Microtel Inn & Suites Lodi

Upon arriving, we were unable to discern the location of the entrance. When found, checked in without any problem When the warm and unventillated elevator door finally opened on our floor, we were hit with an even warmer hallway, again unventillated. Our room was adequate for the one night that we stayed, although also warm. I was traveling with my adult son so when went to shower, there was a fan, but you couldn't turn it on, I couldn't very well open the door to allow the steam out so that I could dry off. The floor, being tile, was very slippery, and I wasn't able to see to navigate. I wound up asking my son to wait outside, in the warm hallway, so I could open the door and let the steam out. Thankfully, he obliged me, but had to go outside, in 80-90 degree weather, to sit in our truck with the air conditioner on. When I called him to let him know to come back to the room, his key card didn't work on any of the entry doors, and the one that was closest to where we parked, was blocked by what he thought was a trash can. I was very disappointed that after our 6 hour drive, it was so hard to just get a shower and relax for the evening. I was so disappointed with the accomodations, partially because I am a member of Wyndham Timeshare. Next time, we'll stay at Motel 6.

I guess it’s worth what I paid. Not sure I will be back. Checkin was pleasant and staff is friendly enough. Not so sure about being secure. When we got back from dinner there is a back door that has a reader that I guess you open with your room key. I didn’t need a key because there was a rag that kept the door ajar. This would allow anyone access to the property. 😡

Swimming pool full of garden worms, coffee and juice machine filthy. Rooms filthy Bedding was satisfactory and the mattress was comfortable.

The receptionist is rude and unprofessional, the lounge and pool area are horribly dirty and the breakfast is simply miserable. Everything needs to be reviewed, starting with the staf.

Elevator floor was dirty and the bathtub in my room had a ring of grime on it.,

As soon as we pulled up, we knew it was going to be bad—filthy front windows and a rude, disheveled front desk clerk who looked like he just rolled out of bed. The lobby smelled musty. The second-floor hallway had broken windows, dirty carpet, damaged doors, and reeked of marijuana. Our room smelled awful, was tiny, and felt like a jail cell. The TV was crooked, the mattress dipped in the middle, and the bed skirt dragged on the dirty, damaged floor. The AC barely worked, windows were filthy, and baseboards were falling apart. The bathroom was worse than a gas station’s—filthy toilet, worn sink, and lukewarm water that lasted under 10 minutes. Walls were paper thin—we heard everything all night. I paid $40 online for late checkout but never got confirmation. After waiting 15+ minutes at the desk so I asked what was the delay, the front desk said he forgot his portal password and stepped away to call the manager. I was then told 2pm was the latest, not 3pm as advertised. They couldn’t even charge my card without swiping again. Never again. Stay far away.

This hotel needs a lot of maintenance and up keep. Outlets were old and didn’t hold. A/c did not work at 100% its capacity. Room was very musty. Hallways had badly stained carpet and window was broken. The pool was filthy. No pool towels. When I asked front desk they only gave me 2 towels for 4 people. Room had only 2 bath towels, when I asked front desk again they asked for the used towels , I had mentioned to him that we haven’t used them but that we needed 4 for 4 people. Horrible experience.

Today was better. The rear door is now secure because someone removed the rag that kept the back door open. I would give this place 3 stars, it’s a place to sleep but I don’t think I will stay here again.

$100 usd deposit that I haven’t received back yet 😡, front desk guy didn’t wanted to give me a receipt he said Expedia will send me the receipt, parking was under renovation so I had to park on the back but the back doors doesn’t open from outside! needs a really good cleaning.

Filthy in every way. Pillows had visible stains. Shower curtain had mildew. Hair all over room and bathroom. Holes in the walls. Spiders and bugs everywhere. Just filthy!!

Poor condition and found dead bugs in bath tub.

It was so bad I was only able to stay for a few hours out of the two nights there. I stayed with a friend and checked out through my phone cause I didn’t want to have to go back in there. There were roaches on the fridge, droppings in the fridge, microwave, even on the duvet. The tub and a thick dark line of dirt/scum and was just so bad I couldn’t stay. I would recommend no one goes here and a health inspection is needed.

The motel was dirty and it stinks not sure how to explain the smells but they weren't good.

Dirty, mold all around shower, smelled of cury and smoke. Toilet seat broken, room was half painted, baseboards filthy.

We were put on the 3rd, when we stepped off the elevator it was so hot, the windows in the hallway were open so I immediately assumed the a/c wasn’t working. The room was FILTHY! Especially the bathroom. We complained to the front desk & he said he could switch rooms but no refund. Mind you, he was very hostile from the get go. The 2nd room was much smaller & even more dirty than the first one. I requested a refund again which was denied once again. Also, The people next door were very loud all night. Don’t let the pictures fool you, DO NOT STAY HERE. Never again will I book this hotel.

Room was dirty. Toothpaste on bathroom door, stains on blankets, dirty sock found under bed, slimy residue on floors, counters dirty.

This was super gross. The pillow cases had unwashed food grease and hair grease. The shower head had mildew/mold build up. And the sink looked like it was one good hand washing from hitting the floor. The price was too high for such low conditions.

The phone in the room did not work, it wasn't even plugged in. The inside handle on our bathroom door was coming off. There were no plugs anywhere to plug our phones in to charge them, we ended up unplugging the hair dryer in the bathroom so we could plug our charger in there. The sink wouldn't drain properly. The room had a weird odor to it. The carpets in the hallway were absolutely disgusting, there's just no nice thing to say about them. The doors going in and out were filthy from the ground up to the glass. The parking lot had litter all throughout it. All through the night you could hear people having sex in their room with all the noises coming from it and then you could hear all the noises from the other room as well. Nothing quiet going on around there at all. The elevator made the most horriblest scariest noises making you think you wouldn't make your next stop. The odors all throughout the hotel were so gross I wanted to vomit on several occasions. If I honestly had the money, I would have left and stayed at the other hotel nearby that looked much better and safer for me and my family but because we weren't expecting another night on the road, I was stuck with what I could afford. Knowing what I know now, I will honestly never stay here ever again. I'm not one for giving bad reviews, but this one unfortunately needed it.

The hotel staff was nice but the hotel needs to be updated. Broken door to our room didn’t close without significant effort, AC/heat didn’t work, old and damaged carpet and other infrastructure, etc.

Convenient location...a few dining options. The room need a few touch ups on the black out curtains were holy and in the bathroom there were screw holes next to the toilet paper holder. Also, the towel rack seemed to be loose.

I do not want to criticize this hotel because I am a very picky person. I was not expecting luxury but the place is I underwhelming and it needs a redo. I absolutely hate the smell of chlorine (bleach?) on my sheets. The whole room smelled like chlorine. My pillow was pretty bad. Tv did not work. I think staff was kind and place has lots of potential.

The check in staff was lovely, and very helpful. The room was cleam amd spacious. The entire property is lacking maintenance. The luggage cart was held togetherness with tape, and every screw was loose. The sink took 5 minutes to drain, so was really dirty. So did the shower. Some basic maintenance on a regular basis would bring this property back to life. The hallways were very noisy all night, with people screaming and lauhhing. Walls are thin so you hear EVERYTHING.

Late check-in on a Friday = no parking.. lucky as am though I snatched up a spot when some guests left. Also, the walls are very thin and room beds are back to back, so no, its not an earthquake… in and out access from side work, elevator good, but hotel is needing an rip and replace upgrade asap. Price fair one day, oh-hell no the next. Friendly staff.

Good location in Lodi. However, this Suite is in direct violation to Handicapped Accessible Regional Area National Laws and Regulations. General Manager George was a rude male chauvinist, unwilling to refund a poor young injures widow.

Violate privacy gave room number when asked not to

Honestly for the price i would 100% go again. Staff was Super super friendly, had no problem with us extending our stay or letting me into the room twice after i checked out because i forgot stuff lol. Thank you!

Rude front desk manager. When I asked to speak to his manager he made a racial slur at me and lied and said he owns the place so if I had a problem too bad. Also, there is a LOT of prostitution there. It’s right off of a major highway and next to multiple truck stops so that’s probably why. Parking lot had broken down cars that looked like they had been there for months. Cigarette burns in bedding. Carpet was moist and sticky. But if you are looking for a deal it’s cheap. That’s the only good thing I can say about it.

It's very quiet and the staff is really nice and helpful. Very attentive with your needs and requests. Would highly recommend this hotel.

SOMETIMES MY ROOM WASN'T CLEANED. I HAD TO REQUEST IT IN SPANISH. ON 7/31 I ASKED FOR IT TO BE CLEANED. IN SPANISH. THEY DIDN'T CLEAN IT.!

When we arrived, the front desk clerk was apparently across the street, so we had a long wait to get checked in even though there was no line. Several times we saw people waiting for the front desk clerk as we passed through over our 2 day stay with nobody to help them commenting on it. Our room was tiny. The outlets were oddly placed with one side of the bed having no outlets near it. As for the bed itself, it sagged, had noisy springs, was cheap construction. Even cheap motel beds are more comfortable than this one. There were no separate lamps near the bed with the only room light being controlled by a switch near the door. The TV was located by the ceiling as it was placed on top of the closet. On our last night the entire hall had probably a half dozen smelly trash bags strewn about, near the elevator, the vending machines, and several doors. These bags were still there in the morning. The continental breakfast was a mixed bag. The country gravy was okay, but looters could have used the biscuits to shatter windows. The coffee was just nasty. (The waffles were pretty good though) As for the bathroom, the bathtub stopper didn't work, the sink stopper was missing, and during our last morning, for a short period of time, the sink stopped producing water altogether. Next time I'm in Lodi, I'll definitely be trying a different hotel.

The location was good for people traveling on I-5. The entrance is not clearly marked. Our room was dirty and in need of many repairs. The bed was comfortable.

The room was super clean and it was located by a grocery store and a dollar store.

Great location... Quick EV charging station across the street at the gas station.

It is close to I-5 and there are restaurants nearby.

The location is easy to get to from the freeway. And there is a gas station and restaurant right acroos the street. Its a 4 star property and location.

It was convenient and close to my kids school

I have been to this hotel two. The staff is polite and helpful. A good basic hotel near the highway

The hotel was conveniently located, Minutes from where I needed to go. Easy check in and check out.. bed was comfortable, room was quiet. Breakfast had limited options but was decent.

The place was terrible. The area was horrendous loud noises at night drug addicts prostitution you name it. It was there the worst place ever that should be blown up and knocked off the map.

I genuinely do enjoy this hotel and the staff that is there but there is usually someone on a street bike anywhere from 11pm-1am racing up and down the long and straight road loud as can be with no care in the world for people and kids trying to get a good nights sleep and it usually lasts about an hour back and fourth

This hotel does not meet up to Wyndham’s expectations and what their clientele expect from a Wyndham hotel. It is definitely family ran, and there are policies put into place that make absolutely no sense. For instance, you cannot take a simple yogurt and bagel back to your room, you must eat in their dining area, which is very small and has two tables For at the same time are you kidding me is condescending. The hotel itself is in ill repair and very dirty.

When I went to get the complimentary breakfast, I was told food was not allowed in the rooms, as someone with autism, eating in front of people can be difficult, after making two whole plates I left both on the down stairs table because I was not allowed to take them with me or have food in the room, my room has a fridge, microwave and sink, this is extremely rude and inconsiderate

I liked the location. Check in was very slow. I had to wait about 15 min. While the front desk clerk was on the phone and computer, and there was another person ahead of me who waited even longer. There were 3 people at the front desk in the morning but the breakfast area was not being looked after. No napkins, messy counters, no biscuits to go with the gravy. While I am on a roll, the directions for the waffle machine were above the batter dispenser above eye level and with cups sitting in front of the directions.

Our phone in the room did not work, the refrigerator made noise all the time, and the microwave stop working. We did not get full size bath towels. We felt safe going out side to go somewhere by us, we were able to have a good breakfast, maney options.

The breakfast was not up to par compared to other similar places. The juice machine was broken and they did not have a backup plan. Terrible. Just terrible
