An older place but great value for cost. We had included breakfast every morning and access to the outdoor pool, which was a fun family activity! It was one of our home bases for our Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park trip with a toddler.

Water temperature fluctuated greatly in the shower between freezing and burning. Pool and hot tub were murkey and green. Toilet paper holder fell off the wall during our stay. Would not recommend.

The property was decent close to the park. Room is decent and clean. Pool was nice but hot tub was not working. Website needs to be updated to say they don’t serve continental breakfast any more. The property had a nice park like setting and outdoor seating. They should make their signage easier to see from the road

The only thing i like was the little playground for my kids. Everything else was not good. The room had a bad smell. We try to go in the pool because my kids love to swim and it has dead moskitos and flys. The water was very cold. Also the toilet was not clean. The room door was so hard to open. Not enough towels. The fridge was not working.

The pool was green. The tv had 7 channels and not all of them had sound. The ice machine had bugs in it. I would not stay here again.

No frills roadside motel with great pool and play area for kids. Breakfast was not fancy but perfect to fuel up before heading to the National Parks. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Perfect respite after camping for two nights.

Very nice property, convenient to Sequoia National Park. Lady at check was very courteous, promptly switched us to ground floor when requested. Spacious room, lovely pool, which we had all to ourselves. Breakfast included, but it was just waffles, coffee and some fruit.

From the photo I thought we were on the water. That turned out to be a gravel berm for the flood control basin. We could faintly hear the creek and see the foliage. My mistake. This is an older facility. Breakfast was quite limited. The pool was lovely. But closed. Maybe it was being worked on. Easy drive to Sequoia from Ash entrance.

Really outdated, beds were not comfortable and pillows were old and lumpy. Pool has a ring around it. Guy was cleaning the water but tile is so dirty. Breakfast was good. They kept it stocked some plates were dirty.

Provide a good pool but only provide 1 set of pool towels per stay. Installation a bit dated but seems they started renovating bathrooms and furniture in rooms, still a lot open to do. Keep on going, as the location is great, close to the NP as well the river - much appreciated as it was a heat wave with 110 F.

We found bed bugs.

This property is disgusting!! Cockroaches inside the room! Manager didn’t do anything to accommodate after we told them about the roaches. They said we must’ve left the door open when all we did was go there to sleep! We weren’t there all day. In order to rid of them they’d have to bomb the place. I don’t see them doing so as they didn’t care to fix it with their disgusted guests. DO NOT STAY HERE

The lobby smelled Terrible, the rooms were visibly dirty, the sheets had stains, the rooms covered in spider webs, the restroom needed a lot of maintenance . Faucet need replacing, tiles were super dirty. The heater took 3 hours to start working and when first turned on it smelled like it was burning .

This place was so gross. Giant cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the bathroom, the room walls and the door were filthy, I didn’t even want to think about sitting (let alone sleeping) on the bed. There was a foul stretch outside our door, we scrambled to find another place that same night and checked out and paid again to stay somewhere else. Seeking a refund through hotels.com now.

There was small hole in the corner of the bathroom where a spider was coming out of so I plugged it with toilet paper. The floor looked nice but my white socks showed that it had not been mopped for awhile as they were black on the bottom. When we woke up the next morning I found 3 dead cockroaches on the floor in various places.

Unclean, hair on the beds and the shower. Needs to be cleaned. Would not stay again.

Property was in very poor condition as was our room. Cleanliness was the biggest issue with the bare floors dirty even after we asked to have them specifically cleaned after our 1st night. All the spaces in bathroom and wet sink area needed to be thoroughly cleaned. No bath products left after we asked that room be serviced. The patio needed hosed down! Not a clean space to sit! Breakfast consisted only of bread, waffles and coffee. Stay away from this hotel!

I don't think areas in the bathroom or the bathroom window had been cleaned in years. The floor was not clean. The bedding was dirty. The TV was tiny. The fridge unbalanced and nearly tipped over when attempting to open it.

Roaches in room. Left and went elsewhere. Owner would not refund money. Said he had sprayed the rooms. Roaches still alive!

When check in and check out the whole office had strong unpleasant Indian food odor. No complementary breakfast , not even coffee. spider web all over the room ceiling corner. Sink was rusty. No hangers in the room. Fridge was not cold at max. Shower head water came out very very slow. Pillows was terrible and uncomfortable and had smell odor seems from inside out, not from the pillow case itself.

The room had an "old" smell and looked like it had recently been renovated but looked old. The bathroom was not well kept, there were dusts/stains on the walls. The room did not have central ac, just a window unit that was loud and probably contributed to the musty smell. The beds were fine and we had a good night sleep. It wasnt until the morning that we found bugs (not sure but looked like roaches) all over the sink counter. The lighting was bad so I'm not sure if there were more around. I will not be returning or recommend this place!

Private, quiet and beautiful. Room was spacious and comfortable and the views were fantastic! Would definitely stay again.

Location was good to visit National Park. The lobby looks a bit tired and as if it’s used as owner’s personal living room. Front staff were okay but not very helpful. No breakfast was available. Shower never stayed the same temperature so either scalding or freezing. Room was clean and swimming pool was a nice asset. Parking was good.

Would have been great if they allowed for an early check in, its not like they were booked solid with no available rooms. Room was large, clean and comfortable

Very clean. Beds were super comfortable. Staff kind and friendly. Pool was a good temperature, refreshingly cool but not cold. The rooms are dated and a bit tired but again, very clean and maintained. Water temps for showering were very good. Pretty quiet. View is gorgeous and in walking distance of some fun little hikes to a river. I would stay again with no hesitation.

I recently stayed at the Western Holiday Lodge in Three Rivers, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. The hotel is in very poor condition and desperately needs renovation. The room, as well as the general hotel premises, were filthy. There was dust everywhere, and the decor is very dated. The shower had painfully slow water pressure, making it difficult to rinse off, and there was visible mold in several areas around the room, which is unacceptable. The road-side sign advertises breakfast included, but this is misleading as no breakfast was provided. Frankly, even if breakfast were available, I wouldn't want to eat here given the overall lack of cleanliness. The only positives were its proximity to the entrance of Sequoia National Park and the inclusion of WiFi. However, the WiFi dropped quite often, making it unreliable. This hotel really needs to close for a complete refurbishment and deep clean before allowing more customers to stay. I can't recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable stay. Save yourself the trouble and find another option in the area.

This was just ok - really dated, noisy a/c, really slow check in process. Was only staying the night. Cute town.

Adorable mountain lodge. Our room was very quiet and safe. Room was clean and offered a fireplace and a private patio with a view. Lots of beautiful trees on property and very close to the park and restaurants.

Overnight stay, room clean and bed comfortable, air con unit very noisy and disturbs sleep - byo ear plugs recommended.

Although some staff were okay, others were not friendly and did not seem happy to serve us. Upon departure, we could not park near out room because someone was washing their car. Also, we had to walk thru a puddle of water right at the bottom of the stairs in order to get to our truck.

LOVE IT! The lady in the front didn’t explain much about the rooms, or if the breakfast was included, or even the WiFi password. However, the room was clean, the place it’s quite, it has a little spot for the kids to play and also has a pool(because of the weather it was not open) but I will rate this place a 9/10 just because of the lack of communication, everything else was perfect 😊

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. My wife and I were hoping for a simple quiet evening before an early start in Sequoia NP. That did not happen. Our neighbors were terribly loud, and I asked the Property Staff if we could move to a different room. They said they would call the neighbors and tell them to "be quiet," which only made them more belligerent and increase their noise level. My wife and I hard a very difficult time falling asleep, and were woken up by their slamming doors and barking dogs. I called the Staff again, and they went and knocked on the neighbors door, and my wife and I overheard an exchange where the neighbor yelled at the owner, bullied him until he left. My wife and I were afraid to leave our room at this point now that the neighbors were so agitated. The staff called us and said we could move to a different room, but we would have to pay a fee to do so. I wish we could have just moved to a different room from the start rather than having this situation escalate, and I was perplexed that they would charge us to move to another room. When I asked the next day if they could meet halfway for a partial refund based on our experience, I was brushed aside and hung up on when I tried to call later. I have never had such impersonal and cold service from any lodging experience. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. There are plenty of other fine looking lodging options in Three Rivers to explore Sequoia.

Nice older hotel. Convenient and friendly staff. Breakfast was an unexpected perk. Laundry available to guests was also a nice amenity.

Easy check in, friendly staff. A little older but everything was clean and functioning. Loved that there was a fridge and microwave! Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Easy access to Sequoia NP!

Poor maintenance. Filthy property. They turn off your heat/ac during your stay and threaten to charge extra if you leave it on. Free breakfast was a disaster each day. Property charged a $20 misc. fee at check-in, but the clerk was unable to say what it was for. Uncomfortable beds. Our stay was a disaster. No housekeeping to speak of.

I rarely leave bad reviews but this was awful. The front desk staff was rude and tried to double bill me. The room I reserved was advertised as a “room with a view of the river” except all you see from the room is a gravel and concrete levee. The property was dog friendly so I brought my 8 pound shorkie. The day I spent in the National park I left my dog in the hotel room for her comfort and safety. When I returned to the hotel my room key was de-activated. I went back to the front desk to tell the front desk staff person that my room key didn’t work. The same rude woman I met the day before. She immediately responded with, “Do you have a dog?! You didn’t pay the pet fee. I need to collect that from you.” The staff intentionally de-activated my room key to collect the $35 pet fee. They didn’t ask if I had a pet when I arrived and they could have just billed the fee to my card on file. Instead they shut off my access to my room and held my dog hostage. I will never stay here again. Plus this place was a dump. Save yourself the trouble. There’s a newer Comfort Inn a little further down the street.

Nice stay, we’ve noticed some improvements when comparing to older reviews. Was not award of the small free breakfast that was offered at the reception. Beds are good, and housekeeppng service excellent.

Rude office personnel, air conditioner kept stopping, poor remodel, breakfast ran out of food, shower soap not in room, water temperature in the shower kept changing. Toilet backed up for no reason. Would never stay here again

Convenient to Sequoia NP; nice clean room, able to drive to nearby restaurant. Liked the setting outside the room for a relaxing area.

Location is excellent, near sequoia national park.

We had such a lovely stay here. All the staff was so friendly. We loved that their was a river literally right behind the hotel that we could swim in. They also had a pool that was nice. We had a fabulous stay here.

This property is close to entrance to Sequoia National Park. Very convenient to stay overnight and get an early start to the NP. The place is spacious.. but the rooms were average. The chairs were outdated and not great to sit on.. But good value and basic amenities provided.

Very convenient location. King deluxe room was old but clean and nice enough. Great option for a last minute booking if you're visiting Sequoia.

In proximity to the entrance of Sequoia National Park - good. Otherwise the property was a bit old and weathered. Same, the quality had seen a better day.

This property was close to the entrance of the sequoia national Forest, and I had easy access to local attractions

The location of this Western Holiday Lodge is amazing. We enjoyed our time there a lot after visiting the Sequoia National Park.

Said that Breakfast 7:30 wasn’t ready at all Couldn’t fine anybody. Door was locked Left without breakfast.

Old motel, no frills but very good overall. The people upstairs were very noisy, every step came through so loudly. We were only there one night so not a big deal. I liked that they had chairs to lounge in front of your room. Also complimentary breakfast in the lobby but start time was 7:30am which means if you want an early start for your day, this time is inconvenient.

Poor air conditioning. Our room AC did not work the whole night and we had to keep the windows open since the room was very warm in the night. The front desk denied any corrections and said the AC was working the next day morning after unplugging and rebooting which would be otherwise difficult for a regular guests. Please check AC condition before agreeing to stay in the room. No breakfast provided too.

The room is OK, to our surprise, there is a very simple complimentary breakfast for us, cereal, bread and butter, instant oatmeal, self-served waffle, milk, water and some hard boiled eggs

Convenient for a place to stay after visiting Sequoia national park but expensive for what you get. No breakfast available, bed was poor quality.

This is a budget hotel. Its close to Sequoia National Park. Very quiet even though right off Highway. Wish the breakfast opened early currently opens at 7:30

The setting in which the motel sits is stunningly beautiful---our doors opened up to a small porch where we could sit and look out on the lake and mountains. We had no difficulties with noise and staff were helpful when needed. The continental breakfast was a little underwhelming, however they did provide waffles which is what my son was hoping for and coffee for me.

The rooms could use some updating and they were not offering breakfast during our stay, but it was extremely clean and the service was great!

Old place. room was not very clean. staff not friendly. air conditioner noisy, making it hard to sleep at night. breakfast was the same every morning and just ok. only thing hot was the waffle and toast.
