Rustic stand-alone cabins. Street parking only and you must carry your belongings from the street to the cabin. The paths were uphill and icy during our visit. Care was required to avoid slipping and falling. Take advantage of the complimentary crampons the hotel offers and be safe. Our one bedroom cabin had a kitchen with utensils/pans/pots/plates/mugs/cups and was spacious and comfortable. Fun stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while on a ski trip to Mammoth. It was everything we needed! Room was on the smaller side but it was a perfect size for two people. We stayed in a room with shared bathrooms and never had to wait for the bathroom. Overall, the place was pretty clean and had everything we needed. Continental breakfast in the morning and shuttle from Mammoth Village directly to and from the lodge was super convenient. Staff was very kind!

We come here 1-2 times every year. If you want a cosy winter / ski experience, book one of the cabins. Amazin location in the middle of nature. Quite simple but with all necessary amenities. The restaurant is probably the best option in Mammoth, quite pricey though. Have drinks at the bar before.

Lodge is in a beautiful location fronting the lake and lots of hiking/biking trails. While furnishings are dated and old, the cabin is clean and heater is a nice touch. We booked a room with private bath but got upgraded to a cabin which was a pleasant surprise. Although the drive up to the cabin is bit steep for our van :) Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay even just for the night and looking forward to come back.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. however our bed had tons of hairs and seemed like they had not been washed from the previous client. Also, room is extremely small. You have to also share bathroom and restroom which is awful if you have to use the bathroom in the night. We also couldn’t sleep- beds are super hard and we kept hearing little mice in our room. The walls are super thin you can hear your neighbors snoring wtc. Location is great.

My wife and I love Tamarack Lodge, and we go there often. However, this time we noticed that the carpets were very dirty even though they were vacuumed , the carpets need to be washed and deodorized other than that we had a wonderful time as usual.

Nice older property. Had a few issues during the night. First i was shocked by the heater when attempting to turn it up, the toilet would clog and would not flush and had a few visitors (RATS) attempt to enter the room around midnight and 0300. Other than that the staff was extremely nice and the area around is beautiful.

The property really is beautiful and idyllic and so the hotel should be great, but its not. If you arrive at night, its pitch dark, not one light identifies the lodge or its entrance. It's not that the lodge rooms have shared bath, thats ok. it's that the shared baths are dumpy, old, and one is completely unheated and freezing. The doors to the rooms have 2 locks and require two hands to exit or enter, it just needs updating. Also the "continental breakfast is inferior to a Hampton Inn" which is puzzling.

This was a bit more far from the yosemitte vally than we expected then we had to cancel the second night and the place was greiciouse enough to grant us a 50 percent refund. The rooms are small, no fridge or tv. The outside is amazing by the lake, and the staff are super friendly and happy to answer all of our questions.

The lodge is in a great location, and the staff that works at the Tamarack Lodge is AMAZING. That being said, a few minus points are, the rooms that are not detached from the main building are extremely small. One can hear even people talking in the next room, the beds are uncomfortable to sleep in.

Cozy little cabin in the mountains. The rooms are old and rustic and small but works. The hotel is a 100 years old. The breakfast was a nice addition. The property is located right in front of twin lake. Great location!

The property is a nice property in Mammoth. However, we stayed in the actual Lodge building and the lodge is very old and very noisy when people are walking up the stairs or in the hallway. It sounds like they’re walking right in your room.

I loved everything about the cabin! It was the first time we have stayed in a cabin, normally we rent a trailer on upper twin lakes. It was so nice, 1 B. Historic Cabin. It slept 4, had a nice shower and bathroom, nice little kitchen, kitchen table, and nice living room with a fireplace!!!

Cute 100 year old lodge on Twin lakes in Mammoth lakes California. Great vacation in the mountains spot. Room for 2 in main lodge small but met our needs. Wi fi and cellular very spotty even in the room; restaurant good but ridiculously expensive for the area with Entrees starting at $50 and cocktails all over $20.

From check in to check out, the stay was excellent. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The individual who checked me in took the time to go over everything I needed to know and even made me a reservation for dinner. They delivered a TV with DVDs to my room. Someone else helped get my big bag from my car to the cabin. I rented an e-bike, which I highly recommend, so that you can see the sights. The scenery was amazing and life changing. The only negative was the shower, the shower head was old and it sprayed everywhere.

Access to the cabins is unsafe given you most scale a slick / icy hillside to get to your cabin. Completely undoable for elderly which I am not. Staff unfriendly / not particularly helpful. It could be a cool experience but loses charm very quickly because basic hospitality is not considered.

Very nice property nestled outside the busy Mammoth downtown. The area is quiet and relaxing. Staff was friendly and courteous. The room was nice, though you could hear the creaking noise of the floor at night when someone walks through the corridor. It is a very charming and relaxing setting. The breakfast was good as well.

This was my first time staying at Tamarack Lodge, and I can honestly say it was my personal best experience ever staying in Mammoth. The staff was superb - the hospitality and kindness made my stay. Shout out to Donald and Dave for their thoughtfulness and truly creating a personalized experience for my party. The easy parking and wonderful lake views were the cherry on top! I look forward to staying at Tamarack again.

Easy to get to. Nice staff. Beautiful scenery. I would definitely stay here again. I went when it was snowing and the fireplace in the lodge did wonders.

Rustic stand-alone cabins. Street parking only and you must carry your belongings from the street to the cabin. The paths were uphill and icy during our visit. Care was required to avoid slipping and falling. Take advantage of the complimentary crampons the hotel offers and be safe. Our one bedroom cabin had a kitchen with utensils/pans/pots/plates/mugs/cups and was spacious and comfortable. Fun stay.

Very nice property nestled outside the busy Mammoth downtown. The area is quiet and relaxing. Staff was friendly and courteous. The room was nice, though you could hear the creaking noise of the floor at night when someone walks through the corridor. It is a very charming and relaxing setting. The breakfast was good as well.

Great location, beyond beautiful scenery feom inside your cabin. The staff was great, cabin was perfect. Note: Depending on tume of year, you may have to walk up road to your cabin with your luggage as (streets) to each cabin may still be closed due to snow. Not a complaint, just know before you go is all. 5 stars for location and staff.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while on a ski trip to Mammoth. It was everything we needed! Room was on the smaller side but it was a perfect size for two people. We stayed in a room with shared bathrooms and never had to wait for the bathroom. Overall, the place was pretty clean and had everything we needed. Continental breakfast in the morning and shuttle from Mammoth Village directly to and from the lodge was super convenient. Staff was very kind!

We come here 1-2 times every year. If you want a cosy winter / ski experience, book one of the cabins. Amazin location in the middle of nature. Quite simple but with all necessary amenities. The restaurant is probably the best option in Mammoth, quite pricey though. Have drinks at the bar before.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay and would definitely stay again. Stunning location with loads of history although out of town if you want easy access to shops (we didn’t). Really friendly staff and very informative. We ate in the fine dining restaurant which was lovely, amazing food and great service. Comfortable bed in the lodge room and lovely lounge to sit in in front of the fire.
