The breakfast was good AF! The coffee is AWFUL but there's a Starbucks literally in the parking lot. I don't like supporting the bux anymore but I made an exception. The jets in the hot tub didn't really work, like they were SUPER weak, definitely need to be repaired, but it was still nice to relax in and watch Hulu on my phone.

Starbucks within walking distance. Car charger available but garage door not working properly so need staff to open for you. Common spaces very clean. Room was clean. Pool not working. Water only warm in shower with slight clogged drain. Mattress mediocre. Laundry available. Close to Main Street in Salinas. Felt safe. Most staff friendly and helpful. Clean ingredient guest sundries used.

Super clean and quiet. Easy to check in and come/go. Free outdoor parking and locked garage (they close it 12am-5am). 2 EV chargers in the garage not much around except a Starbucks in the same parking lot. It’s in an industrial area so it’s quiet and calm at night.

The recent renovations make the rooms look much better except for the bathtub thas still looks quite old and bad looking. The bathroom tissue holders should be changed as well because they are worthless. I love this hotel but this time around I was very disappointed. There was food in the fridge, probably from the person/people that stayed ther prior to us. The sheet smelled like cologne when we got into bed and it was only the section where it was folded by the pillows . I called the receptionist and she said it probably smelled like the detergent they use, i smelled another section and it didnt have same scent. We requested for another set of sheet and they said they weren't sure if they had another set that we should have a blanket and pillow in the closet. That set my kids were using on the pull out bed so then they were able to give a nother set of sheets and blanket. We felt very uncomfortable sleeping on a bed that sheets were not changed and to top it off i had to put clean sheet on it. We didn't make a big deal about it because it was already late and we were tiered from the travel.

The hotel is undergoing construction, so we have to take that under consideration. However, the elevators, the elevator lobby, the lobby, the hotel entrance, even the room we stayed in, were dirty. Wish we had booked another Hampton Inn elsewhere nearby. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, we still like the Hampton Inns.

I booked a suite and received a small king room. The shower head leaked all night and the bed was hard as a rock. The shower had mold all over inside of the shower and I just felt like the place was dirty. Horrible stay.

The exhaust system was noisy and it sounded like there was a constant loud humming all the time. One of the maintenance workers offered to turn off the system to our room and initially it was quieter. We went out for a couple of hours when we came back, it was noisy again.

I would have given all 5 stars however the toilet was the lowest I have ever seen. With bad knees it was very interesting. However I would definitely stay here again. I might ask for ADA room though. A very large big screen TV was a very welcome surprise.

It was not smooth. Different messaging from hotel staff regarding chevking out one room imto another. Very in convenient for paying customer. Wish my experience would of been different. Also the remote did nit work well with tv. If i wanted to watch channel USA you had to litteraly put ghe channel on TBS in order to watch the USA channel. That was annoying too.

Was truly excellent. Being greeted by very kind and helpful desk staff. The parking garage was safe and secure. The rooms extremely clean spacious and quiet. We will return . There is NO other place better to stay in Salinas .

The wonderful clerk at check in was absolutely amazing. We encountered a delay with our Expedia reservation showing up in their system and she went over and beyond to help us check in. Love this hotel. It’s my #1 choice in Salinas.

The hotel was fine. Unfortunately, The customer service provided by Michelle at the front desk was despicable. You don't talk over the customer, you listen and respond accordingly. She only listened to what she wanted to hear and then had the audacity to speak over me until I had to yell at her. I've never encountered such bad customer service from an individual that had nothing to do but check people in to their rooms. I will never go back to this location as long as she remains employed there. A real shame since we stay in hotels at least once a month. That woman needs to be educated on what good customer service is in the hospitality industry. The manager needs to rethink their choice on who is representing the brand! Shame on her for treating somebody so badly! For $250 a night, I'll take my business elswhere, thank you very much

Spent a weekend here for a soccer tournament (Fri-Sun). The parking was easy, hotel was clean, and the room was nice. We opted to pay a little more for this hotel vs cheaper, smaller hotels/motels nearby to ensure our stay was pleasant. However, on the first night, we had nothing but hot water in the bath shower. We asked for maintenance to correct this by the next night as we would be out all day (for soccer) and will need to shower. After returning from soccer in the evening, the shower was now only cold water. The front desk, which appeared to be management, said there was nothing they could do and has no other options (different room, a shower room elsewhere, etc.). Ultimately, giving us an option to shower in cold or don’t shower at all. This was unacceptable. We had three kids who needed to shower. Do better! Starbucks was in the shared parking lot, which was nice and convenient for coffee goers. Based on our experience, we will NOT be staying here anymore. Definitely disappointing.

Room was still not ready to check in at 5pm. Also, our car was towed because the staff did not inform us that one of the parking lots next to the hotel was private, and that they frequently tow the cars of the hotel guests. If the staff had simply told us this at check in, we would not be out all of the time to get our car back as well as the $300 it cost us.

We drove in from Los Angeles to go straight to a family funeral. We arrived early for our check in. Despite several calls made along the way to front desk asking if we could check in early and pay the fee, I was continually denied by front desk. We drove there anyway to ask if we could change in the restroom as the funeral service was in process down the street. Once the General Manager Michelle Love heard my question, she immediately went into action to secure us a room. The wait was all but ten minutes. We were incredibly thankful for her professionalism and attention to our sensitive matter. She is certainly an asset to Hampton Inn. Her work ethic is superb, and we appreciate how she helped make our long morning of commuting to then go straight to a funeral less stressful.

Check in was nice and easy. The man at the desk was friendly. Room was nice size. The hot water for the sink and shower never got hot and the pressure was low. There's a homeless camp behind the hotel and someone from this camp tried to take my belongings as I was loading my car to leave the hotel.

There are many signs warning customers that the hotel is not responsible for theft. The clerks have to buzz the door open. I was nervous from the get-go. They warn you not to accidentally park next door (abandoned hotel?) or you WILL get towed.

The area is close to Highway 101 but without all the freeway noise. My room was on the top floor, the farthest from the elevators, which I didn't mind as it resulted in extra steps for me. The room was nice and clean except for the bottom of the shower door; it needs a good scrubbing. I wish there was a restaurant in the hotel as there wasn't one nearby.

Convenient location. Right off highway 101. Starbucks next to hotel. Can walk to pick up a coffee. Was pleasantly quiet and plenty of onsite parking. Room was very spacious and clean. Rates were very competitive, compared to other hotels around Salinas. Will stay here a again next time in Salinas.

Very good. Rosa did a great job keeping it up the breakfast area. Great comfortable beds ad pillows. Front counter staff always friendly, welcoming, and hospitable... Toilet paper roll badly placed-requires contortionist skills to access it. We finally took it off its badly placed dispenser roll and just put the toilet roll on the counter to make it reachable.

Room was fine although bed too hard and there was a leak in the bathroom which appeared to be coming from the bathroom next door. Although we appreciated a "free" breakfast, the cooked food was pretty bad. Staff was nice though and I'm sure it wasn't their fault.

This is a fantastic staff with endless list of great amenities and features. The staff were friendly and courteous! They’re so helpful too, to give answers to all the questions I have. The room was clean with fresh linens and towels. The beds were kept neat and stocked with enough pillows. The breakfast is the highlight of the stay. It is a hot breakfast with lot of options to chose from. No one will go back hungry. Overall excellent!! We will stay again. The bonus are: there are free goodies for everyday, free EV charging for all the guests. These are huge. We used EV charging and works perfectly! You don’t need an account or credit card to charge the vehicle.
