The rooms were lovely and clean. The pool area was lovely as well. I did not like the extremely narrow parking spaces and the additional money charged to my card for parking. I could not open my door without dinging the car next to me. Ten dollars a day to park at a hotel that I paid 200.00 a night to stay at and the spots were horrible. To me this is unacceptable

The Cove Hotel property has character. It does not feel like a cookie cutter hotel at all. The pool area is well thought out and there is a nice fire-pit seating area as well.

I had an incredible experience. The staff was all very friendly, the facilities create a fun and hospitable environment that feels like one can relax and escape every day stresses. It was wonderful to be able to get food and drinks on site for very reasonable prices.

Great pool area. Food and bar on premises. The staff was very helpful in telling us about local areas to eat and see such as harbor with view of the Queen Mary. Our room had a balcony overlooking pool area. This was a stop over when leaving on a cruise.

Even though Expedia said all fees and taxes were included I had to pay an additional $ 26 to park a car. I was told I'd get a $20 food and beverage credit but I actually got two free beers. The facility, itself, was fine.

This property was very nice they have the games by the pool area. Lots of lounge chairs around the heated pool. Also everyone was very friendly and the hotel was very clean.

I just don't understand if you have one job, in this case, cleaning, how an it not be perfect? Actually found long hairs in the shower and apparently tje aftermath of someone who had shaved in the bathroom sink. There were tiny little red hairs all over the bathroom sink and faucet. Stains that look like grease on the floor. And the light switch in the bathroom had a what I like to think was a dirt stain on it (it was brown and I had to wipe it off), again, gross. The room hadn't been dusted at all, dust was everywhere. For the price I paid, I would not recommend this place.

From the outside the hotel looks dated. The inside was nicer. The staff were very friendly and nice. Our room had a terrible smell. The staff tried to help. They gave us a full can of Febreze and we sprayed it down. There was a couch so dirty and rundown we were afraid to even put our luggage on it (see pic). The bathroom was clean. We ate at the little pub in the lobby. Again the staff were great. The food was typical Pub food and ok. The highlight of this hotel was the staff. Overall I probably would not stay here again

There was hair in the towels and bedding that wasn’t mine. The shower floor was very dirty. The carpet in the hallway specifically by my room was littered with crumbs and when I entered the lobby to check in, there was a swarm of like 5 flys clustered in the entryway making me walk out of the way to get to the desk to avoid walking through them.

This hotel’s overall condition is good. I like the idea “house keeping on request “. Very eco friendly. We found our bedsheets was dirty. It looked like somebody used the bed and didn’t change the sheets. No stuff can change in the evening, so front desk staff gave us a set of clean sheets, and we changed by ourselves.

This older property is reasonably well maintained. Our room was spacious, though sparsely appointed. Bathroom was huge, with new, modern plumbing fixtures. Room appeared clean, but the linoleum (faux tile design) was dirty, in need of a thorough mopping. We walked around in stockings, then saw how dirty our socks became. Next day, after showering, the soles of our bare feet we're blackened by walking around just a little bit as we dried off and got dressed. Had to wash them again before putting on socks and shoes. Breakfast croissant sandwiches, which we bought from the bar/restaurant were much better than average. All in all, a decent place to spend a night or two on a budget.

The room was clean very comfortable. The only thing, it was a bit dark for my taste. We were at street level so we didn't open the blinds and had the lights on, even with the lights on it was dim. Over all I would definitely stay here again. Staff was extra friendly.

This place is fabulous. It has a very welcoming lobby and bar. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The coffee bar is well stocked and if you need anything just ask and they will promptly get it. We will definitely stay here every time we come to Long Beach

Good place to stay in Long Beach. Very spacious rooms and due to the layout of the hotel a bit of an oasis even though right next to a busy mall and street. Noisy air conditioner and to be a true luxury stop the bedding needs an upgrade. Pool music at 9am saturday not appreciated.

I requested in advance a room away from the elevator. The desk staff acknowledged my request and gave me a room next to the elevator and a vaulted ceiling over the lobby. The guy told me that my card was declined 3 times. It was not. The other manager came over and said the error was their machine and it had been happening a lot. I finally got in my room to sort it out later and was unable to sleep that night due to the noise. I checked out 2 days early and ended up having to switch hotels. I will say the room was very clean and comfortable. The manager apologized to me the next day and was very friendly.

First time to stay here and it was great! From my first experience with Jasmine checking in to ordering coffee in the morning everyone was very kind and helpful! The rooms were fresh and clean and the shower was great! Makes me wanna come back to Long Beach just because of the experience we encountered at the hotel! Thank you!!!

From beginning to end it was the most terrible experience with a hotel I’ve ever had. From check in with a new girl who didn’t know what she was doing and there all alone, to the smelly dirty room, hair in the sick and shower, fridge not plugged in, then to end this quick stay with the worst “GM” in history. The Cove Hotel should be embarrassed by having Deone employed let alone running the place. God forbid there is something that you’re not satisfied about. This guy has the worst communication skills and really needs to attended a customer service seminar. He also needs to learn how to speak to paying guests. He hides behind texts and won’t talk to you face to face. Was at the hotel less than 24 hours. NEVER RECOMMEND, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

My stay at the cove hotel was okay. But the older guy at the front desk was very mean and nasty. He had no customer service skills at all. I was trying to tell him that they already charged my card and he wanted to charge it again and said he didn't care about any of that just swipe your card.

Great customer service. I had stayed the week prior for one night, I thought I had lost my hair straightener and when I checked back in for my second stay, front desk staff handed me my straightener, i didn’t lose it I left it at the hotel and the staff put aside for me

We stayed 1 night before heading on a cruise. We picked this hotel because we called and they said we could park for $10 a night during the cruise due to no parking at the port. The next morning the gentleman informed us we should not have booked through Hotels.com. I explained we called previous to booking and he said we were misinformed, that the park and cruise package can only be booked directly through the hotel at the time of booking. Then had the nerve to call our room to ask us to go down there to charge us an extra $10 for the 8 hours we were there which I thought I paid when I checked in. The room floors were filthy. I did not realize it until I took off my flip flops and walked across the room to grab my toiletries to shower. They put us in a room with a handicap accessible shower. Unfortunately the water started to leak out of the shower after 2 minutes. The floor became very slick and dangerous. We’ll never stay there again.

Staff was very friendly and professional. Got the room last minute after our wedding and asked James what he could do in a pinch to set the room up nice and he and the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us in such short notice. Decorated with roses pedals origami towel swans and a cute elephant with delicious cooks and two complementary drinks at the bar. Would have love to spend more days there as the patio/pool area were very relaxing. Would definitely come again next time we are in town.

What we liked: Friendly staff and good customer service What we did not like : It is located in a local commercial area with stores but nothing exceptional, no good restaurants around. It was not really near to our port and both taxi or Uber take some time in reaching the hotel so request your ride to the port with time. This hotel is convenient for spending a day after a long flight before taking a cruise if you are not planning to visit the LA main attractions. Our room had a good size and was on first floor next to the pool. We recommend visiting the tourist area of Long Beach which is near by car and enjoy good restaurants, the Aquarium, the mall, the lighthouse and good views.

The staff in the morning, at the bar/cafe was delightful! Bartender st night was sweet but when you spend $150 on drinks and don't get a buzz you are pouring way too light. Disappointed they did not have complimentary coffe, tea and water in lobby. You had to pay $2 a cup of cofee, no refills...that is insane! Next time will walk across to McDonalds. Management..it is the details and small thing's people notice. Rooms were large and clean. Pool was nice.

They have obviously made a concerted effort to update this property. The rooms are comfortable. The shower was spacious and the bathroom was nice. The staff is very friendly. The only downside is that breakfast is available but options are very limited. It's more of a cafe than restaurant and takes a long time.

The rooms are nicely outfitted. We loved the pool area and our patio off the room. The landscaping was lush and the lobby was welcoming. Access to the bar and eatery were nice. Prices were really fair!! The front desk person, forgive my memory on her name, was so accommodating! I wish the area had more sit down restaurants close by, but after eating so much on the cruise basic fare was fine.

The staff was very friendly, we were getting on a cruise for my mother in laws 80th Birthday, so we booked 8 rooms everyone was happy with their room and the service, we sat in bar area everyone friendly, made sure all our needs were meet, ate breakfast in the morning before going to the boat "good food " will defiantly stay there again... :)

The Bar tender / cook was by himself serving a large group. He was overwhelmed and some folks were frustrated by very slow service. He was polite and kept apologizing for the slow service
