We were impressed that while this hotels pool was undergoing repair, the hotel pool and gym next door were offered. Great facilities there to enjoy. Meanwhile, this hotel put extra effort into making guests feel welcome. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We would stay here again, definitely.

Overall, this was a great deal for the price. I would say this is a three star hotel. The pros are that it offered a full breakfast, was reasonably priced, and our room was pretty nice. The cons are that the bath/shower were a bit old and rundown with rips in the shower curtain. Also, the front desk clerk said that they would offer breakfast meat however, when we arrive for breakfast the next morning, no breakfast meats were offered. There was plenty of parking and the hotel staff was very accommodating and courteous. There is no pool as the pool area was boarded up. The hotel is situated in a moderate, middle income residential area. The hotel is conveniently located approximately 6 miles from the UC Merced campus, which makes it convenient if you’re staying in town to visit a student.

During my stay, some teenagers were up to about 1 am being teenagers, and later in the evening the internet was nearly unusable. However, the bed was really comfortable, the fridge worked well, the toilet had a powerful flush and breakfast was plentiful.

It was a good stay but it had a few issues. The shower head was really dirty the tv remote didn’t work well and the ice machine had water all over the place so it was really dangerous to walk.

The bathroom ceiling had mold and cracks, the doors and walls and surfaces were very dirty, the elevator was broken, the walls are super thin so you can hear every footstep above you and every convo around you. Then they have the audacity to charge $100 deposit which is $20 more than the cost of the room. I have stayed at other hotels in Merced for the same price and they were clean and fine so I didn’t think this one would be so bad but it was one of the worst motels I have ever stayed in.

When we checked in the room they 1st put us in the heater didn't work so the temperature in the room was 57ﾟ and the heater was kicking out cold air. Then they put us in a different room. The heater worked but it looked like someone took s*** And rubbed it all over the bottom of the white black out curtain, The sink drained very slowly, I took the shower forever to get hot water, There was supposedly a clean bath towel in there but it had yellow stains on it like somebody peed on it and let it set, the shower sprayed water along the wall and over by the toilet, The light above the sink and one of the lights above the beds did not work, and they cut out a rectangular piece of damaged carpet right by the door and it looked like all they did is super glue another piece there with threads and everything sticking up instead of using carpet tape Which is a trip hazard, And the 2 gold covers on the beds we're both stand they look like somebody had defecated on them and they didn't wash them properly. We are going back to Merced in January and we have reservations at another hotel. When we checked out, the man working looked and acted like he wanted to be anywhere else but there.

The rest room was full of mold, when getting a towel to take a shower I noticed it had a red stain like blood. Looks like they don't wash their towels good. the hotel is really not UpToDate and the needs a lot of maintains. will never stay there again.

The property has definitely seen better days. Many stains on carpet, mold in shower around the caulking. Staff was very friendly and helpful but they couldn't overcome the shabbiness of the hotel. Definitely not my "Choice" next time.

The room was very clean but the air conditioning was broken and it was very hot.If we don't want to be disturbed by noise, we have to close the window and sleep.There are many restaurants around the hotel with excellent transportation location, and sometimes trains make noises.The breakfast is simple but lively enough to talk to people.Overall suitable for a short break.

The people were friendly, the bathroom inside our room needs a makeover. The fan was about to fall out of the ceiling. There were water stains around the door and the shower leaked onto the floor. Also, if you were the first person in the shower the water was not hot.

In Ridgecrest, there was easy access to the room. In Artesia, access to the room wasn’t easy, and the breakfast was lousy - complete with frozen waffles and sloppy, soupy oatmeal. In Merced, the door lock on the room was broken. Front desk staff had to accompany each time my wife returned to the room in order to unlock it with a master key.

The beds are super uncomfortable, the frames are coming apart and the sheets and towels are like sand paper. We had our infant baby and our toddler, and could not shower them because there was no hot water. The front desk people really did their best to accommodate us by moving us to three different rooms but they all had no hot water. We ended up moving to a different hotel. They told us we would be reimbursed but could not issue the reimbursement directly to us because the reservation was made through hotels.com It's been 6 days now and I received an email from hotels.com saying they could not process my reimbursement. This is a summary of a extremely long and inconvenient experience.

My stay was okay. The receptionist was out when I arrived and I had to wait 10 minutes for the person to return. The receptionist did give me the quietist room possible, but there was a lot of noise from the guests and the freeway.

Good room, nice staff and good breakfast. But the noise from the highway was not nice.. There was train track right next to hotel and the trains shouted out very loudly every time they passed by. Didn’t get much to sleep and woke up every time train shouted out. But if you are strong sleeper and do not be disturbed easily (or wear earplugs) this was very okay place to stay one night.

We stayed here on our way to Yosemite and were greeted by Jaime. I have to say, I have never felt more welcome and accommodated than I have at this hotel. (This is coming from someone who grew up in southern hospitality!) Jaime was courteous, energetic, and incredibly kind. We had an issue with the hot water (we were turning the knob the wrong way), and Jaime helped us realize what was going on. Even after fixing it, Jaime offered to move us to an entirely new room if we weren't happy. I am so glad we stayed here and will definitely be coming back!

The ice maker wasn’t working The shower had low water pressure with lukewarm temperature The pool and hot tub were closed (which was not listed on their website) There was water damaged sheetrock around the window The television remote seemed to be locked out and I could not change the channel, only turn the volume up or down I asked for a discount but was told the clerk didn’t have the power to grant price changes and the clerk was unwilling to speak to the manager on my behalf, he suggested I call on another day It seemed to be more of a motel than a hotel, the hallways leading to the rooms are concrete walkways which are not enclosed from the elements

This hotel is pretty run down. We were told they plan on renovating soon. The breakfast was good. One problem we kept having is our Keyes would stop working so we kept having to go get them reset. All three adults staying in the room had separate keys and it happened multiple times to all of us despite us making sure to keep the keys away from our phones since phones could deactivate the key cards.

The intersection in front of the hotel was a little dangerous. They had a food truck for food. It was pretty good. The pool was closed and may not be opening up. The people were nice and friendly.

Good price, ok for a one night stay. The rooms need a little updating and maintenance, there's visible paint chipping, etc. The exhaust fan in our specific bathroom was very noisy! I also don't understand why hotels insist on using curved shower curtain rods, the curtain never stayed closed and consequently the bathroom floor got wet. The breakfast is very basic, just breads, cereal and waffles, juices, yogurt and milk; coffee ran out and the person in charge of the breakfast area was MIA. I had to go to the front desk to request more coffee, they then offered me coffee from their lobby coffee pot but even that one was empty. It took about 10 minutes for her to come back in, at which point she started cleaning up even though there was still about 30 minutes left of breakfast time. It also took another 10-15 minutes for her to put out another pot of coffee.

This was a good stay for an overnight business. I got in at 7:30 pm or so, check in was good. Offered me bottled water without cost. The room was clean, although obviously has some age to it, and has its usual wear and tear. Had a nice bed. Breakfast need a bit more protein choices but adequate, waffle maker.
