The winsow sills and corners of the room were rather dusty, but the bedsheets, bathroom were all clean and neat. The staff were very nice at check-in (in the restaurant.) We did not eat there, so i can't comment on that, but there's a deck overlooking the river - beautiful. Parking was a slight challenge. It was full when we returned from the park around 7 so we visited a store down the road before returning and finding a spot. It's a small property, but that is why it's nice and quiet.

this is the closest hotel to the three rivers entrance to Sequoia. Just 2 minutes away. The restaurant setting is lovely. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are a bit rustic and parking is limited but all in all a very good stay.

Location and service are the best. It's a stones throw away from the entrance to Sequoia Nat'l Park and a full bar is great to return to after a day of hiking. The staff go out of their way to be helpful, and restaurant breakfast and dinner were pretty good! The view over the river from the restaurant was nice. Only complaints were that previous guests left half eaten food in our dresser and a used washcloth that had not been cleaned out before we checked in, and the rooms are a little drafty. Still, overall had a positive stay and the convenience of this hotel simply can't be beat.

The babbling brook next to the restaurant was beautiful, and it is the closest hotel to the Sequoia National Park entrance. The hotel rooms are quaint and homely. Parking can be a bit of a difficulty during night hours as it is a popular place for the bar. I would heavily recommend enjoying the waffles from Sequoia Coffee Co. and the pizza from Pizza Factory. Both are about 15 minutes out, but also delicious.

There is no front desk, you check in at the hostess station in the restaurant. The rooms were tiny. The beds were leaning and not comfy. The a/c barely worked and the room was hot. There is no designated parking. If the restaurant is busy the lot is full and there is nowhere to park. I would not stay there again and do not recommend.

Room had overpowering bad musty smell. So bad. Needs new carpet or a dehumidifier or something. No where to walk dog(all gravel, no outdoor area except parking lot), I ended up going behind lodge next door where they had a nice “backyard” area. Parking lot for rooms is very small and right at the back door for the restaurant so the dumpster/trash stank. Restaurant was delicious but expensive. Would eat there again but would not stay at the lodge due to room smelling so bad. Very convenient location to Sequoia Natl Park

My family spent one night here. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed eas extremely comfortable. I usually have a difficult time sleeping with two hip replacements but this was like home to me. I left something in the room when we left and the house keeper brought it out to my car for me. The food was great, the staff was excellent. I’ll definitely be back.

We only stayed one night on our way out of Sequoia NP. Everyone was friendly and the restaurant was nice with good atmosphere. The parking lot was packed do to restaurant partons. They did keep the spot in front of our room clear. This was greatly appreciated after a long week of camping. Unfortunately the room was really grimy with hair in the shower drain, and on the bedding. AC and frig were insanely loud. Plus there was a 2 inch centipede in the room. If the room was more well kept and less noisy it would be a great place to stay. You can't get any closer to Sequoia National Park.

Pros close to sequoia national park. Stayed in river house with my 3 teenagers. The deck was great with a beautiful view of the river. The towels were great and new ones were given to us on the 2nd day. Cons, the smell of garbage was awful. The kitchen was nasty, the sink didn’t drain. The place needs a good deep cleaning. The air conditioner smelled like mold. Wouldn’t stay here again. This was part of a large trip to the west coast it was probably my least favorite place.

The property is not maintained, 1 of the rooms smells like damp towel, which we didn’t use and kept the door closed to make sure the whole place don’t smell. The kitchen is good, location is good. The food at the restaurant is great and servers are nice. Wish they maintain the place better, perhaps changing the carpet will make it feel a little bit more homey and feel cleaner.

Almost everything was great. Got the key and went to a nice room that had everything. There was a AC, but we could sleep there with one small window opened in a restroom. It was enough of fresh air for both of us. And the mattress is too hard for a skinny side sleeper. It was painfull to sleep until i put smth beneath the sheet. Also, this place gets a little noisy in the early morning. Some trucks arrive at around 7 and, without turning off the engine for an hour or so, don't let you sleep. The restaurant seemed to be a little bit too expensive. So we, personally, ate at different places. But, overall, it was a good stay for sure.

Our cabin was right on the river. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee and in the evening sipping a glass of wine while enjoying the rushing rapids of the river below.

The Gateway was a fantastic place to stay for visiting Sequoia. The little cabin was perfect for 2 people and we had a balcony overlooking the river which was a lovely bonus. Plenty of space in the room and a lovely queen bed with a great mattess and pillows. The bathroom was a little cramped and the light above the mirrow did not work. The shower was small with a non-adjustable shower height and it was hard to get the water temperature balanced. The restaurant was lovely, recommend to eat on the deck over the river.

We expected the property to be closer the the park and were surprised that it was over an hours drive from our destination. The restaurant was great. The staff was pleasant but not helpful. We were ready to go at 6:30 but the restaurant/office did not open until 8:00 so we stayed longer than anticipated to check out. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Beautiful stream side location.

We initially had an issue with too much air freshener in our room and once we asked about it, the staff immediately put an ionizer in the room and took care of the problem completely. The restaurant served great food and very large portions. The bed and shower were great. Cleaning staff was incredibly friendly as were bartenders and wait staff.

THE CLERK AT THE PROPERTY TOOK MY CREDIT CARD AND RECHARGE MY PREPAID ROOM. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT IT WAS PAID VIA EXPEDIA ON MY DISCOVER CARD AND WOULD HEAR OF IT. HE CHARGED ME $256. SO I PAID TWICE AT THIS FACILITY. I TRIED TO TALK TO MANAGMENT AND THEY WERE NOT AVAILABLE DURING MY STAY. The hotel is older yet still quaint. It is the closest accommodations to the south entrance to Sequoia Nat'l Park. The location is VERY scenic and peaceful. Food in the restaurant was good though a bit pricey. Service was GREAT and people very friendly. Would stay here again.

Everything across the board was decent. Good location. Would recommend to people hoping to be close to Sequoia. Not the best but does the job for short term travelers.

Excellent location close to the entrance to Sequia. Rooms are on the smaller side, but very clean and equipped with everything you need. Friendly employees. Food and cocktails at the restaurant were very good. Reservations are requested. We ate there both nights of our stay. I could see parking being a little tight during the high season, due to the popularity of the restaurant, but we had no trouble at the end of April. Would definitely stay again

this is the closest hotel to the three rivers entrance to Sequoia. Just 2 minutes away. The restaurant setting is lovely. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are a bit rustic and parking is limited but all in all a very good stay.

The babbling brook next to the restaurant was beautiful, and it is the closest hotel to the Sequoia National Park entrance. The hotel rooms are quaint and homely. Parking can be a bit of a difficulty during night hours as it is a popular place for the bar. I would heavily recommend enjoying the waffles from Sequoia Coffee Co. and the pizza from Pizza Factory. Both are about 15 minutes out, but also delicious.

We initially had an issue with too much air freshener in our room and once we asked about it, the staff immediately put an ionizer in the room and took care of the problem completely. The restaurant served great food and very large portions. The bed and shower were great. Cleaning staff was incredibly friendly as were bartenders and wait staff.

The Gateway was a fantastic place to stay for visiting Sequoia. The little cabin was perfect for 2 people and we had a balcony overlooking the river which was a lovely bonus. Plenty of space in the room and a lovely queen bed with a great mattess and pillows. The bathroom was a little cramped and the light above the mirrow did not work. The shower was small with a non-adjustable shower height and it was hard to get the water temperature balanced. The restaurant was lovely, recommend to eat on the deck over the river.

Extremely overpriced 1950s-style motel outside the national park. I expected something special for the price, but I was wrong. We didn't feel comfortable leaving our room because the deadbolt couldn't be locked from the outside, leaving only an easily bypassed handset lock. The food wasn't bad, but really, $29 for a hamburger? It's close to a park entrance, but I'd drive the extra miles to avoid this place.

Cute little lodge. Kinda strange to check in at the restaurant. The room was cute. Very small. Beds were comfy. Our room look to be remodel. It was clean and the shower was cool rock. Restaurant wasn’t as good as I was expecting. Very expensive. Very close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park.
