They imposed a mandatory 35 USD charges everyday at the hotel. We are forced to spend at the hotel or else we loose the amount. This is ridiculous and a day light robbery. We should not be forced to spend USD 35 everyday. We should be free to use our money elsewhere rather than confined to the hotel. Very bad business move. For this reason alone, I will never stay at this hotel ever again

Lovely hotel within easy access of Santa Monica town. Pool a lot smaller than pictures and always full of kids the 2 times we tried to use it - it's popular, but was put off by this. Gym facilities are modern.

Great hotel. - About a 7 minute walk to the pier (2 streets). - Very spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. - Very clean and modern. - Decent gym (for a hotel) and nice pool area. - For families, we found the laundry room a bonus ($5 for washer, $5 for dryer). Downsides: - $35 a day resort charge, however you do get $35 credit each day to use in the restaurant or their mini-mart shop (drinks, candy, etc) - 4pm check-in was a little late I thought. However, credit to them, they did allow a 1pm check out on request (usually 11am)

The hotel itself is okay, the rooms facing streets might occasionally get some noise at night but it's not too bad. Civic Center Parking Structure is right across the street so you can save yourself some parking fee. I don't recommend the restaurant onsite, the facility is good, but the food is very average at best, please find yourself a better chef. All in all, it's typical Hilton, you pay almost everything. I'm fine with $5 soft drink or $59 parking fee, what always annoy me is how Hilton insists that you join their membership to get free Wifi while every 3-star hotel is giving out WiFi for free. I ended up just using my cellphone signal as a protest.

Hotel location is very convenient. Short walk to beach, shopping, and grocery. Very walkable and we felt very safe. Parking is a tad on the expensive side but somewhat in the same price range as most of LA. Parking here is valet only hence with the tip when dropping off/pick up adds up. Pool temperature was OK. We definitely will stay here again.

Twelve years ago, I stayed at this hotel with great excitement and had a wonderful experience. That’s why I chose to return with my family for a vacation — but unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment. The room carpets had a strong, unpleasant odor, and to make matters worse, I had to kill a cockroach that appeared on the carpet at night. When I informed the reception, their reaction was shockingly casual — just an “Oh, that’s bad,” with no apology or effort to make things right. For a 4-star hotel and a recognized brand, this level of hygiene and customer service is absolutely unacceptable. I will never stay here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone!!!!

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Great location for walking into Santa Monica and acces to the freeway for getting into LA. We had a suite which was spacious and clean - perfect for our family. The kids loved the pool too. Marked down one star because of the cost of the parking $55 per day plus tax and also the housekeeping did not replenish things like cups or coffee pods so we kept having to ask for them. Other than that it was all good and I would stay here again

My family enjoyed our stay at The Hilton. We did have a bit of a rocky start with noise from the gym next door and AC not cooling the bedroom. However, the staff was very accommodating by reserving a new room for us. All in all, I would stay here again.

The views were stunning from our stay on the 17th floor! The room was definitely dated and could use some TLC, but it’s what we expected for the price, and we were happy to substitute a nicer room for the magical views. Housekeeping were absolutely lovely people! We felt really taken care of. If you don’t mind a little walk (10mins) to main amenities then it’s an ideal location for the views!

Great solid hotel in Santa Monica. I got the king size room with separate seating area. Comfortable bed, large room. Bathrooms is standard but super clean with very hot water Room had 2 large screen TVs. My only complaint is that the TVs were not enabled with steaming apps or ability to cast from Your phone. I strongly recommend management adding this feature. I would also suggest adding robes and slippers as well. Location is excellent and staff was super friendly.

Had a disappointing experience with the valet service. When I arrived and gave my last name, the valet repeatedly questioned it and made me spell it several times, while giving me a very dismissive and judgmental look. Santa Monica is quite a depressing area . Really it has let its self go . As we ate breakfast at a restaurant someone was going through the dustbins. There is rarely parking. Every area is neglected . The hotel is decent enough but the area is depressing. We left to Santa Barbara so much nicer .

The Santa Monica area has great shopping and food nearby, plus the pier. There are unhoused people everywhere in LA, that is a sad reality however in Santa Monica they have always been very polite and are not really a concern but pick pockets operate quite openly in the area and will try to use the crowds at the intersections around the hotel.

The hotel is conveniently situated close to the city center and beach. The staff is very polite and helpful and check-in was quick. On the other hand, meals and drinks in the hotel are very expensive and a 18 % service charge is added to everything. Also, there is no normal parking (only very expensive valet parking). Some rooms are also quite noisy as the hotel is situated in the corner of the freeway.

I was here for nine days and found the staff friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and a few days ordered off the menu. The food was very good. It was a convenient location, just a short walk to restaurants and the Santa Monica Pier, and close to I-10 and the Pacific Coast Hwy.

This hotel was fine, there were just some annoying aspects to our stay. The restaurant was very average - we ordered room service once and the food was dry and unimpressive. The parking is valet only and costs an extra $50/day, which is slightly annoying when you want to come and go multiple times per day. That said, the valet service was quick and the valets were very polite and courteous. The location is within walking distance to the beach and pier, as well as other shopping and restaurant options, which is very handy. The room was clean and quiet, although the layout of the furniture was a bit odd. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but I’d skip ordering any food from the restaurant.

Top quality hotel. Staff very welcoming so helpful. The amenities are amazing. My girls loved the swimming pool and the gym. Breakfast was great quality. The hotel cleanliness could not be faulted. Lovely relaxing lobby area too. Great base easy to walk to Santa Monica pier lots restaurants close by too. Thank you for making our end of holiday very enjoyable and relaxing

Property and staff were great. No drinking water supplied during the stay and grab and go were selling drinks including at extortionate prices. Not great for a 4 star hotel, I think it’s reasonable to have drinking water supplied for the rooms and not over charge for items in the hotel shop - understand that the hotel has to make a profit but the prices are embarrassing.

We stayed for 4 nights. Overall, it was convenient in terms of location: the pier and third street promenade was only 10mins walk, downtown trains only 5mins. However, the room was not worth a balcony premium and the traffic noise was very high right up until 23:00. A little over priced for what it delivers. Very specifically, stay away from room 334 as it is next to the gym and laundry room. We had gym users at very early and late hours constantly dropping free weights with the thuds very disturbing when you’re trying to sleep.
