Hotel was nice, clean and location was great. The issue I had was with the hotel bar. We ordered two regular size 10oz Margaritas at the bar. They charged us $24 each. TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS EACH!!!! That was crazy. Total cost for 2 smaller size 10oz Margaritas was $58 dollars including tip. How CRAZY is that!! 1/3 of my hotel stay on 2 miserable margaritas. I will never set foot in that hotel bar ever again!!

Wonderful stay. The staff at the front counter upon my arrival were excellent. Gave me some bottled water and got me into my room early. Great workout room. Great spa and pool. Pool may be slightly heated even. Room was well outfitted with nice supplies.

Parking was a challenge for us as the key card they gave us to open the gate will not work. We had to call the hotel several times to help us with the gate. Overall we had a wonderful stay and appreciate the complimentary water.

My face was swollen after the first day because of either the feather pillows or the bedding, and I missed some of the event I was attending. After they changed the pillows and the bedding I didn’t have issues We also found ants in the bedroom during our whole stay. For the cost this was not a good experience and I wouldn’t stay here again

The property was extremely clean. Smelled very good from the moment we walked in. Food was good. Staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and requests. The pool was nice as well as hit tub. The property, as a whole, is nice. The area is great too. The rooms need some renovating, though. The carpet and room smelled like feet. The carpet was spotty and worn. The furniture is oddly placed - we had a couch and chairs and a table just inconveniently placed, it made it hard to get to the window to see out. They need that hotel dude who tells people what to change up - they need some significant room updates, especially for the price point. The bathroom was stellar, though. Also, the included amenities are great. Another odd thing - the WiFi should be protected, not just public. I questioned if we were even connecting to the right network and that’s terrifying in this day and age. I would stay here again, but I really wish they would replace the carpet in the rooms. Oh, a couple more things: the bath gel was basically water, so that was weird; the market downstairs had some weird food, like it was microwaved with no taste, I was very disappointed with that. However, the hotel is so close to decent food so just walk somewhere else, don’t bother eating here.

My wife and I were staying here for our Wedding and Rehearsal night. The first night I got there the sink was leaking when turned the water on the sink, which is fine they can fix the next day, but there was a couple bugs I killed on the cover and didn't think much of it at the time in the dark. The morning after our Wedding in the day my wife noticed the bed bug and I killed it and there was blood on the sheets from squishing it. I let them know at the front desk when leaving and received apologies. I have been trying to get a hold of the GM of this Long Beach location, but haven't heard back. I doubt I will receive a response, I hope they burned the mattress in the room and sheets. Just super frustrating when I thought this was one of the top hotels in the area and then it's not clean.

My only complaint is the internet they provide. They have certain sites blacklisted. Like Paramount+ When we got back to our room from being out all day I wanted to put some StarTrek on site is blocked on all of our devices that were on the wifi. Ended up having to use a VPN to gain access.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. The room we had on the 15th floor had a great view of the Queen Mary and the former building that housed Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose aircraft. The room was comfortable. However, the king bed we had was well worn in that the mattress had seen better days and was not very comfortable. Both my wife and I felt like we were sleeping in a "hot dog bun" due to the broken down nature of the mattress. The property is well maintained and the staff are exceptional.

Spent the weekend here for a 2 day music festival. Hotel had extra elevators to accommodate late night guests returning to hotel. Parking easy. Convenient to lots of restaurants and shops. Market open late for food and snacks. Great pool area. Thought we had an in room fridge but turns out it's only a "cooler". Beds comfortable but walls a little thin as we could here neighbors.

Terrible experience, first room we were given was dirty , folded up towels and sheets everywhere, called front desk , told to come back down to be reassigned room , did that , apologies were given , was told parking would be comped (paying for parking is already poor taste) , that didn't happen , still charged for parking. Ya live ya learn. Simply won't stay at Hyatt's , no biggie.

Lady at check Debbie in was extremely unhelpful. Arrived past midnight and received our room past 3AM. Reservation was made under my husband’s name who arrived after me. I managed to change with Expedia the name on the reservation to my name. Received instant notification via email of the name change and she still did not want to give me the room stating Expedia did not send the changes to the hotel. I contacted Expedia again and they resent the changes. She still stated she had not received it even though I was showing the email from Expedia with the reservation under my name. Traveling with kids under 5 makes the situation worst. I do not recommend the hotel. And definitely the staff and management needs better training for this type of unique situations to better accommodate guests.

Nice hotel right next to the convention centre. Walking distance to everything, the beach is just up the road, and there’s a ton of dining options just across the walkway, as well as the aquarium. Probably the best located hotel in that part of long beach. All the staff say hello and are really friendly. Will deffo stay again.

To our surprise upon checking in we were told the property has no room service of any type, no lounge or anywhere to grab a quick meal or breakfast. They offer vending machines and a small area for purchase of premade sandwiches and soft drinks. Very expensive with no services to offer. They are happy to refer the guest to surrounding restaurants with a 10 to 15% offer.

Customer service, bomb. Price, you get what ya pay for. Food was terrible and for the price we paid for it, YIKES! Good thing food is right across the street. Everything but the market/bar. The location for my trip was top notch. Couldn’t have been better. I wish I took Pictures. It was very nice.

I was very satisfied with the numerous charging ports available for various devices. However, I was a bit disappointed with the restaurant on the first floor — the food didn’t quite live up to its price. The teriyaki chicken, in particular, had an unpleasant smell and taste. On the other hand, the room was very clean, the network speed was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This was a great place to stay. I would have given 5 stars but the breakfast buffet is an overpriced free breakfast from other places. I can’t believe it was $28 for an adult and $14 for kids to eat runny eggs and make your own waffle. Definitely get breakfast from the marketplace not the buffet.

Excellent room, as quoted, high up room reservation, overlooking the Marina & Queen Mary as requested. Room clean and nice setup. Only stayed 1-Night so we wouldn’t be late for our cruise next day!! Fun times… Only negative, NO ROOM SERVICE…! Nice variety of restaurants within walking distance. Just a little surprising no room service at a higher end establishment!! Great place to stay… we will stay here again in the future!!

The area and place was great but unfortunately I did get insect bites from the room. Don't believe it was bed bugs but since it's dog friendly it may have been flees or something similar. Dealing with several bites at the moment but other than that staff and everything is there for you like food, drinks etc. Parking seemed easy. Would be a 5 star without the insect bites.

The overall ambience of the Maya is very nice although the elevator in our building did not work the entirety of our stay and we were on the fifth floor so it made it very inconvenient. Also staff was unprofessional.
