Staff was wonderful, there was a hiccup with check-in but that was mainly hotels.com issue. Only reason not excellent is all ice makers were broken.

The pool and pool area was like an abandoned area. The pool light that should have been underwater was floating by a wire. The pool and hot tub were dirty. Hot tub had no bubbles. Switch was not working. Hot tub was not heated. A real disaster out there.

Where to begin? Swimming Pool closed, and no prior notice when booking, even though I spoke directly to the property. Specifically booked THIS property for the pool as temps were forecast in triple digits for our entire stay. Not a single working ice machine in the entire building. Television did not work. AC did not work in the first room they put us in, but luckily they were able to move us. Coffee makers in the room, but no cups. Carpets FILTHY! Left our socks black after walking around for just a few minutes. Shower head broken and tub cracked with missing soap holders. The list goes on, but why bother. This is a terribly managed property and I would avoid it at all costs.

The pool was full of algae the spa was cold and there where exposed wires on the lift. Shower would not turn on the would not turn off, they did fix it quickly. On day 2 the elevator was out of order. The staff where all helpful and nice.

No problem with check in. The front desk person was very helpful and nice. We were asked where we would like to be so that was great. The only negative was that the pool and hot tub were closed for health violations of some kind and we were looking to take a swim after a long day of driving. If it is going to be a long term shutdown perhaps that should be mentioned when booking this hotel.

Great hotel. Its worth the extra money. If you’re looking for a swimming pool, this one has been out of order for a while. Call ahead to make sure. $50 pet fee. Im still happy with my stay.

The room was less than perfect. We arrived late evening and checked in around 23:30. As far as checking in it was fine Once in the room we notice the corner wall was broken and there was a dead roach. We informed the front desk but they didn’t do anythink about it. We had to clean it up The rest of the trip was fine. We didn’t see any other bugs. The breakfast was decent had multiple options and was included in the price. We spend one evening by the pool. It was too cold to get in but nice and relaxing to be around w my family.

Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The overall cleanliness of the hotel itself was below average. Spiderwebs in the hallway. A little trash in the hallways. Ice machine was not working on our floor. Outside the building needed some attention. Lots of weeds and trash. We stay at a Hamptons everywhere we travel to and this location was below our expectations.

The hotel was very dirty, amenities not working. Carpet in room dirty, doors and exits were not properly working. Elevator was broken and un operational throughout the stay. Ants crawling on table tops coming through the walls. Leaking air conditioning, wetting the carpet making it smell moldy and wet. And the front desk staff was terrible. I as on thier cellphones while speaking to you, and making you wait as they finish thier personal call. I had a key waiting for my friend at the front desk, i gave the front desk staff my guests name and the front desk girl said “nobody told me you were coming” very unprofessional. Complimentary breakfast was minimal and sausage tasted like soap. I do not recommend this hotel. I expect more from hamptons inn.

The pool was bright green with algae! Men smoking pot outside the entrance to the hotel. The room and hallways are filthy with stains. The beds had hair and stains. I parked next to a bush and my vehicle had gotten infested with ants!

Best Hotel and service in Merced.... sheets and bed are suuuper clean and smell fresh...I have to say I was very impressed with them and the price 👌 I highly recommend.

Carpet was disgusting and sticky, feet were black walking on it. Beds didn’t have any mattress protectors or bed skirts, and there was a large bloodstain on our mattress. Beds and mattresses were creaky, uncomfortable and in need of replacement. Shower and toilet were not working properly when we checked in.

The staff was excellent. Priya, Ashley, and Smith were accommodating, kind, professional and provided excellent customer service. The pipe broke so no water available for 2.5 hours. However, they brought 4 plumbers in to troubleshoot and repaired it quickly. The rooms were average. It had stains on the wallpapers, dirty and old office chair that squeaked, outdated phone, broken clock that didn't have a plug, chipped tables/cabinets/bathroom vanity. This is not the typical Hampton Suite I usually stay at. It appears to be an older hotel that was converted. Breakfast was good but decaf coffee, hot water, bagels or a variety of pastries were not available. My overall stay was a little above average. I appreciate the quiet atmosphere and was unable to hear the noise from the highway. I still enjoyed my 3 night stay.

Decent hotel, friendly staff, and close to freeway for an easy travel stop. Fast food was the only walkable choice for dinner. Our room needs an update: main and bathroom doors won’t close without force, bathroom hooks fall off, mattress old, TV screen has image burn, and the furniture is worn and dated.

Good for the area and what you pay for. I was nervous about some previous comments that mentioned break ins but figured I woild just risk it. The property manager is definately on rewriting the image of the hotel as staff was prompt to react to potential suspicious characters and i noticed they had a security detail at night for extra precautions. The hotel cant really do anythimg about the area but the certainly are doing all within their power to ensure the safety of their customers! The breakfast features different hot breakfast items each day in addition to a waffle making station. Me and m y husband took advantage of the onsight laundry and fitness centers which were very clean and accessible. Each staff member was fruendly and they were quick to respond to any questions and concerns we had. Would definitely recommend to a friend and book with them again

The staff at this location was phenomenal. My husband had just gotten a call his dad died and the front desk clerk did everything she could to help make it easier for us. She even gave me a hug and blessed us. I cannot say how much this meant to us as we wandered back and forth from our car sobbing and trying to get it together.

Included breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Rooms/bathroom were clean and updated and a little bigger than I imagined. Being nit picky, the bathroom door made a loud rough squeak right when closing and opening. The AC unit was loud, preventing us from leaving it on in the middle of the night to maintain a certain temperature. Parking could improve: there are huge trailer containers taking up almost half of the parking. The surrounding transient population is also a concern. I saw broken glass in the parking lot which tells me a car was broken into recently. Location was about 5-7 minutes down the freeway from Downtown Merced, which is closer to more supermarkets and food options. Overall, hotel was just right for our quick one night stay to visit UC Merced (about a 15 min drive).

We stayed here to drop my daughter off to UC Merced. It was a 10 min drive. There is jack in the box and Dutch bros around the corner. The neighbors we had were nosey as we were asleep but other than that we enjoyed our stay

My truck was broken into a lot of personal items are stolen. They said they had security till 5 o’clock in the morning, but my truck was broken into from the camera footage at 3 o’clock in the morning. The hotel said the best thing they could do is just give me a refund for the room Highly recommend not staying here if your car is valuable or has any valuable parts on them, the drug addicts in this area will break your windows and take anything out of your car

No hot water. Someone smoking down the hall. TV was worn out (had hot spots). Room was too hot (even after leaving the HVAC off all night. Offered water for one room but not the other 2. Ran out of hot food at 8:30 in the morning! Not even close to Hilton standards.

The hotel was not even ready during the check in time at 3pm PST. There were no towels in the room due to shortage of staff. I had to contact the front desk about when the towels would be ready and I had to pick up at the front desk. The following morning when I went downstairs for breakfast, they were out of waffle mix, milk, eggs and all of the essentials of what a breakfast entails. There were not shutters to darken the room and it was bright so we were not able to get a proper amount of sleep.
