Location was perfect and the reason we chose this hotel, easy walk to the pier and beach. Hotel was nice and clean. My only complaint would be the pretty high parking fee after booking a room that wasn't cheap, but we knew about it before booking so what can i say. The resort fee comes with a few perks that if you actually used them you could get some value out of them but we didnt end up taking advantage of any. All in all it was a good stay and the area was nice.

The hotel had a great location and easy secure valet parking. There is no gym or food on premises, but you can get a pass to a local gym that is great and there is plenty of food/coffee etc in the area, including at the Shore Hotel. The best part of the hotel experience were the staff, great all around.

I stay at Ocean View Hotel every three months for business, and it never disappoints. Hotel is really just a set of rooms and a reception. No bar which wasn’t made obvious on our booking. Rooms felt a little clinical as shutters and Lino floor. Staff were nice tho and water available to take out daily

Not enough amenities for the price. No pool, no workout area, no breakfast. Overall it is a nice hotel. Besides the broken ironing board in our room it was a nice spot! Customer service was great! Valet was cool too! Room was nice and clean and the oceanview was nice.

Conveniently located along the ocean two blocks north of the Santa Monica Pier. The hotel doesn’t have much to offer — no pool or outside area — which was disappointing when we saw guests at the neighboring hotel relaxing outside. They do offer free bike rentals so that was a plus. Room was quite large as was the bathrooms but the absence of towel racks was puzzling and rather annoying.

Ocean view location with excellent access to Santa Monica Pier and great shopping and dining. Easy access to major highways. Valet parking was very expensive and they did not openly promote the abiliy for you to park your own car at reduced rate so it felt like you only had the valet option.

The hotel’s location was great — very close to the beach and easy to access nearby amenities. However, we experienced some serious issues during our stay. Since the floors were open, there was a strong and unpleasant smell of oil and food both in our corridor and inside the room. When we complained, we were told the smell came from the pizzeria next door, but no solution was offered. Our room could have been changed, yet it wasn’t even suggested. Even after returning home, the clothes we had hung in the wardrobe still smelled of food and oil. Additionally, even though we might have forgotten to hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, it was unacceptable that housekeeping tried to enter the room as early as 7:30 a.m. Forgetting the sign should not mean guests can be disturbed that early in the morning. On the positive side, the towels, beach bag, and frisbee provided for the beach were a nice touch. The staff member who welcomed us at check-in was polite and helpful, but unfortunately, we didn’t experience the same level of attentiveness from others afterward. Overall, while the location was excellent, the persistent smell and lack of proper staff response negatively affected our stay.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now and both experiences have been amazing. We’ve stayed with 2 dogs before and it was an easy check in and out. It is right across the street from the Santa Monica boardwalk and has a ton of restaurants and shops nearby you can just walk to. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I love their showers!! There is minor noise which is normal anywhere. The front desk staff is so nice and polite and always helpful. This is for sure my go to hotel while in Santa Monica.

Great reception. Stored our luggage during the day while we were on a tour. Help with luggage. Walkable to shopping, beach, pier, shopping and several restaurants. We found the hotel was very quiet. Lovely, clean and spacious room. Very relaxing. Too bad we could stay only one night.

Staff was very nice, I just had an uneasy feeling (which is unusual for me) and it felt dirty. Hair on the bathroom floor, mold in the tired shower which bothered me much more than the dated room and bathroom. Had a wonderful rainfall shower head and an Excellent location across from the pier. I wanted to love it, I just couldn’t.

We stayed at the Ocean View for a b'day celebration and it did not miss.😊 We were literally across the street from the Santa Monica Pier and woke up to the beautiful shores of the ocean and palm trees. The rooms were small and did not have a fridge or microwave, but there was a microwave in the lobby. The staff was pleasant everyday; however, there was a slight issue our 2nd night there as the guest above is were letting their children run around in the room until 2am. I had to call front desk twice until the noice subsided. Overall, it was a nice stay and we will come back to Ocean View as long as we get the same (ocean view) room, lol

We stayed for one night in September 2024. Up on 4th floor and there’s zero water pressure so don’t expect to be able to have a shower or fill the kettle. Hotel was noisy but had little to no atmosphere. Shame there isn’t a bar in the hotel to at least get some sort of vibe. Not the cheapest on the beach either so definitely shop around.

Great hotel, quiet and perfectly located. Ocean view was great, room was clean and nice. Bathroom could do with an update. Shower pressure was extreme and no adjustable shower head so was a bit difficult to use, but overall a nice stay. Would stay again.

It's a good property. It's right across the street from the beach. The room is everything you need and nothing you don't. Main gripes is the internet is horrible, I come out here for work and try new hotels all the time and I had to leave to do my after-hours video calls at Starbucks and other coffee shops. It's really really bad. Also the sound travels a ton between rooms, I was woken up twice at 4am by my neighbor above me seemingly riverdancing. I informed the front desk both times and I think they called and resolved it, but sound travels a lot in the space. All in all, it's totally fine. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean. The location is great. Just don't go there expecting great internet and complete solitude. It may have been a one off experience though, but I won't be booking there again.

What I liked about this hotel is that it is in a great location and the property is new and clean. What I did not like is that there is no microwave in the room and there is no fridge in the room. Also there is no free bottled water in the room or in the entire hotel (unlike most other hotels).

When I checked into the hotel, no one explained anything about a destination fee. Upon checkout, I was surprised to find an additional charge of over $100. I didn’t understand why. When I finally asked about it, I was told it covered the use of the gym and bicycles, which I never used. But they still NOT Despite this, they still charged me.” I feel like I shouldn’t stay this kind of hotel anymore. I have to careful choosing Hotel.

Convenient location and clean. Unresponsive and indifferent front desk. Valet guy gets it and was awesome. Super noisy guest above me that started stomping, thumping things, moving furniture and slamming doors from 10 pm to midnight kept me from sleeping. And then started up again at 6:30 in the morning. Front desk interrupted me during my call for assistance and told me it was “the city “. Umm, yeah- I’ve stayed many cities, can tell the difference between noise coming from the room above and street noise. My colleague in another room had issues with a couple next door loudly arguing. In addition, they need to add black out curtains as the property lights shine right through the shutters.

The location of this hotel was perfect, mere minutes to Santa Monica Pier and beach with a fantastic view. The room was clean and the beds comfy. The staff were PHENOMENAL and really elevated the experience. We went with two small children and I felt comfortable walking around with them without issue and the surrounding areas. It’s also two or three minute walk to the Children’s Museum which is a nice bonus. We’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel room was clean, shower was really nice. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Received free towels to bring to beach, bicycles to ride around the city, free pass to fitness studio and discount coupons for dinner at local restaurants. Overnight parking for guest is little outrageous but otherwise we had great stay.

I'd like to express my appreciation to Mr. Cristian Morales and Ms. Joy at the front desk. Cristian is very helpful, patient, sincere, efficient and friendly while Joy is also sincere, helpful and friendly. They helped me throughout my entire stay at the hotel. Although the hotel does not have any restaurant, it is a convenient hotel where there are a lot of restaurants nearby, even within 30 second walk.

Great location beach side hotel across from Santa Monica pier. Loved our stay but things to note, there is no dining on the property but tonnes nearby. Also, can be a little noisy at night. Overall loved our stay!
