The Lodge was beautiful, rooms were comfy, and their shuttle service is great. The restaurant food is fantastic and the poolside bar truck is a fun addition. The fire pit is also great and the grounds itself are very pretty. The jacuzzi could use some revamping, and some of the pool daybeds. We had stains on the comforter of one of our beds and a towel. Other than that, the room was beautiful. The wine happy hour in the lobby is a nice touch!

The property price to quality is good, so close to excellent. They just need to update the rooms but I would stay here again. Only complaint was parking is limited and with weddings over the weekend we had to park a ways away from our room.

Beautiful property - great lobby/fire/bar/restaurant. Fun pool and hot tub. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are fab. The hotel spa is supreme. We stay every year over Thanksgiving and plan to keep doing it. It is so close to Sonoma Square - great restaurants, bars, wineries, and shopping. Great hiking and biking nearby.

The pool was great - unfortunately it was shut down for a significant portion of one day and the deck was being serviced another day. Appreciated the upgrade to a cottage after a few hours delay checking in - front desk service was hit and miss bit overall helpful. Overall a great place to stay - borrowed bikes for a riding tour of a couple of wineries.

The resort was perfect for a girls trip! I loved all of the amenities included in the resort including yoga classes, happy hour with tastings from local wineries and the bicycles. The staff were very friendly. I also loved how the resort was a quick bike ride away from Sonoma Square. I would recommend it!

The Lodge at the Sonoma was a great place to vacation. The facilities offered a lot for visitors from pool to wine tastings. The fitness center was a good perk too. It has the feel of being a little extra without going to extreme. Highly recommend.

The Lodge is a luxurious experience - our favorite amenities are the complementary shuttle (makes traveling with wine tastings so safe & conveinent), daily tasting featuring local wines, friendly kind staff, yoga on property, luxe spa experiences, and (when warm weather) the pool is very nice. Pet friendly is such a plus - my pup got a comfy bed & a bag of treats - it was nice that the Lodge had my room ready for both myself & my pup!

Amazing grounds, super comfy bed, the only thing was the tub looked like it hadn’t been bleached in years. But everything was literally gorgeous. The spa was amazing as well.

The front desk staff was rude or incompetent or both. It depended on the individual, but not one person at the front desk seemed to give a damn about their job or the guests. The rooms are definitely not in good condition and smelled bad. Couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I stayed there a couple years ago and it was ok, but not this trip. I won’t be staying there again. The cleaning staff did a good job and were very pleasant.

Great landscape and outside cottage sitting area. Wonderful restaurant. Inside cottage was old carpet and it wasn't clean well. A little dusty furniture. Small countertop area in the bathroom and surprise no hangers or knobs for towels ( only one). Great that hotel had offers and discounts for local parks.

Lovely property. Rooms are large and comfortable. The closet/bathroom door combo is a nice aesthetic, but given the weight of the door, a handle on the interior would be nice to have. The other odd thing is the width of the tile around the bathtub/shower (which needs to be cleared to get into the shower). It's high and wide, creating an opportunity for a slippery accident. The gym was equipped with enough items to provide a good workout. Wit and Wisdom is excellent and don't miss the truffle fries at Benicia. Easy to walk to downtown (1.1 miles) and appreciate the ability to self park without additional charges.

The general areas are nice. Our room was not great, we had a broken door to the patio that would not open and the door handle fell off when I tried to open it and the bathroom door to the toilet would not shut.

PROs: Beautifully styled hotel. Great pool area. Amazing restaurants on-site. Nice spa and hot tubs. Daily free wine tasting in lobby. CONs: A little further from the main town area than I thought when booking, but a very easy 4 min drive. Walls in hotel rooms were extremely thin - we could hear everything our adjoining neighbours were doing in their room - and they weren’t being loud at all (toilet flushing, opening / closing closet doors, TV etc). I don’t know what could have been done to easily fix this, but we would have expected a little better sound proofing in a well-appointed hotel.

Outstanding stay! We were there for 5 days for our wedding festivities. And this place is worth every penny. From the yummy food, to the comfy expansive rooms and welcoming staff. The attentive people that work there are awesome! Shout out to William, Edgar, Daniel and Raul! They made it so fun for us. Management staff made us feel right at home! We will be back.

A beautiful hotel and a gorgeous room. The service was consistently substandard throughout; check in, room not being cleaned (having to call 3 times), unhelpful front desk at the spa, having to ask for everything x 3 times at the restaurant to get served/receive the check. I think they were very busy but when you're paying $1000k per night, the service should be flawless.

The pool area was adequate! the service was slow and sometimes non existent. one person serviced the whole area on a weekend. the grounds are beautiful. it is quite confusing to find your room, but the housekeepers tried to be very helpful. we had a friend with limited mobility in our group. it was not a good choice for someone limited as you may have to walk quite a ways to your room or cottage. more appropriate for younger people and families. the staff at the front desk were not extremely helpful. the wait to get into your room was long, but was before the 4pm check in. i think it's a lovely destination, but just not the right place for a group of women in their seventies.

Lovely property and friendly staff. Use of bikes was a bonus. Good food at restaurant onsite. Was a bit far from the plaza but there was a shuttle that ran from 2pm until 10:30pm. Hotel room is showing it’s age a little bit.

The property itself was really nice. Stayed there because we wanted to eat at Wit and Wisdom and explore Sonoma instead of the other side of the wine country (Napa or Healdsburg); but It was closed on Monday (Labor Day) and Tuesday and this was not stated as such when we booked, so extremely disappointed in that…..probably will not go back just because of this and stay in healdsburg/napa area in the future once again as the restaurants in the area are not closed two days a week and more accessible. I understand the Sonoma area is struggling and wanted to help support the area but was not happy with all of the Monday/Tuesday closures as things were very limited.

Our stay was very pleasant. I was hoping for a bit nicer bed and bath linens. The hotel and room are beautiful. The dinner at Wit and Wisdom was delicious. Breakfast at Benicia was delicious as well. The staff seemed like they were new to the service industry. We would definitely love to come back for a longer stay.
