They fit a lot into this compact resort! Location and room view of the beach and pier was amazing.The staff were incredible. Upon entry to leaving, everyone was extremely kind, helpful. They offered car service upon hearing we needed an uber (their Lucid was cool). Loved the water service station on each floor. The pool is small by resort standards if you are imagining Hawaii or similar, but for Santa Monica, it’s likely one of the best under four digits a night. Our main issue was the room AC wasn’t cooling the room and we were there at peak heat. They’ve certainly had this fixed by now. They quickly brought a fan which was helpful but only operated on low speed. There is a hopping club out front which was fun to hear from our balcony as we looked out at the Santa Monica pier with drinks at the end of the night. The door was very effective at eliminating the music when we were ready to turn in. If you really want to avoid any club sounds or sights, just ask for a room facing the pool side which most will also have views of the sunset I’m guessing. The room was nice, bed was very comfortable. They allowed us to have our room prior to 3pm because it was ready and a noon check out is more civilized than most hotels at 11am.

The hotel offer complimentary bikes on first come base, great option to get to know the area. 3 restaurants. Hotel staff are very helpful especially Danielle from the front desk and Angel, one of the hotel drivers. The hotel has a great outdoor Bar. It can get noisy if your room is above the bar. The gym is well equip. We needed to call housekeeping few times to remind them to bring towel to the gym.

Nice hotel that has a few key flaws. First, it's literally unbearable to be on the side of the hotel facing the night club (odd number rooms), especially below the top floor. There is pounding club music starting around 5p and going until 2a. It's literally unbearable and there is no way anyone could sleep through it. We requested and were moved to top floor of opposite side of hotel and the view was lovely and was quiet. Second, the pool is small and very crowded - almost impossible to get a chair and no attendees to help. There is a side section on the lawn, but not much room. Third, elevators failing so had to use service elevators entire time. Front desk and bar service were great. Valet ran about $60 per night for reference

The Fairmont Miramar Hotel was a wonderful experience. From the time we arrived until we left, the services were outstanding. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The location is fabulous and we will continue to use the hotel every time we visit the LA area. I highly recommend the Fairmont Miramar Hotel !

This is a beautiful property across the street from the ocean, get an ocean view room! There's a great coffee shop on the main level (Dogtown Coffee/Cafe) - try the lavender honey coffee, it's amazing! The room was well appointed, clean and modern. The king bed was comfy and lush. The only disappointing thing was room service for dinner one night - one knife, fork and napkin for two dinners plus they were to send a menu for additional in room dining, and didn't. The food was very good though.

Disappointing Experience – Not the Standard I Expect from Fairmont I recently stayed at this property and was deeply disappointed by the overall experience—by far the worst Fairmont I’ve encountered, and I’ve stayed at Fairmont hotels across four continents. The room I was assigned had a noticeably unpleasant odor and a visibly dirty carpet, which set a poor tone from the start. There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign available, and the television was not functional, which meant I had no access to hotel information through the in-room system. No print materials outlining hotel amenities were provided either, which left me guessing about the services available. Check-in was long and inefficient, and while James and Destiny at the front desk were kind and tried their best to assist, there was obvious friction between hotel staff and guests—particularly regarding Expedia reservations. The tension was palpable, and the overall attitude of the front desk (with some exceptions) felt defensive and unwelcoming. The food was below average, which is unfortunate given the Fairmont’s usual reputation for excellence in dining. This was, regrettably, my worst Fairmont experience. I will not return to this location and cannot recommend it. I expect much better from a brand that usually upholds such high standards of hospitality.

We were in an ocean view room with a king bed only to realize that a club in front of the hotel blasts music until 2am. We were moved, but to a room without a view of the ocean and with two twin beds. It should really be disclosed when booking that this is an issue. We were told the night we called that a handful of other people had called that night to complain.

The rooms are so dated. The shower looked like it must be 20 years old. Small, dingy rooms definitely not up to par with the amount they’re charging. Valet was a flat fee of $75 per day… insane. For the money I wish I had stayed at a hotel of the same rate but higher caliber, like the Santa Monica Proper. The restaurant ambiance and decor was nice, albeit extremely overpriced for mediocre offerings.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is so close to the ocean and to the shopping and dining at the Promenade. Our room in the Ocean tower was quiet (although small) and we slept well on comfortable beds. We rented bikes - super easy and free - from the hotel. Although we didn’t swim, the pool area is lovely. Definitely the best location and removed a bit from some of the crowds near the SM pier.

We reserved a Signature Suite Ocean View room. When we got to the room the view was of an apartment building across the street and the bathroom was half the size of the bathroom in the photo. I asked Ethan at the front desk and he explained that there are 3 “not very good” ocean view suites with no ocean view and much smaller bathrooms and I was unlucky and got put in one. I verified that the price is the same as the larger suite and he said yes. I verified that the photos did not match the suite I got and he said yes. He said nothing could be done, and nothing was done. I then went back to the room and called down for bathrobes which were supposed to be there. They said they would be right up. Never showed. The next day I tried again and they did deliver bathrobes. I requested turn down service every night and it happened 1 of the 4 nights. I am a big fan of Fairmont properties and this property did not live up to the Fairmont name. They will reply to this with a generic “we are sorry” and then take zero action. Buyer beware when booking.

Great location and views. I have stayed at several Fairmonts and this one was a disappointing stay. Bathrooms are dated, slow draining tub so when you shower water pools, shower pressure is poor, bath towels are same quality as bathroom floor mats. In addition, staff was slow to clean the room. We were gone from 8-4pm and when we returned room still had not been cleaned.

Great location. A bit dated but the lobby bar is nice, the Le Labo soaps were a nice touch and housekeeping were good. The south side rooms are VERY loud because of the outdoor night club. Made it hard to sleep. A private event was booked for all of Saturday that blocked many amenities and there was no prior communication to guests about it. Very disappointed in that.

Fairmont Miramar never disappoints. We live just over the hill but chose this place constantly for staycations or brunch at Fig. The staff is nothing short of amazing. We checked in early for Mother's day weekend and they had a room ready for us to enjoy. The pool staff was extremely helpful and setup our seats with no fuss and made sure to check on us throughout the day. We took advantage of the town car which is probably one of their best amenities! They dropped us off at the pier and picked us up within 5 mins of calling it in. There is no doubt we will be back soon.

Horrible experience. Been a gold member for ever and had the worst treatment. Late check in. Someone said they would call us when room was ready never did. Was told would have late checkout for inconvenience and never got that either. Sat by pool for 3 hours did not get addressed or served once

Check in was great, Andre from Fairmot provided a welcoming and absolute 1st class checkin experience. For a one-night stavy however, the room however were not up to Fairmont standards when I had to spend 3 hours coordinating Engineering on several issues.HVAC, Shower problems etc. Would be nice if hotel desk staff could do more then provide plesant smile and apologies... while negotiating to "try" and give you 12:30 late checkout instead of 1pm ;^/ Sushi Bar at the hotel Masa is worth a mention and a shout out. The best most fresh fish I've tasted in a sushi bar ever. Tiny place, Tokyo style with Omakase worth saving all year to enjoy (yea, its expensive). But if you love real Japanese sushi... And of course, Santa Monica was beautiful and the view from the room fabulous.

I normally love Fairmont. But this stay was different. Our room wasn’t ready upon check in at 4 pm. We decided to get a drink and wait. After an hour and a half, it was finally ready. They didn’t offer to cover our round of drinks until our waitress spoke up and asked them to since we had been waiting so long. We got up to the room and it reeked of smoke. It was clear the people before us had been smoking. I called to see if we could get another room as it was so strong our eyes were watering. They told me there was nothing that could be done as they were fully committed. They offered to bring us a candle. Seriously? We opened all the windows to try to air it out but it really didn’t help. Woke up in the middle of the night with the smell of smoke all encompassing. Called again the next night to see if we could get moved. Nope. No chance. The elevators also went out of service the whole time we were there, which I get things like that happen. But the lack of attention to customer service isn’t okay for the Fairmont. We should all expect more from them because we want to love them!

Det er et gammelt hotell og det kan vel klassifiseres som gammeldags luksus. Hotellet var fint nok det og det manglet ikke på hverken på spisesteder eller hjelp fra hotellansatte. For oss, en familie på 4 (2 voksne og 2 tenåringer) så ble kanskje ikke helt som vi så for oss. Jeg hadde nok satt dette som et 4+ hotell. Merk at alt er dyrt på hotellet. Beliggenheten er derimot helt ypperlig.

La piscine est toute petite pour un hôtel qui est très grand, les Chambres ont peut-être une vingtaine d’années. Si ce n’est pas 30. Il n’y a pas une seule bouteille d’eau ni un mini barre dans la chambre l’hôtel ne donne pas du tout sur la plage il faut traverser une route à cinq voies et ensuite descendre cinq escaliers voilà la réalité

Well located, comfortable bed, plenty of clothes storage and good breakfasts (charged). Dining options limited, nothing available after 10.00 pm when we arrived, not even a sandwich or room service. No snacks or drinks in room, fridge empty. Plentiful free drinking water.

Very nice resort hotel. Convenient location in Santa Monica but not too close to the pier area. Christmas decorations were outstanding. Love that fig tree. We spent some time in the lobby bar and enjoyed talking with bartenders. Tried happy hour at the Fig Restaurant which was great! Love the Dogtown Coffee Shop on site.

The Fairmont Miramar is a fantastic place to stay with a beautiful oceanfront location that really adds to the experience. It’s just minutes from the Santa Monica Pier, which makes it great for exploring the area. The service at the pool is excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who make you feel welcome. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast at Fig Restaurant inside the hotel. The food was always fresh and tasty, and it quickly became our favorite morning spot. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Our room had plumbing issues and the front desk did not explain things when we checked in. The valet service was great and always avaliable. Rooms where clean. The food was good but expensive and limited selection.

Check in was 1 hour late, I ordered to signature cocktails which were hastily made. They were $25 each and no effort put into their presentation. I questioned whether or not there should be a garnish with the cocktail. I didn’t get an answer, but I did get a dried orange on a plate. I guess the garnish was missing. I sent the drink back and once it was ultimately resolved it’s not the service I expect from a hotel like this.
