I called ahead to confirm that the water slides would be open when we get there in a few days, and the hotel personell confirmed. Then when we got there it was closed. According to other guests the water slides have been closed for the last 3 days. When we talked to the front desk, they confirmed its closed because of the season. However, she said that may open it again at some days soon when they feel like it. The main reason that we choose this hotel was because of the water slides for our kids. :(

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is both friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and appealing, but the atmosphere leans more towards a corporate business vibe, making it less suitable for families with children. The saltwater pool is heated and features a beach entrance for younger guests, though we didn’t get to enjoy the slides as they close early. The rooms are somewhat small and lack sufficient storage for our family of four during our two-night stay. Unfortunately, the beds weren't very comfortable, and the TV channel selection was disappointing. The fitness room is spacious, but we found it frustrating how they charge for everything; parking was $40 per day, and they even charged our guests for parking. It feels excessive.

The pool had around 80 kids in the pool and during 7 hrs that where at the pool they did not asked the kids to get out of the pool for a 10-15 mins to clean the pool or go make sure it was hygiene.

Great property. Great pool. Amazing large video screens throughout the lobby, restaurant and pool. It's a very modern hotel. A small center w/CVS is 15 min walk & walking anywhere feels very safe. Parking is expensive.

The balcony room is not really a balcony you can sit on. Disappointing since we waited for the room for over 2 hours to be ready. The slide is great but closes at 6 and 5 on Sunday. There is a big screen at the pool. Sadly they only showed a movie on Saturday night not Sunday. The pool is smaller than it looks and can be very crowded

The area was nice, lobby was beautiful. I discovered a nice little walk to Starbucks only 1/2 mile from the hotel. Dinged one star from cleanliness because of the visible layer of dust along the headboard/lamps and nightstands as well as the number of hairs left on the shower wall. I always expect one or two because we’re people but this was definitely left by the last person who washed their hair in there. (Also note the water refill stations- don’t buy the $10 water in the cafe)

I’ve stayed at many Hyatts as a member. I’ve never had a bad experience. However, this time I was met with a situation that quite surprised me. As I hopped in the shower, I was met with a wall of hair clumps. Not one, or two or even 10 strands… clumps of hair. It was alarming, to say the least, and left me wondering what else hadn’t been cleaned properly. The kind of situation that makes your skin crawl. The most disappointing part of it all honestly was the lack of empathy from the front desk. I received a half hearted “sorry” and a comment that the cleaning staff would be spoken to. (The agent didn’t even seem surprised) After that I was met with the option of the equivalent to $30 in compensation. It was fairly offensive.

Pros - convenient location - nice valet people and offer to help with luggage - nice lobby and the hotel seems new Cons - I got a room that was not cleaned (towels everywhere, the beds were not made, etc.) although their system said it’s clean - hallways are extremely dirty, full of trashes on the carpet. It seems it hasn’t been vacuumed or cleaned for a month - I checked out this morning and was told a receipt would be emailed to me (the front desk lady asked for my email), but I never got it.

My check in experience was a little strange. I was told to move my car far away from the entrance when I had take my luggage out to check in because the hotel was filming something. The room was extremely dirty and was obvious it was not thoroughly inspected or cleaned. The towels had a dried up brown substance on them and the ironing board was covered in a white powder. The fridge was extremely dirty and had to call the front desk twice to have it cleaned. Unfortunately it was not cleaned until 2 days later resulting in my snacks going bad. Overall this was extremely disappointing and shocking especially from a Hyatt hotel.

Large events and no parking. Restaurant is extremely overpriced. Market Cafe food is slightly cheaper, but tastes like Jr. High cafe. Price for rooms does not comport with what they have to offer. Carpet is very worn in hallways. Often has debris on it.

The hotel interior and exterior, including the e pool was incredible. We stayed in a kids suite with bunk beds in a separate room, was fantastic. Only are of improvement would be the air conditioning that triggered a banging in both rooms whenever the ac was activated, likely needs just a bit of tightening/maintenance.

Great stay for one night, beautifully remodeled yet still under slight renovation. Miriam was very kind at check in. The market place in the lobby was very convenient, clean, and spacious. The market place had numerous drink and snack selections, food is also really good. The room itself was spacious, beds were very comfortable, room comes with a mini fridge and a coffee maker, no microwave (microwave is located in the lobby at the market place). Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The hotel is nice looking and the pool is nice, but there is little to no service. Pool orders are done via an app and take forever to get delivered. They also rent out space at the pool via day passes so the pool is very crowded on the weekend. This is a ginormous hotel. It was clean and well maintained. They appear to be understaffed since they came to clean the room at 6pm. I waited in line at the desk more than I do at other hotels. Nothing horrible just a note. The parking ticket didn't work the first time-- embarrassing to be sitting there with cars behind me--- finally found the help button and they let me right out. So reasonable place to stay just no "wow" moments.

The staff are amazing and made us feel welcome and supported. We had to use the sofa bed and the young man from housekeeping was so nice and did a great job setting up the bed for us. The lady at the front desk Sunday morning was cheerful and helpful. The young man in valet helped with our suitcases and was so sweet. Great job to the staff!! My only wish was that I would have gotten everyone’s names to thank the properly. I used to work for the Hyatt in the late 90’s and I am proud to say that after the experience we had at this property. Sending a huge thank you to the Hyatt Irvine team!

The Hyatt had impeccable service, very clean and rooms are very spacious and comfortable. It is in a very convenient location close to everything including the Spectrum center. Will definitely come back and stay here again. Highly recommend.

We loved our room and the pool area is nice. The pool opens at 8am, but they don't have any staff onsite for the slides until 11am which was a disappointment for the kiddos and impressing the kiddos, trumps everything. The ordered Market items and restaurant are extremely over-priced as well. Next time we'll stay and eat out locally.

If it wasn’t for the blasting horrible TV at the pool I would have rated this higher!! There is zero reason kids need TV at the pool. It made the hole experience there terrible. No kids are playing just zombies watching the TV. The GIANT TV was at obnoxiously loud volume, ON EVERY SPEAKER. You could escape the horrible sounds of diary of a wimpy kid. At hearing level damaging levels. This took this from a luxury stay to a disgusting excuse for entertainment. How was I supposed to sit on a lounge chair when every 5 feet a speaker is blasting at max. Our kids deserve better. I didn’t book a pool stay for TV to be at the pool.
