The bar is hardly that don't order a drink the bar tender is a glorified cashier. The Starbucks is not in fact a Starbucks but they bought Starbucks brand coffee to sell you. The drinks are 20 dollars for 1. 8 oz glass. But we had fun the pool is heated and private

The bathroom doesn’t have a vent so humidity builds up and has nowhere to go. As soon as you open the room door, the smell of mold punches you in the face. The bathroom is even worse. The room has carpet which felt damp or sticky the whole time, likely due to absorbing moisture. I tried opening a window to get some fresh air but you could only crack it open 2-3” because metal safety (?) clips were drilled into the window frame.

Common areas and staff were nice. The room smelled VERY strongly of mold and mildew. Air conditioning was super loud. Bathroom floor corners were not clean. Otherwise the room and property were fine.

This is the second time staying at this property and both times our room has absolutely reeked of sewerage. Both times the hotel staff appear to be aware of the situation and change our room without even coming up to look at it. It’s just disgusting that they even give these rooms out and clearly there is a problem at the hotel that needs to be fixed. Genuine health concern.

The room was very small. The room needed help. The curtains were torn and the bathtub needed to be recalked. Sofa was uncomfortable. For the price per day I expected better from a Marriott. We didnt pay for breakfast but its just order at a counter. We wint be staying there again.

I stay at this facility for the convenience to my family. Even though there are kids over weekend for events they are attending, it is quiet. Staff is professional and rooms are clean. The only thing noted this stay was my refurbished room, the drapes were torn and tub was worn, with rust and cracked tile. Hopefully next stay these will be replaced.

Room was clean. Bathroom is spacious. Close to the freeway and shopping. Staff was nice. They hung out in the back but they were nice when they came out. Restaurant staff and food were great.

The front desk staff member welcomed us on arrival and was very professional and courteous. Our room was pretty quiet except for the sound of the air conditioner, it was a little loud. The reason I have 3 stars for the staff is because of the staff member at the breakfast counter the morning of the 22nd. She was unwelcoming, impatient and almost rude, it’s like she was resentful. Not acceptable customer service. We were patient with her and decided to try breakfast anyway to give the place a chance. But then we noticed she was courteous to the other customers after us. It was very disappointing. I usually like the Marriott hotels breakfasts, we stayed in more than a few Marriotts. I will think twice now to stay at the Marriott in Simi Valley. We plan on coming back in the future to see other sites but unfortunately, I think I may look for another place to stay.

We could never get the air conditioner to cool the room properly. A free continental breakfast would be nice for the price we paid for the room. The breakfast that is offered is very pricey. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Sorry, I will not be back to this hotel. Friendly staff. AC was very weak, both nights I couldn’t sleep. Turn AC to highest but it’s still too warm in the room. I only used a thin sheet as blanket to sleep. Shower head water pressure is weak also. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room, left tips in room to find out no service and no clean dry bath towels for second night. Monday morning, garage collection truck woke me up very early given that I couldn’t sleep the night before til late due to weak AC system. Sorry but I do not recommend this courtyard Marriott facility, disappointing experience.

We had a nice room not the worst and not the best but middle of the road decent. Our biggest complaint would be trying to watch a movie and it kept freezing and was struggling to load the whole time. Very frustrating!

Hotel room was spacious and clean. I booked the 2 queen beds with the sofa pull out and it fit my husband and I along with our 3 boys for a World Series tournament. Costco is across the street, Walmart is walking distance. Perfect location right off the freeway.

This was an excellent stay at Courtyard by Marriott Ventura Simi Valley. The location was great for us and close to everything we were attending. Large room, with large bed, and spacious bathroom.

The hotel front desk gave me a room very close to the highway. I needed a non-smoking room, but when I walked into the room, I smelled a very pungent odor, and I was furious. The next morning's breakfast employee on the hotel's first floor had a very unfriendly attitude. Her service made me uncomfortable. My son was speaking English because of his braces, and she was telling him that she couldn't understand my son's English. I repeated what my son said after I heard this restaurant waitress answer. I think she should learn to respect others.

After driving from San Francisco I was looking forward to my room and then having dinner in the hotel while working on my laptop. Instead I was told that I would have to stay at a nearby Best Western. Huge difference in price between these two properties and huge difference in comfort and safety. So I loaded all my belongings back into my car and headed to Best Western. I'm a woman who travels alone for business so I choose properties that I feel are secure. Not properties where the door is facing a street. Despite the fact that I had already paid almost $250 for my room, they would not find another room for me in their hotel. Said there was a plumbing issue. I'm sorry, the parking lot was not full, it was a Tuesday and it's a huge hotel...I'm not believing that it was sold out. I have no idea why they booted me and had no choice but to go to Best Western where my sleep was interrupted by loud banging and loud voices arguing at 3:30 in the morning. Although Marriott refunded my money and paid for my night at Best Western, they should have at the very least offered me a one nights stay in one of their properties for the HUGE inconvenience they caused. I may not ever again stay at a Marriott if this is their norm.

Check in was terrible. Started out the room I reserved wasn’t available. Don’t understand when I reserved and paid in advance. Why the hotel wouldn’t hold the room. Then the lady tried to make a joke out of the situation, which made it worse. This experience was so bad. I am not staying at this property again. This was my go to property when visiting family in Simi Valley. Several times each year.

I was very happy with the check in process The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. TV options could have been better. Although I was very disappointed by the housekeeping staff that woke us up on our check out day at 8:30 am and continued knocking on our door several times after that. Check out was at noon! Annoying

The property was clean and conveniently located near a lot of dining and activity options. Our check in took quite a while-we requested adjoining rooms as we were traveling with our children and that was the best setup for us. Apparently the guests who had the room before us had the option to check out late so we had to wait for the rooms to be cleaned until well after the normal check in time. It was fine but it would have been nice to have been notified ahead of time that this was the case as we had been traveling all day with 4 young children and had dinner plans with family that began at a set time.

Pleasant stay at hotel visiting family in Simi Valley. Liked the coffee bar and breakfast options. Staff was friendly, but initially errored in not including breakfast (which we had paid for when making reservations). Comfortable room and bed, however noise of heating system was a bit of a distraction. Also, the tv placement in the room left the person on left side of the bed seeing only part of screen.....very strange.

Rooms are currently being renovated in this location,so a nicer perk during this stay. Property, lobby and rooms are always clean. Nice cafe downstairs for coffee and breakfast. Cozy bar area for an evening cocktail. Did not use gym this time, however has basic equipment. Highly recommend

The staff was awesome and the mattresses were amazingly comfortable. You could tell the facility was an older building when in our bathroom. The main problem was not enough help in the cafe. The one lady who was working was wonderful it just took a long time to get our grilled cheese sandwiches because she was having to be the one taking our orders, money, food, as well being the waitress for us and others. Disappointing for us as hungry travelers...The food was great and so was the lady who took care of us!
