Extended Stay America Suites - Los Angeles - Simi Valley

I would not call it a breakfast, wouldn’t even call it a continental breakfast.. they had 2 types of coffee, some blueberry breakfast bars, some small, single-serving blueberry muffins, some small packaged, wheat thin type snacks and that’s about it. ‘Snacks and coffee on the go’ is what it should really have be called... but to call it ‘breakfast’ is a far-reaching overstatement. As for the room it was ok, beds were comfy, AC worked well, ironing board had a broken leg and was barely hanging on by a thread. Kitchen was in good working order. There were no toiletries with the exception of a bar of soap for both the sink and bathtub… no shampoo or conditioner. I was glad I had brought some for the trip. The facility was quiet and they did have a good selection of items in vending machines that were located in the laundry room. In all, I was disappointed in the so called ‘breakfast’ they were offering as we could have secured a room alternate hotel for about $40.00 less. I would not go back if the opportunity arose.

Windows don't operate/broken-fire hazard furniture beat up. Toilet plugged and when I called maintenance to fix it they gave me a used loaner plunger. shower drained slow. No ice machine in the entire hotel. complimentary breakfast is granola bars and Quaker oats. The price was supposed to be $112 per night but was over $200 per night and that was a weekly rate. I thought it was a hotel for business stays but it looked more like it was for the homeless and people fighting additions or someone just released from prison. Motel 6 would have been an upgrade and for less than half the money. Do yourself a favor and just sleep on a park bench at least then you know what you're getting

I booked a room with semi-kitchen, but there are no equiptment to use, no glasses, kitchen utensils, cookware, etc. Everything still has to be asked from the frontdesk. No coffeemaker/perculator or water bottles in the room. The free breakfast is a joke. 1 Granola bar and coffee/tea/hot choco, that's it. No pool nor gym.

Large room, multiple windows that open, a desk, full bathroom, full kitchen with pots, pans, tableware even a collander. It was so nice to have full.size fridge and stove to cook on as opposed to limited microwavelable.food . Staff waa awesome, friendly and i will.stay here again. I heard bad things but im.here to.counter all of that this property was best no.pool but so what

It’s next to the freeway, but you don’t hear it unless the window is open. The front desk staff is wonderful. Pet friendly place (love it).

Nice safe quiet pet friendly

We stayed here for 10 nights. The staff were very helpful and always were on hand to help with any questions. The hotel is clean and the rooms have pretty much everything you need. Parking was always available and there are basic breakfast grab and go options. We would definitely stay here again.

It was average. No shampoo, lotion, coffee maker, or extras blanket in the closet. No ice on the premises during a heat wave. Served our purpose for a place to sleep. Kitchenette was a nice adders

“Free breakfast” is coffee and nutri-bars. Full kitchen with no utensils, cups, plates. Stating they “ran out”. Customer service was trash mixed with micro-aggressions. Refused to provide paper cup for tea in the evening. Tub, but no stoppers. Dirty air vents and sink drains. Overpriced snacks. No toiletries. Old furniture. Peeling paint. No ice machine. No dish soap to wash ice tray.

Expedia describes included services as included breakfast. A coffee station doesn’t count as breakfast! The entire hotel smelled bad and there was no necessities like a lot of hotels have. No ice machine, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner in rooms. The microwave was broken in our room and no soap to wash dishes.

The bathroom was filthy and the kitchen had hair all over the counter. The bath tub has what looked like buggers and poop on the handles. Bathroom was not cleaned and inspected. Very disappointed. The room was# 211 on Tuesday night March 5th. I would like to see reimbursement because I had to purchase cleaning supplies in order to take a shower.

The hotel was fine for our needs as we were only there one night. I was assuming there would be a little more at breakfast, but there was only granola bars and oatmeal packets. It wasn't for me on that particular morning, but it's more than most other Extended Stays I've visited have offered. My only real complaint would be that our bathroom did have a bunch of hair in the tub and the sink cabinet was a quite dusty. For these I just wiped the cabinet with a soapy paper towel and rinsed the tub with some dish soap we brought. The pros to this location was that the bed and kitchen were very clean. The bed was comfortable and I loved that they didn't have an overly heavy comforter on the bed. I fell right to sleep after a long night a Halloween event and slept comfortably. Overall, I would stay here again for my quick trips no more than a couple of nights though. If we were staying longer I would have said something about the minor cleaning issues, but for the night I just didn't see it as a being worth bothering anyone.The staff was friendly and the local was easy to find for our first time visit.

Unfortunately I would not recommend, even as a cheaper/budget option. There was hair in the bathtub and on the cloth shower curtain. Hair on the pillows. Stains on the sheets. And although I'm pretty sure this is a smoke free hotel, the room smelled like an ashtray.

Very nice and clean accommodation

Very clean room with comfortable beds!! Did have a problem with the toilet flushing but it was quickly repaired. Hotel is in a great convenience location. Will definitely return!

The room smelled and it was not the cleanest. They also only clean rooms every 14 days. It's too bad that people don't take pride in cleaning

Smelly, not clean, bed not comfy

The only thing that was such a shame is that the hallways smelled so strongly of pot smoke - to the point that we could smell it in the room. We had to grab towels from the bathroom to stuff under the door in hopes of stopping the skunky stench. Sadly, for this reason, as much as we loved this hotel, we would never return or recommend it to anyone. It is really criminal what we now have to deal with these days. Some always seem to ruin it for the rest.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our last minute trip. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again!

The breakfast is VERY minimal. The room doors we very hard to open. The shower was pathetic. The beds were hard.

Generally speaking everything is average at this place except the WiFi speeds which are below pathetic. You could get faster connections back in the late 90’s. Terrible. I measured 380kbps peak download speed, averages of 270kbps.

It's well maintained and friendly staff. Only issue was that hardness of the mattress. But, no real issues at all!

Love that it was nice and clean, also super spacious and exactly what we needed. If you're looking for comfort, this is it but if you want an over the top hotel, it probably isn't for you.

Good for a quick stay and good size mini kitchen.

The room is very spacious but it’s also old and could use a fresh coat of paint. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the bathroom is descent.

Internet connectivity was absurdly slow.

The queen beds were actually a full size mattress. The mattress’ were very uncomfortable. We rented 5 rooms due to a wedding and everyone complained about the beds.

Roxanne was an exceptional hotel staff member. I had very pleasant interactions with her throughout my stay and she was a pleasure dealing with. Please let her know her value to your organization.

There was dirty shoes that were not ours under the bed, a dog toy and dirt, the entire hallway smelled of pot and cigarettes, we asked for late checkout, they gave us 30 minutes and we were 15 min late and they left a voicemail saying our belongings would be put in lost and found. They were rude, zero customer service. I have stayed there before and it was not this bad. Not sure what happened. Motel 6 blows them out of the water. Sad!

Overall the place was fine, customer service the worst, seating in the back, when i try to pay with cash i was told no cash card only the staff helping me was not rude but not nice either, I suggest that your website should mention no cash card only before we do the reservation so we know before hand because there is some people that dont have card to pay

Everything was great from the awesome check in personnel to the clean property to the cozy, clean room. Everything went sour when I was harassed about the late check out time promised by the night shift person. The person knocking on my door said that check out was now. I called the front desk only to be argued with and be told, “There is no late check out to one pm.” Basically, I was being called a liar. I walked down to the front desk, unbrushed, and in my pajamas to discuss this in person. AGAIN, I was argued with by the snotty front desk employee. Then, like magic, she found the note from nightshift stating EXACTLY what I had stated. I was told, “Be out by 1pm. Any time over that, I will charge you for another night.” It’s sad that one employee could take a 5 Star rating down like this.

Everything was fine with the stay except for I needed to check in late. My wife called the hotel to let them know. They said that reservations automatically get canceled at midnight. I ended up arriving after mi night like I told them. They had to figure a way to che k me in. The staff was nice about it, but after driving 8 hours and then having to deal with this was not great a great experience. I would recommend people not stay here, if you have to arrive late.

The staff there was very rude very unaccommodating. Not very friendly we were new the area needed a place to sleep for the night and couldn’t because we didn’t have the ID of the other person that was with me. Wouldn’t even let us show a picture of his ID.

Very nice location, just off the highway, good parking and good dining shopping options near by. Staff was very friendly and the room was very nice, clean and comfortable.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend it if you are looking to stay for a longer period of time. A big benefit is that it is easily accessable to the 118 freeway (entrance/exit is right next door).

Nice clean close to alot of stores food and a bowling alley and fwy highly recommended would stay agian

Should have more than a muffin for breakfast and keep coffee hot and filled during breakfast hours. Nice enough facilities but over priced for what you get

Staff was very good and they agreed for a late checkout on a last minute request. Although I had to remind them about extension and had to checkin again in person to get new access cards although I was using the same room. Worst was the muffins which were served and it had Fungus in them. Absolutely ridiculous.

Just passing through and bed was comfortable, kitchenette is very handy and the continental breakfast was nicely stocked with dark chocolate cocoa, decaf instant coffee and oatmeal packs

The staff was nice, and the room was clean, but no frills. Nothing in the kitchen unless you buy a kitchen package. All we wanted was a bottle opener, so another guest had to help us. A little misleading in the reservation as there is NO Breakfast only a coffee bar. It was only one night, but will not stay at an Extended Stay Hotel again.
