Quality Inn Salinas City Center Area

Overall the place was ok, only issue was the dining options and on the app it said it had laundry service. However, when checking in and asking if it was available for customers to use there was none. A bit of false advertisement.

This was a last minute trip. So booked hotel the same day. It was perfect right off the fwy. Very convenient, easy to park and check in. Breakfast had decent options like cereal yogurt fruit wafle maker and coffee

Sketchy, creepy & scary. Room 310. 2 queen beds. 1 bed had huge stains on the top quilt, stains on the carpet throughout the room, no locking latch on the door, door frame pulled away from the wall, huge crawl space on the ceiling above the beds, people “hanging out/loitering” in front of the rooms. We did not stay nor did we get settled in. We went back to the front desk, checked out and did receive a full refund. Women, traveling in groups, pairs or solo …Do Not Stay here.

Parking easy. No place set up for breakfast

no tv remote, the elevator rattled and didn't open when I got to the 1st floor... won't return here again.

The man at the counter was very rude didn't even say hello when i checked in. My key didn't work and he acted like it was my fault for not doing it right but I've opened hotel doors many times and never had a problem. He was grumpy and should not be in customer service if he hates people. The carpet had stains everywhere, the fridge was disgusting, the bolt inside door was broken. Also there is way more rooms than parking so you will have a hard time finding a place to park if you get to your room late. I did not feel safe here and will never be back. I would advice to stay at the motel y next door. It looked clean and had plenty of parking and had a security outside.

Let’s just say the beds were clean and the AC worked. Otherwise, not much good to say. I was traveling with a granddaughter, so obviously two women alone. Had to ask for a top floor room. At least there was an elevator! Premises were dirty and rundown.

The elevator is clearly being used as a human toilet. The stench of urine was overwhelming. Inside the room, the carpet and chair were heavily stained; light fixture cover plates missing so wires were exposed. Would not recommend.

Room was dirty. Bathroom has mold and rust on tub and fixtures. There was trash under the bed. The matress on the beds had plastic making it uncomfortable to sleep.

Our room was quite dirty. The refrigerator was yellow inside the cable wires for the television we’re sticking out of the wall, not connected, the manager did come in and connect it, but it was rigged and not properly placed. I ended up taking a shower and was creaking so much. I thought I was gonna fall through the floor.

Disgusting room. Clearly dirty towels, sink did not drain, roaches in front of the tv when we laid down. There is mold in the bathroom. Dog poop on stairs. Representation thru Expedia is fake. Quality Inn should get new management over this location. Whoever is running it, is clearly not giving any attention to any type of basic cleaning. And the door key paper holder was reused and sticky and dirty. This place is worse than any place I have stayed.

It’s basically truck stop motel. The room was a little beaten up, grubby stains on door, wallboard patched in a couple of spots very incompetently. Toilet dark brown under rim, like it never is cleaned completely. Didn’t notice til I was sitting on the bed putting on my shoes. I’m tall, so I saw the top of the shower enclosure: I doubt that part’s ever been cleaned. I’ve got pictures.

The place felt old and poorly maintained. Guests were drinking and blasting loud music from a car right outside their rooms, which were also double parked. The elevator reeked of beer and had empty bottles scattered inside, giving off an unclean and unsafe vibe. While the room itself was relatively clean on the surface, the furniture was ripped and worn down. The bathtub had visible stains, and there was noticeable mold in the shower area. On top of that, the air conditioning didn't work at all, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Overall, this hotel felt more like a party hangout than a place to rest. It’s in desperate need of repairs, better maintenance, and stricter guest policies. I would not recommend staying here unless major changes are made.

Woefully unclean room. Black mold caked around shower head....top of shower stall has never been clean....doors with visible dirt and hand prints. Dead flies on the floor ....dried boogers on the bathroom walls...disgusting!

Check in took awhile, room had bad smell like mold. Dirty walls.

We had no hot water for almost two day. The lamps in the room not working. No phone in the room. The bed spreads old and stain. The spring Box way oversized. The refrigerator in the room not working. Overall bad experience.

This review is for my recent at the Quality Inn, Room 305, in Salinas, CA. Worst sleep ever, not because the bed wasn't comfortable, but because management decided to leave the plastic covering on what appears to be a new or newer mattress. I travelled nearly 4hrs, got in late, about 10pm and went directly to bed. The bedding immediately rustled loudly like I was sleeping on piles of plastic bags. In my tired state, I laid back and tried to dismiss the discomfort. No more than 20 mins into my slumber, I was awaken by excessive sweating from my back down to my legs. I don't sweat in my sleep nor was I breaking into a fever. I tried rolling from side to side, but each toss reverberated with the sound of crunching plastic. Between the acoustics and sweating, I don't know how I even managed an hour of sleep. To hotel management: you are doing your valued customers a disservice by covering up your mattress in what I can only imagine as an attempt to protect your investment. Well, you failed us, the folks who paid for the comfortable mattress and quiet sleep. The room had 2 queen bed, both covered in the same manner. I come to Salinas every year for the Spartan Race. I wil avoid the Quality Inn at all cost.

This Quality Inn is adjacent to the freeway, therefore it was never quiet. In addition, the room's faucet had the hot and cold water handles reversed on the sink.

Stains on bedding, plastic covered mattress was hot, uncomfortable, noisy, and caused sheets to come off.

Counter service is poor. I called to change booking and was placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes (he said hold for 5 minutes) before hanging up and calling back. When I finally checked in the clerk at the counter was SLOW and eventually gave me my room key. When I checked out the next morning, again, REALLY SLOW. I got a no smoking room but it smelled somewhat smoking and the room seemed barren with the towels in the bathroom and I didn't see the wash cloth, until after my shower since it was on the outside sink. I've stayed at Motel 6 as a last resort and Motel 6 rooms appeared better and cleaner than what Quality Inn Salinas represented.

They accepted a booking at 11:00pm at night and refused to give me a room when I arrived 30 minutes later, saying checkin was 3pm. Person on the phone was extremely rude about it, and I almost had to sleep in my car because I couldn't find another place within 30 miles. (could not book online after midnight).

The man who was supposed to check us in stated he was the manager and was rude and canceled my room along with my sisters room and nieces room

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

It is not in a great area of town, but we had a great stay. It is directly across from In-N-Out Burger and McDonald’s, so those were great options for elite dinner. We would definitely stay there again. I stayed there for two nights. There were two great things about this hotel. One, was the hotel worker Moses. he was very helpful and a super nice guy. Him and his wife, really. The other was something that was never mentioned, they have an on-site electric car charger. For free! I was able to charge my Tesla overnight and did not have to go find a charging station. Definitely recommend this low-cost hotel.

The onsite manager he is out of this world. helpful and quick to resolve any minor issues. room clean on a daily. amazing. I will certainly stay with the family next time. amazing hotel.

The management was rude. I had two sets of towels in my room. The cleaners took the clean towels the used and left me with no towels for the night. I went to the window and asked for towles. The on duty manager at 10pm told me to go away and was very very indignant. I was told to come back in the morning. Thus, poor service. No towels. Poor cleanliness. The rooms looked like it had not been cleaned in a year. I complained to corporate and they gave me a free room. This hotel is an insult to the Quality Inn franchise.

Was told not to stray too far alone given the neighborhood can be dangerous. Watched a couple drug deals go down on the property and hookers being brought in by their pimps. Not the properties fault as most the majors are next to each other here and they all have they same issue.

First and Foremost, this “hotel” is right on the most popular street for prostitution just FYI… Secondly, the freeway is right in front so just be aware of noise levels lol. Will I ever stay there again ? Probably not.. The place definitely needs renovating. Broken furniture, lights out , loud exhaust fan , etc.. I will say that the bed was comfy . Overall , my stay was ok but like I said ..just keep in mind the 2 things I mentioned above that way you can make the call to stay or not.

The property is in front of a McDonald’s and In n Out. Gas station and freeway very accessible. Overall is good

The property is full of prostitution, there is constantly women in and out of rooms with all sorts of men. All night there was loud noise. It is very unprofessional to allow this at a property where there are guests with family who have kids underage. Something needs to be done to have a better experience at this property. I will never be booking this place again and would never recommend this to anyone. Rooms are dirty and smell like cigarettes and weed.

Perfect location just off the freeway and not even noisy, opposite an in ‘n out too if you get hungry as well

It was in a good location to travel to Monterey Bay.

It was good. You need a car to get to downtown though. We tried to walk and I didn't feel comfortable.

The ac didn’t work the first night and I had to wait over an hour for my room to be ready. Then they had to offer me a new room due to the original not being ready. Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7am but wasn’t ready until 8, so I had to go elsewhere for food even though I paid for it

The staff was great and helpful, they offer a breakfast buffet which is so nice. Property was quiet, rooms are nice, modern, beds are so comfortable, room has iron & board, hair blow dryer, fridge, microwave & coffee pot. I definitely will make that my spot to stay when visiting Salinas.

Property is outdated, it was okay for one - two nights, breakfast was served in a very small are, they ran out of coffee for both days and we were told by the front office reception that it was not her issue as she was on vacation the last five days.
