This is an economy type hotel, so we weren't expecting a lot. Lobby was under construction and they warned us the week before, but it was also too late to book another hotel without paying too much since we booked this months in advance to attend a graduation. Our first room had no hot water, so they moved us and checked the new room to ensure things were working. The employees are all nice and do a good job and were a bright spot for this property. Just showing wear from age, but not awful by any means.

Very comfy beds, pillows only so so. Breakfast/bar items available for purchase only. within 1 mile is shopping center for food & misc. Not really walkable as the hotel is on a hill and everything is below. Shared parking with another hotel so can be hard to find at times.

Charging $12.99 per car to park in Salinas is ridiculous. Moreover, it was not posted on the website otherwise I would’ve rented the hotel behind us that shares the parking lot that doesn’t charge.

Chose this hotel for indoor pool. Wasn't told it was closed by County til AFTER we had checked in. Would have gone elsewhere. TV in room would go completely dark for several minutes. Needs replacing. Rm. 105 Very limited channels, worst I've ever seen anywhere. One tiny trashcan in bathroom. My friend next door had 4!@ very inconsistent. Her room had no alarm clock. No ice nearby, go to restaurant???? Ridiculous. Front desk staff friendly but couldn't undo once we paid for rooms without knowing NO pool!@

Everything overall was good but I didn’t like I paid good money to stay there and still needed to pay for parking. 12 a day I didn’t like that at all. So that’s not good to pay so much for a room and still pay for parking.

The facility was under construction and there was no notice prior to the reservation being made. The construction workers began at 0800 and woke me up. I got to bed late and this was a little frustrating. House keeping then came at 0900 and tried to walk in without notice, or stating who was at the door. There was no do not disturb sign available to put outside the door but honestly I feel like they could have checked to see if I was checked out before entering the room. It’s not like they were going to do a great job cleaning anyway. The couch smelled musty, and the carpet was oddly greasy and dirty feeling in texture. I paid for the more expensive hotel in the area thinking I would get a better experience but unfortunately it was terrible.

Had Cherry pits under the sealed water cups next to the ice container. AC smelled like mildew if you set it higher than 65 degrees and was loud. Lastly they shut water off while I was in the shower at around 2pm with no notice. TV remote was inside the pull out couch which shows they don’t change linens and the TV had the hdmi switched so had to troubleshoot it to get the tv to work.

The room was good, as shown on pictures. There was some black hair on our white blanket. And hair on the bathroom floor. Floors were not washed. Had wet/dried footprints from previous users. We came at 3pm for check in and they didnt have our room ready. We had to wait nearly an hour, that delayed the rest of our schedule for the day.

Liked, it was close to where my meeting was scheduled. Not Liked. The bedspread had a few stains on it. I took it off the bed. There was lound banging noises off and on for about an hour. The 'bistro' didn't have enough help to quickly help clients. They had a limited menu. I had stayed next door before at the Marriott Courtyard and that was a much more pleasant experience.

check in for a work trip. the staff was super nice. I was exhausted but was immediately at ease when I got to my room. everything was clean and comfortable. the bed was amazing and I loved that we were able to stream Netflix too. I will definitely stay here again

Nice hotel near restaurants. We were spending 4 nights so that we could hike at Pinnacles National Park close by. The room was quite large and the beds were excellent. I wish that they had a microwave in the room. There is a very small restaurant downstairs which has nice lunch and breakfast options.

I was traveling for business. First thing I noticed-NO CLOSET OR HANGERS. Closet had nothing in it, not even a pole. Second, the lighting was terrible. Difficult to see hair style or makeup application. I will never stay here again. Dinner options available were way, way overpriced. My total bill was way over $300.

I booked a king-size bed, but upon arrival, I was switched to two queens. The front desk explained that “Expedia, as a third-party, has no control over their room assignments.” I’ve been an Expedia member all my life, and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed—I’ve always had great experiences before and never expected to encounter this. There were two front desk staff members: one was a trainee, and the other simply said there were no king rooms available, offering only to refund and cancel my reservation. That kind of response feels dishonest and unhelpful. On top of that, the property itself is poorly managed—the carpet looks filthy and outdated. I’m not sorry to say this will be my last time staying here, and I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

Stay was okay, but we were forced to pay in cash because their system was down for credit card payments. A courtesy call would have been nice to warn us that there was no credit card option. No one called and a lot of us were struggling to find cash at midnight..

I arrived at 3:15 pm and my room was not ready until 4 pm. I was told 3 housekeepers reported off that day. I was not given any compensation for having to wait. I would have been happier if the hotel clerk offered me a $10 discount for food at the hotel.

The staff was great and accommodating! Room is clean. Although there was a weird smell from the Aircon unit when the heat was turned on. Other than that, everything was good! I would stay there again.

Unfortunately Salinas is gang infested crime hub. But if you have to go there this is not a bad place to stay. It's near a busy corner so the traffic is noisy in the room. They have cleaned it up, since the last time we stayed there.

The hotel did not live up to expectations, outdated to say the least. Pay to park, no hot and free breakfast. In fact no free breakfast / continental. They have a bistro with incredibly over priced food items. TV does at least have youtube and netflix. Decent fitness center.

The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant. The room was great and my son appreciated that he was able to watch Netflix. The beds were so freaking comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud. We were also really excited about the Bar & Bistro onsite. However, it seemed to be understaffed for the amount of guests because we waited in line 20 minutes even though there were only 2 people in front of us. We got a turkey, egg & cheese croissant breakfast sandwich and the eggs were undercooked and the sandwich was cold. Also, while the facilities were clean, both the elevator and our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Other than that, our stay was great and we would return again if we needed to stay in the area!

I have booked a room with breakfast. However, breakfast was not a buffet style breakfast, but you could only choose one item, one water/juice, one standard coffee. A cafe latte was not included in the breakfast charge and if you wanted an extra yogurt with fruit, one had to pay the astronomical amount of $9.50. Overall, the breakfast option is too expensive.

The hotel is clean, nicely decorated, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant are really a counter that serves food and alcohol. The food menu is very limited and it’s all open to the entrance and lobby. The room was very nice, however while trying to sleep I could hear people clearly talking, coughing and snoring - these sounds were not from the hallway but other rooms! Overall I don’t think I’d stay there again.
