dirty. hot tub disgusting and non functional. no key card for the pool area so it was obvious people who were not staying at the hotel were using it for recreation due to the amount of people in the pool.

Staying at this motel in Salinas at times for more than 40 years, I like the cost and location. One bad thing, but not a problem on this trip for us, I asked the Front Desk about the inop ice machine and if they had a second machine on the property. No was the answer and during check out, they told me about a machine at the pool area, too late now.

As always, our stay the Laurel Inn was perfect. From the super helpful and friendly staff to the size and comfort of our room. The pool is a bit chilly still for me and I do wish the hot tub actually got hot, but aside from those, everything else was amazing. Also the breakfast in the morning is just right for a quick bite to get you up and going. Anytime I have family coming to town or anyone asks about a safe, comfortable and quiet place to say I send them to the Laurel Inn.

The pool and spa were out of order. The only ice machine for 200 rooms was broken. The breakfast was sparse. The room was quite roomy however there was a false eyelash on the carpet. The staff were very friendly and apologetic for the state of the motel. The place has the potent to be really nice but unfortunately it falls short.

The Hotel promotes a pool, hot-tub, and a buffet breakfast. These 3 things were the reasons that we booked our room. The pool & hot-tub were green, had a jelly coat, and closed. The breakfast did not include eggs and bacon like their pictures showcase.

Air conditioning quit working after the first night. Hotel was fully booked, so they were not able to move us to another room. Hot tub water was green. Hotel was not as advertised in photos or ratings. Will not stay there again.

Specifically called before I booked this motel about the hot tub was told there was a hot tub when I got here I was again told there was a hot tub when I went to the hot tub. It was half full and lukewarm.

Before we received keys & saw room, was charged fee of $100 for any damages. We found damages already in the room; we took several pictures; informed desk clerk we won’t pay for any of them. Room smelled bad; carpets were filthy; after showering, walked barefoot on It; feet were dirty with black soot within two minutes; Had to rewash feet before getting dressed which stained the wash cloths Black. We believe it may have been black mold in the carpeting. Attached are some pics of damages we found when we entered the room.

Rooms were dirty at time at check-in it smelled like smoke, bathroom had hair on the walls, tye towels looked used black lines on them TV was not working. Pool and jacuzzi were both dirty and the jacuzzi's water was coold. The breakfast that was advertised was not what was served definitely not what the website offered , they only had bread, coffee and milk. Aslo we found a cockroach in the breakfast room

Terrible experience that we didn’t even stay. I left within an hour checking in because the room was dirty. I decided to book outside of Hotels.com because they weren’t rectifying the problem. The fireplace didn’t work. The TV didn’t work and the toilet looked like it was used and never cleaned. The floors were sticky and the carpet was dirty and falling apart. Lastly there was marijuana in the drawer between the two beds.

Sheets and towels were clean and bathroom area looked clean. The old carpeting had all kinds of dirty spots that didn't look like any had been attempted to be cleaned! The mattress was firm. I couldn't get the TV to work. The curtains were in bad condition. I tried to get a doubles room on the ground floor but they only have doubles on the second floor and wouldn't change anything because it was arranged online through Expedia!

The outer appearance of the property seemed good enough. I was required to give my credit card for a security deposit. When I entered my room, I found that the window blinds were broken, the tv didn’t work, a shelf was broken, the linoleum on the floor was worn, the wall paper was pealing in various areas, and a problem with the closet doors.

the person at check in was very rude. she was bothered that we asked a few basic questions. terrible first impression at check in. the room was very dirty. the chairs and table were extremely dirty and the floor was not mopped.

Check in was at 3pm we got there at 4pm and were informed that the room was not ready. They were still cleaning and it was ready until 7pm my family and I were waiting outside by the pool. There was no lobby to wait in or restrooms to use. When they finally gave us the room it was dirty had to call them to come collect all the trash bags all inside the room. To request clean towels it was just awful. We had driven for 10 hours and we just wanted to get some rest. I beefed up going to buy cleaning supplies to clean the restroom and rooms myself it was too dirty. I reported this to the front office and they apologized and gave the managers email they said I could send an email but weren’t sure when he would get back to me. I would never ever stay there or recommend it to anyone.

The staff was so accommodating and professional! Rooms were extremely clean! Soft towels. Great breakfast. Quick service if you need anything brought to room. I wasnt crazy about the area but it was quite, no issues at all. The channels and tv were great.. lots of HBO! Think private walls! I was pleasantly suprised and would definitely stay there again!!! Thank you for a great stay!

The receptionist shared my name and the name of another person with two male guests while struggling to find their reservation. The TV remote was broken and my children were unable to use the TV. I called twice and was told someone would come but never came. Im very concerned that guests names are so wasily shared with ramdom strangers. This is a serious breach of confidentiality and safety issue. Please be sure to correct this concern.

The cleaning of the room i would said it was poor, the smell of the bathtub curtains was annoying, i found some hair on the bathtub as well and some on the floor, the floor in the room looked dirty. What i liked about the property was the location it was closer to everything and easy access to freeway.

THE PROS: staff very friendly, breakfast had a good verity. Local restaurants close by. The bed was comfortable. The price was good. THE CONS: the room was very dinghy, the fireplace didn't work, roaches in the bathroom, curtains and wallpaper falling apart, very noisey all night (people coming and going all night), carpet riped and coming apart in places.

The room was WAY OUTDATED! The bed was 10+ years old and the springs were pushing up through the padding. The "picture" breakfast is NOT what they offer - TOTAL LIE! NO EGGS, NO BACON, just Bagels and Toast. The shower had a low flow head, which was a complete joke.... 10 minutes to get the shampoo rinsed out of my hair. What was good, they have plenty of parking and the front desk staff lady was professional.

This hotel was nice for how much money we spent. It was a get what you pay for situation. The metal frames of the bed squeaked the every move, the tv was tiny and even though we told them how many guests were in the room there wasn’t enough towels. The soaps in the shower were basically empty and crusty and the microwave was in the bathroom area. Also in the pictures that they have posted online, for breakfast they have pictures of meats and eggs saying they offer breakfast which was the reason we chose this hotel. Well what they had was cold waffles, bagels, and cereal. They didn’t even have any creamer for the coffee.

Nice, clean room with comfy beds. Very accommodating. Right off the freeway, easy access to stores, additional restaurants. The swimming pool was clean, that's a plus as we have little swimmers. The continental breakfast was great, variety from bagels to waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal. Although i wish they had some eggs. The only thing was maybe they apply some of those tub mats or something as it is very slippery. I almost slipped, so we couldn't let our kids shower alone(they are 6 and 8) we had stand in there with them. And the toilet probably was missing a screw, everytime you got off it almost felt like it would pop off it was loose. We would definitely stay again!!

Always a good stay,especially for the price. Breakfast isn't as good as it use to be but still better than just pastries. Water took a long time to warm up this stay. Would stay again.

Really strong cigarette smoke odor all Over the room, empty shampoo conditioner and soap bottles the worst part is breakfast only bread bread and more bread (bagels , muffins and waffles) that’s it , wouldn’t stay here again
