The Village Lodge

The property was very quite,great central location. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. Walkable to many eating places. Views were so pretty. Only negative was that the main ice machine was broken for the four days we were there.

Construction going on on apparently all but 1 pool/spa. Big bummer

Pool was not heated to 85 degrees as indicated by front desk…jacuzzi tubs jets broken and the pools are suffering from deferred maintenance and lack of upkeeps. Otherwise, everything else was excellent

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lodge is a little on the older side, but spacious, clean, and very conveniently located near the gondola to the lifts. Hot tubs were great. Ski locker was convenient.

Great location lots of room underground parking

Super convenient for skiing (2 min walk to Gondola), heated underground parking, heated ski locker, outdoor heated pool and spa, full kitchen, spacious condo with full kitchen and newer furnishing (including excellent bed), walking distance to multiple dining options, what is there not to like? Perfect base for skiing in Mammoth.

Parking is difficult for bigger vehicles. I had to park in street and that was difficult do to limited spots.

Great location with a lot of fun things to do in the area. It is disappointing they now charge you for charging your electric vehicle, which had been free for many years.

Property was great. The condo we stayed had mole in the shower area. The grout has not been clean properly and it had like a brown color. I do have pictures if you need me to provide them ..

Carpet was dirty, sofa bed mattress was horrible, bath floor dirty. King bed was fine, kitchen adequate. Room looked well used The Village was good, parking was excellent, and we enjoyed Mammoth.

Had a wonderful stay. Beds were very comfortable and place was very clean. Love how spacious it was. Staff was very helpful and great customer service.

Upon walking to our room, the room next to us had a used condom and wrapper outside the front door. When I called the front desk for it to be removed, they took 45 minutes to clean it up and never reached out to check how we were doing or what they could do to fix the situation. My children had to see this and it made us uncomfortable for the entire stay. The room itself was ok. The property is worn out. Our room was not as clean as we would have like it. If we were staying longer than a night, I would have had them move us. We couldn't wait to leave. Room was hot, missing screen in one of the bedrooms so we couldn't open the window for air. Disappointed.

Great location and good price for the mid-week stay I had. The one downside was the bathroom sink was completely clogged up, it would take 10 -15 mins to finally drain. I don't know how a cleaning person could have cleaned the sink and not realized it was clogged. Beyond that, the smell emanating from the bathroom was pretty bad. Smelled like a sewer. So, the rest of the room was fine, but the bathroom spoiled the stay. Hopefully they can get it together. Many hotels can't seem to stay on top of making sure sinks are not clogged.

Room was clean and spacious and was fully equipped.Access to area was excellent and plenty of options within and around property to dine and drink

I had a very upsetting experience during my stay at The Village at Mammoth. While I was showering, the wall-mounted shampoo/conditioner dispenser fell off the wall and landed on my 2-year-old daughter’s foot. The dispenser was heavy and clearly glued very poorly (see photo). It caused pain, swelling, and a black toenail — we had to file an incident report with management. This was not a random accident. It was a clear case of poor maintenance and safety oversight. That fixture should never have been installed the way it was, especially in a family-friendly resort. I sincerely hope the hotel fixes this before someone gets seriously hurt. I would not recommend staying here unless safety standards are improved.

Wonderful last-minute hotel choice for our trip up to beautiful Mammoth! Our studio room was clean and had all the amenities needed. Would definitely stay again.

Room was clean and was able to get in early, which was great. Only issues was a broken dresser in the living room and a smokey fireplace.

The beds were slightly firm and kind of uncomfortable same with the pillows. They had feather pillows. In the kitchen they had a dining set, but the seats were really out of comfortable. They need to be redone. Also in the summer it’s really hot because they don’t have central airconditioning. Other than that, it was nice.

The room/setting is awesome. The bed is comfortable. The location of our room was great; we loved the corner room and having the balcony for the afternoon sunshine. Heating was a bit of an issue, as it was a bit chilly in the main room and the fireplace didn't heat much but it added to the fresh vibe. The folded elephant towel was an adorable touch! The Murphy bed and pull out couch is awesome for larger groups.

These are privately owned. With that being said each rental is different. The time we went before we had a great room and were very pleased. Unfortunately this time it was a bit more cramped, not as nice and it was extremely hot in the room despite running fans & 1 window unit thingy. The wall thermostat said it was anywhere between 87-92 degrees at any given time. Also in the middle of the night it was very loud when the bars got out. Our room was on the corner outside are of the village. We had to sleep with the windows cracked b/c it was so warm so unfortunately

Given the price was surprisingly poorly taken care of - dishwasher wheel broken, table leg loose, missing handles, etc. Location perfect and loved the hot tub, convenient parking and full kitchen. Couch very uncomfortable and took us a full day to figure out the heating/thermostat..

We stayed in a two bedroom suite at the Village and extended our stay because it was so delightful. The room was an amazing and expansive space, and restaurants in the Village were convenient, tasty and priced right. Truly one of the best and most relaxing vacations we’ve ever had. We initially thought this was a one time trip but we enjoyed it so much that we will return.

The room was ok. Portable AC in room which didn't work too well. The pull out couch bed was extremely uncomfortable. For the price I wouldn't stay here again. Good for location

The room was very dated and quite run down in parts.

Room needs some upgraded renovation. The windows facing the streeet allow too much noise from ourside. Elevator could also use an upgrade. Overall great staff and location.

The property itself was great with good amenities, dining options and has great vibe with activities and music fest right outside during our stay. The daily housekeeping service was great with fresh towels and made bed everyday. But the room / condo itself has a dated feeling to it. The limited and incandescent lighting in the rooms makes it very dim at night.

Quaint ski town and nice location for relaxing during summer. Attended weekend reggae festival in same village plaza next to hotel property. Quite a few restaurants options nearby. You do need to request maid service at check in. We did both request at check in and put tag on our door and room was still not cleaned during our two night stay. Four stars because my call to front desk to request replacement of down pillows which triggers an allergy, was ignored. Overall I would probably stay again if visiting the area.

Upon checking out at 0720am on 6/11/25 Front desk staff hanged up on me,I was just asking my total bill,told me that he does not understand what I was asking,he also stated he can not divulge total amount of my stay,I was asking for my total amount ,front desk staff hang up the phone ,I went to desk,spoke to a lady ,I informed her re: unprofessional behavior of the male staff,need to improve customer service,how will you feel if you have been disrespected?,lady was not sympathetic nor did she apologized about bad customer service ,never ever again staying at this place,I will never recommend this hotel to anyone,you will loose future customers due to poor customer service,how can you defend a staff,your employee who has poor character or possibly does not want to work as a front desk staff,that male staff need to be retrained,informed of my complaints,it should be a priority for your company to make changes and improve their performance/service recovery process,I’m not saying customers are always right,please ask yourself and your employees,how would feel if the front desk staff hanged up on you ?,I was just asking for my total changes for 2 nights/3days ?,is that difficult to answer and understand?,I was hoping that he will call me back and let me know phone conversation was cut or he has to ask someone so he can answer my questions,horrible experience.

Very convenient and super close to all the hikes and point of interest. We were on the fourth floor. Our bed was super comfortable and the pillows as well. I had no idea. It was like a condo setting. Which I loved, we took advantage of the living room area, which I might add the sofa was super comfortable. This one bedroom King size bed sleeps 4 if you include the sofa bed in the living room. We only used it to relax after our long days of hikes. It was only my husband and I. I will definitely come back again. I want to say that the only Staff member that I came across with was the young lady who checked us in her name is Daisy. She was super knowledgeable and super kind to us. Shout out to Daisy for being so nice and kind.

Felt like home, everything is close. Maria front desk manager was friendly and helped us extend our stay. Weve already booked another 3 weekend. Worth it!!

The check in with Maria was amazing she accommodated our needs and she was very friendly and we got the best room we can think of.

This property is looking very tired and run down and rooms only have ceiling fans (which are very noisy). Staff around the property did not speak or understand English which was frustrating when asking directions.

A perfect location for a ski trip to Mammoth. Being in the middle of the village with a variety of food options makes eating out easy. The gondola makes getting to the slopes early as easy as can be without any of the hassle of lugging your stuff there. The property is well maintained and had a lot of the winter comforts you need.

Once we parked our car, we did not need to drive until check out. Everything is walkable. Room is very specious and clean. We arrived 4 hours before check-in time. Initially the staff told us the room was not ready. We expected that. But when we were telling that we just finished a long backpacking and wanted to take shower, Ms. Mandy Hernandez walked in. She found a room which was ready, so we could check in immediately. She was very helpful and super friendly. We could not appreciate her more. Only one negative thing was portable AC. Outside temperature was cooler than the room, and very noisy. We opened the deck door to cool the room.

The village is at great location, close to the view points, close to the restaurants, close to the grocery stores.

Amazing location near both gondola and restaurants. Plan to lock your skis in the garage or have a bag to keep them in.

Great hotel in a perfect location only 45 minutes from Yosemite. A good selection of restaurants and amenities in The Village. We have stayed here about 8 times in the past 15 years, and although the exterior is remodeled, the rooms need a little love. However, they are clean and include a kitchen and table.

It’s a cute rustic lodge. We went for the mammoth rocks music festival. The location is perfect for that. There are a few nice lunch and dinner restaurant options but not much for breakfast.

Did not use the pool. Too cold. Garage parking good. Room is worn. Vulcania restaurant is a joke.

Amazing staff and a wonderful place to stay. Having multiple dining options within steps from your room is beyond convenient.

Its unfortunate that a lot of places close very early. We arrived to the hotel at 10pm but by the time we left luggage and tried to go eat with the kids, it was late. I do though, liked that at checkin they gave us a list of restaurants with times, that way we can plan ahead for next time

The restaurants in the Village are so-so, best are off property.

The food in the village was terrible and low-quality. The Outdoor seating areas were dirty and unkept. Pineneedles and leaves blown into the corner that we have been there for days. No pre-cleaning prior to opening the restaurant.
