Quite area, felt safe easy check in/out. Convenient reasable prices.

It was great that they have EV charging, but not great that they charge a high flat rate of $25 to use it. Most hotels don't charge at all, but this high flat rate meant that, since my car was half-full, it would have been much more expensive than other methods to charge it. $25 is high but tolerable if your car is empty (which will use $10-$12 of electricity at retail rates) but $25 for $5 of electricity overdoes it, and that's a shame because hotel charging is otherwise highly desired.

Nice clean modern room and bath. Plenty of well-lit parking at night. Friendly front desk staff. Good value.

Cyndie & a nice gentleman checked me into the hotel. He gave me some fantastic restaurant recommendations & after a 20 mile bike ride, the hamburger at Eddie's Grill across the street was delicious. He also gave me some ideas for things to see the following day. At his recommendation, I went and saw La Purisima, the mission in Lompoc. It was the most restored mission I've ever seen. It was wonderful. I went on a two hour tour with the Park Ranger and got a real idea of how life was back then. Parking was easy and right in front of my room. The breakfast was good with an egg choice, sausage, many choices for bread, juices, and coffee. The room was super comfortable clean and the bed was nice and firm. I had a pleasant day at the Inn at Highway 1 and we're definitely return. The staff and the entire experience were very pleasant.

Staff was accommodating to us arriving late and arranged for a key to be left for us in a lock box since the front desk would be closed at the time of our arrival. Breakfast was just meh—pastries were left out and dried out. Maybe they should be put in a covered container? The room did not have black out curtains which affected our sleep. The TV didn’t work initially—we had to figure out how to re-enter the correct WiFi password to make the internet TV actually connect. Parking was easy and secure. The surrounding area is sleepy and quiet—it was a relaxing weekend.

Rooms look to be newly renovated with clean and modern interior. Walls/ceiling are thin as they didn't dampen out much noise. Beds were comfy. Only stayed for single night along our road trip route. Chose it mainly for its two Tesla EV chargers and decent room rate. Very convenient to plug in overnight and leave with a full battery in the morning. However, there was a usage fee that was never mentioned when I called to request for room near it and upon check-in when attendant had to turn it on. It was late and dark when I plugged in, didn't realize until morning a small sticker on the charger indicating $25/night fee. Five years of EV ownership and many stays at accommodations that had EV chargers available. This was the first one that was not free for guests. Not only did they not tell me so, but it's not listed anywhere on their Expedia page either. On top of that, the fee is a flat rate no matter how little or lot you charge!

The room need a more thorough cleaning, stains and torn blanket, stain towels, dusty cabinet and floor, broken bathroom faucet.

Room was clean, staff was nice. Very quiet.

First room we went to had hair in the tub and on the bedding and then when we pulled back the sheets it had blood on the sheets. Went to the front desk and they moved rooms for us with no issues

Beds had bed bugs :( My husband & kids were bitten badly :( thinge=s were very clean etc but unfrtunately bed bugs were there :(

I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews and the pictures. We were severely disappointed. We had limited options because it was graduation week and everything was sold out. At first we thought it looked decent when we went into the room. The bed was decent and it looks somewhat "newer" but still old. Then we started looking around and there were literally spiders everywhere. We had to get SO many in the 48 hours we were here. It was nasty and we felt gross. There was cracks around the door frame so they were coming in from there. They were all over the walls, the ceiling, in the bathroom... The floors had been somewhat cleaned but there was clumps of dirt and hair left behind which was gross. The sink was cracked and the one light bulb was out. There is no cable, just some weird free tv that came with the tv and it only has a couple shows from decades ago that you\'ve probably never heard of. Then there was the curtains - When we went to bed and turned off the lights the entire room lit up like we hadn\'t even turned the lights off. The curtains might as well not have even been there because they didn\'t do anything. There was so much light coming in from outside that we couldn\'t sleep. Then, the walls and ceiling are SO thin that you can hear everything going on in all the rooms around you and above you. We got "lucky" and had people above us that stomped around at 4am nonstop for 3 hours both mornings. Zero sleep, gross from spiders, we just wanted out asap!

I booked this hotel for one night. It was clean and well maintained. The hotel room was clean, spacious and updated. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. It was a 25min drive to Solvang. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean room, but no rugs to give it softness and warmth. Technically everything worked and was clean, but it felt a little stark. Ants in the bathroom on day two. Bathroom vent was covered in dust. No tissues in tissue box. First day housekeeping didn't show up until late afternoon and by then we were napping so we passed on a cleaning. Last day they knocked to clean around 930am, before we were even checked out. On checkout day housekeeping should wait until folks are gone, not knock while we're still there. There was also a shady 911 domestic violence incident in our room next door we had to call the police. Maybe not Management's fault but it was two rooms of people and screaming and yelling at 2 & 3am.

Clean and spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent staff (shoutout to Stacy in housekeeping!), good breakfast, convenient location.

Hotel was old and floor was sticky, mattress was wet with urine, ended up leaving same night of our stay there, so we didn’t spend night there, trying to get our money back, night manager was very embarrassed and very apologetic and offered another room, but my husbands night clothes were wet and had no other pjs, we ended up driving home

the hotel boasts it has sound proof rooms which is an absolute untrue statement we were in room 100 next to the stairs and the front of the hotel we heard every single car, truck, person walking by, kitchen staff getting ready for breakfast. the room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. a fridge and microwave were a good asset. lots of places to eat around the hotel and free parking outside the room was berry convenient.

Overall, I was impressed. It was a very affordable price so I did not have many expectations. But the property was newly renovated, rooms were nice, breakfast had more options than expected. The property did a great job communicating and asking if anything was needed. The only somewhat con was, the hotel has a long hallway and you can hear everything, so it was a bit noisy at night. But overall, for the price, a great value and a really comfortable place to stay.

Our visit was nice. Room was adequate. Ceiling fan is a plus. Bed is comfortable. Great convenience to have hot breakfast available. Would be nice to have fresh fruit as an option. (Suggestion) Only disappointment would be the TV , WiFi is always buffering, we were unable to complete any show or movie we tuned in to view. Very unfortunate considering we were there for three nights. We will definitely return and also highly recommend Florinos Mexican Restaurant across the street.

To be honest, stay at the Hilton or other nice hotel, pay the difference, it will be worth it. The bed was lumpy and sagging, except the middle felt likr a doard. The room was goid size, but I always felt dirty and the curtains DO NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY FOR PRIVACY! I'D NEVER LET MY WIFE STAY THERE WITH OR WITHOUT ME!

Receptionist was fantastic and rooms were newly renovated and very clean. Super comfortable beds and a good price for the area.

Stayed here once before and had a great experience, so expected the same. Nope. Started with walking into our room and finding it was still occupied by other people. Got another room. Sat down on the bed and it partially collapsed because several of the slats in the frame had fallen out. Fixed that for them. That might not have happened if the bed had a sturdy frame like in their pictures - instead, it was practically a futon frame. Cheap cheap cheap. Went to turn on the TV and it didn't work because their Wi-Fi was not working. So no TV, no internet. Girl at desk kept saying the TV should work without Wi-Fi, but that was obviously not true - when it finally came back up several hours later, we had to literally sign the TV back into the network using the same general password. Service went out again in the morning and kept going on and off. Front desk now acted like it was just a weak signal and offered to move us to a room closer to the router. This was absolutely not the problem - when it was working, the signal was nice and strong. We were in Lompoc to watch a rocket launch from Vandenberg. It got delayed a day and we would have stayed another night, but this was ridiculous. We were going to use this place as our rocket-watching base, but will have to find somewhere else. Oh, one positive - great shower!

I had a terrible time sleeping, I could hear the upstairs guest walking back and forth until way past midnight, every step they took sounded like a stampede. You could also hear everything outside (cars, motorcycles, etc) pretty loudly. Other than that, room was clean, breakfast was great, good shower and water pressure, etc.

We were traveling for over 8 hours so by the time we got to the hotel, there was nobody at the front desk to greet you. I had already opted for a digital key, but it wouldn't work. I called/texted the number and the manager was extremely rude and condescending. Kept yelling at my husband that he wouldn't talk to him since room was in my name, yet he kept texting him back asking if we got into our room. My digital key would not work so he told me how to get the master room card key from the front area, but not before the manager kept yelling profanities at my husband telling him he can have us thrown out and have my husband arrested. All because by this time it was 1am and we were irritated about not being able to get into our room. If I knew I would have such an issue with a digital key, I would have asked them to leave a room key but since I never had this issue before, I didn't think to. The icing on the cake after finally getting into our room and falling asleep was housekeeping banging on our door at 9am. If you go, just beware of the manager as he didn't seem like he wanted to help and kept making it out to be our fault the digital key wasn't working. The harassing comments were also extremely uncalled for when we were only trying to ask for help. I would never stay here again just because of him.

The checkin was the only problem. Check in is posted at 3, but when I got there at 315 the door was locked and a sign said they'd be back at 4. I had been traveling all day and wanted to get into my room, so I called them texted the number posted on the door. All I got was a text saying someone would be back at 4. I ended up having to wait in the parking lot for 45 minutes until someone showed up. Very frustrating. Otherwise the rooms are clean, quiet, the parking lot is clean and no signs of iffy folks hanging around out there. Bedding was very comfortable and no signs of mildew like I usually see even in the name brand hotels. Close to shopping, dining, and easy drive to Solvang or the beach. Despite the check in flub, its a great place and I'd definitely stay there again.

Everything was ok, but DID NOT LIKE the self check-in machine

I had a terrible experience with the staff. The housekeeper and front desk person started banging and shouting really hard on my door at 11:06 AM, just 6 minutes after check out time while I was just getting up to start vacating. I told them to give me a few minutes. Exactly 10 minutes later, the housekeeper again started banging loudly like they were cops after a criminal. I was in the restroom and had to come out without flushing or washing my hands. When I complained, guest services did not apologize, instead said that I needed to inform the manager. Till now I have not heard back or even heard an apology.

It is understaffed. Our room was not cleaned because the one housekeeper didn’t have time. The bathroom flooded when showering and no one was available to clean it or even provide rags & extra towels. There was only ONE staff person for the entire place. No one available for early morning or overnight issues. The room is ample but set up awkwardly without enough shelving and with closet space in the way of the bathroom dressing area. No guides available in the rooms for how to use appliances, etc. or how to reach staff. We won’t stay here again.

I booked two rooms at Inn at Highway 1 through Expedia, where it clearly stated that payment would only be collected at check-in. This worked perfectly since my mother-in-law and I planned to split the cost. However, on the morning of check-in, I noticed both charges had already been applied to my credit card. When I brought this up at the front desk, the woman working there was extremely rude and dismissive, repeatedly telling me, “I can’t help you with this, my friend,” without even attempting to resolve the issue. This is not how a guest should be treated. Thankfully, when I asked to speak with her supervisor, the supervisor came out, corrected the billing issue immediately, and even apologized for the staff member’s attitude. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. When we entered our room, we found the bed sheets dirty, with curly hairs on them — a clear sign that they hadn’t been changed after the previous guest. Completely unacceptable. The hotel also advertises a full breakfast until 9 AM, but if you arrive after 8, most of the food is gone. On our first morning, we even saw staff leaving to buy more eggs because they had run out, leaving many guests without food. Overall, my experience at this hotel was very disappointing. Between the poor customer service, unclean rooms, and unreliable breakfast, I cannot recommend staying here.

Nice staff, clean rooms, The breakfast was limited in their offerings. The property seems safe but beyond that there were some vagrants about the area.

Perfectly located for all the activities we had planned. Clean, had everything we needed in the room, very friendly staff.

The Inn at Highway 1 was a great place to stay at an affordable price. It was very clean and modern throughout, and the breakfast was good. The people were friendly. There were restaurants and stores very close by, so it was very convenient. If I go back to Lompoc, I'll definitely stay there again!

For the price it is a very great value. Sits in between major tourist attractions starting Lompoc, Pismo Beach, Hearst Castle and everything Highway 101 has to offer. Tons of restaurants and takeouts near by.

Located in a very convenient park of Lompoc, close to food and movie theatre. Neighborhood had some sketchy folks meandering about.

Room was clean and cute. Bathroom was exceptionally huge. Location was good. Mexican restaurant across the street was yummy. The downfall was the halfway house directly across the road.

The giant shower in room 119 was amazing with great water pressure!! But it semi-flodded the bathroom. Nothing I couldn't fix with towels, but a nuisance. Decent hotel with a tiny breakfast room that you can barely move around in.

They can keep their boutique hotels! Loud door slamming in the corridor. Annoying tinny music from 214 both at night and next morning and loud people Manager locks himself in check-in area at night. The room rate included complimentary breakfast from 7:30 till 9:30am. We reached the lobby for breakfast at around 9am and the hash browns tray was empty. I went to the front desk to request for some hash browns and the clerk said that he’ll go check. Minutes later the server maid came to me and said that they ran out of hash browns. It’s only 9am and breakfast 2 trays were emptied! Added the heater in the room was so loud that I couldn’t sleep well. In the middle of the night kept waking up by the heater noise. With the type of room rate I paid the amenities, heater, I received was like the standard of lower end motels, not worth the money spent!

The hotel is quiet, though it is next to a highway, as the traffic on the highway is fairly low. Hotel is clean, well supplied with necessities in the room. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast is a real surprise. It offers scrambled eggs and sausages with good quality. The breakfast greatly exceeded my expectation for such a highway inn.

Room was clean and relatively quiet. There were several truck drivers staying there at the time who left early. Unfortunately, breakfast ends at 8am. We arrived at 745 and while most things were already gone they did offer to cook us some fresh eggs.
