Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Lodi - Wine Country Area

This motel was affordable and in a convenient location from the highway and for gas and food. The swimming pool was open and clean, the room was clean and the beds were firm and comfortable, and clean! The refrigerator worked very well to keep water cold. We didn't see any bugs in the rooms, there weren't any loud noises outside at night, and the neighborhood felt relatively safe (as someone not from or familiar with the area). I would stay here again if I found myself in Lodi in the future.

Pool was dirty and so was hot tub not hot and jets not really working to feel a massage on the body. Floor was super dirty … to not slip I put a pool towel on the floor of the bathroom… and next day when checking out after they counted the towels they brought out to us for the pool area… they said, one was really dirty and we almost got charged for that pool towel… even though it was put on the floor so we wouldn’t slip being that we are disabled.. and didnt know the floor was that dirty… After I brought it to their attention that the towel was already old used and some what stained. Plus, we did dirty it up on purpose. The front desk lady… said, she wouldn’t charge us this time. I never have gone through something like this… and I have stayed in many much better hotels and have never, never had any problems like this! Also, they don’t have a breakfast, like they say they do!! Only offered coffee THAT’S IT!! Gave us faults expectations. Front desk lady was rude to us… for all these reasons we will never stay there again!! Also, lots of noise by others people gathering near by in others rooms and into the parking lot… at very late hours of the night. The TV remote was not lowering the volume on the TV the night clerk had to come out to our room to fix it … it was super loud.. remotes need replacing seems that they are having trouble with Most of them the clerk advised us. Very annoying… not a good experience!! Very low budget hotel!!! NEVER…NEVER will return there!! Horrible!

Equipment could be updated; maybe add usb outlets. Pool and hot tub needs cleaning

Overall hotel is in very poor condition. Bathroom are terrible bath tub was very dirty exhaust fan was hang out of the fittings and making so much noise bathroom door hook was lien. On my request to change my room and it’s worst than the 1st one. Swimming pool not seems like cleaned in past 6 months. I originally booked for 4 nights and unfortunately I got earlier and ask for early check out and front desk told me there is extra $20.00 fee and earliest he can check me morning 6 am and I was there around 10:00 pm and I pay for extra night. Terrable experience and never recommended to anyone.

The lights were out all around the hotel. Inside worked fine but had to use our cell phones to figure out which room was ours. If you are looking for some "adult company" or med's of various sorts, you will be happy. Surprisingly, inside the room was nice and clean. Fridge and TV worked fine. Lots of noise from the freeway, but I knew that going in.

I had high hopes reading the reviews before booking however my review changed once I stayed there. The room was good, had everything I needed. The pool could use a good cleaning and the hot tub was not functional, one of the reasons I booked. You can hear every noise from the second floor. There was also a homeless person with a loud dog right behind the hotel that barked all night long. Had to call the police the second night just to get some sleep. This is a lesson in you get what you pay for.

Sketchy part of town, hot tub did not work, no plug for tub so no bath either. Room was clean except for the vent cover in the bathroom. Staff was friendly, but check in took a while because the clerk did not seem to know what he was doing.

The only thing I did not like is you have to wait for ice in the morning until 9 pm

Clerk was behind a bullet proof window and doors locked. Couldn’t hear him. Internal door latch lock was broken off from previous door kick down. Hot tub was green

There was nothing unique about the property. It looks like an extended stay establishment for working class people. The pool was filthy. The complementary practice was a joke. Cereal or toast that was the options. And when we try to check in the owner of the property wanted to charge us more saying our cards have been denied And we were on hold with Expedia in excess of 10 minutes. Finally the owner said he would let us go to the room.

I ended up in a smoking room, 10 feet out the door was tweakers living in a van no joke, at night they all come and party on that road and sleep plus a Mexican bar right behind that parties LOUD. 3 am I had to yell at them. They have a fence around property to keep them out and they stayed out but Garbage everywhere inside the fence I had to keep my dogs from trying to eat, the water from faucet was POURING back into wall in bathroom, has to be full of mold. Toilet was also leaking. We got there at 6:30 PM and couldn’t go in our room till 7 because they were still cleaning it after a 15 hour drive day. Front staff was fine. Room was clean.

Square Dancing! And a great place to stay several days is the Econo Lodge in Lodi! The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and everything clean. The room had coffee, closet, frig, counter space. Staff were courteous, aware, and professional. We will be back!!!!

We stayed 5 days. Room floor was dirty from day 1 and they never came to clean it. They did not bring us towels or even toilet paper, we had to ask each day for it and place the trash outside the door for them per their request. The ice machine is locked up when housekeeping leaves which was very inconvenient when returning from a long hot day expecting to relax. Then on checkout, they have someone go to the room and she sent pictures to the front desk showing dirty towels and they tried to charge us extra for them by keeping the deposit. I explained they were dirty from their floor they didn’t clean properly. It was clearly regular dirt on them. We will never go back nor recommend this place to anyone especially with a small child like we had. We would have left but the room was prepaid. The pics are old as it looks very run down in person. Beware!

The location is horrible! Those "!)" ratings are a not true at all! The rooms are old and not repaired. Broken items, dirty walls, and disgusting furniture. I do not recommend.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed had sheets on that were microfiber which caused static electricity and were uncomfortable. The shower had great water pressure.

Room was clean, bed comfortable, room could use upgrading, painting. Large dings on doors, walls, etc. I rated the stay “noisy”. Close to a bar with loud music until 1am. Lots of activity late at night.

Clean comfortable room..service was amazing..only drawback was every tv channel tried to charge me...but they offered to switch for a working tv room

Before arriving they called me and tried to get me to cancel my reservation. I was quite upset but my reservation stood. Not even 10 minutes later he called back to change my room from a non smoking to a smoking room. I did not agree. Then he wanted to know who else is with me , I replied no one else. Why do you want a double Queen room. I replied its what you had available. He again wanted to change my room . I informed him I do not nor have ever smoked and wanted my non smoking room. I arrive and my room reservation was changed. I left a day earlier do to the headache I was receiving . Although really clean some one smoked in it. Also no working tv or microwave. I was hardley in the room since I was attending the Grape & Vines Show.

We booked a no smoking room and when we got there at 3pm the only room they had for us was not a no smoking room. Very loud music played until 10:30 pm and loud talking and drinking in the parking area. The room had very few outlets to power our computers, e-readers, and electric toothbrushes. They were no bedside stands or lights. The only lights in the room was one on the ceiling in the bathroom and the bedroom. The arm chair looked like a cat used the arms as a scraching post, The stuffing was exposed and coming out.

Noisy refrigerator

The bed was very hard. Fridge didn’t work. The pillows are about 12 inch square throw pillows filled with cut up egg crate foam. Noise & drug deal in parking lot, plus someone doing auto repair and two unattended little kids running around. It was just gross. The desk person didn’t have an acceptable substitute available. I checked in and back out within 10 minutes. He did say he’d approve a refund if Expedia calls, but now the phone number is not accepting calls. Expedia promised resolution within 72 hours. We’ll see.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed had sheets on that were microfiber which caused static electricity and were uncomfortable. The shower had great water pressure.

Overall the service was good and it was clean but there was a group throwing a VERY loud party until 5 in the morning and the staff did nothing about it!!! I would not recommend this place for a family.

Customer service was absolutely Terri me. My husband and I arrived around 11:30 pm, and the night time worker was very rude and acted like we were bothering him

The prices are fairly decent for a nights stay. The room I had was nice, nicer than it was when I stayed over two years ago. I don't have an issue with a staff member,I believe he is the Manager. His work ethics SUCK! He was rude and harassed me about wither or not the person who was with me was staying or not. I told him several times that it was only me and my dog staying. There wasn't any mention of a $60 deposit before I booked and prepaid. Then upon leaving the lobby, he asked me again more rudely this time if the other person was staying and once again I said no sir it's just me. I get out the door and start heading towards my room he comes out the door and yells at me that my guest cannot go with me to my room. Excuse me, but when can a guest (especially one who was there just to help me with my luggage and make sure I got to my room safely because I was beyond exhausted and not feeling well not allowed to come visit me) He wasn't staying. Then he says you didn't say you had a dog that's $20 more dollars. I looked at him and said not only did I not mention it twice that I have a dog,but he was in there both times I was in there and he's a service animal you cannot charge me for him. I don't think his attitude and rudeness towards me was right in any way. I didnt do anything wrong to be treated that way. Did I get treated like that because I had no make up on to hide the paleness of my skin or the fact that I don't have any eyebrows or any teeth, all due to an illness?

We stayed here for the weekend because it was cheap. Our room was nice and clean. There were a couple of loitering individuals in the parking lot that made it feel less safe. I didn't like the check-in/out process. It was late at night and we were made to wait outside and talk through a small window, no one was allowed inside the lobby. I wouldn't bring family here. Overall though, the room itself was fine for a short stay.

The staff at the hotel were great and the room was comfortable for a quick stay. And the price was reasonable. The area around it, however, would have made me feel a bit unsafe if I wasn't with my husband.

In the middle of homeless encampment. Tons of unaddressed repairs. Tv not working. Bullet dents in door

Very shady area with drug addicts.

The hotel is a little oasis on a relatively basic street. They don't serve a breakfast but there is a great doughnut shop directly across the street that sells excellent breakfast sandwiches. Crossing the street was a breeze as the street had little traffic. Had an issue with the in-room coffee maker, and the staff replaced it in no time. Staff was very friendly and courteous, and I will definitely stay there again whenever I need to attend the Lodi Grape Festival fairgrounds which is just a few blocks away. Don't let the hotel's surroundings make you shy away; the rooms are clean, huge and a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Lodi!

Everything was as good or better than expected except the “continental breakfast.” There were two options of Drake cereal and two slices of white bread. The coffee was good. They should definitely drop the “free breakfast” from the title; it would still be a good deal.

Liked dogs were accepted. Didn’t like that people don’t clean after their dogs around the property. Expedia said check in was 3p per confirmation and there was continental breakfast both of which were incorrect.

Rooms were clean. But lots of people making noise late into the night. Homeless people around the property. Don’t leave items in vehicles. Somewhat rough area with lots of stores with alcohol, so many drunk people in the area. But the facility is ok. Not any breakfast like stated.

They need to take "breakfast included" off the description, its a boldface lie. False advertising. Everything else was fine, but I picked them because they were the best price with breakfast.

Although the clerk was nice at check in, the rest of the stay was not good. The jacuzzi wasn’t working and the pool was surrounded by overflowing ashtrays and crushed out cigarettes on the ground. A continental breakfast is in their list of amenities but the clerk let us know in the morning that there wasn’t any. Not even coffee. Upon inquiry as to why we were told that the city of Lodi’s health department wont give them a permit! Also the water pressure for the shower was extremely low.
