was wrong with their system, as another customer was going through the same issue but with another 3rd party booking. There were several kids looks to be a birthday party coming in out of the pool with no keycards, loud and Ghetto, I had to leave with my niece and nephews to go back to the room. The bathroom, had rotten moldings, bathorrom is smaller then normal Hotels. I've been to Motels with bigger bathrooms. I went to check out the next day, and asked for a printed receipt, and the guy said just drop the key and i should get a receipt by 8am. It is now 3:12 as I write this message . smh

Rooms not ready at 4pm check in time. When we got into the room the smell was horrible. The hard floors were sticky and the carpets were not vacuumed showing what appeared to be pet hair and trash and old food. There was what appeared to be unwashed blood on the bedding. There was no toilet paper in the restroom and the shower was visably dirty. The lights in the living room were broken and flashing like a disco. When I tried to call from the bedroom the phone did not work. I went to the other phone and sat on the sofa that turned out to be wet, leaving me wet. So gross. There were no other rooms available. They did send housekeeping to correct some of the issues with the room. We have stayed bfore and not had a room in this condition but this stay would not prompt me to stay again.

I didn't like where my room was positioned (last door on the left next to an exit door). My room didn't feel clean, and I wanted to throw up when I saw how badly stained the mattress to the pull-out sofa bed was (it looked like a crime scene). There was mold and filth around the edges of the tub and the sink was dirty. The room just didn't feel or look clean. I didn't complain because my family and I were on the go from sunup to sundown; otherwise, I would have left. Another thing that made me upset is when housekeeping came banging on my door at 0830 am on my last day there, wanting to clean the room. When I tried asking the housekeeper what she wanted, because checkout wasn't until 11:00, she said "No Ingles", so we called down to the front desk and complained; someone did take care of it right away. The hotel lobby is beautiful, some of the staff was friendly, but I will not be back unless I'm offered a free night in a presidential suite.

The room was very nice it just had a horrible smell like sewer, the staff did try to move me to another room but the balcony in the new room wasn’t the same as the balcony I wanted. So I decided to stay in the smelly room, after I went to target to get plug ins and candles for the smell. Then I go to take a shower and the water smells like farts the water just has a horrible smell! Room 827 is a smelly room something isn’t right with the plumbing or something!

Chris was great at the check-in! The main draw of this hotel is it is very near downtown Downey and the art center. The room itself was fine but needs some touch ups- paint, fix the warped door, etc. It was quiet, however the pillows are so flat (not sure why all hotels have terrible pillows now). Not sure if I would stay here again- I think their could be newer hotels at a similar price point.

Really nice hotel but our room had a few issues. Half the lights were not working, air conditioner leaking. The king bed we had reserved was not available on check in. We did get compensated however with free parking. Breakfast was not the best. Same food every day. They made fresh omelettes every day though.

The hotel is in a nice location. Lots of shopping and restaurants around within walking distance. Checking in was fast. The room we checked in was right across the elevator, which was a little bothersome due to the noise when the elevator was in use. We booked a non-smoking room but upon entering, the front room with the couch smelled like smoke however, the back room where the double beds were did not smell like smoke. We booked the room for 6 people but there were only 4 towels in the room therefore, we had to call the front desk for more towels. When the maintenance man brought up the towels, we requested a fan as it was extremely hot in our room, he advised us that there were no more fans. He was able to find an extra fan in an empty room and brought it to us. In addition, we had to ring the front desk for extra bed sheets and pillows as there were none for the pull out couch. We were not able to adjust the AC temperature of the room as it was controlled by the hotel. The room was very hot and humid. There was a sliding door in our room that overlooks the parking lot but there were no screen and since we were traveling with kids, we did not risk opening the sliding door. This was a deal breaker so we had to check out early. Management was understanding of the early departure and did provide a partial refund.

Horrible front desk staff.. My parent we’re checking in, and unfortunately a staff named Christopher was being racist and disrespectful to my dad telling him that he should of learn English and he wasn’t going to waste he’s time in speaking in Spanish to my dad. My dad felt humiliated and embarrassed. The guy was Hispanic And he was bilingual. He’s name was “Christopher” !!

Stayed here 2 nights, I arrived early (3pm) and went straight to the front desk and the lady informed me there was no rooms available which i was ok with bc I was early, I went back to the front desk at 4pm still no rooms available ( I was exhausted) and I was told by a different lady to step To the side and wait. finally almost 4:30pm she gives me the key for my room and not 1 time neither one of them apologized for the wait and their behavior wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all, A couple of hours later I needed a couple of cups since my room didn’t have any, I called room service and no response, I had to call the front desk asked for cups they said ok you have to wait, 30 mins later I called again the lady says you need to go get it yourself because we are short staffed and once again No apology. The room was clean and spacious the only problem with the room is the temperature it was very hot and the AC unit wasn’t working well I had it on 60 the entire time but still no cold air would come out only Fan option available no AC

I normally love Embassy Suites, this location was severely understaffed, staff was answering phones for reservations, trying to check people in.., I called and asked for extra blanket- never came, my family stayed there had 3 rooms all felt the same. My daughter left a dress in the room has called several times no answer or someone will get back to her, Rushed on the phone… I would never stay at this location again

The hotel was very nice! The rooms were nice as well! The only thing I can complain about is the room service it is horrible! They were only in my room when it was requested and the sheets on the bed were never changed. Same sheets for almost the whole week I was there. We had to request more towels because the ones we had already had been used. When I approached one of the cleaners she told me that she was too busy! I could not believe it.

Great location. Close to everything from shopping to eating. The daytime staff was truly helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Being winter time, the room thermostat was not operational for heat or ac. Spoke to the young lady at the desk during the nighttime and she didn’t really seem to care but, overall the stay was satisfactory.

Felt a little dark in the parking lots, at night. Could use a little more lighting. There were a couple of homeless walking around, which made it feel a little unsafe, at night. But, the stay inside of the hotel felt very safe and welcoming. Lots of amenities and free food and drinks. We enjoued our stay.

The hotel is in a great location, Central to the things we needed. It's a little bit dated but they do a good job keeping it clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating, free breakfast was basic but good. Parking was a little iffy but it was not a problem.

The stay was nice besides us finding 3 mosquitos in the room, the shower door being loose, the water pressure was terrible and the shower head barely worked. Austin at the front desk was extremely nice and helped with an issue we had.

The staff were nice. Could use improvement in the amenities. Was disappointed there were only 2 sets of towels in the room at check in. Went to the front desk to ask for more towels and after 2 hours we still didn’t get any. I went down to the front desk after we return from dinner and asked about the towels. The security guy was the person working at the front desk and apologized they had a busy week and towels were in the dryer. He said he would find more towels. Around 12:15am I was given a few more towels by the security staff. The toilet in our room didn’t flush very well, the. Fan in the bathroom didn’t work. There is no air conditioning in the common area. We had just stayed the night in San Diego at an Embassy suite that was great so it was disappointing this Downey location didn’t meet the expectations of a Hilton hotel. I did share my experience with a manager on the next day and was told they would credit me the last night. It’s been 2 weeks since we stayed there and I haven’t seen any credit that was promised.

It's a gorgeous hotel with beautiful aesthetic, I use to stay here back in 2014-2015. Rooms are nice and spacious. Only complaint was that the doors look outdated and are not in the best condition. Also my bathroom sink was backed up. Water wouldn't drain. The rooms definitely need a little TLC. The breakfast buffet is a good selection of food with fresh to order omelets and even a soda fountain. But come 9 Am and they clear everything. They don't give you 5 min extra. The cleaning lady had a grouchy attitude. While she was clearing the pastries I asked if I could grab one and she didn't even say anythingcjust gave me a dirt look. They definitely don't like people asking for food and she doesn't look like she likes her job all that much. One of the better hotels in Downey
