Inn at the Cove

Gorgeous ocean views from every room, and a heated pool and hot tub made this place perfect. It is quiet, but only a 5 minute drive to pismo pier. They also have an incredible complimentary breakfast spread and wine tasting daily

It was so comfortable and great to be so close to nature without all of the distraction of commercial activity. Perched perfectly above the ocean in a pristine landscape with great rocking chairs and warm fir pits!!

Excellent view from the room patio. The breakfast was hot and healthy. We used the jacuzzi even while it was raining and loved it. We also enjoyed the wine tasting in the lobby.

Location was perfect and views amazing. Pool and hot tub were great and the rooms were outstanding. Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location. We've stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. There is a nice little beach below the property. On Thursdays they have a musician and wine tasting.

We very much enjoyed the pool, day and night. The views were beautiful! We enjoyed the separate seating areas around the property. We used the spa all 4 days we were there.

The property is beautiful with views of Pismo beach as well as the rockier coast. Access to a small beach. Lots of spots to sit, relax and enjoy the view. Service was excellent with anything you need a text message away. Breakfast was okay. The music and wine tasting on Thursday night was wonderful. Loved the refillable water bottles and filling station. The only issue we had was the very thin walls which allowed us to hear dogs, children and couples. Despite that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

This hotel was wonderful, all of the rooms have a great view, the pool and hot tub were amazing, and there is a trail down to the cove underneath the property. Breakfast was a great bonus too!

It was sad to see that the jacuzzi was out of service. The wife and I really wanted to soak in the jacuzzi after our long day of driving.😢 The person above us walked so hard we thought the ceiling was going to come down on us. The pool/ocean view was more of a pool view and not much of an ocean view. Lots of stair getting to your room, if you have a lower level room, not fun using.

Decided on this place because it offered access to a beach. The beachfront room had a great view of the water. The free breakfast was nice as was the heated pool. The only knock on it was that the bed wasn't super comfortable.

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. I’m beyond impressed and already plotting my next stay! Breakfast was delicious! Staff was accommodating and helpful! What more can you ask for! Book it!

It was a super nice room, very clean and great views! I wanted to get away but didn’t want to do much other than relax so it was nice to be right by the ocean and having a pathway to walk. There’s also lots of comfy chairs with great views. I usually always pick a cheap hotel but this was worth it for what you get, i believe I paid $180 for one night. Also, there are some stairs that lead down to the ocean and it’s very private not many people if any that were down there. I do wish check in time was earlier but that’s usually how hotels are. The breakfast was good too! I will definitely stay again.

There was lots of parking, it was difficult getting to our room definitely a weird layout. Room was decent because of the balcony and view but there was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and what looked like blood stains out our front door. Also, the freeway is very close and you can hear it all night. They have a private beach that is not easy to get to and completely unmaintained the stair case is dangerous I fell getting down at the end of the staircase. There’s barely any beach and what is, is unusable covered with seaweed/nats and birds not to mention the smell. I would not stay here again.

The room and the property were clean, the location is peaceful, and it’s only a short drive to Pismo Beach. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great property - enjoyed the stay - would stay there again. One item of attention that was reported to management - no hot water from bathroom sink faucet. Shower did have hot water.

Area around the property and facilities are excellent, nice views. However, proximity to freeway make it noisy and competing sound with the ocean. The AC (Wall unit) in the room is laud and flow air 2 feet away from the bed.

Paper thin walls/ceilings etc - can hear everything around you.

The views from the bottom or top floor of the Ocean make this property spectacular. They also have a private beach in a cove to explore. Rooms are dated by the property location and setting make up for that in abundance. Book without hesitation.

Paid for an ocean front room but they are ocean view so I’m confused as to what I paid extra for? Bed was comfy, downstairs rooms are a bit loud with upstairs walking going on. Cute little balcony but I would not call this ocean front.

Nice stay. Rooms are nice. Location near Ocean cliffs is great. Only complaint, is that the bottom floors are very noisy from the people walking above you.

The hotel property is beautiful. Ocean front rooms with a great view. The room itself was so nice. Checking in was easy. My only complaint is the beds are so hard. They look fluffy but are not. Still, it didn’t ruin our trip. Everything else, is great

I fell down going down the stairs in your lobby , there wasn’t a wet floor sign or at least a Mat to soak up the wet floors . The person at from saw me and instead of going to assist she just yelled from her counter “ do you need help” I’m like no I’m fine . Now that I think about it I should have made an incident report . My leg is bruised and swollen . Please think of this in the future

I have been staying at the Inn more than one time , the person that checked me in was terrible , never that happened to me. He needs more training. He seems that he was doing me a favor to stay in the hotel

I would've given a 5 out of 5 on everything. But sadly the fire alarm came in by our room for 30minutes when my wife and I were about to sleep. This was late at night on 6/19. I called the help desk and the lady at the time was rude and short with me. Then on the morning of the 20th before we were going to checkout we went to the beach the male grounds keeper a heavy sat fairly tall guy with hair almost to his shoulder stepped directly in front of my wife and I for no reason. We were feeling a little assaulted. Then when we came up. Our card was deactivated before checkout time. We couldn't get back in I called the front desk and initially they wanted us to walk all the way around the facility instead of coming down a flight of stairs to open the pool gate, let us in, and reactivate our keys. The good part was the young adult White male and short Hispanic women were very knowledgeable and courteous.

First of all Bryce, the employee, gave us the wrong door and when we found it, it was the wrong key. Second, we had to go get the correct key for the given door and then we accidentally walked into an occupied room with people inside which was traumatizing for my family and the other family! Afterwards, we confronted Bryce about this and he DID NOT apologize as he gave us another room and smiled, laughing. Do not waste your money here because not only did we get disrespected by staff, but the rooms SUCKED. The beds are full-sized and uncomfortable, the AC was irregular and was only on one side, and there is no privacy between each room’s balconies. Overall, do not waste your money here due to poor management! The image below shows that Bryce initially gave us room 504 (the occupied room) and then gave us room 503 (the unoccupied room) after confronting him.

The worst experience of my life. I was excited to be spending my 40th birthday, we checked in and went into our room we noticed a patio chair was broken so we called the front office to let them know. By this time, we were there in the room for 15-20 minutes. I get ready to change my clothes to go down to the beach put my clothes on the bed, and out of nowhere my door unlocks and the maintenance man walks in my room does not knock or anything just unlocked my door with his key and invites himself in. I freaked out especially with all of the trafficking going on. I start screaming yelling and the guy he says oh I'm sorry. I have Never had anyone just walk into my hotel room without knocking. I was almost kidnapped when I was younger and that experience triggered me so much. I did not sleep well do to fear that someone was going to come into my room while sleep. The worst experience at a hotel... I did let the manager know and it felt like no one cared i was so upset I just left I wish i was refunded my money but i can tell by the managers response of - What do you want us to do, and her face expression said it all. I don't know on here, but women and kids are being kidnapped while vacationing and I got that exact feeling because my husband was just about to leave the room and go to the car and I would have been in there alone, naked then what would have happened then.? I did in fact have my shirt off when he walked in. This situation will never leave my mind.

When they said housekeeping is only available upon request, we thought it meant no one accesses the room (for any reason) unless requested. My husband and i went on a day tour and when we came back, the TV was on. Ok, nothing was missing but our stuff was all over the room. Kinda unsettling. Other than that, the room was spacious, clean and quiet. It was my husbands bday so they had a card and chocolates waiting in the room. Very accessible to the highway and downtown restaurants. Breakfast was so-so. Nearby is Ventana Grill which had terrific service (ask for Hailey)!. Given the chance, we will stay at the Cove again and will surely recommend to friends.

Ease with checking in. Martin was great in quickly resolving a room situation that required maintenance. We really appreciated the quietness of stay.

We booked the Inn at the Cove in Pismo for our 25th Wedding Anniversary! We cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. The views are spectacular, the rooms are clean and comfortable with beautiful balcony ocean views! Martin, management and all the staff were amazing in making our special day perfect by adding rose petals and champagne in our room on our anniversary. We will definitely be adding Inn at the Cove on our list of places to come to several times a year.

It's very quiet and has great views of the ocean. It is somewhat isolated (for better or worse), so you have to walk along a busy road to get to other coastal areas. The only good thing about the breakfast is the coffee.

We were very pleased with our beautiful room and the view. Wonderful paths overlooking ocean are all around. Mediocre breakfast, but it was adequate.

Amazing property, views and rooms. Enjoyed the hot tub at night and all the staff was great. The only downside was the continental breakfast was pretty basic, some cheese/meat/fruit would be a welcome addition.

The property is in a lovely location, and there is a private beach just a few minutes walk from the property. Dining options are limited. The complementary breakfast included was minimal for the price we paid.
